This is Emerald, book two of the Red Hot Love Series, written by Elle Casey. Elle knows how to make you love her characters and wish you could spend some time with them. Emerald is Amber’s sister and this is her story. Sam is Ty’s brother and a songwriter that Red Hot calls in to write them some new music. You will LOVE them and Sadie is a welcome surprise with an amazing talent to call it like she sees it. You will laugh, you will cry, you will ache and cheer for them as they find their way in this brand new world. Can Em help Sam through some of his darkest days? Will they learn to lean on each other? Don’t miss this Red Hot series!!

Esmerald is a plot about a family's acceptance and forgiveness, it's about affectionate, free, and real characters who have secrets and seek acceptance and forgiveness. At the same time we have a tender, sweet and encouraging romance.

Second book in this new series! Three sisters living a communal lifestyle with their single moms actually had fathers who were massive rock stars. The moms were beloved groupies, but they ran away when they all fell pregnant at the same time. When the fathers find out, they want to get to know their daughters and rekindle their relationships with their mothers...Emerald is the second sister to get to know the group, and she's horrified and intrigued by the hot young newest musician to join the band. A shy homebody, the rockstar lifestyle is a real jolt to her system, but she's electrified by the gorgeous, talented, tortured Sam. Great read!

Elle Casey always has me turning the page. Emerald is #2 in the Red Hot Love series. Emerald is the artistic introvert but she also has the courage to go for what she wants. Made me laugh, cry and laugh again. Highly recommend this read

This second book in the Red Hot Love series focuses on Emerald. Out of the three sisters she is the more creative of them but also quite introverted. She doesn’t really like stepping out of her comfort zone and loves her life on the farm in Maine.

When Amber asks Emerald to come and stay with her while Ty is on tour in Japan she is initially reluctant but caves into the pressure from her sister. They really do need some quality time together after the past few months of a new and disruptive family dynamic changed things for them all.

Emerald is still very distrusting of the Red Hot guys and has no interest in meeting with them, let alone talking to them. She thinks Amber is looking at them through bedazzled glasses and can’t see them for who they really are. The men that abandoned their mothers and their daughters.

Emerald’s first time in New York is a bit over whelming and it becomes even more interesting when Sam, Ty’s brother, arrives to stay with them as well. But wait there is more…. When there is a huge issue in Japan, Amber has to leave them to their own devices. This was not the special sister time that Emerald was expecting but she takes it all in her stride.

Sam is a bit of a puzzle that Emerald finds herself wanting to solve. She knows that there are issues that he is working through with his brother but he seems to have the weight of the world on his shoulders. The more time they spend together they realise they have a lot in common. The find themselves sharing their deepest secrets and fears with each other. This really cute friendship between them evolves and something is building between them. It happens slowly and organically but it is definitely there.

‘I’m having a hard time keeping my hands off him. He is so beautiful, and his sadness acts like a magnet drawing me in. I don’t want him to suffer this way. I want him to feel the joy in life again.’

When Sam’s personal life gets incredibly intense, Emerald is the one that is there for him and it really is a beautiful thing. She is very aware that her time with Sam is limited as they have very different lives. He is working with Red Hot and has responsibilites he can’t ignore and she knows that a life living in a city will never be one she could be happy with. The only thing she does know is that she doesn’t want to say goodbye to Sam.

I am really enjoying this series, I love all the quirky things that Emerald says to Sam, like she is 75 years old and not in her 20’s. Right from the beginning these two just clicked and I loved how their connection evolved. Looking forward to seeing what is instore for Rose.

Continuing with the daughters of the Red Hot rock group, we have Emerald, the hippie chick. She thrives on the farm with her animals and hates the city. Sam and Emerald meet at Amber's apartment in NYC, he is Ty's brother. Their romance starts off slow with a lot of whining about the rock stars from Em, she hasn't come to grips that she has a dad but doesn't know which one. Sam has a secret but it's a good one and brings them closer together. I preferred Amber's story but Emerald's was special in her own way. I received a copy through Netgalley.

What happens when 2 lonely souls find each other? Life doesn't make it easy for them to get to know each other. They are one in the same of enjoying their privacy and alone time. But quite a few events happen that keep throwing them together. This was another great book in the unique new series from Elle Casey.

I loved this book. I can really relate to Emeralds personality as it starts out similar to mine. She is afraid of many things and likes life to stay as it is. She is content to continue living in her community and has no desire to move to the city like her sister Amber did. She doesn't understand why her sister continues to live there and it seems like she feels some jealousy and resentment but loves her dearly and accepts Amber's decision after she dwells on it.. Soon Amber begs her to visit her in the city and against Emerald's own feelings she fights her fears and goes. Many things happen to her there. (I don't want to spoil the story for future readers) I admire the changes in Emerald and wish I was strong enough to face the problems and decisions that she had to make. Sam is awesome and I think most women would wish that they could meet a man like him in reality but these type of men seem to live only in our imaginations and in the books we love. If you love a good romance with a lot of personal adventure and growth you need to read this book. I can't put into words all my feels towards the characters presented here and the continuation of the plot from the first book about Amber and her story.

I enjoyed reading this book, but found it a bit of a mixed bag. Initially, I was interested in the premise of the novel, then, while I enjoyed the story, parts of it seemed to dragged, especially in the first half of the book. Additionally, I found Emerald's character a bit off putting and selfish. While the novel is about her growth and change, her views are so rigid that it was a bit of a turn off. I think that had the initial part of the book moved more quickly and Emerald been a bit more open, I would have loved this book.

Fans of the author or genre will enjoy reading this novel. While it is part of a series, this is a stand alone book.

3.5 Stars
Emerald is not happy with her sister Amber for moving to New York to work for the band her father is in. They had an agreement not to let the band into their lives, but that's something Amber seems to have forgotten now that she's in a relationship with the band's new guitar player Ty. Emerald is determined to avoid anything to do with the band. She's able to do just that until Amber forces her to visit New York.

In New York, Emerald meet's Ty's brother Sam and they instantly hit it off. They have a lot in common, and Emerald decides Sam might just make this trip to New York worth it. Things are going perfectly until Sam's secret calls him back to Los Angeles. Emerald has to decide if his secret is too much for her and the short time she's had with Sam is over, or if she can open her heart to new adventures.

I have to admit that I didn't love Amber. I liked it, but her personality really put me off. I was curious as to where the series would continue to go, so I wanted to read Emerald. I was hoping I would enjoy this sister's personality and therefore the book more.

Emerald was easier to digest than Amber. Her personality was quieter, less in your face. I loved that she felt such a deep connection to her upbringing, and wasn't so quickly swayed from that way of life. I did get frustrated with her stubbornness at times, but I understood it. I felt she had a genuine connection with Sam. I enjoyed how their love bloomed.

Sam was a surprise. I don't know what I expected from his character, but it wasn't what I got. He was a really great guy. Sadie proved that. The whole story around Sam and Sadie was sad, but sweet. I really liked it, and I liked how it fit with Sam and Emerald's story. It made me like Emerald even more.

I do have a couple of complaints about Emerald. One was the insta-love. Everything happened within a week or two, and it felt too fast for me. I needed more time for Sam and Emerald's love to grow. I guess I sort of got that with the epilogue, but I needed more. The other thing that bugged me a bit was the father storyline. I don't want to give it away, but I still feel unresolved with it. I'm scared Rose's book won't give me what I want.

Emerald was a fun, fast paced romance. I had some frustrations with it, but overall I enjoyed reading it. It continued to keep me interested in the series storyline, and I am very interested to find out what comes next.

I was so excited to see that Elle Casey had published Emerald, the second installment in the Red Hot Love series. I freaking loved the first book, Amber.

In case you’re new to this series, in Amber, we meet the three sisters, Amber, Emerald, and Rose. Long story short - their mothers kept who their fathers were secret and the underlying storyline of the three book is the truth coming out and each sister’s journey of acceptance all while falling in love. Each sister is very different in personality and I am really enjoying getting to know them all.

But arggghhh!! I didn’t love Emerald’s book as much as I loved Amber. It was slow to get moving forward. At times it felt repetitive and I struggled to connect with Em. That being said, I LOVED Em and Sam.

Sexy and flirty - these two together are red hot and fun. I couldn’t get enough of their unfolding relationship. I liked the complications thrown their way and in the end, I thought it was an engaging and entertaining book.

Emerald might have been slow to start, but I’m psyched I read it. I cannot wait for the last book, Rose. I absolutely recommend checking this series out!

I love Elle Casey! While I’m not really into the hippie dippie commune thing, Ty and Sam have really offset that for me. I’ve enjoyed both these books and I have to say, I think I enjoyed this one more than Amber even. Can’t wait to read Rose’s story!
