I love the cover for this book. My first time reading this author and it won’t be my last time. This is a steamy and suspenseful book you wont be able to put down. This book pulled me in and had me on the edge of my seat.

This was one crazy ride I wasn’t ready to end. This pace of this book was perfect and really well written. We get a little bit of BDSM as well as romance in this story. I really enjoyed Jand and Ryder’s story and can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

When it comes to erotic romantic suspense, there isn't an author that does it better than Shelly Bell. Whether it's heart-stopping suspense or panty-melting sex scenes, Shelly can write it all. Her books are well-written. Her characters are lovable. No joke, I seriously wanted her to redeem one of her bad guys Loki-style. But alas, that didn't happen.

Excuse me while I loose my shit for a second, but I fucking loved His to Claim. There, I feel better. I didn't think it was possible for Shelly to top At His Mercy, the first book in her Forbidden Lovers series, but she did. His to Claim was amazing. First of all... Ryder. If you're like me then you probably fell in love with him in the first book like I did. Jane wasn't who I originally wanted him with, but she was perfect for Ryder. The push and pull between them was magical. I loved that Jane dared to push his buttons. From the moment they met the year before, life changed for both of them and they couldn't have been with anyone else.

I love that with Shelly's books nothing feels like an afterthought. The sex is as intricately woven into the story as the suspense. In other words, His to Claim was the perfect mix of sex and suspense. Neither out-weighed the other. Simply amazing.

While I’m not a huge fan of erotica, I did enjoy His To Claim. I found that this book so much more than I anticipated. I love when there is more to a book and I was throughly surprised! The suspense in the book was great! This book grabs your attention from page one! I’ve never read anything by Shelly Bell but now will be look to see what else she has in store.

Ryder McKay is one of the founders of Novateur and one year ago his designs were stolen when he spent the night with a beautful woman that he couldn't locate afterwards. Now at his brother's wedding he spots her and knows that he won't let her get away this time, especially when he discovers that she works for his biggest competitor, McKay Industries.

Jane Cooper does have a secret she is hiding from Ryder but it is not the secret that he believes it to be. What will Ryder do when he discovers what Jane is hiding?

Soon Ryder discovers how badly someone wants his designs and what they are missing. How far will they go to get what they want?

This was a great read that had you gripped from the moment the book started to the end. There were lots of twists and turns to keep you wondering what was going to happen and who was at the bottom of it all.

Ryder was great but I completely understood why he was so mad when his designs were stolen and why he put the blame on Jane. Gradually he and Jane were able to sort things, especially with her own secret. The two had incredible chemistry and managed to have sex whenever they could with Ryder introducing Jane to his lifestyle.

There were so many twists and turns with what was happening with the quest to discover who stole the designs and why. I thought it was so well written and you were suspicious of certain characters and kept waiting to see how everything was going to turn out.

I was sad for Jane with how her mom, Ciara, treated her but holy surprises!!!

The ending was shocking and I am curious to see what happens next!

“You’re letting her go because you’re scared,” Isaac said as if it was obvious. “You and Jane both are. It’s easier for you both to end things now than to live every day knowing that something might take you from one another in the blink of an eye. But when we love someone, we take that risk.”

Ryder McKay was an ordinary child. He is afraid of the dark, lived with his older brother and was raised by his father, Keane McKay, who told him his mother died at childbirth. Until, at age four, he has a nightmare with all the lights on, that will exchange his relationship with his father. Forever

Jane was a rejected and unwanted child. Abandoned by her mother, who after many years does not care to engage in any relationship with her, she was raised without much love for her uncle and aunt. She becomes an intelligent and successful woman. And very grateful to her mentor, the perfect Keane McKay.

When Ryder and Jane knows each other the chemistry between them is explosive. When BDSM comes on the field you ask yourself if the book will stay focused on that alone. And the answer is no. The book also brings elements of police suspense, psychological thriller and parts filled with tenderness. Something that surprised me.

The deeper we dig into the plot, the more new mysteries appears. No one is trustworthy. We have a couple with an absurd chemistry and many traumas that seek a relationship that is much more than just sex.

Sex scenes are descriptive, but not exaggerated. It has BDSM, but nothing too scandalous or scary. The way the author shows out the vulnerabilities and needs of Jane and Ryder turn the storytelling interesting. Shelly Bell changed my concepts and prejudices a bit.

A dramatic turnaround very well built and exciting. With shocking secrets coming to the surface and changing the way we see all the characters. An ending that lacerated and then warms your heart. An intense romance. With love, dangers, mysteries, babies and BDSM. A mixture that does not seem right, but is very well developed by the author and results in an excellent reading.

I am not the biggest fan of secret baby trope. In order for it to work, you have to believe in the connection and the attraction of the characters. You also have to have a reason, that is believable, for me to get over the idea that there is a child out there who the father didn't know about.

Ryder and Jane had a one night stand, she was a virgin, he didn't know it, and the condom broke. That was a lot for me to be willing to get over, especially once you add in the baby part of the story.

So, a year later, there is a surprise meeting between them, and he's a father. which, he takes oddly well. And, supposedly neither of them were able to find the other, even thought they wanted to.

I liked the first of the titles I read by this author, and I wanted to like this one, but I didn't connect with the characters or really believe the story.

I am not able to recommend this title.

Right from the start His To Claim by Shelly Bell was a captivating hit. Romance, sex, raw suspense, I was riveted to my seat. One year ago Ryder McKay had a one night stand with a beautiful bombshell, that he never forgot. His dreams were plagued with this women. And to think his angel unbeknownst to him shows up at his brothers wedding. Thinking she stole his secrets with seducing him, Ryder is more than enraged.

What comes next will shock the both of them.
A hidden danger rocks Jane's life, and the only one who can protect her is tall, dark, and handsome.
''''''''''

Ryder has secrets, and with a past he would rather forget.
He separates himself from the family name, due to a tragedy he witnessed. One he would never forget and forgive. With the illegal activity his father is doing.... he dragging the family name, but Ryder promised himself that he would steer clear from it..... Build himself a better life, but with Jane..... he has to do things that he will later regret.

This book was filled with dirty bits that had my lips curling with glee, a fast paced, action packed love story that will rock your world.

This was my first book by Shelly Bell so I really didn’t know what to expect when I started reading. This book was so hot my Kindle should have caught on fire you guys. She didn’t hold back with those scenes between Ryder and Jane.

This book also had a bit of mystery and suspense along the way. I didn’t know how the book would end was quite nervous about everything would play out in the end. It was great to have an erotica with an actual storyline. I

I couldn’t give it more than three stars because I wanted more interaction between Ryder and Jane. Those steamy scenes were great but they seemed to have sex first and then talk later.

It was an all around good romance and I will pick up the next in this series.

His to Claim - Shelly Bell

This is my first Shelly Bell book but definitely won’t be my last.

A complete surprise, even though the blurb had me captivated, the story was filled with such intrigue and family secrets, interwoven with the taboo, kink and seriously hot sex.

Ryder McKay and Jane Cooper were polar opposites but the saying goes, opposites attract and there was definitely a magnetic force between them.

I look forward to reading more in this series and from this author.

Received in exchange for a honest review.
Ryder was a great character. He was smart, honest and kind. He walked away from his father due to his dad’ s ethics and how he did things in business. He left and started a company that creates automated kitchens. Except he has created a code that learns and adapts. Now everyone wants it and is willing to kill for it.
Jane is the one that got away. She is kind and sassy. When he sees her again he can’ t believe the circumstances. She is going to be his brother’s stepdaughter but she also works for his dad.
Watching her and Ryder with the tension between them but also the anger ryder has towards her is intriguing and like watching a disaster waiting to happen. Why do I say that? Jane believes in Ryder’s father. Ryder believes he is right and is also confused by his brother’s decision to walk away from their agreement to walk away from their dad’s business and go back to it. Not only that he is confused as to why his brother is marrying into a family worse than theirs.

Suddenly we aren’t just looking at stolen technology but murders and family secrets. Jane is in danger, Ryder is not only in danger but so is his company and Ryder’s brother is hiding something.
The plot is fascinating with all the balls in the air. The tension in the air around Ryder and Jane is palpable and when they finally act on it wowza. Only Jane doesn’t quite believe Ryder and it takes a lot for her to change her mind. She also wants a family so she doesn’t want to believe anything even when it comes to her own family. As she gets her eyes opened it hurts her but Ryder is there and it is sweet to see. The story is fascinating and intriguing. From the first page to the last Shelly Bell kept me on my toes. Gripping and intense, the plot of this story is addictive and brilliant. Wow, this was an amazing book to experience, I read it in about five hours straight, I literally could not put it down. Ms Bell's writing is perfection and the story was full of intrigue, suspense, angst, steamy hot sex with a touch of light BDSM.

All the characters are superbly written and were a delight to read and connect to. When Ryder McKay meets Jane one night it is obvious that they have chemistry between them, but spending one night together is all Ryder is looking for. So when he wakes up the next morning finding Jane has already left, along with some very important files off his computer he makes it his mission to find her. A year later unexpectedly he bumps into Jane at his brothers wedding and things get mighty complicated from thereon in.

This is the second book in the Forbidden Series and having read the first one, At His Mercy, I was eager to dive in; I wasn't disappointed. I highly recommended this story and I cannot wait for the next one in this series.

Shelly Bell has done it again!!! She managed to grab my attention from the first page, and suck me in to the book, and has blown my mind!...wow, okay, that sounded a little graphic, but the story is delicious, with the right amount of suspense and hot sex.

The story begins 24 years ago, when Ryder was a child, and witnesses something so horrific, that when he becomes a man, he separates himself from his family. First forward to today, and Ryder is willing to enter into the lion's den, to be a part of his brother's wedding. But little did he know that he would bump into the women who has been haunting him for months, when she disappeared after their night of passion; but the shock is on Ryder, when it appears that she is about to become family.

Now I'm not going to give you any more of the storyline, as I recommend you snap this book right up. I'm so happy that Shelly Bell is back with another delicious story, full of intrigue and desire. As always her writing is fantastic, and the storyline just has enough kink in it to keep it fresh and exciting!

I give His to Claim 5 stars

Shelly Bell combines mystery, suspense and scorching hot romance in His to Claim and delivers another exciting, steamy romance. Ryder and Jane shared an incredible night together a year ago, but Jane vanished the next morning without a trace. Ryder hasn’t been able to forget her, especially considering that he believes she stole some of his work secrets. He’s searched for her but never had any luck, which is why he’s gobsmacked when he discovers her mother is marrying his brother. They’re reunited, but things are a lot more complicated than they were. Ryder and Jane have incredible chemistry and a sweet dynamic, and they make a good team as they work together to find out who targeted Ryder’s work and now Jane’s safety. I didn't find the mystery as interesting as I would have liked to, but it was definitely unpredictable. His to Claim has a lot of sizzling love scenes and makes this very steam romantic suspense.

So good! I loved every minute of it! So hot and sexy but it's also got some suspense to it. I love how this came out and the characters were awesome! I want more!

This book was just okay; fairly predictable. One night stand, girl a virgin, ends with a pregnancy and then the two meet up later. No real surprises with the story, but it was cute and had it's moments.

This is a DNF for me. The book was well-written, but I couldn't connect with any of the characters and I didn't particularly care for me.
