The romance between the two main characters felt forced at times and I did not enjoy these scenes. Especially when she attacked him during their first sexual encounter it seemed like it led to force sex and this was not something I enjoyed reading.

The use of Norse mythology throughout the book was an interesting concept but I thought it was highly flawed in places. It felt like the concept was being developed throughout the novel when I feel like it should have been thought out a bit more before being put in the novel.

Overall it was a good read that I am glad I persevered with the novel and finished it.
