The message of this book interested me, particularly in my job as a primary school teacher who teaches R.E. The story is clear and well-written and explains simply the parable of the mustard tree. The pictures enrich the experience for the children and I particularly like the notes at the end of the book, explaining the parable in more detail and also offering possible questions to guide children's thinking. I would like to have seen 'a parable' added onto the front cover to make it more obvious, alongside the title of the book.

Such a wonderful story and adaption -- it has beautiful pictures and is well written. So many reason to like this book. Personally, I find it a nice addition to youth Bible lessons. Looking at stories or explaining things in different ways, such as an interesting story like this one, is very helpful and keeps kids attention while teaching.

Beautifully illustrated book that brings one of Jesus' parables closer to children and adults alike.

The Marvelous Mustard Seed by Amy-Jill Levine; and Sandy Eisenberg Sasso is a wonderful book about the mighty mustard seed. It contains colorful pictures that children will enjoy. I read this book to my students prior to a discussion of God's mighty hand and His protection. My students enjoyed the story.
The story takes the reader through the process of growing a mustard seed from planting it, then the roots, then growing, then it finally being a tree that provides shade for everyone to enjoy. The story talks about the importance of the mustard seed. This book tells the parable of the mustard seed and each stage of its growth until it becomes a huge tree providing seeds for medicines and food.
I received an ARC from Flyaway Books via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I give this book 5/5 stars. I plan to add this book to my classroom/ school library.
