I have been a huge fan of Ms. Wade's since her debut book, My Stubborn Heart, first came out several years ago and she has yet to disappoint me, so of course I expected to love this one. Especially since I've been looking forward to Willow's story since finishing book one last year! Even though I had to wait much too long, I am pleased to be on this end of the waiting and happily swooning over Corbin now. ;)

I must say, one thing that I so appreciate about Ms. Wade's stories is how she takes difficult subjects and touches on them realistically yet gently at the same time. Hard things make for harsh choices sometimes, yet there is always threads of hope interweaving through the chapters, so that I continually stay sympathetic to the very real struggles her characters are dealing with. It's those bits of hope that keep me turning pages, just waiting for the moment when it becomes a bright shining light instead of a gentle little glow!

I loved how I connected with Willow's emotions consistently. We are nothing alike, but somehow I could understand her fears and her uncertainties. So many times I wanted to reach in the story and give her a hug, or just simply remind her that she could let go of her control a little bit. But I especially loved how she set her standard high and strove to stick with it, no matter how hard it might be. And it was hard! Yet a glorious reward happened because of her choice and it ended up bringing about a most wonderful scene. I love those reminders of the beauty in hard things!

But it wasn't just Willow that I connected with. It was all three of the Bradford sisters. I was so happy for little glimpses of Nora and John's life now! And Britt...ah, now I really can't wait to find out more of her story. The sisters relationship is definitely a favorite aspect of this series. They make me feel like if I actually met them in real life that they'd be just as wonderful as I'm imagining! One of my very favorite fictional families.

The romance is, of course, just as swoony and delicious as you'd expect from Ms. Wade. Corbin and Willow's chemistry is off the charts! As I said before, Corbin is certainly a keeper, but I do have to admit that he had to grow on me a bit. He was just a little too confident at first. Yet I began to realize what a facade he'd been fostering and, like Willow, it wasn't long until he'd charmed me over to his side. He's awfully irresistible!

All in all, this book seems to have a little bit of everything. Mystery! Romance! And precocious twelve-year-old girls who understand their uncles way better than anyone else. Charlotte was a really sweet addition to the cast of characters and became one of my favorites. Her small nudges certainly help get the ball rolling in the beginning, for which none of us are unhappy! :D

There are many more reasons that I could name in order to try and convince you to give this one a try. But ultimately? All I've really got is that it's by Becky Wade and that should totally be enough to convince you! So what are you waiting for? Go read it.

I have absolutely adored this series by Becky Wade! She transports you to the quaint town with its charming characters and interesting families with ease and allows the reader to get to know the personalities in depth. I was excited for this second sister’s story and was not disappointed with its banter and its romance. It has a few surprises that kept me guessing and overall was a fun and lovely read. I liked the theme of forgiveness and the power of change that can only come from the influence of Christ. I recommend this series!

Falling for You is the second novel in Becky Wade's new series Bradford Sisters Romance, but it is perfectly possible to read this novel on its own. The first novel follows Nora's romance, and this second book focuses on Willow, her older sister. I found this novel to be very enjoyable, with a side mystery that initially forces Corbin and Willow to work together as well as flash backs to Corbin and Willow's past relationship as they begin to work through the issues that initially separated them before. I thought that Willow's changes in heart and what perfection really means as a child of God were critical to the story and important for everyone to understand in their own lives. At the same time, it was neat to see Corbin as a new Christian begin to work through his own sins and flaws and him realizing it was only through God's strength that he could do that. I loved still seeing John and Nora and also getting a taste for Britt's story in the next novel as she also had some sections in this novel where she was the focus. Overall, I love this series, and I cannot wait to read the next installment.

I received this novel from Bethany House through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Falling For You was such a great romance story. While the characters definitely weren't perfect (who is?), I loved the character growth and redemption story. I did think the romance got intense a little too quickly, but because it was a second chance romance story I understood why it happened the way it did.

I loved the characters. I liked how Willow responded to a certain character's wishes and the ending was fantastic. I cannot wait to read the next book, as there was a little hint of the romance for that one and I am anxious to find out how it goes.

All in all, Falling for You was wonderful. I loved the story and the way it was written. I recommend this book to fans of romance.

If you want a sweet story with a bit of adventure than this is a great option! I loved all the characters and would read this again in a heartbeat!

I was kind of disappointed in this book. Maybe it was because I had such high expectations from the last one, True to You. I loved Willow in that book. Corbin was also great in that book, for the little parts he made an appearance. But sadly both just feel a little flat for me in this book. I'm not even sure why, other than maybe their relationship was too angsty. Plus, Corbin is the quintessential stereotype of a jock, and that personality has never done anything for me. I like my leading men to be sweet, not jerks.

I think my biggest issue with the book (and this is probably a spoiler so beware if you keep reading) was when Corbin and Willow got pregnant. He never felt the guilt that she felt, and honestly, the author never gave a good reason why Willow felt guilty. Corbin asks why is was such a big deal (besides the fact he was a jerk about it), but the author never gives a good clear answer about why it's important to wait until marriage for that type of relationship. In fact, she almost had them do it again. It just really bothered me.

Also, the mystery portion of this book was just...weird. I didn't feel it was needed, and I didn't feel like it added anything to the story, besides distract from all the other weirdness.

I am looking forward to Britt and Zanders story, so here's hoping that their story is less angsty and has a better moral to it.

Charlette, Corbin’s niece, a dramatic middle schooler; wants to meet Willow (the famous model Corbin used to date) to tell her of a family secret she just uncovered. She can’t trust family members with this news because they’ve lied to her about this for years. Corbin humbles himself and asks Willow if she’d meet with Charlotte to help her process this news. Willow can’t believe she’s said yes to their meeting; not after their bad break up. But she couldn’t resist Charlotte’s request after all she was a huge fan. She did not want to disappoint.

Willow is a beautiful and smart professional model who’s been crushed by her break up with Corbin. It’s affected her faith and career. He’s a handsome NFL Quarterback and is having a hard time adjusting to his sudden retirement from the game he loved. Corbin was crushed by their break up. This has affected his life and has had him re-evaluate his faith and what he’s living for.

I enjoyed the family secret mystery to be solved, the romance, how the author handled Corbin, and Willow’s crisis of faith, forgiveness with themselves and their relationship. I liked how these characters grew from beginning to end and how the faith issues they faced were organic and not preachy in the book. This is a story of reconciliation and love with lots of fun and mystery to explore, with a few surprises for readers. This is a fun read that would work well for your book club. The author includes discussion questions to help create lively discussion at your book club meeting.

My Thoughts: There was a lot here that I really, truly enjoyed. But sadly there were some things but bugged me more than I expected. I was excited to revisit the Bradford sisters, and I look forward to hearing Britt’s story next. I can’t count the number of times I laughed out loud while reading Willow’s snarky comments and then melting at something charming that Corbin said. Overall, I really liked their story and their relationship. Wade brings a lovely message about forgiveness and the consequences of sin.
However, I struggled when the story hit a lull shortly after the opening chapters. Solving the mystery, which was fantastically written, kept me coming back. There was a plot twist toward the end of the novel that felt forced and, quite frankly, frustrating. But Wade pulled it out in the end and brought something beautiful out of it. I was very glad I stuck with it.

Rating and Recommendation: I’m giving Falling For You 4 stars and recommend it to fans of Christian Contemporary Romance.

This was a good read. It was fast and easy, and I really enjoyed the writing style. I will say I adored some of the banter that I read! There isn’t anything major that really stuck out for me unfortunately, but like I said I had a good time reading and it definitely kept me engaged in the book!

Read more in Falling for You by Becky Wade.

Falling for You is the second full-length novel in Becky Wade's Bradford Sisters Romance Series. It works fine as a stand-alone if you have not read the prequel, Then Came You, and the first novel, True to You.

Falling for You opens with a decades-old mystery and heavy tension between Willow and Corbin. This captivated my attention immediately and I stayed interested throughout the story. The tension, witty banter, and underlying passion was spot on for Willow and Corbin. I enjoyed watching the characters develop and mature, paralleling the development in their complicated relationship.

Between the mystery and the romance, the plot moved steadily, never dragging, constantly drawing me back even though I had to read it over several days. Falling for You felt like a fairly light read, but it had some tense, difficult, and heavy moments. Becky Wade also added in a strong Gospel message as well as promotion of core Christian principles (which I won't name because I don't want to get to close to giving spoilers).

I recommend Falling for You by Becky Wade to all fans of Christian romance. If you like other Becky Wade books, you will probably like this one as well. I'm already excited for the next book!

Famously beautiful model Willow Bradford is taking a temporary break from her hectic schedule to work as the innkeeper at her family's small-town bed-and-breakfast. She was enjoying the peace of her hometown, Merryweather, Washington, right up until she came face-to-face with Corbin Stewart, the man she loves to hate. A thoughtful rule-follower by nature, Willow threw caution to the wind four years ago when she entrusted her heart to Corbin--and suffered the consequences when it all fell apart.

Former NFL quarterback Corbin is forceful, charming, and accustomed to getting what he wants . . . except where Willow Bradford is concerned. Unable to forget her, he's never stopped regretting what happened between them. When their paths unexpectedly cross again, he's determined to make her give him a second chance.

When a decades-old missing persons case finds Corbin and Willow working together, they're forced to confront their past and who they've become--and whether they can risk falling for one another all over again.

This was a sweet, innocent and can be read by anyone romance. I could give this to my mother and she could read it!! Which I loved...because my mother is picky about all books and her one or maybe two complaints are cussing and sexual content. This book had neither and I was so glad for that. It had just a sweet storyline and really no preaching. I found it to be humorous and clean for all ages. So, if that's what you're looking for then this is the book for you!!

Falling for You is the second in a series by Becky Wade.

Synopsis: Willow Bradford is content taking a break from modeling to run her family's inn until she comes face-to-face with NFL quarterback Corbin Stewart, the man who broke her heart--and wants to win her back. When a decades-old missing-persons case brings them together, they're forced to decide whether they can risk falling for one another all over again.

Unlike the first book in the series, this book dealt with characters with professions of which I have no background knowledge: fashion modeling and professional sports. However, the struggles of the characters were believable--many things within the human experience are universal, after all. I actually found myself more engaged in the subplot with Charlotte searching for her great-aunt, who went missing long before she was born. The mystery of that and the investigative process, although possibly meant to get Willow and Corbin back together, was more engaging for me than seeing if the two leads were truly going to work out their differences.

I enjoyed the book, and it was well-written, but like many series I've read it has a bit of "book two" syndrome, perhaps a bridge between the first and third. Nevertheless, I will definitely read book three, because that story will be a really good one based on the hints the author drops within this book.

Recommended for fans of contemporary Christian women's fiction.

Romance with a little mystery mixed in

I first discovered Becky Wade’s writing in her book True to You, which I loved. That’s why I was excited to see Becky’s second book in the Bradford Sisters Romance, Falling for You.

What I found in Falling for You was a return to the town of Merryweather, a place I’d like to visit, with characters I liked from Becky’s earlier book, True to You. In this book Willow, the oldest Bradford sister, takes center stage with her ex-beau Corbin. The rest of the Bradford family and friends, including Nora and Britt, are back but mostly in the background of this story.

I enjoyed the backdrop of the story, as 12-year-old Charlotte enlists of Willow and Corbin to help solve a 40-year-old family mystery of Josephine who went missing back on 1977 and was never heard from again. Would Willow and Corbin be able to set aside their differences to help Charlotte find out what happened to her great aunt? Would they be able to reconcile after a painful and ugly breakup? Had either of them changed over the last four years?

At first, I wasn’t sure if I would be able to relate to Willow a famous supermodel and Corbin a former pro-football player. Their careers and lifestyle were much bigger than life or ordinary people. I found that their emotional pain and coming to terms with their poor choices were something I could relate to.

Becky included the Christian faith, somewhat. I think it could have been more strongly woven in to the characters and storyline. Something I would have appreciated is to have Willow, as a Christian, recognize her past choice to have sex outside of marriage as sin instead of saying it was a mistake. While a mistake may have consequences, calling something sin acknowledges it as wrong before God.

I liked the mystery part of Falling for You best, as well as the reconciliations between characters, forgiveness and seeing how the characters had grown and changed. Overall, I give this book at 3.5 rating. While I liked the storyline, I didn’t connect to the characters as much as I did in True to You.

If you like a romance with some mystery mixed in you may enjoy Falling for You by Becky Wade.

I would like to thank NetGalley and Bethany House Publishers for the opportunity to read Falling for You by Becky Wade in exchange for an honest review. I was under no obligation to give a favorable review.

Becky Wade writes another fantastic book about the Bradford Sisters, this time focusing on supermodel Willow and her former NFL football boyfriend Corbin. Sparks fly as Willow & Corbin are pulled together to solve a mystery with Corbin's niece. Great 2nd book in the Bradford Sisters series!

Don’t let the cover of Becky Wade’s newest release fool you into thinking it’s a fluffy beach romance. While there’s romance in spades, there’s nothing fluffy about it. Falling for You, the second in the Bradford Sisters Romance series, tells Willow’s story. Willow, thirty-one and burned out on her modeling career, has come home to run her parent’s bed and breakfast. The tiny town of Shore Point, WA seems like the perfect haven—until she realizes her epic mistake has moved there, too.

Corbin Stewart, ex-football star, has moved to a tiny town in WA so he can endure months of grueling rehab for his shoulder replacement. He doesn’t realize that his biggest regret lives close by. And he has no idea that Charlotte, his 12-year-old first cousin once removed, will talk him into a meeting with the woman he thought he loved in order to enlist her help in solving an old family mystery.

With Charlotte acting as a unwitting chaperone to the hurt of their past relationship, Corbin and Willow begin a quest to find out what happened to a woman who’s been missing for thirty years. Along the way, they discover that sparks still fly and that if we let him, God will use our mistakes to to help us become more like him.

I liked seeing how the main characters got past their differences to work together and how by being forced to work together, they had to come to some type of agreement.
I would like to slow down sometimes and work like Willow was. It is still work, but it gave her a chance to slow down and regroup. I found it interesting how Corbin found himself with a second chance and how he handled it.
I received a copy of the book from the publisher, the review is my own

How do you deal with stress? Some people eat, some like to exercise. Some set rules in an attempt to control their environment. Jesus told us that we shouldn’t worry, that worry doesn’t accomplish anything. Then he reminded us of how much the Father cares for us. We should be continually casting our burdens on Him. . .

Of all the quirky habits she could have, Willow had an addiction to buying housewares. Whenever stress got the better of her, she visited one of her favorite online stores and shopped. Although this actually makes sense due to her feeling that she needed a place to belong. A home. She also struggled with a need to be perfect and in control.

Corbin was nothing if not determined. When Willow set up ground rules for their living in the same town, he determined to break them all. Which made for some very humorous moments. After he had spent time with her, he knew he needed to channel his determination towards winning her back. His love and care for his father touched me deeply, especially after I learned about the difficulties they had faced in his childhood.

Falling for You shows so much insight into human nature. The things that motivate us, the fears we face, and the difficulties we have in accepting forgiveness. The message of salvation comes through clearly as as other spiritual truths that are so important for us to accept so that we can walk in freedom.

While there are some discussions about temptation and serial murders, the story is quite clean and appropriate for teens as well as adults.

Look at that cover people! The cover is a great feel of how the book reads. Have I mentioned how much I adore Becky Wade's writing? It just pulls you in. I always get a little depressed when I finish one of her books, knowing it'll be a year before I get to read her again. But, perfection apparently takes a year, so I'm willing to wait😍

In Falling for You, Willow and her two sisters make me feel like I'm at home again, being cared for and cared about. I simply adore this family.

Willow and Corbin were well-developed characters with a wide backstory and deep problems, that were intriguing to read about. Their romance was sweet, yet they each had issues with becoming involved with the other.

I also liked Corban's father's issue with Christianity, I don't think I've ever read that scenario in a novel before, but it's something very common in everyday life.

By the way, True to You, the first in this series, was $1 when I wrote this post, so grab that one if you haven't yet read it. Loved, loved, loved Falling for You by Becky Wade, get your copy today!

A mystery, romance, and faith all rolled into one. Becky Wade combined all these themes into a beautifully written novel. I was surprised on how much I enjoyed this novel. I'm not a football fan so I was a little hesitant to review this book since one of the main characters is a football star. Corbin is forced to retire his football career because of an injury, and moved back home. Willow is a model, but back home to help her parents run their bed and breakfast. Charlotte is Corbin's niece and has a huge favor to ask of Willow, and what she doesn't realize is that she is throwing Willow and Corbin back together after years since their bad breakup. Watch as the mystery brings them together, romance reblooms. and faith is tested.
