What a fun mystery, just right for an escape from a tedious day or two. Liv and her husband along with her best friend Di, her boyfriend and her in laws have gathered in Las Vegas to celebrate her Mom and Earl get hitched in a chapel with an 'Elvis' officiating at the ceremony. Fine, until the guy up and dies before the I Do's can be uttered. Bummer, now what? Well, the cops arrest Liv's cousin for murder as there were some hard feelings between the dead man and her cousin. Liv won't stand for that so she and Di set to investigating and trust me, it could only happen in Vegas. Family and friends each add to the final result and all the while Liv juggles problems that crop up back home and how to put on another wedding for her Mom and Earl.......can she pull it off? I won't tell but I will say, you will be spending time with some great people you would love to have for your family and friends. The mystery is solid, the tone is light and the pace just zips along.
Another satisfying entry in a fun cozy series. I sure hope there will be lots more.

A group of Southerners go to Vegas for a wedding. Yes, there is a dead body and a mystery to solve, but the entire wedding and return home was entertaining. You might even shed a tear. A fun series. I look forward to reading the next one.

This is not the first Liv and Dixie book I have read. I enjoy the author, the concept and of course the cover. How could you not be drawn in by the vivid pinks and the wedding chapel feel. I was seeing Elvis before I started reading. Remember, “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas!”

The story was fast paced and kept my interest from the first to the last page. The gang is off to Vegas for Mama & Earl’s Elvis themed wedding. Of course we need a murder, then Liv and Di must get involved. Surprise twist at the end.

The antics are great. I had a lot of laughs. Read it for yourself and laugh out load. This is a standalone novel but feel free to read the others to get a better background of the characters.

Another great book with Liv and Di. This was one of my favorites in this series so far. I knew when I read this book was set in Vegas I knew I was in for a treat. This book has me laughing and the mystery was fast paced and had great Vegas worthy twists and turns. My only dislike is it ended way to fast. I recommend this book to everyone. It would be a great book to take on spring break or when you just want to escape into a fun book.

Another great adventure with Liv and Di! This time, the setting is Vegas and the stakes are higher than ever. Even though it's not set in charming Dixie like the other books in the series (which I prefer), this one still stands out as a fun and engaging cozy.
This is a series where you will need to start at the beginning since there are a lot of characters to get to know. It is well worth it!

This book was a fun read. Great and quirky characters made you chuckle while reading. While the mystery was solved before the end of the book, it didn't take away from the ending.

Great family dynamics and lots of wonderful elements of Elvis in the book. I could actually hear Elvis singing some of the songs as the men who pretended to be Elvis performed various songs.

The author does a good job of keeping the story moving and leaves you with tidbits of clues to hake you think you know how it will end. But you might be surprised! I look forward to more stories by this author...especially with Liv and Di.

I really enjoy this cozy mystery series. Liv McKay’s Family are quite the bunch full of fun and mayhem all with a great mystery included. In the installment the whole gang travels to Vegas. When wedding plans are disrupted Liv and her best friend Di are on the hunt to solve the mystery.

he Dixie Gang is back and in Las Vegas for Liv's Momma and her hunk Earl to get hitched at an Elvis themed venue.

Liv is ready to kick back but it looks as if this will be a working trip as well. When cousin Jr., who lives in Vegas becomes a suspect in the untimely death of the Elvis Minister, who not only left the building but also the land of the living!

And let's not leave on Di whose ex-hubby also shows up in Vegas. Before they can enjoy the Vegas wedding experience, they now must prove Junior is innocent. And how do you do that when half the town is dressed like Elvis?

Another good read in this series. Solid, with smart characters and good down home fun!

When Liv McKay and the clan head to Vegas for Mamma and Earl’s wedding, all bets are off when the Elvis themed minister drops dead before the vows are taken. When the death is declared a murder and Little Junior becomes the prime suspect, Liv and Di do their thing and try to find the true murderer.

This has all the Vegas kitsch in it with buffets, a weddings, an Elvis themed wedding chapel, casinos, ex husbands, and new loves. A fun read with the crew from Dixie in Sin City..

A fun addition to the series. The mystery was interesting and well written, but a little short and hurried (I believe about 50% of the book from dead body to capturing the murderer). It was almost more of a book about Mama's wedding with murder as a side plot. I also felt that it was missing some of the glitz and glamour associated with Vegas. One thing I love about this series is that all of the main characters' relationships are different.

I'm probably going to be the odd person out on this one but I didn't enjoy this latest installment as much as the last book. Moving Liv and Di to Las Vegas and the subsequent hijinks felt forced to me. That's not to say, of course, that I didn't find myself chuckling occasionally. There's enough twists to keep you guessing. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

I have loved this series from the beginning, and Til Death Do Us Party is my favorite. The writing alone pulls me into the page until I forget where I am, but it is the characters that draw me back over and over. Reading one of these books is like sliding into a gathering of friends but this get together is for family wedding! Miss Betty and Daddy Wayne accompany Earl and Mama in addition to Liv, Larry Joe, Di, and David to make Mama’s wedding a real family event. Liv is perfectly comfortable in her role as a small-town event planner, wife of Larry Joe, daughter of a very strong opinionated woman and friend of many. Investigating murders might not be her first choice of sidelines but when people she cares for are involved, she just can’t help herself. Di isn’t as comfortable with some aspects of her life, but she is just as avid as Liv is about belonging and helping out their friends. I would like for her and David to decide what their relationship would be but they have both had some tough stuff in the past and are extremely independent. At the same time, they are too drawn to each other to give up. This time the hurdle that creates strain is a ghost from Di’s past! When Liv’s cousin Little Junior was first introduced, I wasn’t pleased that a physically small guy was called Little even though I am used to the custom. When I discovered that he was an Elvis impersonator, I just waited for the laughs. I should have trusted Vickie Fee. He may be small in stature but he is a big person and I came to love him just as Liv and Mama do. There were plenty of laughs but none at his expense.
It took a while to get to the mystery but I enjoyed every minute of the celebration preceding the investigation as much as I enjoyed the mystery and the delightful wrap-up that followed the reveal. I kept jumping around trying to figure out who the murderer was because several people seemed reasonable. Til Death Do Us Party has left me looking forward to the next book even more than usual.
I was thrilled to receive an ARC of this book and will be sharing my love of it every chance I get.

Liv McKay is on her way to Las Vegas with her mama, her mama's fiancé Earl, husband Larry Joe, his parents, and best friend Di and her boyfriend Dave. They're traveling because her mama wants to get married there by an Elvis impersonator, and since Earl is paying for almost everything, they couldn't say no.

But no sooner do they arrive when Di sees her ex-husband at the hotel where they're staying, and it puts her and Dave on the outs when she starts spending time with Jimmy Souther. Then Liv sees someone she also knows who moved to Las Vegas several years ago - Jana - who wasn't such a nice person but has volunteered to get a nice venue for Liv to have a bachelorette dinner for her mama.

They've also managed to meet up with Liv's cousin Little Junior, who lives in Vegas and is a cab driver and Elvis impersonator. He offers to drive them anywhere they want to go, and when they wind up at the chapel where mama and Earl are getting married, he has a sort-of run-in with the chapel's resident Elvis.

While the dinner isn't exactly what Liv had planned, her mama and mother-in-law both seemed to enjoy it, and so with that behind them they arrive at the chapel for the wedding. But during the middle of the ceremony, 'Elvis' drops dead, and the wedding is off. But when it's found out that he was murdered, the only suspect is Little Junior and he's arrested.

While Dave, a sheriff back in Tennessee, is using what connections he has to keep abreast of the case, mama begs Liv and Di to find the real killer, since they know it just couldn't be Little Junior. But while they're subtly investigating, his daddy Junior hightails it from Phoenix to be near his son, and it causes health problems for him.

Not to mention that now Di and Dave are on the outs because of Jimmy, and Di won't talk about it or have anything to do with Dave. This is not the wedding/vacation that Liv planned for, but it's the one she's got, and if she doesn't figure things out, not only will her mama not be married, she may be visiting her cousin in a Nevada prison doing his own jailhouse rock...

First off, let me state that I live in Las Vegas and as such was really looking forward to reading this book. I will also say that while I was preparing myself for a little fantasy - since a lot of authors take way too much liberty with our lovely town - I was pleasantly surprised (aside from the fact that there are no 'early bird specials' at buffets - it's a set price; those specials are at the cafés and restaurants, but no big deal). This was nice to see and made me enjoy the book more.

Liv and Di are again involved in a murder, and this one hits close to home again when Liv's cousin, who wouldn't hurt a fly and is nice as can be, is accused of the crime. (Even I will say the evidence was flimsy, and he probably would have been let out on bail because of it, but it makes for a nice story anyway).

It doesn't help that back home Liv's assistant Holly is having trouble with a fiftieth class reunion group that also includes a group of Elvis and Priscilla lookalikes for a contest, and things don't look good, then they do, then they don't...well, you get the picture.

What ensues is poor Liv completely out of her element in Las Vegas trying to stay under the radar of the LVMPD (which she doesn't completely succeed in doing but is lucky that Dave is there to help her out) questioning people who don't take kindly to her intrusion, and hope she can figure things out before she has to catch a plane back home.

It's a delightful ride into the vision most people have of our town, and is more fun than the roller coaster at New York-New York hotel. Liv manages to do what she does best, which is putting everything together before it all falls apart - which is also why she's so good at her job.

This is the fourth book in the series but can be read as a stand alone. We are given enough information to garner the background of everyone involved, and an engaging group of people they are; from her laid-back husband Larry Joe (who manages to have a small adventure of his own) to her stubborn friend Di, to her determined Mama. These are people who are genuinely fond of each other and accept each others' quirks without judgment.

In the end, the plot was written well and when the murderer was found out it was a bit of a surprise but believable. A truly fun read that is well worth the time to do so. Highly recommended and I look forward to the next in the series.

Vegas was a fun change of venue for an Elvis themed wedding for Earl and her Liz McKay's mom. There are always laugh out load moments with Vickie Fee's delightful cast of characters, and 'Til Death Do Us Party' is no exception. The mystery was well executed, and kept me guessing until I was surprised at the ending. This was a heartwarming and delightful addition to this wonderful series.

Hilarious! From the warm characters to the fun plots, this series always brings an enjoyable read. This one has the gang in Las Vegas for Mama's Elvis themed wedding as she prepares to wed her hunka hunka burnin' love, Earl but everyone is All Shook Up when the Elvis impersonator minister drops dead in the middle of the ceremony. The puzzling plot and many laugh out loud moments (like the Bachelorette party!) made this a very entertaining read. And poor Hard Headed Di, I really felt for her wanting to believe the best in that Hound Dog, but I couldn't understand why Liv kind of left her hanging, there were several times in the book where she just let things drop with Di. Don't be cruel, Liv! I'm not sure how Liv came up with the motive, which was kind of out in left field, but it made for a great surprise twist ending and the sweet wedding and welcome home party were heartwarming and left me with a smile on my face. (and I'm out of Elvis song titles to add!)

Liv and Di in Vegas!!!!! What is not to love about that! This series has me clutching my stomach laughing from beginning to end while still being a spectacular whodunit. With the family in Vegas for Mama and Earl's wedding, the Elvis impersonating minister murdered, and the gang on the loose on the Strip, this is just a book everyone has to read! This series is quickly becoming one of my top ten!

Review:

I love the all of the characters in this book. They are well rounded, well developed and three dimensional. I just think that Liv are Di are the best friends and I love reading about their conversations and the things that they do. They never met a mystery that they did not want to solve, and with this one being more personal, they are ready to go all in. I liked getting to spend more time with Liv’s family and seeing what was happening in their lives.

I really liked the setting of Las Vegas for this book. Having visited there myself, I knew exactly the places that were mentioned and I enjoyed that a lot. It is great when a reader can relate to the setting, it just makes the book more personal. And the Elvis impersonator aspect brought a lot of laughs.

The writing style flows smoothly and the book is an easy fun read. It allowed me to see the action and locations through the eyes of the characters, which made me more engaged in my reading. The mystery was well plotted and had enough suspects to consider and clues to sift through. I was not fully convinced of the culprit until it was revealed.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a well crafted cozy. If you like reading a cozy where the characters feel like friends, and one that has a lot of humor, this is the book for you.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book provided by the publisher, Kensington Books, and NetGalley, which I greatly appreciate.

Til Death Do Us Party is the fourth installment in the A Liv and Di in Dixie Mystery series featuring party planner Liv McKay and her best friend Di Souther. Liv, her husband Larry Joe, her in-laws Miss Betty and Daddy Wayne, and Di and on again boyfriend Sheriff Dave Davidson are all in Vegas for the wedding of Liv's Mama Virginia to Earl. With Earl recently cleared of a murder charge and Virigina abandoning her over the top wedding plans at Earl's farm, Liv is actually looking forward to the Elvis themed wedding.

Liv's cousin Little Junior lives in Vegas and when not performing as an Elvis impersonator drives a cab and dates a cocktail waitress, Crystal. During the wedding rehearsal it quickly becomes apparent that Little Junior has a beef with the minister and when Elvis takes a nose dive during the ceremony the next day, all fingers point to Junior.

Determined to clear her cousin's name, Liv sets out to track down a killer and hi jinks and hilarity ensue. Between investigating the murder, dealing with Di and a man from her past and trying to keep a handle on the class reunion her company Liv 4 Fun is hosting back home in Dixie, Liv soon understands why Vegas has the nickname "the city that never sleeps".

A laugh out loud addition to a series that just keeps getting better.

I received an advanced copy of Til Death Do Us Party from NetGalley via Kensington Books. While not required to write a review I am more than happy to offer my honest opinion.

Til Death Do Us Party is the fourth book in Vickie Fee’s Liv and Di in Dixie Mystery series. The storyline is well plotted and the characters well developed. The story moved smoothly at a steady pace. This book has quirky characters, laugh out loud moments, and an intriguing mystery. The mystery had enough clues and red herrings to keep me guessing. I’m looking forward to reading more books in this series.

Liv McKay is the owner of a successful party planning business, Liv 4 Fun, in Dixie, Tennessee. Even though Liv McKay and her invaluable assistant, Holly, planned an elaborate wedding for Liv’s mother, Virginia, and her fiancé, Earl, Virginia changed her mind and decided to be married in Las Vegas. Liv and her husband, Larry Joe, Virginia and Earl, her in-laws, Betty and Daddy Wayne McKay, best friend, Di Souther, and Di’s love interest, Sheriff Dave Davidson, travel to Las Vegas. Liv’s first cousin, Little Junior, who lives there, is an Elvis tribute artist who drives a taxi to supplement his income, and offers to drive the wedding party all around town. Di runs into her ex-husband, Jimmy, and Dave turns into a green-eyed monster when he sees her spending time with him. Meanwhile, back in Dixie, Holly is dealing with major last minute problems with a fiftieth class reunion they planned. While visiting the wedding venue, Little Junior gets into a scuffle with Steve Warrick, the Elvis tribute artist/minister who will perform the wedding at the Burning Love Chapel. Steve drops dead before their vows are completed. His death is determined to be murder by poisoning and Little Junior is arrested. Virginia is beside herself and demands that Liv and Di work their investigative magic to find the killer and clear Little Junior’s name.

I received an Advance Reader Copy of this book from NetGalley and voluntarily reviewed it.

I received a free copy of Til Death Do Us Party by Vickie Fee in exchange for an honest review. This book begins with the arrival of Liv McKay in Las Vegas, Nevada as part of her mother’s wedding party. When the wedding is tragically interrupted by the death of the Elvis-impersonating minister, everyone is “All Shook Up.” The situation further deteriorates when law enforcement arrests Liv’s cousin for the murder. Believing her cousin to be innocent and fearing officers would fail to examine any other suspects, Liv and the rest of the wedding party investigate the homicide.

Though the book references a prior investigation, you do not need to have read any of the previous books to enjoy this novel. I enjoyed the book without having read the rest of the series. This is probably because the author takes the time to introduce the characters and give them all their own quirky personalities before the murder. The novel also continues after the solve, which is wonderful since it reinforces the impression that the murder mystery is incidental to the lives of the characters and not the only part worth telling.
