Wow. First of all I sobbed hard when Loyal was killed in his dog form. I got so involved with the characters it was like the rest of the world ceased to exist while I was reading it. The only flaw (and it's not the books fault, totally on me as a reader) was that I couldn't get past the fact that the main heroines love interest was her dog,. I get the storyline and I think the author did an absolutely stunningly good job with the book. I just couldn't help looking at my dog and going, " yeah, never happening"
