I love this idea, singing the scriptures. I will be honest, I haven't tried it yet. But Julie shares many stories about how it has worked in her own life and the lives of others.
At the end of each chapter is a prayer, a few questions and then usually it will tell you to go visit her site, click on the chapter you just finished and do the activity. I haven't had a chance to try any of that yet, but I do plan to.
She stresses that you do not have to be a worship leader or have a beautiful voice to do this. It is all about the Word getting in your heart and mind. If this sounds interesting to you I recommend this book.

Singing the Scriptures is a book that I wasn't quite sure would be relevant to me. However, I was pleasantly surprised that this book was just as relevant to me as it would be to someone who is a member of a worship team. I appreciated the simplicity of the concepts and the clarity of her information and guidance. I recommend this book to anyone looking to deepen their relationship with the Lord.

What a great introduction to singing the Scriptures! I thoroughly enjoyed the first part of the book where the author mentions teaching about singing the Scriptures and an 82 year old man weeps as he shares that singing Psalms 116:1-2 made him realize for the first time in his Christian experience that God has heard EVERY prayer that he had ever prayed! He did not feel worthy to be in Gods house, he felt as if he should be in the servant’s quarters, God revealed the truth that this man was His son as he sang the Scriptures!
There are You Tube links offered for the first few chapters to help you get started in learning how to sing the Scriptures, and these are very helpful, along with the authors website.
You will learn how singing the Scriptures has helped Julie and other people focus on God, renew their minds, and actually connect the two sides of the brain!
