I’ve read many of Peterson’s books, but this one felt different. Or rather made me feel different. I appreciated the difficulties Judith dealt with in learning of her history, and the juxtaposition of one character falling in love at first sight while the other is slow to realization. And I didn’t feel like I was being constantly bashed over the head with the Christianity of it all, which is how I felt reading some of Peterson’s early books.
I can’t wait to read the next in the series!
I loved getting to hear Judith’s Story and then seeing her find the information she had been searching for. I don’t want to give away anything about her story or how it plays out. It was a good book! I can’t wait for the next book! Enjoy!

In Dreams Forgotten is the second book in the Golden Gate Secrets by Tracie Peterson, and tells the story of Judith Gladstone. It could be read as a stand alone novel, but the character development would suggest reading book one. The series devotes one book to each of the three girls. Judith comes to San Francisco to discover her possible lost family by tracking down her last known relative and is aided by a lawyer, Caleb Coulter. An unexpected discovery turns her life upside down and challenges her way of life and her values. Will Judith find happiness? Will Caleb realize that Judith is in love with him? Will their relationship withstand this new set of challenges? Peterson has once again intrically weaved romance and mystery along side historical events like San Francisco' s earthquakes into a bingable tale. I liked this book even better than the first.
