A great book by a fantastic author. The writing is excellent and the mystery keeps you turning the pages. Characters are well developed. Highly recommend.

This is the 4th book in the Liv and Di In Dixie Mystery series and continues what is an entertaining cozy mystery series and you definitely want to read the first three. This book picks up right where book 3 ended, and everyone is in Vegas for Liv's Mama's wedding to Earl. One would hope that Liv and Di could stay our of trouble long enough to see her Mama married, but trouble just follows this duo wherever they go.

Liv's cousin Little Junior lives in Vegas and when not performing as an Elvis impersonator drives a cab and dates a cocktail waitress, Crystal. During the wedding rehearsal it quickly becomes apparent that Little Junior has a beef with the minister and when Elvis takes a nose dive during the ceremony the next day, all fingers point to Junior. Can Liv and Di prove his innocence?

I enjoyed the pace of the book and the Little Junior character. This was not my favorite book of the series but it was still a good read.

this book has great characters and a good story line over all. at times i got a little lost but was able to find my way back rather quickly. some parts were somewhat dull but just a few, where as the majority of the story kept me thrilled and interested in the book as a whole.

I found this one ok. It was slightly repetitive in parts and I lost my way a little bit but it wasn’t a bad read.

Liv and Di travel with Liv's husband, inlaws, Mama and Earl, and Di boyfriend Dave to Las Vegas for Mama's wedding to fiancee Earl. The group has fun gambling, trying out the all-you-can-eat buffets, meeting Liv's cousin Little Junior, and wedding last-minute planning for a few days. But when the minister dies during the ceremony, the wedding is postponed, which is bad enough, but then Little Junior is arrested for the minister's murder. Mama asks Liv and Di to investigate and search for the real killer to clear little junior.

This is the first book I've read by Vicki Fee and the first I've read in this series. I very much enjoyed it and did not find I'd missed so much that I couldn't follow the storyline, this is very much self-contained. I liked getting to know Liv and her family and Di (Miss Betty, Liv's mother-in-law, is a delight) and I liked the little touches of humor sprinkled through the investigation. I did think the book dragged a little in some spots with little dialogue and I thought it took too long before the crime took place but those minor quibbles are far outweighed by the positives and I look forward to reading more works by this author in the future.

Liv and Di are great! I just visited Vegas for the first time last year, so loved all the touches and humor that a visit to Vegas brings, with or without murder! The destination wedding lets many of the characters come along and the fast pace of the story leads to a happy ending.

Princess Fuzzypants here: Liv is in Vegas to attend her mama’s nuptials but things conspire to prevent the happy event. After an unexpected and hilarious bachelorette party that turns out to be fun, the unexpected turn nasty. First the Elvis impersonator/minister dies while conducting the service and then Liv’s cousin, another Elvis who has history with the deceased, is arrested for murder.
It is a good thing that whatever happens in Vegas stays in Vegas because there is a lot more going on. The series is peopled with quirky and over the top characters and Las Vegas provides lots of grist for that mill. Yet, somehow, because at its core, it is all about family and loyalty, it works.
This is the kind of book to take on holiday or to the beach where you want something very light and fun. I give four purrs and two paws up.

I fell in love with both Liv and Di in the first three books in the series and this one did disappoint. The group travels to Los Vegas in order to marry Liv's momma to the man of her dreams only of course things cannot go smoothly. The Elvis impersonator minister drops dead during the service and Liv's cousin is arrested for his murder. Following these two as they investigate outside their hometown was a hoot though they still managed to pull it off somehow. This book is just full of quirky characters, laughs, drama, a murder, and so much more. If you are a fan of cozy mysteries then this is must read book/series. I absolutely loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.

I can't get enough of this series. It was such a well put together story. It was quick read that I felt was over too soon!

This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. The story flowed very well and was very enjoyable. This book will keep you reading long into the night and you will not want to put this book down until you finish. This was such a great read and full of surprises. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

Tennessee event planner Liv McKay has descended on Las Vegas with her family and friends to see her mother remarried at an Elvis themed wedding chapel. Liv and her friend Di are event planners in Dixie, Texas, so the series is Liv and Di in Dixie. If that doesn't turn you away, you will probably enjoy this book.
For me, there were too many characters, insufficiently distinguished by their slightly different eccentricities, and too much shopping and eating.
There was also a murder that spoiled a wedding. With health issues and hospital visits plus lots of emotional drama, you will certainly be rooting for the elderly lovebirds to get their wedding in the end. In fact, the complex relationships among the myriad people in the story are probably the best part.
There are recipes and party planning tips at the end of the book, including special tips for how to participate in Elvis Week.

Til Death Do Us Party by Vicki Fee is the fourth book in the Liv and Di in Dixie Mystery series. Liv is on vacation in Las Vegas along with her husband, in-laws, and friend Di and her boyfriend for her mama's wedding. The trip is going well for the most part until the actual wedding when the Elvis minister dies in the middle of the ceremony. Liv's cousin is the prime suspect, and her mama expects Liv and Di to solve the mystery. With problems back in Dixie and drama in Vegas, this book is full of action. The characters are wonderful as always, and the mystery was strong. This is one of my favorite cozy mystery series.

This is the fourth book in the Liv and Di in Dixie cozy mystery series. Liv and Di are party planners in Tennessee, but this story brings them to Las Vegas. Despite not having read previous stories, I had no problems getting to know the characters. In this mystery, Liv and Di are in Las Vegas, for Liv's mother's wedding. The plan was for the couple to be married by an Elvis impersonator, but during the wedding, Elivs keels over! The number one suspect is Liv's cousin, Little Junior. Of course, Liv and Di are on the case to find the real killer. I thought this was an enjoyable read and I look forward to more stories about Liv and Di and the crew in the future! I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion from #Netgalley.

This was the first book I've read in this series and I thoroughly enjoyed it!! It was a fun quick read with lots of laughs along the way. Liv's mama and her fiance have decided that they want to get married by Elvis in Vegas, so everyone packs up and goes. While there, they meet up with family members they haven't seen in awhile. Right when the ceremony is set to start however, Elvis kicks the bucket and one of their own is suspected in his death. Liv puts her detective cap back on and sets out to figure out who the real killer is, all while dealing with her family, her best friend, and her business back home. I now can't wait to read the others in this series!!

A very good book full of humour and fun to read. It was really entertaining and a real page turner.
As there are a lot of explenations it was easy to understand even if it's not the first one in this series and I didn't read the previous instalments.
It's a mix of women's fiction and cozy mystery and the main theme is family relationship and support.
There're some part that are not really relevant to the story but the plot was sound and with no hole.
It strongly recommended if you want a fast fun read.
Many thanks to Netgalley and Kensington Books

Til Death Do Us Party

by Vickie Fee

Til Death Do Us Party is classified as a mystery, but definitely crosses over to the women’s fiction genre also. It is one-third of the way into the book before there is any hint of crime. This is good because, as part of a series, the author Vickie Fee supplies an abundance of background information and develops her characters so that it works well as a standalone. It is unfortunate for the reader who wants to focus on the mystery, however. The book also ends with several more chapters of personal events after the mystery is solved; these chapters are interesting and provide closure on various situations, but again they relegate the role of the mystery to a less than primary status.

Liv is a professional party planner, but also called upon by family and friends to use her investigative skills in times of crisis. In Til Death Do Us Party, Liv, her best friend Di and assorted family and friends accompany her widowed mother to Las Vegas for “Mama’s” wedding. When the wedding officiant collapses, things go downhill for the wedding plans and Liv has to go into high gear.

The author has a fun writing style, engaging the reader with both the Las Vegas setting and the Tennessee background of the character. There is a romantic triangle involving Di, her boyfriend Sheriff Dave Davidson, and her ex-con ex-husband Jimmy. Di’s renewed attraction to Jimmy is not believable, but the outcome is acceptable.

I would like to extend my thanks to netgalley.com and to Kensington Books for giving me the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

Rating: 4/5

Category: Mystery, Women’s Fiction

Notes: 1. #4 in the Liv and Di in Dixie Mystery Series, but works well as a standalone
2. The book concludes with Party Tips and Recipes for a Backyard Luau and
Movie Night under the Stars.

Publication: March 27, 2018—Kensington Books

Memorable Lines:

Landing in Las Vegas was somewhat akin to touching down in Oz. We’d barely left the tarmac before being greeted by the flashing lights and ringing music of the airport slot machines.

Mama, who has a penchant for drama and could have pursued a career on the stage, or as a professional mourner—she can boohoo with the best—wasted no time launching into her performance.

I’ve found if you act like you have a right to be somewhere, most people assume you do.

Oh my, who would have thought there would be so much excitement for a Las Vegas Wedding! I love how almost the whole family ventured together to Vegas for the upcoming nuptials. That would be exactly what I would want. Who wouldn’t want their very own Elvis in their family? Seriously! The story was great and the characters even better. Southerners do know how to do crazy and memorable!
