Teacher Jane has a class of children who want to see her in love and married off.

Along comes Zach, a bad boy from her past, who she helped out once years ago.

Add to that the mystery man who has been sending her charms for her bracelet every valentines day. To Jane he is the perfect man who understands her fully, but will she also give Zach a chance?

There are so many emotions packed into this story that it was difficult to single out one that stood out amongst the rest. From the onset you just knew Zach and Jane would eventually find their HEA, but getting there was what pulled the at my heartstrings.

For Zach as a boy was overlooked and misunderstood, as a man the little boy stayed deeply embedded. For Jane, for all her calm and reassuring manner she still undervalued herself, yet she was holding out for the man who she held to near impossible esteem.

When Zach comes back into Jane's life years after one life altering encounter that shaped each towards their future, that's when their chemistry comes alive. There is never one moment during the entire story that either one of the couple did not in one way or another create unexpected emotions. The author brought so much believability to Zach and Jane that you couldn't help but cherish them individually and as a couple.

Valentine Charms by Anne McAllister

Heartwarming, wonderfully sweet romance with a happily ever after ending that swept me up in the story and charmed my soul…

Jane Kitto teaches second grade at the Catholic school she once attended. When Zack Stoner sweeps back into her life to do a story on the school they are both alumni of she is a bit taken aback. When she was seven he was the bad boy she was warned against but even then she found him…intriguing. Zack had a rough childhood and acted out but did make good by going to college and becoming a successful football player. Now retired he wants to help the school that he feels helped him move in the right direction. The two will need to work together to make the TV segment all that it can be but working together will also require them to spend time in close proximity and give them a chance, as adults, to get to know one another better and perhaps find a future together. And, that is just what Jane’s students are intent on helping happen for the teacher they love.

This is a delightful book. It has a secret admirer sending charms to Jane for years. It tells the backstories of both main characters. It captured me and made me feel part of the story and left me with a warmth and happiness not many books achieve. It may be simple in some ways but oh so very complex in others. And, it made me wonder if perhaps there are choices we have made as children or youth that have impacted someone as greatly as Jane impacted Zack one school day.

Thank you to NetGalley and Tule Publishing – This is my honest review.

I received a NG review copy.

I LOVED this story. It features Zack, who used to be be poor and the bad boy and Jane, the good girl who is now a teacher at their former school. They have a long history and now are thrown together for a project together.

This story features blasts from their pasts and while Zack was not super nice to Jane, she was a young child and he really looked up to Jane. I loved seeing them become friends as adults and fall for the other. This was a great story with great characters and a wonderful storyline.

It is definitely a feel good romance.

Loved this story of opposites attract. Along with a class of second graders, they believe their teacher needs to find her HEA. Jane and Zack have a history, so it's back from catholic grade school. Jane has always been the goody two shoes and still does, where Zack, ex NFL football player was known as the bad boy. Zack has now returned to run a story on his former school where Jane is teaching. Zack knows what he wants but can can he convince Jane of the same.

Loved these characters. It was so much fun to find out more of the charmed bracelet that Jane wears all of the time from a secret admirer.I highly recommend this story.

I truly loved this book! It's perfect for the Valentine season as a rambunctious class of determined second graders work to find their teacher the perfect man. The story is very well written and I thought Jane and Zack worked so well together. This is a nicely paced quick read that I think everyone will enjoy. I highly recommend it.

I loved this sweet Valentine's Day story about love and happily ever afters! There is nothing more romantic than finding a seed chance love, at Valentines Day!

Jane and Zack have knows each other since grade school. She was the goose two shoes and he was all trouble. She grew up to be a teacher at their old Catholic school and he went on to play in the NFL.. Now retired, he is back in the old neighborhood, working on a news story about the school. Zach strong arms Jane into helping him. In reality, he just wants to spend time with her.

I loved this sweet story. It gave me all the romantic feels at Valentine's Day!!

Jane was always scared of Zack when they were kids he was such a bad boy and she had been warned to keep away from him. But one fateful day a very angry Sister at the Catholic school they attended had shoved him in the seat next to her,she had seen he was next to tears and she felt compassion for him,now they are adults and we can cut that to she felt passion for him.
This was a short, sweet, very enjoyable read I’m glad I didn’t miss.

Valentine Charms by Anne McAllister is a contemporary romance read that longtime fans of Anne may be slightly familiar with. The story is based on Anne’s Simple Charms but has been rewritten and now being republished adding much more detail to Jane and Zack’s story although the basics are still the same as the earlier version.

The story revolves around Jane who is a second grade teacher now at the same school she had attended herself as a child. Back when Jane was in school she was very timid and shy and distinctly remembers Zack who was older and very much the trouble maker of the school.

Now Zack is a famous football player gone into media work and has returned to run a story on his former school. Of course Jane is the one along with her class that is called upon to work with Zack which brings the two together after all these years.

While the book is now longer than the original it is still a fairly short and quick read but I think it held just the right amount of detail to the story. One might consider this one a bit of a case of opposites attracting with Jane and Zack but with their shared history they just seemed to fit together. And on top of that the addition of the second grade class of cupids made for a very heartwarming tale.

I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.

Valentine Charms by Anne McAllister is a cute story of a group of students playing matchmaker for their greatly loved teacher. The book could also be title, The Saint and the Sinner since this is how Zack thought of the two of them. Jane Kitto is a loving person and teacher so it is easy to see how Zack would come to some of his conclusions. But isn’t life wonderful, when it all falls into place when we wait for it.

A quick read novella in length this story but it puts one in spirit of Valentine’s cupid mood. I really enjoyed the mystery of charms that arrived every year for the bracelet from her grandmother. It was charming, not stalker-like al all. A heartwarming, feel good story.

This is a great story, extremely well written, just utterly lovely, and a delightful read. A reformed bad boy hero, a shy, sometimes prissy, heroine and a “I’ve-loved-you-for-years” plot.
Zack is a fascinating character, a successful sportsman who overcame adversity and a tortured past; Jane is endearing, with an old-time touch that is central to her character.
I found Zach’s hidden intervention (at the end of the story) a bit far-fetched, but I still loved this story and how deeply the characters and the setting (San Francisco) were ingrained in my mind.

A quick read, heavy on the sweetness, light on the sexy. Jane was the good catholic girl all grown up, and Zack was the bad boy, ex-NFL player who used to torment her as a child. A sweet, Valentine's read. I enjoyed their banter, especially when Jane the the gumption to exert her snarky side.

A sweet fast paced novella. Valentine Charms by Anne McAllister. I got caught up in the storyline from the first page and couldn't put the book down until I finished. I enjoyed the storyline between Jane, her students and Zack. This book had me smiling the whole time reading it and it was a possible tearjerker.
