Well I got Bea and Knox's story and ooooooh so much more! This series has me at the edge of my seat waiting to see what happens next.

I highly suggest reading the books in order because the story carries through each of the books and since this story ended with a cliffhanger I'm Jumping into the next book now.

Happy Reading!!!

Bea and Knox has had a secret affair for a while and die to the fact that her life is in danger she has tried to stay away from the family, but eventually she realized that working together is better than doing it solo. It takes the whole family to unravel a lot of family secrets.

I had to read this book to review it and I honesty wish I hadn't wasted my time. Yes, it was full of suspense but I guess i'm not a fan of the way this author writes her stories. Bea really rubbed me the wrong way. Her reasons for leaving Knox were understandable but they only put them into more danger. I think this will be my last book from this series.

This series is interesting but definitely not one of my favorites. This book os better than the first but I think the plot is pretty boring. It has potential but is just not for me. I have read just about all of them though, so there is something there that keeps me reading but I cant quite put my finger on it.

Bea and Knox's story is a second chance at being together. They came back to each other in this book and I liked that. It didn't have the feel of rushing since they already had an established although broken relationship. This book pushed the background plot even further and made it so intriguing.

This was another cliffhanger book that will leave the reader writhing for the next book. I would suggest reading the previous novellas and full-length book before tackling this one. Each book has its own set of characters but the background plot builds with each book. I definitely recommend this book and the whole series. It is packed with suspense and romance.

4 It Keeps Getting Better and Better Stars

I've been glued to my kindle from the moment I started this book because I needed to see what was going to happen next. Ms. Thomas has weaved a story that is gripping in its suspense. There's so many more secrets revealed in this book but oh man do we have even more surprises coming at us in this book.

I loved how the Benedict brothers are teaming together to get some answers. There's also some surprises that if not handled correctly could tear this family apart. This book focuses mainly on Knox and Bea. Their relationship goes through quite a few emotional upheavals that at times had me so sad for this couple because it's clear to me their love is strong but is it strong enough to sustain everything going on around them? Oh and the heat these two generate is through the roof!

We're also introduced to some additional key players in this ever growing mystery of who is The Gentleman. Plans put in motion are either thwarted or not carried out to The Gentleman's satisfaction which leads to some confrontations that change how the rest of this story will be carried out. And the cliffhanger in this book is startling!!!

Now it's on to Broken Promise where everything will become clear and I have suspicion that when everything comes to light everyone's worlds will be rocked to their very core!!!

The suspense in this series continues! Bea did the one thing that would ultimately break her heart and save her husband. Keeping Knox safe was the only thing that mattered after being brutally attacked. Be careful who you trust because their lives are at stake. Love how the plot continues to unfold and keep you guessing what will happen next and not peaking at the end is a struggle.

Deadly Secret by Tara Thomas is Son's of Broad #2. The craziness that has befallen the Benedict family continues in book two, following Knox Benedict. While Knox is the more upstanding of the Benedict brothers, certain secrets were hinted at in book one. Right off the bat we learn that Knox is married to Bea, which isn't all that surprising given their behavior in Darkest Night but the layers of secrets continue. The threats to Bea have caused her to push Knox away but he doesn't know why and won't let things get between them.

As Bea and Know work through the secrets surrounding them, and do a really poor job of keeping apart, various other mysteries surface and the Benedict brothers are forced to reveal information that they have kept hidden.

Overall I liked Bea and Knox, but was curious as to why they made the choices they did as it didn't always seem to match with their characters. The fight that they have for each other and their passion makes up for it. This was a good addition to the series as a whole and I loved learning about Knox and Bea's story.

I enjoyed Deadly Secret by Tara Thomas and can't wait for Kipling's story coming up next.

(I voluntarily reviewed an advance review copy of this book I received for free from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my open and honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.)

Great romantic suspense! The mystery and suspense were very well done and not overly dramatic. It had just enough to draw you in and keep you guessing without inducing a skull rattling eye roll. 3.5/5

Suspensefully wicked! With the next book in her Sons of Broad series, Tara Thomas continues to weave a web of danger and secrets as she brings us Knox and Bea's story. With each book we grow closer to learning who the evil Gentleman is, but he still has cards yet to play and isn't going to reveal himself just yet. You'll already be familiar with most of the key players in the storyline if you've been following along with the series, but with each book we learn more info about the family history and secrets. I found myself second guessing one of the siblings in this book, so I'm anxious to move forward and find out who the bad guy really is! Very entertaining!

Knox Benedict might have gotten married in a hurry and on the sly, but he loves his wife and will do anything to win her back. When they figure out that the danger that still lurks around her is all because of the investigation she was doing into his family's business from years ago, he steps in and tries to keep her safe. He asked her to delve into their personal affairs, so why is someone now after her for doing as he asked?

Attorney Bea Jacobs doesn't want to be apart from Knox, but danger is surrounding him as long as she's anywhere near, so she has her heart set on staying away and keeping him safe. As more questions are answered, suspicion continues to fly about who has it out for this family.

I was confused by the relationship between Bea and Knox for a while at the beginning of the story, but once I figured that out, this was a great story. There is definitely continuity and context needed with the books in the series, although technically the story stands alone.

Thank you St. Martin's Press for providing an ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I am really enjoying this series and I like the direction it's taking despite its predictable plot. In Deadly Secret, we get Bea Jacobs and Knox Benedict. These two were secretly married and honestly, I'm most looking forward to their story because I love their chemistry. The plot is still connected to the previous book and after an unsuccesful murder attempt on Tilly, The Gentleman moved on to Bea as his next target.

Bea is a lawyer and Brent's half-sister. In the last book, she was brutally attacked for snooping around and up to this day, she won't stop seeking the truth and justice on the missing / murdred women as well as the issues on the Benedict business. After her attacked, she and Knox's marriage went on the rocks. With a target on her back, Knox is in danger too. She wants to protect him at all cost. I admire her courage and independence but her stubborness annoyed the crap out of me. She became reckless around the last two or three chapters. Good thing Knox was patient. By the way, I really like him. He's a thoughtful and an attentive lover.

As for Jade, I got my theories right about her. I am excited for the next book and see Kipling chasing Alyssa. Hopefully, The Gentleman will reveal his real identity and confront the Benedicts.

This is the second full-length novel in this series following three prequels. This book was about Knox and his wife. The main characters change with each book. You don’t have to start from the beginning but I would recommend it. They build on each other and the plot continues. Sadly I wasn’t able to get into this book and didn’t finish it. I tried to go back to it a few times and wasn’t able to get into it. If you like romantic thrillers you might like this series. I just lost interest after the first full length novel.

Deadly Secret is the second installment in the « Sons of Broad » series. The author deftly combines a sweet romance and a spine-chilling mystery. This story full of secrets and deceit had me hooked from the start, I was drawn in by Knox Benedict and Bea’s characters so fast! The Benedict brothers are a fascinating mix, privileged and wealthy. And yet, appearances are misleading and their scars and pain are deeply hidden.

Each and every member of the Benedict family is a target of the Gentleman, a remarkably evil character, aiming to destroy the Benedict business empire. Unfortunately for her, Bea was in possession of information that is crucial to the Gentleman’s crime organization and she was attacked. Knox is determined to protect her, even if she wants him to stay away from her. Family secrets, betrayal and the search for the truth are the catalysts that set the story into motion.

As with the first book in the series, the pacing of the story felt a bit off to me. The story is told in multiple point of views, and I was sometimes disoriented when the POV shift occurred. But all in all, I enjoyed the story, the mystery kept me intrigued the entire read. There are still some questions unanswered and I can't wait for the next book in this suspenseful series.

The streets of Charleston are filled with danger for Bea Jacobs. She's being stalked to keep her away from the love of her life, Knox Benedict. Who wants to destroy the Beneidict family and the women they love? Will this dangerous enemy succeed? Deadly Secret is the next story in the Sons of Broad series. The suspense and the danger ramps up as their deadly adversary becomes bolder. I emphasized with Bea. It would be terrifying to be stalked and threatened as she was. Knox is determined to protect her regardless of her protests. He's a force to be reckoned with as are all of the Benedict men. Tara Thomas kept me on the edge of my seat. The surprises just kept coming. I can't wait to see what happens next.
I received a copy of this book which I voluntarily read and reviewed. My comments are my honest opinion.
