I really like reading Dee Davis romance books! Fade To Gray is a romantic suspense thriller. It has all the elements of mystery and plot twists that'll keep you wanting to know what happens next. I've read her A-Tac series and I absolutely loved all the books in that series. This is the first book in the Triad series. Dee Davis does not disappoint.

I have never read any books from the author but I will now. Fade To Glory is a Romantic Thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Everyone in this book could be guilty and when you think you know who it is there is another twist. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

I always enjoy Dee Davis books, and this is no exception. Fade to Gray is an enjoyable mystery, although it's relatively easy to figure out the "bad guys" in this book. It's a perfect Saturday afternoon story to ready while out at the soccer game or on the road, or even curled up on the couch. The scenes are memorable so when you need to look away, you can easily pick it up and resume without back-reading to remind yourself what had happened.

So when I learned that Dee Davis was releasing a new romantic suspense series I knew I had to jump on the chance to read it, being that I was such a huge fan of her previous series (A-Tac). I can say with all honesty that I enjoyed this new series and am looking forward to the coming stories as well, though there were definitely moments I felt like I wanted to slap the characters around a bit for being so stupid. It is always a safe bet that there will be layers and layers of intrigue in any Davis novel, being that she very rarely goes for the obvious villain, but I only guessed the villain in this story a chapter or so before the big reveal, which for me is a big accomplishment because I am usually pretty good at figuring out who’s who within the first few chapters. I enjoyed the overall premise of the new series as well as the first story itself, but there was so much pain and so many lies for Gideon and Emily to work through I felt sure one or both of them would throw in the towel long before they found a way back to each other. Ms. Davis has a truly amazing ability to make her characters not only jump off the page but to be totally believable to you, easily allowing you to spot some piece of that character in your own best friends, lovers, or parents, bringing you that much closer to the story. Emily was one of those characters that you wanted to hate, but at the same time you could understand that her upbringing left her so sheltered she refuses to doubt the most important man in her life could ever be anything less than fully truthful with her. When she is forced to come to the understanding that her father is as human as the rest of us, and therefore flawed, she quickly grows up and finds a way to uncover the spine that was always inside her and hardened to steel in order to demand her due in life. Once that woman emerged and we got to see her going for what and who she wanted in her life, I truly came to respect her as a woman. Gideon on the other hand refuses to understand that a woman grows up, loving her father first, and coming to the understanding, even late in life that he isn’t perfect, comes as a shock and he needs to be understanding about it. Gideon had his own growing up and standing up to due in order to be the man that earned Emily’s renewed love and commitment. The love between them was so bright and flared so quickly, that neither of them truly believed in one another enough to overcome the odds when they were faced with seemingly insurmountable ones. I enjoyed seeing Gideon’s friends coming to his aid, emotionally and physically, as he and Emily fought to overcome the plot to first claim her innocence and ultimately claim her life. I am dying to know when the next book will be out and which one of the boys we will get to watch fall in love next. I also loved the little peeks into that previous series I mentioned with the return of Harrison to help the guys in their mission to save Emily, because OMG he’s my favorite! Please hurry and release the next story Ms. Davis, before I die of suspense.

Fade to Grey is an enjoyable romantic thriller, when Emily wakes up in a strange room covered in blood and next to a dead U.S senator she phones the only person she feels that can help her. 10 years previously Emily and Gideon were totally in love but Emily believed Gideon had betrayed her and her Father, and Gideon was devastated that Emily didn't believe he was innocent of charges that ended him being sent to jail.
Gideon answers her call for help and both come to realise they still have very strong feelings for each other.
So begins a story of murder, intrigue, betrayal and passion. It wasn't too hard to figure out who was responsible for all the shenanigans but that did not spoil what was a really entertaining read.
My thanks to net galley and publisher for opportunity to review this book.

I love Dee Davis’s time traveling historical romances so I thought I’d give her romantic suspense a try. I’m so glad I did!

Fade to Gray is the first in her new Triad series and is a second chance story—my personal favorite. Gideon Sloan is a swoon worthy hero who despite knowing he should keep his distance from the heroine does the right thing and helps when she asks. He’s also smart, and not some alpha jerk who pushes the heroine, Emily, around. There were moments where he stood his ground, as he should have, but he never crossed that line and thank goodness because poor Emily had enough of those in her life already.

As for Emily, boy did Dee Davis take her on a roller coaster of a ride. I think if that had been me waking up next to a dead body, I’d be too freaked out to ever leave home again. But not our girl Emily. She’s determined to meet her commitments, and to live a normal life, even if it kills her, which it almost does.

There were a few times I wanted to slap some sense into Emily, but then I thought with everything going on, she’s just not thinking clearly. And really, could I blame her? (See above comment about me never leaving home again…so no.)

The romance believe the two main characters was believable and the chemistry clearly on the page. The plot was full of twists and turns and just when I thought I’d figured out who the bad guy was, she’d throw another twist in there and I’d be in doubt again. Love when that happens. The secondary characters were great: hated some, loved some, but all played an integral point to the plot. Dee Davis also did a great job balancing the story between the romance plot and the suspense plot and weaving the two together.

I was hooked from page one to the very end and am looking forward to the next book in the series!

This is my first book for this author and now I can't see why i haven't picked them up before. Outstanding story. Twists and turns and out of the blue ending. Love it.

This is the second book I have read Dee Davis. Dee Davis has the ability to create sexual tension and keep the suspense and mystery the man focus. Readers of mystery will keep the killer coming but with this story its the adventure and less about who the killer is but how they figure it out.

Faded To Gray kept me up all night with a desire to how everything would end which I wasn't surprised but I did find I enjoyed the ride.

The blend of romance and suspense is perfectly blended to create a story that readers will fall in love with.

Thank you to Netgalley and Pocito Press for the copy of Dee Davis Faded to Gray

Emily Masterson wakes up to her worst nightmare. She is in bed covered in blood next to a dead man. The dead man is a US Senator and Emily has no memory of how she got there. She calls on Gideon Sloan, a man she hasn’t seen in 10 years.

This book catches your interest from the beginning. It is the first book in the Triad series. This book has it all, mystery, suspense, a dysfunctional family, political intrigue, romance and betrayal. Thank you to net galley for a copy of this book.
