This is one of my favorite series encompassing everything that keeps me reading: suspense, excitement, romance, family. Perfect for young and mature adults there is something for everyone. I've never been one to read books with a Christian undertone but I enjoy the way she brings prayer and faith to strengthen the characters. The crew of PEAK is needed to search for survivors of a tornado when another crew is chasing them. The research done for tornadoes was as thorough as I could tell and I learned a lot. While this storyline is predominantly for Ty and Brette we get reunited with former couples. Truly a wonderful series I suggest starting at the beginning because many couples continue through each book. My copy came through Netgalley and I wrote my review voluntarily.

Storm Front, by Susan May Warren, is book 5 of the Montana Rescue series...and my most favorite of the series (until the next one comes out, no doubt!).
Wow, what can I say...I was on the edge of my seat for this one! Storm chasers! Yeah, who would, who could, who'd want to?! Brette! What a sweetie! She has gone through so much and finally doesn't care if she's chasing a storm, in the storm, or coming out of the storm...but truly she does care and the hurt is deep from all the storms in her life.
In walks Ty...He's the ever-present hero who doesn't know he's a hero!
Storm Front brought on all the emotions! Sadness for the pain, anxiety in the midst of the storms, heartbreak for the other issues that come along the way, but the best parts...the romance and hope that is throughout the entire book!
I received an ARC from the publisher. All thoughts and comments are my own.

Storm Front Book #5 of Montana Rescue Series Susan May Warren

Susan May Warren has been one of my all time favorite authors since reading her 2008 Russia Mission series, and with good reason. A prolific author, Susan May Warren’s books have sold over 1 million books sold.

Book #5 of the Montana Rescue Series, Storm Front, is exciting and breathtaking. In this novel, readers will discover Ty Remington and Brette Arnold have been through since she abruptly disappeared years ago, taking Ty’s heart with her.

PEAK Rescue Team leader, Chet King and a small group of students, are missing after a devastating tornado sweeps through a small town in Minnesota. Upon hearing his beloved mentor is missing after the storm, Ty heads to Minnesota to help with rescue operations.

Brette Arnold is a blogger, and photographer, for a group of storm chasers determined to assist in bettering the advanced warning systems for tornados. They too head to the small devastated Minnesota town.

Sparks fly when Ty and Brette meet again, pairing up as part of the rescue efforts will either bring them together or push them further apart, maybe forever.

PS As a bonus, readers learn what happens to the elusive Ben King, who is currently performing in a neighboring town. He must decided if remaining on the concert circuit without the woman he loves, and their daughter, is what he truly wants in life.

Oh, how I love this Montana Rescue series by Susan May Warren. Storm Front is the latest installment, and what an adventure it is! This story grabbed me from the first page and just wouldn’t let go to the last. Warren is a master at creating broken, realistic, yet endearing characters who progress and grow through their trials. Ty and Brette were the focus of this story, and I loved the way forgiveness of self and faith mixed with hope enabled them to become stronger.

Although it’s part of a series, this book can be read as a stand-alone. The reader will probably enjoy it more by reading the series in order, as many of the characters make appearances in the other books. Susan May Warren has quickly become one of my favorite authors, and I would recommend her books to anyone who enjoys clean, uplifting fiction.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy from Revell/NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

First I want to say that I received an ARC to read and review.

I have read each of Susan May Warren's Montana Rescue Series and they get better with each book.

Ty Remington is a member of PEAK SAR & a chopper pilot. He has always followed the gut feelings that he had until the event that shifted his self view. When his chopper went down with his mentor in the passenger seat he began to second guess everything that he did and he just knew his co-workers and friends were doing the same.
Brette Arnold spent about a year with the members of PEAK , she was the best friend of one of the women dating another PEAK member. She is a journalist/photo journalist who got scared when she felt herself falling for Ty...that was a little over a year ago. When she left she believed she would be able to get over him especially when she was given a health diagnosis that confirmed she should be alone.
But when a tornado blows through the surrounding towns they end up in the same place to help the victims search for missing people that includes one of their members and a group of students that had not been found yet. As they work together with the Red Cross and the towns people they realize they have been in love with one another and they want to see where God is sending them next.
This story was beautiful, even the scenes when the tornado blew through I felt like I was right there with Ty and Brette as they waited for it to pass through.
Mrs. Warren did not give us a fairy tale ending ( which I am happy about that) she ended with the start of another story line...I can't wait!!!

When you open a Susan May Warren book you can count on explosive action, romantic tension, and honest faith that flows through every page like a beautiful ribbon.

Ms. Warren loves her craft, and Jesus which is evident through each word she places on the page, and every character she creates.

Storm Front starts off in a whirlwind, literally. An entire town is obliterated by a tornado and we get a front row seat as the PEAK Team work together to rescue the victims.

While all of the members of the PEAK Team are present in this novel, it mainly focuses on Ty and Brette. They both struggle with faith, and the deception Ms. Warren creates is so real that when she reveals the truth it shines like a beacon in a dark sky.

I felt every emotion imaginable as I read this book, and as with every Susan May Warren novel, I was sad when it came to an end, and want the next book, NOW!

I received a complimentary copy of this book via the publisher. I was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Another great addition to the Montana Rescue series. In some books past in this series, the main characters got lost in the continuing story of the previous main characters but this was not the case in this book. I loved learning about Ty and experiencing the romance between he and Brette. Highly recommended!

I am just loving this series! Warren has hit her A-game with stories that have me racing through the pages, tugging on the heart strings and thinking about how God works in our lives. For me this is the perfect combo! We got to see a bit off Ty in "A Matter of Trust", he is always a character that is in the background, the supporter. He shines as a main character, with his own broken past and insecurities. I loved the message of how God helps us through pain and suffering, not always out of it. Great stuff. I really enjoyed reading more of Ben and Kelsey as well.
Be warned there is a bit of a cliffhanger ending. But it did not frusurate me (too much), I am definitely waiting eagerly for the next one. But a bit sad because I know that it is the last in this fantastic series.

They met a year ago and developed a deep connection, short though their time together was. Then she ran - but neither has been able to get the other out of their head.

Afraid that the cancer she's since beaten will return and kill her, Brette would have continued to avoid him if she could have, but a tornado and a group of missing people bring the two of them together over a search and rescue. Can they keep hope alive for the missing group? Will they find them in time? And will success teach Brette to hope again, or will she continue to run from the hope that she considers only increases the pain?

Clean and well-written, like all of the author's books, this book ties up some ends from earlier books in the series as well as developing another relationship. This time the spotlight is on Ty, and we see most of the happenings of this eventful week in tornado-season through the eyes of Ty and Brette, though we hear from a few other characters in the team as well. Both Ty and Brette have issues they have to deal with, and watching the process is enjoyable and inspirational, though at times somewhat gut-wrenching. Filled with suspense, romance, adventure and an inspirational message, this is a book (and series) to recommend.

This continuation of the series sees one more couple from the PEAK team tie the knot and another well on the way, but Pete's still struggling and Sierra/Shae continues in danger. The almost-literal cliffhanger ending is something to be aware of - this series is tied so tightly together that it doesn't really work to only read one book, but it's a series well-worth reading. I would normally drop my rating for such stories, but this series is too good for that - I merely warn readers what to expect.

Note that I received a free copy of the book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review and this is my considered opinion of the book.

Ty can not get her out of his mind and his heart for the last year he knows in his gut something is just not right, but he needs to respect that she doesn't want him no matter what he does. Brette is chasing storms and running from a path she's not willing to accept any other way then as its playing out. Can the two come together when the storms hit and help those in need or will it be too explosive?

I have fallen in love with the PEAK team series. No matter what the team member are going through they come together as a "family" and help each other out. This book is completely action-packed and very moving. Ty and Brette were both faced with things that were out of there control and each responded differently to the trials they faced. Ty showed that no matter what he was faced with his faith tested or not he wanted to remain firm in his faith and to hold on to God and his unconditional love no matter what. It makes you really appreciate those you have. This book is a good clean read. From the beginning, I found this book difficult to put down it has you on the edge of your seat and leaves you wanting more. I really enjoyed this book and you can't go wrong. I can't wait for the next book I am so ready to find out what the Team encounters next.

This is the fifth installment in Susan May Warren's Montana Rescue series. I feel this is a stand alone book, meaning that the author gives enough background that it's unnecessary to read the other books in the series. I do however recommend reading the other books in the series to get the full impact of the series.
I loved this book!!
This book centers around PEAK Rescue located in Mercy Falls, Montana and it's team members. This is Ty's story.
Ty Remington works as an EMT at PEAK Rescue and has for the past two years since the helicopter crash that injured him and his close friend/mentor, Chet King. Ty, in recent weeks has been considering a change. He just doesn't feel needed or a valuable member of the team. 18 months ago a chance meeting with Brette Arnold had a huge impact on Ty and forgetting this woman was proving hard to do.
Brette Arnold has been riding out the storms of life both up close and at a distance. She is a blogger/photographer with Vortex Storm Chasers. Storms are unpredictable and chaotic, but for Brette, they captivated and enthralled her. She has experienced a storm of her own. 18 months ago after and emergency appendectomy a suspicious lump was found in her breast and her storm started. During the past year chemo had ravaged her body and along the way she lost herself. Now she is looking for something bigger that will help her forget this past year and maybe along the way find hope for the future.
Wow, what incredible characters, right? Now here comes a F-4 tornado barreling through Minnesota and hits the towns of Duck Lake and Nixon. A call comes from Ben King that his father Chet King, a valuable member of PEAK, was missing after a tornado had hit the area he was vacationing. All PEAK members load up and head to Minnesota to start what they do best, search and rescue. The founders of Vortex are from the small towns just hit by the tornado so they head for home. Brette goes to lend a helping hand to her friends.
This story brings forth so many emotions. Brette's story is enough to bring tears to your eyes, but one that is more common that we realize. Cancer of any kind strikes fear in your heart and mind. I think when someone is in the battle it's all about the fight and when you're finished with treatment that no one wants to hope for more, just take it one day at a time. On the other hand when a natural disaster strikes one of the first things you do is hope. One minute I was on the edge of my seat and the next I wanted to give Brette and Ty a hug.
As I stated I loved this story and the series. The engaging characters quickly pulled me into the story. Both Ty and Brette are both strong and deep characters. For me, the plot was fast paced and filled with twits and turns. This was a one setting read for me. Once I picked it up I couldn't up it down until I turned the last page and even then I still found myself thinking about the characters.
This story has elements of suspense, romantic tension, raw/real emotions, hope, trust, faith, fear, and love. I would recommend this book to anyone who love a great book or loves supsense.

I liked seeing the PEAK Rescue team leave the mountains of their usual setting and loved how Susie made this believable—if the problem centers on one team member, the whole team will come help.

Brette is a likable character in this novel. She’s courageous and doesn’t seem to be about to sell out the PEAK team, like she seemed about to do in an earlier Montana Rescue series book. I rooted for her after learning more of her story and seeing her try to be noble.

Ty is one lovable character! He’s all heart. He follows his gut instincts, and he is often misunderstood because of it. But he’s the ideal guy to have on a rescue team because he will not give up. He cares about everyone the same. He can’t see that he’s a hero, but instead he zeroes in on his past dark moment and calls himself a failure. Really, that’s a lie and it’s all about his perspective.

As usual, Susie’s research is impeccable. We learn about mesocyclones and other storm terms. My inner science nerd loved this! The storms made for an adventurous element.

I’m enjoying this series, but a word to the reader: please, read these books in order. You may be a little bit lost if you read them as stand-alones.

Highly recommended!

Storm Front, by Susan May Warren is an action-packed contemporary romance with an underlying inspirational theme and part of the recommended Montana Rescue book series.

Last year, Brette Arnold ran away from her friends, especially Ty Remington, due to her past history and corresponding trust issues, as well as cancer diagnosis. Now, she's dealing with the effects of cancer treatments and currently working as a blogger and photographer for Vortex Storm Chasers, which leads to a destructive tornado in her friend's hometown.

This tornado also leads Ty Remington and the PEAK Rescue team to the same town for search-and-rescue attempts of several townspeople, including students and the team's leader. Ty and Brette are reacquainted and rekindle their attraction, while dealing with serious issues and the tornado destruction.

Brette and Ty are both attracted to each other, yet are dealing with various issues that hinder their relationship. As the story continues, several secondary characters are a major part of the book with interlocking stories moving past Ty and Brette's story and throughout the series.

Since this book is the fifth book in the Montana Rescue series, it's ideal to start with the first book, due to all the overlapping stories and plentiful secondary characters mentioned. I'm looking forward to reading future books in the Montana Rescue series, and I'm particularly interested in reading Wait for Me (expected publication date is November 6, 2018), due to the intense ending of this book.

Storm Front is geared towards those who enjoy reading contemporary Christian novels with a clean romantic storyline intermixed with plenty of drama and intrigue.

Book 5 in Susan May Warren’s Montana Rescue series lives up to the excitement found in every one of its predecessors! From the start of the book, where a tornado roars through Ben King’s country music concert, to the conclusion, this story takes the PEAK team out of Montana to rural Minnesota, on a search for their leader, Chet King, missing since the tornado.
PEAK member, Ty Remington, has felt pretty useless to the team ever since a helicopter crash shattered his knee and nearly claimed the life of his mentor, Chet. When he hears Chet is missing along with a high school track team, he hops aboard the helicopter to do what he can, even though he doesn’t think it’s much.
Brette Arnold has spent the last year battling cancer. Physically, she feels like less than a woman – she lost her hair, her breasts, and so much weight she’s almost skeletal. A journalist, she’s gone from writing stories of hope, to chasing storms – the stronger the better. When an F5 tornado roars through Minnesota, leaving her co-chaser’s brother among the missing, she has no idea that the search will bring in PEAK rescue. Ty Remington had rescued Brette, getting her to the hospital just as her appendix burst, back before cancer took her body from her. She’s positive that his interest from that time will turn to horror when he sees her now. Will Ty prove her right?
As Ty and Brette join the search for the missing high school team and Chet King, can their bruised, battered hearts see the strength they both have together?
I love how Ms. Warren’s series focus on one main couple, and yet, almost every couple’s story is also added to. For instance, Ty and Brette and the focus in Storm Front, but Kacey and Ben, Ian and Sierra, Gage and Ella, Pete and Jess, all have their moments, some more than others. It makes me look forward to the next book in the series with even greater anticipation, because I’m getting back together with old friends. The teaser at the end for Wait for Me, is heart pounding! I can hardly wait until November!!
Suspense readers will be pulled into this story and will love each Romance readers will also enjoy the heart they see in each character. This one gets all the stars from me!

Storm Front is really good. It about a woman that blogs about storms. She in one herself but it has to do with beating her own storm. There mission for the Peak Team to help recuse some students and leading member of the peak team named Chet.

Will they find them. We meet Ty and the crew. It not always the storms that destroyed and leave us less destruction but we go through that with faith at as well. We learn alot about god and his grace throughout this book.

Brette thinks she can do everything herself. She get angry the one and feels like she can not depend on the one person she truly. That one person is god and having faith. She is scared but are we not all scared. We can not have it all without faith or him.

Ty also learns as well. He can not fix everything. He can be there but he need to let Brette come to him. Ty also learns lesson as well

Susan does a wonderful job of showing grace though the book and telling of this story. She had me in tears and hoping for Brette and Ty. Will they make it? Will they survive? Will the students be found?

We see what twisters can do? We also learn about twisters a bit in the story. Will they survive or will they not?

Wow! So many emotions experienced throughout this one. Previous to this story, Ty had usually been the guy in the background, there when people need him but never the focus. That changes in this book, we now get the chance to really get to know him and I have to say I fell in love with him quickly. He is unable to see himself how others see him, he feels like he doesn’t have much to contribute to the PEAK team, but this is so not true. Ty is a helper; he cannot stop himself from helping those around him no matter the cost to himself. His unselfishness, his faith and his wisdom are endearing.

Once again the PEAK team leaves Montana to search for Chet in Minnesota when he goes missing after a tornado hits the area. Once they arrive in town they learn a group of students are missing as well and of course pitch in to help find them. It is here that Brette and Ty are reunited after 18 months apart. Brette is working on a storm chasing team and the team has just arrived in town after realizing that the tornado they have been following is headed straight for a co-workers hometown.

Circumstances in Brette’s life caused her to run away from Ty 18 months ago but now that they are reunited, her fears keep her from allowing Ty back into her life. She is concerned only heartache will follow if she lets down her walls. Ty feels Brette is the perfect match for him and is determined to break down the barrier she has put up; he refuses to give up on her. Both Ty and Brette are fighters; will this work for them or against them? I loved these two and felt they brought out the best in each other. When one struggled the other was there to support them and help them see themselves differently.

The second main storyline is that of Ben and Kacey, who were first featured in book 1 - Wild Montana Skies. Now we get to spend some one on one time with them and find out how they are doing. I don’t want to give away any spoilers so I won’t say much, but their storyline took me through so many emotions. It showed that life isn’t easy and bumps in the road happen, this really gave the story a realistic feeling.

The descriptions made me feel like I was seeing exactly what the characters were seeing. The destruction that the tornado has caused, the dangers encountered while trying to rescue others, all touched me and had me in tears at various points throughout.

I did not like that this books ends with a cliff-hanger, (I was already anticipating the next book because I can’t wait for more of Jess), but now I am anxiously anticipating the next in hopes that my friends are going to be safe. If you haven’t read any of this series yet, I highly recommend starting from the beginning. If you have read any of the previous books, know that this one is just as good as the others. Ms. Warren knows how to create characters you want to get to know and spend time with.

A tornado has destroyed a small Minnesota community and among the missing are not only a group of students but PEAK Rescue team leader Chet King. Ty Remington will stop at nothing to rescue his mentor, not even when the girl he loved--and lost--walks back into his life. But Brette needs his help more than he knows, despite her stubborn determination to push him away. And when he gets a second chance, loving her just might cost him more than he can imagine.

A blogger for Vortex Storm Chasers, Brette Arnold didn't expect her adventures to land her in the same place as Ty, the guy who she walked--no, ran--from over a year ago. She had her reasons--good ones. The kind that tell her that falling for him again would only lead to heartache. But Ty isn't the kind of man to give up--not on the missing students, or on her.

Life and love hang in the balance in Susan May Warren's breathless story of holding on to hope during a deadly summer of storms.

As always, Susan May Warren didn't disappoint. This story focuses on Ty and Brette. Brette disappears from Ty's life and he never found out. Now that they meet up again Ty means to find out. Ty is still struggling with the issues that led up to him crashing the helicopter and left him with busted knees and his mentors injuries. Ty also has to control issues. Brette doesn't want anyone controlling her life. She is doing just fine on her own. All of this is taking place while they are searching for Chet and several teenagers missing from a massive tornado that went through town.

I loved this book and recommend it to everyone. Anxious to read Pete's story next.

I was given this book by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated in any way.

Since I didn't read any other books in this series, I struggled with all the characters and their back stories for several chapters. Once I figured them all out, I enjoyed the book more. I had a hard time relating to Brette as she came across selfish and impulsive. The cliff hanger at the end, however, wasn't my favorite.

Susan May Warren has done another outstanding job in writing Storm Front with such great detail that you do not want to put the book down. Then, once you finish the last chapter, you cannot wait until the next book in the Montana Rescue Series comes out!
I love how Susan shows her love for Jesus and the hope He gives us in all of her stories. The characters in her books are so real that you want to know more and Susan gives us more as she keeps us updated on the characters from her previous books! Storm Front can be read as a stand alone novel but I highly recommend starting from the beginning and falling in love with each character.
Ty Remington and Brette Arnold are the main characters in Storm Front but we also get to read the continuing love story of Ben and Kacey.
Brette cannot stop running from all the things that have caused her much pain. Brette has lost her hope and does not want to bring Ty, the man she is falling in love with, down with her. But, Ty doesn't give up easy, he continues to pursue and rescue her and show her God's love through many storms they face and much suspense. But, is it enough?
I thank NetGalley and the publishers for allowing me to read and give my own opinion of Storm Front.

When I started this series, I assumed that all of the rescues would take place in the mountains of Montana but that has not been the case. In this story, the PEAK team is searching an area after a severe tornado.
Journalist Brette returns to the series as a storm chaser photographer and blogger. Her own brush with death has changed her outlook on life drastically. Her extreme negativity and refusal to believe anything good could ever happen to her was difficult to relate to or enjoy. Thankfully, she encounters Ty again and he challenges her…”Don’t let your circumstances tell you who God is. Let who God is tell you how to deal with your circumstances” (location 1909). Our troubles would look a lot different if we really got this. I’m going to write it down somewhere permanent.
Ty has always been a bit of a mystery, almost too good to be true. It was nice to learn what is behind his intense desire to help others and why he has a hard time believing he can really make a difference. I found myself cheering him on.
The hardest things about this story is the ending. It made me want to read the next book RIGHT NOW. I can’t wait to get back to Jess and Pete’s story and hear what Jess’ last year has been like. Thank you to Revell for providing me with a free e-copy of this book. I was not required to leave a positive review. All opinions are my own.
