"It’s the early hours of the morning and Rose Denton wakes up behind the steering wheel of her car. She’s off the road, through a hedge and in a field.
There’s blood on the windscreen and bonnet – but it’s not hers and there’s no sign of anything or anyone she might have hit. The last thing she remembers is being in a hotel on a business trip but now she’s miles away"
This is a gripping mystery psychological thriller and one that try as you might, it is almost impossible to work out what is going on, who is telling the truth, who is a friend and who is a foe. A book that kept me reading late into the night as I was so immersed in Rose's struggle to piece together THAT NIGHT. Definitely recommend this book to all thriller lovers.
What an amazing thriller this had so many twists and turns I felt like I was on a rollercoaster and I love a good plot twist fantastic
Gripping and suspenseful! A very well-written book with wonderfully-interesting characters. The tension builds at just the right pace as the story unfolds. Will keep you swiping the pages furiously. Worthy of your TBR list.

This was a brilliant read. As soon as I started reading this book I just knew I was going to love it. Highly recommended
In the early hours of Tuesday morning Rose Denton wakes up in her car. Her car is in the middle of a field with a car covered in blood. Rose has no idea how she got there. Her marriage is falling apart and she is constantly arguing with her teenage daughter Olivia. She arrives home to discover that Olivia’s boyfriend Tyler whom she doesn’t like as she believes he is not good enough for Olivia is missing. Has she killed him? Was it his blood on the car? This book is a good read and I enjoyed it. Some bits were easy to figure out and others kept me guessing until the end. It’s definitely worth reading. Hope you enjoy it too
I really liked this author and this book did not disappoint, it was an appropriately paced, page turner that will have me hooked throughout the story.

Great thrilling novel which kept me turning the pages, would highly recommend to others. Brilliant writing, plot and characters.
This book!! Oh my goodness!! From the first page to the last, I was hooked!! I've seen other reviewers describe the main character, Rose, as being self centered and I kinda agree with that, but it wasn't to the point where it was distracting or made her unrelateble (for me at least). The story constantly kept me guessing, and I'll be honest...all my guesses were wrong!! The ending was amazing!! Definitely did not see that coming. If you want a mellow, easy-going book, then keep looking because this isn't the book. But if you want a heart-pounding thrill ride, start reading Last Night right now!!
Loved everything about this story, even the "filler" parts. I appreciated that the clues were there for me to figure out but were subtle enough to still keep me wondering at times where the story was headed. I was not surprised by the ending, but didn't feel disappointed either; I mean it made perfect sense. Wonderful storytelling and thoroughly engrossing. Skillful use of red herrings and misdirection. Highly recommend!
WOWSERS!!
I have become a huge fan of Kerry Wilkinson's stand-alone thrillers and this one was SUPERB!
Twists galore had me questioning everything and there were a few moments that I Found myself holding my breath.
Great characterisation, excellent narrative and an intense and intriguing storyline kept me up until the early hours.
A definite HELL YEAH recommendation from me!
I like all Kerry's books, but the Jessica Daniel series will always be my ultimate treat. This was an entertaining read, and another brilliant offering to enjoy.
Rose is a bored wife and mother. She's discontented with about every aspect of her life. Then one early morning her life becomes less boring and a lot more confusing. She wakes up in her car in the middle of nowhere with no memory of how she got there. Worse than that there's blood on the windscreen. She returns home and does her best to cover up what has happened but then comes more bad news - her daughter's boyfriend is missing and the last time he was seen he was arguing with Rose.....
This feels a little rushed. Whilst the writing is good the plot is a bit contrived - from early on I was pretty certain I knew where it was headed and I was right. But I read a lot of books like this so that's not a massive issue. What is a problem is having a central character that you just really cannot like? She's the friend you have that always has it worse than everyone else - you've had a bump in a car, she was in a plane crash....you have a broken leg, hers is been amputated. You know the one I mean. And yet despite this, it's pretty enjoyable thriller fodder. I just won't remember it in a day or two.
Today I am really pleased to be a part of Kerry Wilkinson's Blog Blitz to celebrate the publication of his new release, Last Night.
I really enjoy Kerry Wilkinson's novels, they are always a great read and Last Night is definitely one of my favourites so far. An intriguing read, where the reader follows the police in trying to solve the
crime and are thrown a number of red herrings throughout the case which send the reader off track.
Rose is a great character - I was unsure about her relationships with both her husband and her daughter, they were definitely not happy every after but this all adds to the case and Rose's life is definitely turned upside down. I really enjoyed the conclusion, satisfying and not an easy solve.
Thank you to Bookouture for sending me the book in return for an honest review.
This is a good modern thriller about a woman who wakes up in a car crash with no memory of it happening. It took me a wee while to get into and there are a few red herrings, twists and turns. However I found everything comes together nicely at the end.
This was a story which kept me guessing and wondering what exactly was going on all the way through. It is a slow starter and I almost gave up reading, but I’m glad I didn’t as it picked up pace eventually.
The reveal was done at exactly the right point and I didn’t see it coming at all, which is always a sign of a good story.
Many thanks to Bookouture and Netgalley for providing a copy.
Last Night was a great book. I was gripped all the way through but was thrown at the end with the twist.
An absorbing story with a catalogue of events that I totally loved.
Another great book by Kerry.
I enjoyed this, although I did find it incredible far fetched!! There were many plot holes, where I just thought, 'Really?????', but if you are prepared to suspend your disbelief, it is still a good fun thriller to read.
So I just could not finish this book. I tried multiple times to stop reading and pick up when I felt in a better mood for this novel but I couldn't get into it. This book felt like it kept on dragging.
A slow-burner turned into a page-turner! I love Kerry Wilkinson’s work; he never fails to disappoint. A great standalone I will be recommending to others.
Thanks to Bookouture for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
