It was well written and an easy read but the pacing was a little off and I wouldn't call it erotica. I finished it in one go but there was just something off about it, it didn't draw me in in any way.

This was okay and I'm really surprised Mal grew on me as in the first chapter I really didn't like how crude he was. This was very much like a Magic Mike book in terms of the storyline etc. but was a fun read.
I did think some of the sex scenes used really cringy words that actually just pulled me out of story a bit and not feel that hotness in which it intended.
Some grammar mistakes as well but easy to overlook them but could probably do with a once over to just clean those up a bit.

This is not a book that I would normally pick up to read but am quite glad I requested it. Rebekah and Malcom meet after a fender bender that has Malcom down playing the event and Beck even more mad. She had just lost her job at a property management company and then this. However, Malcom is very handsome and that starts to bring some chemistry between the two. Fast forward a week and Beck is with her friend at a strip club for a bachelorette party. Onstage walks Malcolm and after eyeing Beck he gives her a show she won’t forget anytime soon. The bride to be, while slightly intoxicated, asked Malcolm to come to her wedding and he agrees. The book from this point really puts you in the mind of the protagonist Beck and whether she can handle the fact that Mal takes his clothes off for women. Could she trust him? He says she is the only one for him but does he mean it? There are times that Beck makes you laugh and times I wanted to shake her and say enough already. The author at points does go a little to far with the “jealousy” aspect because while Beck May have those fthoughts, she never really acts upon them.

Thank you to netgalley as well as the author/publisher for allowing me to read this book in exchange for my honest review.

This is a fun, steamy, quick read!

Beck met the hunk Mal when he rear-ended her and there is definitely chemistry between them. A week later when she is at a bachelorette party in a strip club, guess who's on the stage ... taking his clothes off? Even though Mal says that Beck is the only one for him ... she has a hard time getting over his profession ... and all those women drooling over him.

Beck made me laugh the way she loved her beat up car and that she was oblivious to the way men reacted to her. And who wouldn't love a guy like Mal ... built, handsome and has all the moves! I could just feel the sparks between them. A light-hearted read that shouldn't be missed.

I received a copy courtesy of the author through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.

I was quickly sucked into Malcom & Rebeckha's world. They had immediate chemistry even though Malcom had to work for it a bit. I loved the way their relationship developed and how well they fit together.

Book Title: Stripped
Author: Tarrah Anders
Pub Date: November 7, 2017

***ARC was provided to me by NetGalley and the publisher for a fair and honest review***

Overall rating: 4/5 Stripper and a newly unemployed girl meet in a unlikely way, start a relationship and later, a business together.

Heroine (Beck): 3/5 fun loving bridesmaid who is down on her luck. Claims to be jealous all the time but rarely do we see her act jealous.

Hero (Malcolm): 4/5 monogamist stripper turns businessman. He spends most of the story being an absolute gentleman who dances well and shrugs off the advances of other women.

Plot: 4/5 Beck was having a bad day after she got let go from her property management job, and things only got worse when Malcolm slams his car into her and makes light of the whole situation with innuendo jokes. But Mal takes and fixes the car all the while trying to score a date with Beck, but remains successful. Until the bachelorette party with Beck as the maid of honor walks into Mal’s strip club. He puts on a show for Beck and the bride drunkenly invites him to be Beck’s date to the wedding. Things heat up from there.

Personal Review: I almost didn’t read this story due to Beck being overly jealous all the time, but as I read I realized she just kept saying her feelings of jealousy. There were only two or three moments in the story where Beck actually acts jealous. Jealousy and a lack of trust in one’s partner is a major turn off for me in general. Malcolm is a really nice guy, because the story is told from his POV half the time we can see from their first meeting Beck has no reason to be jealous in the first place.

Other than that little blip it was a fun ride.

This was the first novel I have read by this author but it will not be the last. This novel sucked me in from the very first page to the very last. I loved the chemistry between Becka and Malcom. I loved the banter and the dialogue. I love when a novel can make you laugh out loud. This novel was so much fun to read I loved it.

Rebeckha is having the worst day of her life when she loses her job and then ends up being rear ended by Malcolm. Malcolm thinks she is hot and immediately tries to get her to go out with him. Beck is not feeling it. Mal is going to make it right and offers to have his buddy fix her car. Can Beck get past the fact that Mal is a dancer?

This was my first read by Tarrah Anders but what a fun introduction. The banter between these characters was great. Couldn't help but fall in love with Malcolm and his sexy down under accent. Great secondary characters I hope to learn more about. If you are looking for a fun, light read grabbed Stripped.

3.5 stars for me

I enjoyed this story and definitely connected with the premise. How would you feel dating a stripper? The jealousy, the trust issues etc. I thought the author did a good job with this one. My favourite character was Mal - sexy sweetheart that he was.

My first impression of stripped by Tara Anders is that it is an object lesson on how stalkers think and operate. Malcom’s first thoughts of Rebeckha how he might have lost the chance to get into her pants after he has rear ended her car. He then convinces her to Let him drive her home, all the while taking note of how to get back to her apartment and which apartment number she walked into. I was a little creeped out.

The writing is at times choppy then run in sentences. Lots of repetition of thought, and the storyline lurches along without much buildup from texting buddies to ‘in a relationship’, so it feels a bit abrupt when Malcom brings up forever after one date. I also couldn’t get with the idea that Rebeckha was jobless and unconcerned, and neither was her love interest. The story just didn’t resonate.

This is such an interesting read! I have never read a book about a male dancer before but Malcom is more than that. He is hardworking and knows what he wants. And he wants Rebeckha. The chemistry between these two is addicting which made this book a fun, quick read. Thank you NetGalley, Weapenry Co-Op, and Tarrah Anders for letting me read and review this book!

Had trouble getting into the story, and almost DNF'ed a few times. Took me longer than average to finish; I wasn't a fan of Rebekah, sorry :(

This book was packed with so much hotness. I loved Malcolm who was so right for Rebekha. Malcolm met Rebekha after he rear ended her car which she named Boxy. After meeting her he invited her out many times and she refused until she finally gave in. She didn't know who he was until she saw his pictures on billboards as an exotic dancer/male stripper and she was so shocked when he met her gaze during his show. This was only a side job for him for extra money, but also her was a physical trainer. I thought this story was hot by the author and would love it she could write a story on Jacks.

Rebekah /Beck thinks what does one do when the world is against you? Today she got laid off and then a truck hit her and pushed her into another truck. At least the accident wasn’t her fault. But her car could be totaled. She got out of her car and the guy in the truck ahead of her car got out then she hears a voice behind her and she sees a gorgeous man get out his truck. Who was the blame for Boxy-her car being severly injured. His name was Malcolm/Mal and he admitted it was his fault he had caused the accident and hit her car and pushed it into the other truck. When their arms touched Beck has an electronic charge go up her arm. Mal assured Beck he would have her car fixed. He offered to take her to get a rental but she said no thank you she could use an Uber. As she knew she really had nowhere to go. Mal decided there was something striking about Beck Mal figured he might as well use this opportunity to keep in contact with Beck. during the week Mal is a personal trainer when he is not rehearsing for shows. His life is centered on a routine. Mal has steady customers during the week. And he performs three- four nights a week as a dancer. Sometimes Mal wishes he had someone to share his life with. Beck has been doing a job search and finding nothing yet. She decides to throw herself into being maid of honor at her best friend’s-Deena’s- wedding to Nate. After the wedding she will really put her mind to finding another job. There is something about Beck that enchants Mal/ Beck ordered tickets to a male review for Deena’s bachelorette party. She had never been toa revue. Then at the show Mal is one of the dancers, Beck tries to avoid Mal recognizing her but it doesn’t work and then it seems all his concentration is on her. Mal has been dancing for six years and hasn’t had a girlfriend in that time. But he’s been thinking since he found Beck he possibly wanted to change that and have Beck as his.
I loved this book. It had my attention from the first page until the last. I read this in one setting. . An original way to meet someone in a car accident you caused but I loved that he was hot but still had to work on Beck to get her to go out with him. I loved that both Mal and Jacks are from another country.and their expressions and that they are best friends. I loved that Mal is setting up his own business with Jacks and Beck as his partner. I loved the end of the book!!!! I loved and felt it was realistic that the author showed the difficulties with being with an exotic dancer or really just a hot man some women can be such floozies. I happily found nothing to criticize in this book. I loved the plot and pace.Il oved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend it.

Fun romance

The book really took me a little while to get into, though it did get better as it progressed. I thought Malcolm was a great guy and really good for Rebeckha.
I received an advance readers copy from Netgalley.

I thought this was a sweet romance story. I liked that Mal and Beck were characters that loved each other enough to learn to put each other first and to grow together.

2.5

Usually when you're reading a book about strippers or dancers the dancer is female. This book turned that stereotype on it's head and is about a male stripper/dancer and his journey trying to make a better living for himself. The rest of the book is typical, but fun to read. Recommended to light reading.

It started out as one of the worst days of her life, but turns into flirty text and a subsequent, albeit, unintentional meet up. A little booze, some flirty words and bam! You are now working yourselves into each others lives. I mean, who doesn't want a hot guy who knows how to put on stripper move to be yours and yours alone? Mal and Beck are awesome together know how to have some steamy fun times. It's great when they're able to develop int something deeper, because Mail isn't just another pretty face (and hot body). The banter back and forth is fun peek into what's going on with these two, and makes for a very entertaining read.

I loved this book it was a cute and exciting read. I also liked how the author made Beck’s insecurities a real thing because it’s slmething the majority of not all girls would have going on. Also I loved Mal, he was sweet, understanding, and very hot. It was a fast paced and quick read but it was done very well that nothing felt left out of the story.

This book gave me just what I wanted!!! A sexy sweet, and funny HEA!! The story of Beck & Malcolm was awkwardly sweet from the start. After Malcolm (male dancer) rear ends Beck---no pun intended the shenanigans begin! 😉

I mean, really?!? How would you act if the guy you have been flirting with via text turns up to be the star of a male review that you and your fellow bridesmaids are attending on the Vegas strip?!? 😳🤫 Well, you just have to read the book to find out!!! 😘
