Collison Point: A Brute Force Novel by Lora Leigh is an excellent romantic thriller, one I highly recommend. Amara has spent six months with the realization she lost a year of her memory after a brutal attack that should have ended her life. When Amara is not having horrible nightmares, she is dreaming of erotic encounters with the same man, one she suspects she knows. Amara goes on a desperate search that leads her to Riordan, whom she finds was a part of her life during the year she lost.
Riordan has a strong bond to Amara, one slightly otherworldly that intrigued me immediately. Amara shares this bond with Riordan, indicated by dreams that were too vivid to be her subconscious mind, and her ability to find him when her memory loss should have made it impossible. Riordan is aggressive, both in and out of the bedroom. I enjoy a good alpha male. Riordan fits well into this category and is one of the better ones I have run across. Riordan's personality is well balanced with the tenderness he expresses for those he loves. Amara is vulnerable but not subservient to her male counterparts, which is important for me to embrace the heroine of the story. From the start, Riordan and Amara have fantastic chemistry which invested me in their relationship.
The tension resulting from Amara's missing memories begins immediately. With the realization that Riordan is actually from Amara's past to Amara's missing memory holding the identity of her old captors still hunting her, I was on the edge of my seat at times. Unwrapping this story's mystery was a welcome addition to the love story. Having enjoyed Collision Point immensely, I will be trying more stories from Lora Leigh. All opinions are my own and may not be identical to others. I urge all readers to come to their own conclusions. I voluntarily received an ARC copy of this book through NetGalley.
A very interesting love story between bodyguard Riordan and Amra Russian ex-mafia doughter. A well-written story with full of suspense mystery and hot hot hot scenes between former lovers Riordan and Amra. Amra lost her memory and she doesn't remember what happened for the past year so she asks Riordan for help not knowing that he was more than a bodyguard to her. Someone wants Amra dead and Riordan is prepared to sacrifice his life again for the woman he loves. The story has an element of supernatural. I loved how until the end we didn't know why or who wants Amra dead that we discovered through her and with her about the life she was unable to remember. Amra and Riordan are both developed characters, interesting. I liked Riordan's eagerness to make Amra his the alpha male in him. I liked that Amra was not hundred percent devoted to Riordan until she didn't have her memories back and was capable to control her father and Riordan.

Unless you've read the Elite Ops Series, I don't recommend you read this book. Even though this book is being marketed as a new series, it is really a spin-off and tied very closely to the Elite Ops Series. I guarantee that if you pick this book up expecting a complete standalone book, like me, you will be very disappointed. The hero/heroine have appear to have significant history and in a lot of ways I feel just like the heroine, who has no memory of the last year. Except, there are a lot of characters she does know and the reader has no clue about. If you like a little plot with your sex, you may enjoy this book
The book opens with Riordan Malone rescuing Amara Resnova. She is badly beaten and injured and has no memory of how she came to be there or the months leading up to her rescue. Riordan, on the other hand, knows Amara intimately and has deep feelings for her. How they parted in the first place isn't relayed to the reader for a good long time. Anyway, after a six month recovery and incidences that could have been more, Amara feels she is still in danger and goes looking for Riordan. He was told that she didn't want to see him again after he recovered from his injuries sustained during the rescue where he nearly died. He has a lot of anger toward Amara, but if she feels she is in danger, he is going to do everything he can to keep her safe and find whoever is threatening her. His price? Getting back in her bed.
2 1/2-Stars
This is a spin off from the Elite Ops series and features Rory Malone and Amara Resnova. A wonderful romantic suspense book. I loved Rory and how he loved Amara. Great start to a new series.
I received a copy of this book via Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I’ll say this book was only partially what I expected. If you’ve read any of her work, you know she is pretty much an erotic romance author, so there was a lot of sex and then some mystery, a little action, and a lot of questions leaving you hanging at the end.
Memory loss plays a big part in this story. Amara has lost a year of her life in memories because of an attempt on her life, while her lover, Rory, has been recovering from a near death experience. They both realize there is a connection, but she isn’t sure why and he is worried it will be too big of a shock to her mind and won’t help her regain her memories if he tells her they were lovers. As the sexual encounters heat up between them, she begins to get her memories back. But the interference of her father and a murderer trying to kill her are holding her back. Finally the “fae” connection the Malone men have with their soulmates falls into place and allows her the safety she needs to remember. Lora keeps up the mystery right until the end.
Many people have complained that there is too much sex in it and not enough story. I disagree with the sex part based on what I know about her other books from looking at the many synopsis. That is exactly what her followers are expecting–lots of sex. I will say this novel delivered the erotic magnificently, but I have to agree the story was a little light for me. There was a lot of revelations about the mystery at the end, but not too much throughout. I really would liked to have seen more of the type of opening scene throughout the book. Also, there is such a story about the brother Noah that I’m not sure I would consider this a stand alone. She makes a lot of references to his brother’s story. There is a lot going on there. Because of those issues I have to give this one 3 of 5 propellers.
The Malone family legend of finding a soulmate and being able to share thoughts, emotions and even memories with that person was awesome. I liked Amara as an heroine , she was strong and opinionated.Rory was devoted to Amara right from start but did have a cocky way of showing it.
Although I never felt the urge to skim, this was bogged down with too much inner dialogue and I'm not a fan of the countless flashbacks throughout the book.
At times they felt a bit disjointed and it was hard to keep track of the time jumps. It also felt like we missed out on what attracted these two and ultimately brought them together to begin with. The emotional connection was missing. We're told they love each other but we don't actually get to see them falling in love.
The mystery behind Amara's abduction had a few twists and turns I didn't see coming but was a bit rushed towards the end. Things were tied up too neatly and in the end felt anticlimactic.
Would I recommend? Lora Leight writes good romantic suspense with action and a lot of mystery and intrigue. Although not my favorite,I'm sure fans will like this new spin off series.

This book brought me so much joy. Seriously, there is nothing like a heart racing romantic suspense book by Lora Leigh to make my day.
This book, in my opinion, has an "old Lora Leigh" feeling. It's like she went back to her roots with this one. I love her writing, but her Elite Ops series from years ago holds a special place. This new series seems to be a spin off from that. Characters from the Elite Ops make appearances, which makes my heart sing.
Riordan and Amara lit up the pages with every smouldering glance they shared. Sweet baby Jesus, Lora Leigh is one of a few authors who can still make me blush. I loved the possessiveness that Riordan had over Amara. It was all alpha and growly, and kinda made me swoon.
One of the things that I can expect from a romantic suspense by this author are the details. Lots and lots of details. It's not information overload, but it's a well thought out and plotted series of twist and turns. I found myself gasping out loud and using my amateur sleuthing skills to try and unravel the intricate web. So much freakin' fun!
Amara has lost a year of memories. She doesn't remember loving Riordan, but she senses that she needs him and that he was important. Riordan is determined to to find out the secrets that are locked in her mind...and to have her back in his life.
All the ingredients needed to make a thrilling romantic suspense are in this book ; betrayal, secrets, alpha heroes, and sexy times. I don't want to give away the details of the plot because the fun part is going on the journey and watching the mystery unfold.
If you're in the market for a book that has a panty melting hero, a strong heroine, captivating writing, and love scenes that'll bring you to your knees...this one is for you! Collision Point is a brilliant start to this new series.

3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book had great potential but just fell short for me. I could never get into the pace of the book and I always felt like I was missing something. And while the storyline was good, I felt lost because I didn’t know all of the characters who cross over from another series. I did like the push and pull between the two main characters.
Kidnapping, amnesia and fated mates (no this is not paranormal)
Riordan “Rory” Malone, special ops badass
Amera Resnova, lawyer and daughter of a Russian mafia figure
Rory rescues Amera from a kidnapping. He is injured in the process and isn’t able to see her for six months. She doesn’t know why he has disappeared. Amera just remembers that Rory is a special person for her. The kidnapper is still coming for her, so Rory returns to her father’s house to be her bodyguard. This book was problematic for me. I had a hard time following all the names in the story. Rory is an alpha hole. He is not my favorite hero. I loved Amera. She is wounded, but refuses to stay a victim. The author mentions a seaside resort, but the location is in New Mexico? There is lots of smexy times, but this is a Lora Leigh novel after all. You should expect nothing less.

Brute Force is a new suspense series by Lora Leigh. When you first start this novel it's a bit confusing. There's a whole lot of missing information you don't get until later on in the story. You just have to ride it out. Amara is in search of Rory and how he can help her solve what is happening to her. She can't remember why she needs him just that she does.
Neither of these two characters are really forthcoming. Rory and Amara have both been healing from being close to death and now she's trying to figure out why she feels someone's trying to kill her.
Rory knows someone's after her just not who. The only way to figure it out is to take point over her security and tick off her daddy. What must be done must be done right?
So these two have combustible chemistry. They're actually really good for one another. He's pretty Alpha and she tries to be but in the bedroom she submits to Rory quite easily.
I enjoyed reading this first book of this series. I'm looking forward to reading the others too. I think the author, Lora Leigh, did a great job bringing the suspense in with the romance.
Written as a spin off the the Elite Ops series, this story was a little confusing for a stand alone. A little repeat from the previous book (other series) would have helped alleviate that. However, the characters were well defined, the sex was hot & intense (if a bit much) & the storyline interesting to follow. The plot had twists & turns to keep the reader hooked & involved.
I would give the impression of being dumped into the middle of a story 3 stars. The character development, plot organization & suspense 4 stars averaging 3.5. If you give this book a chance, I think you'll enjoy it.
I enjoyed the story as I do most of Lora Leigh’s books. Characters were engaging it. If you liked her Elite Ops books, you will definitely want to read this.
This first book in a new series was a good read full of suspense, thrills, and sexy romance. There are lots of twists and turns to keep you guessing. I liked the characters of Amara and Rory and found them to be complex and compelling. I believe I would have enjoyed the story more if I had read the Elite Ops series, as several characters appearing in this book were in it and I felt I was missing something. Having said that, this book has a captivating plot that kept me turning pages. I received an ARC, this is my honest review.
Two souls separated but united in dreams *sigh*. Just remember not everything is as what it looks like. You have twists and turns, suspense, and some I didn't see that coming moments.
I really enjoyed Rory and Amara's story. I loved that Amara could stand up for herself and was able to put people in their place when necessary. She was strong but still brought out the alpha side of Rory. Rory actually has a hard time wanting to have her remember without telling her what happened.
When push comes to shove will he be able to keep her safe and find who it is before it's too late?
Riordan and Amara were both likeable characters who had great chemistry. Lots of action and some mystery as they try to find out who is trying to kill Amara. This was a page turner as the story kept a great pace with lots of steam and action. I am giving my voluntary review of an arc I received.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "Collision Point" this is a very exciting entertain story there's action, intense drama, suspense, danger, passion, anger, heartbreak you don't want to miss this amazing story about Riordan Malone who is working for Brute Force Protection Agency and Amara Renova the daughter of a crime lord. Amara had been kidnapped and brutally beaten by her father's enemies and was saved by Rory and his team he was once her bodyguard and lover after her rescue she had lost her memory. Once again Amara has a killer after her and she has to get help from Rory and his team will he help herm will they get their HEA you must read to find out I definitely recommend you read this fantastic story it won't dissappoint. I've read alot of Lora Leigh's books and loved everyone of them including this one,
A new and interesting new series from Lora Leigh, although it is a spin-off of the Elite Ops (reading this series is not necessary but it does give back-story to the characters and group). I thought this was a good story with interesting characters that had great chemistry, some nice suspense and, of course, Ms. Leigh's signature hot (and explicit) sexy-times. I thought it was well-worth the read...and made me what to go back and check out the Elite Ops books I haven't read.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. My thoughts and opinions are my own.

The story takes a back seat to talking about sex, dreaming about sex and sex. Collision Point will have readers confused as they read about Riordan and Amara who seem to have come out of no were. The story isn't a stand alone even though there is no story before it. Readers will feel as if they should already know the different characters as well as what introduced to the story.
The main story is lost in the sex scenes that seem to dominate the story to the point of distraction. Amara isn't feisty as she is more annoying and Riordan is more of a over sex teenager than a grown adult.
The story will leave readers confused, lost and bored.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy.
Collision Point is the first book of a new series from Lora Leigh, Brute Force, but as I found out later, a spin off series from a previous series. Though this could be read as a standalone, there were a few things I wish I had had more of a background.
Amara is in danger, but now so is her heart. Riordan “Rory” Malone is set on helping help her, but can he keep her heart safe as well? Because she does not remember him. Rory is the definition of a strong, determined and total alpha male. He is determined to protect Amara. I loved how protective and possessive he was of her.
This story was a mix of steaminess and suspense. Rory is determined to make her remember him, even as he continues to keep her safe. As danger nears, can she remember the man that she truly loves before its too late?
