I am falling for Falling for You and that is no joke. Willow and Corbin are perfectly matched, not that it's a surprise to Wade fans - her romances are some of my favorites. Their story is charming, clean, has a hint of mystery, and leaves you wanting so much more. I'm glad this is part of a series so we can see these characters again!
I received a complimentary copy of this novel and was not required to write a favorable review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is such a delightful series. Book two was every bit as good as book one. I am not reviewing this book for my blog but we are adding it to the church library. Looking forward to reading book three.
As much as I related to Nora in True To You with her nerdy bookish self and the adoption themes, in a lot of ways I relate more to Willow. I will never be model material and only consider myself beautiful on good days, but Willow struggles with two big things that I have as well: shame from a past relationship, and growing up, the feeling that I had to be the perfect child.
These two themes are threaded throughout Willow motivations and decisions her whole life. She struggles to take risks and have fun, but has a kind compassionate heart. She spends a lot of time arguing with herself and talking herself out of her feelings. Girl, I so get that. At one point Becky puts into words what Willow feels and it's perfect. Willow goes through all the people in her life who never gave her a reason to doubt their love then goes on to say. "God had never given her a reason to doubt His love. Even so, her internal drive to be good...had never relented."
Corbin is determined to draw her out. Since I have my own real life Corbin to draw me out of my safe shell, I understand Willow's love/hate relationship with that aspect. We want to be safe, but also want to venture out...safely. These men God puts in our lives do that; I can't hide under my rock too long. My favorite quote is from Corbin's internal processing, "He needed her to love him And so he was going to make sure that she did." Way to take the initiative, Corbin! But, he also had to learn how to be humble and surrender their future to God. A humbled man is a mighty thing to behold.
And now we get a sneak peak at Britt beginning to soften and Zander being brave enough to step past his self-protective boundaries and get out there. I can't wait for their story!

Sisters Romance Novels. It follows Willow, the oldest of the three Bradford Sisters and Corbin Stewart, her ex-boyfriend, who she still holds a lot of resentment and anger towards. Willow and Corbin find themselves searching for a missing person who disappeared years and years ago. The case along with other occurrences in their lives draws them closer together against the wishes of some and to the delight of others.
I read the first Bradford Sisters book, True to you, almost two years ago as well as the novella that served as a prequel to the series. Despite the long space of time between books the writer does a good job of recalling important events that happened in previous books so the reader does not feel like they need to go read the previous books before reading this. While the beginning of the book and the obvious disdain the characters had for each other led to me not getting into the book for a while, the mystery of the missing person drew me in bit by bit. I was also interested to know what had happened between the two characters that led to their breakup.
Like the previous book in the series the lessons the characters learn lead me to reflect on my own life and my relationship with God, making the characters more relatable. This book was no different. I was reminded that God does not love us because of our worthiness, even when we mess up He still loves us with His perfect, all encompassing love and with that knowledge we should be able to come boldly before Him to ask for forgiveness if/when we mess up, He is faithful to forgive and forget and we should too…forgive ourselves. I was also reminded of the faithfulness of God and how everyday He proves Himself trustworthy and desires for us to trust Him. These profound truths were enough to help me forget the less engrossing start of the book. Parts of the book also focus on Brit, the youngest of the Bradford Sisters, who has to come to terms with her Best Friend leaving for a while, setting us up for the next book in the series.
Thanks to Netgalley and Bethany House Publishers for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
For lack of a better way to keep my ratings consistent, I've decided to focus on three things - 1) Was I invested in the characters? 2) Did I get excited/emotional about the story in any way? 3) When I finished, was I thinking, "wow--what a great read!"
You can probably tell by my star ranking how Wade's book rated, but here's the skinny:
Was I invested in the characters? Absolutely. These two hated each other so much in the beginning, I needed to a) find out what had happened between them in the past and b) see how they overcame such animosity. I couldn't put the book down until I knew. And I'll be honest with you--it wasn't easy for me to get attached to Corbin. He was a smidge too cocky for my personal tastes, but I'll also say this: I honest-to-goodness appreciate how Wade stayed true to his character throughout the book. He didn't fall in love with the heroine and all of a sudden his cockiness went away, as so often happens in romances. This guy was cocky from start to finish and that's how it should be--I mean, after all, isn't a part of falling in love coming to accept someone for who they are and not expecting them to change? That may not be what always happens, but that's what we want to read, right? So... kudos, Becky Wade. I noticed that one minor thing and it stuck out.
P.S.... I eventually grew to like Corbin--every adorably pompous bit of him.
Did I get excited and/or emotional about the story in any way? Heck yes, I did. There were a couple of tense moments in there where I needed to read faster because "no way did he just ask that" or "please tell me she's not going to..." or "for crying out loud, just kiss her already!" Folks--there was a lot of romantic tension in this story and it kept me invested, interested, and intrigued from page one to done.
There's also a nice little mystery subplot going on the background of Corbin & Willow's love story--and just as Wade did in the first book in this series, True to You, you get these neat little snippets at the end of each chapter that either pertain to the romance, the mystery, or how the two overlap. I enjoyed how she skillfully wove the two stories together, without letting the subplot detract from the main story.
And finally, did I end the book thinking it was a great read? Well, I appear to be writing a rave review, but in the interest of full disclosure, I'm a huge Becky Wade fan. So when I started the Bradford Sisters series, I already expected to like it. About 25% of the way into this book, however, any bias I had just went right out the window because it wasn't about enjoying another Becky Wade novel, it was about reading a book that had captured my attention, robbed me of slumber, and dished out a happily ever after I could rally behind. So did I finish this book excited to have finished something enjoyable? Yes. Yes, I did.
But if she could hurry up and serve up Britt & Zander's story (the next in the series), I'd be a much happier gal. Bring it on, Becky Wade! I'm ready.
I received an eARC of this book via Netgalley. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of this review.
While I loved True to You, the first book in A Bradford Sisters Romance, I adored Falling for You by Becky Wade. Willow and Corbin’s romance is not one I’d expected to like. It is a second-chance story about forgiveness, not of the other person but of yourself. It’s a hard pill to swallow but one Wade brings to life in a realistic and heart-aching way.
Willow is the eldest and seemingly perfect Bradford sister. She is home for the season to run her parents’ bed and breakfast while they take a much needed vacation. Willow is a driven, independent person. She has the typical first-born genes running through her and a stubborn streak. I loved her!
Corbin is a former NFL player, currently in rehab for his damaged shoulder. He relocated to Willow’s small town, not for her though it may have crossed his mind 😉 No it was for the stellar physical therapist and his declining father who needed a stable home. Corbin’s character is not what Willow remembers. He is a very different person so when life brings them back together Willow is skeptical to trust the front he shows in her presence.
While this story revolves around Willow and Corbin, it also focuses on Charlotte Dixon’s search for her great-aunt who went missing years earlier. She enlists Corbin and Willow’s help, forcing them to interact. I loved the mystery surround the disappearance and their investigation into it. But I perhaps loved what it revealed about Willow and Corbin. This isn’t a very light read. It deals with some heavy truths that Willow must accept about herself before she can enter into a relationship again.
Overall I loved Falling for You. Becky Wade‘s ability to pull at my heart-strings is a masterful. Willow and Corbin broke my heart and mended it all in one little book. If you enjoy second-chance romance with a Christian theme, I highly recommend it.
Falling for You is the newest novel in the Bradford Sisters series. I absolutely loved this addition.!!
This novel focuses on Willow Bradford, a model, who comes home to run the family inn while her parents are away. During her time at home, a missing persons case reconnects her with her ex-boyfriend and former NFL player, Corbin.
Readers get to walk alongside both of the main characters as they get to know each other again as they have to push aside past heartbreaks and failures. They have to learn to forgive each other and most importantly themselves. Yay for second chances!! As a lover of mystery and suspense, I really enjoyed the missing persons aspect of the book. Charlotte, Corbin's niece, has discovered a family secret and enlists Willow and Corbin's help to solve the mystery of the disappearance of a family member many years ago.
I have been a devoted reader of Becky Wade's books for years and loved My Stubborn Heart and the Porter Family series, but she continues to outdo herself with this series. Fans of the series will be happy to get updates on Nora from book one as well as get to know Britt a little better before her story releases next.
I was given a copy of this novel in exchange for my honest review.
There are several reasons why Becky Wade is one of my favorite authors, and these are demonstrated in this her latest novel, Falling For You.
Becky Wade does not shy away from clearly presenting the gospel in her novels. The transforming power of Christ in her fictional characters is shown. She tackles hard subjects.
The love story is deep and meaningful. The characters know and understand each other.
The playful banter between Willow and Corbin is such a fun aspect of this book. They are people with a depth of character, personality quirks and excellent senses of humor. It is hard NOT to like Corbin in his relentless pursuit of Willow. Fun also comes through in the Pharisee-like theology and judgmental attitude of Willow's Grandmother - her character had me laughing out loud at times.
It is a deeply layered story, plus a mystery, to boot. I can't say enough good about this last book of Becky Wades, and I look forward to her final story to come from this trio of sisters.
I thank NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC for my honest review.
I love the Bradford sisters series! I fell in love Nora and John in the first book and loved Willow from the start.
Willow is taking a much needed break from being a model. Although you wouldn’t know that she is a model. She eats and doesn’t really care about her self image. She is the product of a fling between her dad and mom but her mom isn’t in the picture. She strives to be more than her mom and not like her.
Corbin is a NFL quarterback who injuries himself and it is career ending. He is in Washington to get the right surgery and right therapy that he may be able to possibly play again.
Willow and Corbin know each other in fact they once were dating to the point that Willow thought Corbin wanted more. Together with his niece Charlotte, they sent out to try and solve a decades old missing person case. Willow and Corbin fall back into their playful banter and flirtiness. So much that it cause Willow to buy lots of things from pottery barn. 🙂 I love how Willow is so real and I feel like I could just pull up a chair and have a conversation with her.
Can Willow and Corbin put the pieces together to solve the case for Charlotte? Can they become more? Will Corbin be able to play in the NFL again? Will Willow go back to modeling or will she finally come home and find that it is enough?
I can’t wait for Britt and Zander’s story!
4 out of 5 stars
I absolutely loved True to You and couldn’t wait to read Willow and Corbin’s story in Falling for You! I couldn’t help but get excited by the prospect of a good mystery when Corbin’s niece, Charlotte, asked both him and Willow to help her solve the case of a missing family member. As they’re repeatedly thrown together during the investigation, Corbin and Willow had a lot of emotional baggage to unpack and peace to be made between them. I really appreciated how they were able to work through their past mistakes while building a better, stronger foundation for their relationship. I could really relate to Willow’s struggle with forgiving herself for her past mistakes, and I feel like it’s something that we all struggle with at times. It’s such an important part of our growth as Christians, and I love the way that Becky Wade wove it into such a beautiful love story!
Now I’m eagerly awaiting Britt’s story next in Sweet on You! I received a copy of this book from Bethany House through NetGalley and am under no obligation to post a positive review. All opinions are my own.
This book is a book that you can follow the creation, fall, redemption, and restoration process throughout. Her characters have definitely not "arrived" and as I was reading along there were times until I understood where she was going, that I was trying to figure out where she might be going with their stories. She had a mystery included that begged to be solved. That was a great addition to an otherwise complete story that I think just added another element to her book. With all that, you could say that this author went above and beyond on this one.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
What does one do when her ex-boyfriend’s niece begs her to help solve an old family mystery? Mull it over and then decide if being a sleuth with the man who broke her heart is a good idea. At least, that is the course of action Willow Bradford takes in Becky Wade’s latest release Falling for You, the second novel in the Bradford Sisters Series.
It has been years since Willow and Corbin dated, but the hurt between them still lingers, especially when Corbin, a former NFL quarterback, shows up in Willow’s hometown. When Corbin’s niece approaches Willow, the famous and talented model, with a request, it brings the two face-to-face again. Will they be able to solve the mystery? And can they do so without falling for each other?
Becky Wade’s novels are always wonderful reads, and this one was no exception. I enjoyed the mystery that drove the story, as well as the struggles each of the characters faced. Ms. Wade weaves delightful tales of romance with plenty of conflict, humor, and love. And I adore reading them every time. This story more intimately introduces the reader to the oldest Bradford sister and all of her struggles over the past few years since she first dated Corbin. It also provides the reader a more in-depth look at a character introduced in Her One and Only—a book in Becky Wade’s Porter Family series. I loved every minute of this novel and cannot wait to read about the last sister, Britt, in the next book!
If you love family mysteries, romance, and humor, you’ll love Falling for You. If I had to award a rating for this book, I would give it five out of five stars.
Falling for You was a great, quick read. I loved the story and the characters. I will definitely be looking for more books from this author.
Becky Wade’s storytelling just keeps getting stronger.
In Falling For You, Willow is a character I could identify with. She’s cautious and a rule-follower. She strives for perfection, but knows she’s fallen woefully short. Corbin is everything Willow is not. He’s wild and bold. A man who knows what he wants and is used to getting it. Their story is equal parts sweet and grounded as it plays out.
The theme of forgiveness, trust, and grace is so beautifully woven throughout this story. Willow is so used to striving for perfection, that accepting Jesus’ forgiveness for her mistakes as a Christian is difficult. I could identify with her struggle, and I loved how Becky resolved this. Then Corbin’s struggle of not really knowing if God was present in his life, and seeing how He was there, in all the moments, quietly working, was a great reminder that God does work. He may work slowly (from our point of view) or silently, but He is always, always at work in our lives.
I loved the mystery aspect of this story. Charlotte was a great character, and I definitely want to see more of her in the future.
This story ended with a hint at what was coming next—Britt’s story, which I am beyond excited for! What I love about Becky Wade’s books is that she’s able to bring it all. A great plot, unique characters, sweet romance, and a grounding in spiritual truths.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher. I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine alone.
If you want great contemporary romance fiction, Becky Wade is your author. The second installment in her Bradford Sisters series, Falling for You, is another must-read for fans. With complex characterization, a mystery to solve, and a faith message right on point, this novel checked all the boxes for me. It gets a highly recommended rating.
The two main characters in Falling for You seem to have everything — beauty, wealth, fame — but charmed lives are not always so charming when you dig beneath the surface. Willow struggles with being good enough and the fear of abandonment, even as she knows her parents, sisters, and God love her without condition. Corbin seems to have it all, even following a career-ending injury. But an insecure childhood impacts his adult life. These two beautiful people are really broken (just like all of us) and are in need of a God who specializes in healing and restoration. I liked that Wade showed the reality behind Willow and Corbin’s lives. With the all the glitz and glamor surrounding them, it’s easy to forget that celebrities have struggles and losses just like the rest of us. The two’s romance surely was rocky, mostly due to their own poor choices. But even when Willow is unapproachable and Corbin is being a jerk, I couldn’t help cheering them on. They are just so likable. Wade brings the two back together after years apart with the mystery of a missing person. Corbin’s young cousin, the adorable Charlotte, gets the two cooperating in the investigation and adds her own sparkle to the story. The mystery is a secondary plot line, but I found it extremely intriguing. I loved how Corbin and Willow doggedly searched for the truth and brought about closure for a hurting family. Wade always weaves a realistic faith message throughout her books, and Falling for You is no exception. She deftly handles the subjects of sexual impurity and its consequences on relationships, as well as the task of Christians unlearning old habits and accepting God’s forgiveness as a free gift. There’s also the reminder that God is the one who makes miracles — we just need to be faithful to do our part.
Falling for You can certainly be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading book 1, True to You first. There’s also a novella that goes back to the beginning of the Bradford family story. So you’ve got three books to read — it may help you withstand the waiting until the next book is released in Springn 2019. As for me, I will be impatiently waiting to dive back into the lives of the Bradford sisters.
Highly recommended.
Audience: adults.
This is book 2 (three if you count the prequel) in A Bradford Sisters Romance series. It can be a stand a lone book, you will just miss some history in the Bradford family, but nothing that would keep you from understanding anything in this novel. Yet they are all great so I would recommend reading them all.
Willow Bradford is a beautiful model who is taking care of her families inn. When her ex boyfriend, Corbin, is thrown into her life will she be able to forgive him and maybe herself and find happiness.
I love the sparks between Willow and Corbin. The family dynamics of both of them and all the drama. There is some mystery, romance, history and much more in this book. I always look forward to books by Becky Wade.
"Falling for You" embodies everything difficult about relationships. The desperate longing, but need to hide our less than ideal selves, protect ourselves from being hurt, all of it and then some. Becky Wade does an excellent job writing from the two main characters, Willow and Corbin, points of view. Swtiching back and forth between them gives us just enough behind-the-scenes glimpses at what is really going on in their hearts and minds, but leave us hanging just enough to keep reading late into the night. I love how solving a mystery is intertwined amidst the romance storyline and the characters are written so well, you feel for them, root for them, and share in their frustrations, even though they are a supermodel and star quarterback. They are just so relateable!
Can't wait for the next in the series!
Although the it has a slow start, this book is a wonderful love story--not just a love story between two characters but the love story between characters and the God who created them.
Wade did a great job showing real struggles people encounter after accepting Christ as their savior. Corbin and WIllow were perfectly flawed, and their growth is what made this a great book to me.
Fans of Wade's books will enjoy this novel. It may be my favorite by her so far.

Willow is sooo down to earth, and you know what, I talk to cars while I'm driving too!! Am I gonna see a piece of me in each sister...casue so far I have!
I loved that this story was a mix of romance and mystery. And the mystery just kept me guessing!! I had hope the whole time...and guesses along the way...but with each new clue I had to retry to figure out what had happened.
I received this book from Netgalley for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

This is a compelling and intriguing Christian romance with an interesting mystery to add to the story. I enjoyed reading Corbin and Willow’s story. Both are very “real” characters who have their flaws and have made their mistakes. I absolutely loved Willow, and I’m hoping we get to meet her again in another book in this series. The supporting cast of characters fit their place perfectly in the story.
The theme of this book is forgiveness, faith, redemption, and second chances. Becky Wade has done a fabulous job illustrating all of these aspects throughout the storyline. Following this series about the Bradford sisters is a delight. I’m glad there’s still more to be added the stories of Nora, Britt, and Willow. I’ll be eagerly watching and waiting for the next book.
