I loved Lora Leigh’s Elite Ops series and I fell in love with this new series as well. Collision Point is a suspenseful and erotic romance with a hot alpha male as well. I can’t wait to read more of this series.

Collision Point is book 1 of a new series, Brute Force by Lora Leigh. This is the story of Riordan “Rory” Malone and Amara Resnova. I have been dying to read Rory Malone’s story for years and when I heard Ms. Leigh was writing it, I did my happy dance. In reading this book, she outdid herself for the story is full of action, intrigue, betrayal, angst, heartbreak, passion, desire and undying love.
Amara has lost a year of her life due to memory loss. It is known by her that she was abducted horribly beaten but saved by Rory and his team. Then as Rory and his team were recusing her, the unthinkable happens.. fast forward six months and she is dealing with the memory loss which happened the night of her kidnapping and beating. Amara is not dealing well with her loss of memory and on top of it, someone is trying to kill her. What she remembers are in her dreams of her being in danger and Rory protecting her. So she goes to find Rory who she thinks she can trust. Rory works for Brute Force Protection Agency and he , once upon a time, was Amara’s bodyguard. He also was for a brief period her lover and they had a secret relationship going. But after the tragic incident happened, she hasn’t seen Rory since. Now she is back to see Rory because she is searching for answers months after everything happened. Will Rory want to help her ? Will Amara find the answers she was seeking or will who is trying to kill her be able to make good on that threat? Will Rory and Amara finally get their HEA? All these questions plus more will be answered when you read this sizzling, steamy, romance read by the Queen of Romance Lora Leigh.
My Rating: 4.8 stars *****

From the start of the book, I felt like I was missing too much information. I pushed through hoping the book would get better. It was not horrible, but just not a book to my liking. I prefer suspense with romance, not romance just I itself.

This new series is erotic, suspenseful and complete with an alpha male. For those who have read the Elite Ops series, this is a spin off. This story can be read as a standalone. Some of the secondary characters will make more sense as they cross over from the other series.

A star crossed lover theme as Ms. Leigh loves to use, Rory and Amara are kept apart by Amara's father. Despite a disapproving parent, Amara and Rory can not resist each other. Working as a bodyguard for Amara, Rory becomes intimately familiar with her. Unlike her former bodyguards, Rory gets under Amara's skin. As with all Ms. Leigh's recent stories, her males are alphas who are a bit more on the domineering side. The women are at times independent and other times a helpless confused female. In this story, Amara vacillates between the two extremes. She has reason to, as she's lost her memory for the past year due to an injury.

Full confession, I'm a fan of Ms. Leigh. Ever since her I found her through her erotic Bound Hearts series, I am hooked on all her books. She holds a special place in my heart because she's the first one who brought me into the magical world of erotica and kink. I state this because I acknowledge I have a soft spot for her and I like her particular style of writing. Over the years, Ms. Leigh's writing continues to explore the romantic suspense genre. Each of these series which explores it is heavy on the erotica and light on the suspense. For those who are looking for more plausible military or suspense plots, this series may feel a bit light. For those looking for a dangerous protective alpha male who would die for their "woman", she is the author for you.

This story does contain some steamy erotic scenes with Ms. Leigh's trademark dominance kinky games. The sexual tension between Amara and Rory feels strained. Whilst their sexual chemistry works, their estrangement feels too contrived for me. And this is where I wish Ms. Leigh would work on her craft more. Her stories are feeling increasingly forced through contrived conflicts. The biggest hurdle for Amara's relationship with Rory happens to be her father. Yet when it comes down to it, it is a rather weak reason as it is questionable if he really does disapprove. Another point which needs more work is the villain. In the last few books, the villains are more or less right under the noses of the "hero". For a character who is built up to be such a "super agent" man, they come across clueless. This is jarring for readers who expect more out of a special ops character. Lastly, betrayal from family is a bit of a

*3.5 stars*

Lora Leigh is definitely one of my go to authors. I can always expect a great story from her. This one was probably not my favorite but also not my least favorite... fell somewhere in the middle.

There is a TON of angst in this book and it breaks your heart a bit if this is difficult for you but this story was one of those that was tough anyway. Lovers torn apart by circumstances, trying to find their way back to each other and find the connection that they once shared. Some tropes are not my fave and memory loss is one that is sort of hit or miss for me so this was a tough one.

Lots of heat though - which I personally enjoyed - but missed some of the connection to the story that I was looking for...

I have previously read Lora Leigh books and definitely this is not one of her best but not bad either , it was a good story but I felt it was rather jumpy it took me a while to get hold of the plot but once I did it was a good read. Lora definitely has a niche to create brilliant characters and plot. She is definitely one of those authors I enjoy reading.

Rory and Amara were ripped apart six months ago. He had just rescued her from her abductors but was gravely injured in the process. Afterwards Amara cannot recall anything of the previous 6 months or her burgeoning romance with Rory.

Fast forward 6 months and Amara is plagued by snippets of memories and dreams of Rory. She manages to track him down and demands to know what went on between them. Rory has given Amara enough time to recuperate, he is ready to claim her as his and to hell with her trying to keep them secret from her former Russian Mob father.

But someone wants Amara dead and she has already managed to evade death..can she keep ducking those who want her dead?

Amara captures your imagination as she tried to piece together her missing months and struggles with her overwhelming feelings for Riordan. Riordan has the trifecta for the superb hero - Possessive, Persistent and Protective. He'll do whatever he can to keep Amara safe , even if it means allowing her to risk her safety and possibly her sanity to do so.

Lots of secondary characters keep your head on swivel, never really knowing who was the "bad guy" until the big reveal. Superb story, great characters and I want to read the next book NOW!

At the beginning of the story I felt that the plot jumped around quite a bit and I couldn't get my head around who was who and that isn't ideal. I have read the author's previous books and really enjoyed them so I persevered and it improved massively and by the end I was really enjoying the story.

The characters were strong as was the storyline and I really hasn't guessed 'whodunit' until the very end. The details were good and there was enough content to keep me engaged without it becoming boring. I have given the book 4 stars due to the blip with the beginning, it is one I would recommend it

Collision Point is book 1 of a new series, Brute Force. At first, I was VERY confused. I felt like I was missing something and the story seemed to just jump right into a plot. Upon further exploration, this apparently is a spin off of another series. Ok, not critical, but good to know that these characters have a deeper history! I liked that the story jumps right into the action, but I felt very confused as to what was really going on. This is a second chance story, so understand the history of these two characters is important.

The story has lots of intrigue. Amara was kidnapped previously and hasn't recovered all her memories. However, she knows she is being hunted again. She knows, somehow, that Riordan can help. She doesn't remember everything, but knows he will keep her safe. However, they also apparently had a sexual relationship and Riordan is quick to pick up on THAT aspect again.

As a romantic suspense story, Collision point had potential. However, the action is constantly paused so Amara and Riordan can have sex. I mean literally every chapter had a little action and then sex. It was a bit much and made the plot feel VERY choppy. I also felt like I didn't really get to know Amara and Riordan because their relationship felt shallow and focused on sex. Having pointed out that issue, I think Collision Point and the Brute Force series has potential. There was an interesting plot that would please fans of romantic suspense, and plenty of sexy times for those who need more romance!

Destiny unfolds amid treacherous waters…

This is the first book in the Brute Force series that can be read as a stand-alone, this is also a spin-off of the Elite Ops series.

This story opens with an explosive bang, the woman Riordan Malone loves was abducted by unknown enemies and with a trusted team he’s gone in for her retrieval. What he finds breaks his heart but she’s still alive, as the extraction begins all hell breaks loose and the pain they both feel touches their souls.

Six months have passed and Amara Resnova has no recollection of the past year or her abduction, the dreams/nightmares she suffers from are stunningly vivid and memory driven. Something wants to be let out but the mind is a strange organ, it protects us from what we are not ready to handle. Within those dreams is an enigmatic man who calls to her on the deepest of levels, who she once knew though not how deeply, with strange occurrences happening around her it’s imperative she find him for she just inherently knows that he is her only true protection. It’s taken Riordan time to recuperate from that dangerous mission but he always meant to go back for Amara, that she managed to track him down accelerated his time frame and she might not like the conditions he’ll impose for his protection. Her penchant for defiance against alpha arrogance made their dynamics challenging for both of them.

The protagonists had such an intense, passionate connection that leapt off the pages. The Irish have a saying about an eternal love, grá síoraí, that once in a lifetime love that transcends to the paranormal, Riordan discounted such a thing could exist for himself until he met Amara. Though she suffers from amnesia and her mind has forgotten him, her body and senses have not and that is what he’ll use to awaken the memories and bring the relationship he can’t live without back to life. Her subconscious mind does fight him but her conscious mind knows the truths she hides from need to come to light.

This book had great, strong, likable characters who were emotionally deep and showed growth, there was thrilling action and suspense with a surprising twist at the ending. The intriguing plot was inclusive of heinous betrayals, hidden truths and manipulations, the Russian mafia, secret government agencies, and what the true definition of justice really is for those on the ground. What will a father do for his child? It all revolved around the answer to that question.

There was a dual point of view giving us a richer insight into the main characters. This work was different from other romantic suspense by this author as to how it unfolded yet this reader found the subtle nuances strangely fascinating and at times thought provoking.

An advanced reading copy was obtained from the publisher via NetGalley.

Action filled romance with an Alpha male. I love the characters in the Action series of Lora Leigh! The men are protective and the women are the perfect match. I love how the Alpha male not only protects his woman but also fights the bad guy and takes apart an evil enterprise. The story is full of action and intense romance! I think this series just keeps getting better and can't wait to read the next one.

Collision Point is a fast paced romantic suspense filled with action, steamy hot scenes, danger, betrayal, love and loyalty. The most intriguing element is the power of predestined soul mates.

Rory is an elite ops agent working as a bodyguard. He is intense, passionate and protective towards those he loves.

Amara is the daughter of a mob boss converted to more legal activities. She is sheltered and adored by her father.

This novel kicks off with an extremely painful situation. Rory is desperate to rescue Amara from her abductors and is faced with the most heartbreaking sight.

Six months later Amara goes in search of Rory as a result of her recurring dreams where he always features. He has been unable to contact her for various reasons, one of which being that he barely escaped the rescue mission. She has no recollection of the past year and isn't aware of her relationship with him. The thing is, her soul recognises him and she feels this intense attraction towards him. She is baffled by her reaction to his presence. He isn’t too happy about the threats on her life and swears to protect her at all costs. Will he be able to trigger her memory into what happened to her on that fateful night? This is vital to eliminating the threats and rekindling their relationship.

It's a great storyline which is somewhat rushed in places. Nathan, Rory's brother is a constant in this novel, but there are only snippets of what happened to him. There are some information about Amara's life as a child, but some aspects remain obscure. The unraveling of some of the mysteries are quite shocking and the explanation about the bond between Rory and Amara is mesmerising. Despite some of the shortfalls, it's still a compelling and addictive read.

I was kindly issued with an ARC and the views expressed are my personal opinion.

I have read and enjoyed many, many Lora Leigh books in the past, so I was exceptionally disappointed here. The plot was lackluster and there was just so much sex that it overtook any of the story line. The general idea of the plot had promise, but this book did not deliver.

Riordan Malone and Amara Resnova were once lovers until they had everything ripped away from them through lies and manipulation. Not only did they lose each other but the each almost lost their lives. Now Amara finds herself depending on Riordan once again to keep her safe. She can't remember everything that happened in the past but what she does know is that the passion and love they shared was all consuming. Now the more time they spend together the more the past is coming back to her and the more their love is reigniting. If they survive the current threat will they be able to get back what they lost?

This was a good and enjoyable read with lots of steam and a great romance. I would have like a little more suspense and action but overall I would recommend this one.

I felt confused for a lot of the book that made me lose interest for most of it. I didn't get the back story of the capture or the Nathan/Noah story. Amara's father is toe-ing the line of legal enterprises, which can put his family in danger. Riordan is a strong willed alpha male who takes keeping Amara safe very seriously. After her abduction he is determined to get her back in his life.

There is so much chemistry leading to a very sex driven story, so if that is not your thing you will not like this book.

COLLISION POINT by Lora Leigh is book One in the "Brute Force" series. This is the story of Riordan “Rory” Malone and Amara Resnova.

That was about six months ago and she still dealing with the memory loss but she does know someone is trying to kill her. This book started mid point in their relationship...I just wanted to mention that in case that would be a problem.
Overall exciting read~!

I, like most romance fans, enjoy Lora Leigh's romances. It's not only the stories that draw you in, but also the hero and heroine and of course their chemistry and the numerous times that they come together to show us this sizzling chemistry ;)

This is the first book of Leigh's new "Brute Force" series. Who doesn't enjoy alpha heroes who not only love fiercely but will do everything and anything for the woman in their life? "Collision Point" starts off with a bang and we see our heroine Amara Resnova being rescued from her kidnappers. The last thing any man, especially a man like Riordan Malone, wants to see is his woman battered and injured and the only comfort he is able to find is the fact that he and his team are the ones who got to save her.

Amara Resnova is the only child of Ivan Resnova. A Russian crime lord who is trying to live a clean life but seems to find himself unable to de-tangle himself from his ties to his old life. His only weakness is his daughter. So when Amara is kidnapped by his enemies he is devastated. What's worse, upon regaining consciousness she seems to have no recollection of the last year of her life.

Riordan "Rory" Malone is a member of an elite group of special ops. He has been hired by Ivan Resnova to protect his daughter. The attraction between Rory and Amara is instantaneous and intense. But when she loses her memory he not only has to remind her of their bond but also has to uncover the identities of the men responsible for putting her in this state.

While reading this book I got the feeling that there was a backstory and I later discovered that Rory's brother Noah was the hero in one of Leigh's previous books. You can still enjoy this story without having read that book, but I believe that I would have enjoyed it more if I had read it myself. Having said that, judging by this book, the "Brute Force" series is promising to be a highly exciting and hot series. Can't wait to read more!!!

Amara Resnova is the daughter of Ivan Resnova, who had ties with the Russian mob. That’s before he decided to leave Russia and work with the authorities. In the process of trying to keep his daughter safe, Ivan hired a security team in addition to his own security. He wanted to leave nothing to chance. He hires Rioridan Malone, who is part of an Elite Ops Group, specializing in the highest security possible. However, Ivan became lax in the security and sent Rioridan to London on another mission. It was during this time that security was breached and Avara was removed from the New York apartment. By the time Rioridan and his team found her, Amara was almost dead. Rioridan rescues her, but at the expense of almost losing his own life. While Amara is healing physically, she is a mess mentally. It seems that she has lost a year of her memory. She manages to track Rioridan down to let him know, that she needs his help, because she feels someone is out to kill her. Rioridan is hired once, again, but the couple feels like there is something that is brewing between them. Ivan does not think anyone is trying to do harm to his daughter, but when there are three failed attempts on her life, he wants assurances from the group that she will be kept safe. Why would anyone want to kill her? How does the person know her every move? Is it someone on the inside? Will Avara regain her memory? What’s she blocking in her memory? Does Ivan really have legitimate and legal businesses? Will the find the culprit? I enjoyed some of the plot and the characters. But I felt there was too many sex scenes in the book for me. I think that with the plot set up the way it was, there was enough of a great mystery to keep the author entertained without all of the sex scenes laced throughout the entire book. The sex scenes actually became boring to me after a while. I believe the plot was key in this book. Still a good mystery.

I will not restate the plot nor reveal any spoilers in this review.
Collision Point is a wild rollercoaster suspense that will leave you breathless. This book is well-written and the author has developed deeply emotional characters. This is a classic amnesia-based whodunit that will leaving you guessing until the end. This is a semi-standalone book, meaning that my knowledge of previous events would have enhanced my reading enjoyment of this fabulous novel. However, that being said, this novel tells a complete story, minus some of those previously mentioned details. Collision Point does end well, but be warned: there are more books to follow. A great read by a very talented author.
