This is the story of the author who struggles with misdiagnosed brain injury. It tells of how she relies on friends to get her through some of the hardest times until she is finally correctly diagnosed. This story is written beautifully.

This is a thoroughly engrossing description of the author's experience of pain, confusion and fear when she experienced extreme and undiagnosed brain trauma. For many months she was misdiagnosed and experienced a medical system that could not help her. Through resilience and sheer doggedness, combined with the support of others and a much delayed correct diagnosis, she was able to overcome and rebuild her life. This may sound like a depressing read - it is not. The author is clearly a strong, independent woman and this shines through all of her experiences. Highly recommended.
