Thank you to Bookouture for letting me take part in this tour. I have been a huge fan of Tilly’s work since she first started writing adult books. I love her writing style and she never fails to entrap me in the world she has created. I knew I was going to read this book without even looking at the cover or blurb.

At first I thought there were a lot of characters and I wasn’t sure how they were all going to fit together but Tilly did an amazing job of weaving them all into this story. I think that ever character played an integral part in the story.

We begin the story with Harper and Shay on Silver Hill Farm. Shay is digging the foundations for some new holiday lets when he discovers a chest full of jewels and gold. Harper immediately wants nothing to do with and brings in some professionals to decide what happens to it.

I really liked Harper. She is so selfless and kind hearted. I’m not sure I would have acted as she does in this book. I was rooting so hard for her to find her happy ending.

I didn’t trust Shay from the moment he appeared. There was something about him that just put me a little on edge. I couldn’t put my finger on it at first but as the story progressed it became clear.

Also living at the farm is Harper’s best friend Pip. I LOVED PIP! She was so straight talking and would be there for Harper no matter what. I think she was my favourite character in this book.

Francesca or Cesca as she likes to be called is very excited to look at the find from Silver Hill Farm. Her job at the museum is less than exciting and when she is asked to look into the find she barely stops to grab her coat before running out the door. Cesca was another great character. She has a love of history and is extremely passionate about it.

There are three more main characters in this book that I am going to say a few words about. First we have Allie. I felt for Allie. She does some terrible things yes but she does truly regret them. I really just wanted her life to turn around. Second we have Will. Will is Lord of Silver Hill House. He is quite the recluse and the house is crumbling to pieces. Will has taken on all the burdens of his family as his own. He thinks that the villagers tar him with the same brush as his brother so he decides to stay away. Third and finally we have Kristofer. What a delightful and unexpected character. Kristofer is extremely passionate about everything. He is one of those people that just loves life.

Tilly has captured my heart once again with the world of Cerne Hay and the surrounding area. I had tears during the epilogue it was so sweet and I just didn’t want it to be over. I would love to revisit these characters. I’m not sure what story Tilly could bring me but I will really miss these characters.

I haven’t read anything by Tilly Tennant in a while, but knowing how much I loved her books, I decided to give this one a read and I wasn’t disappointed.

The Summer of Secrets, is a wonderfully uplifting book. There is so much going on, not only with Harper, but with the rest of the cast too. It was also refreshing to see a gay character featured in a Chick-Lit-Esq book.

The plot has been perfectly executed and the scenery is so vividly described that at times I felt like I was standing alongside Harper. I loved every single page and found myself hooked right from the off. This is one of those books that was just a delight to read and I looked forward to returning to it each and every time I had to put it down.

If you want a smile and that feel-good factor for a summer read then this could be the very book. Harper is happy. She has a wonderful farmhouse, bought from her inheritance and a tea shop that she runs with her best friend Pip. Her gorgeous fiance Shay is currently sorting the foundations to some holiday lets that they are adding on to the complex. When a chance discovery or two turns things on their heads, Harper being s to see things in a different light. Tilly never disappoints. Her stories are always full of larger than life characters, some humour, some upset and wonderful descriptions hat let you relax and escape for while without being overly “twee” (as I was asked about another book the other day)! .I love Tilly’s style and reading her books always leaves me with a smile and that uplifting factor. that restores your faith in human nature.I look forward to the next Tilly Tennant book very much.

4 sweet stars🌟🌟🌟🌟

This was a complicated secret filled book disguised as a sweet fluffy read.... and I mean this in the best way possible... this book started and I thought oh lovely setting, lovely love story, perfect relationship, oh so sweet, and there’s even tea and scones.... then a treasure was uncovered, secrets were revealed, and things went sideways..... and I have to give it to the author all this going on and there still was that lovely sweet feeling to this book that made you smile despite the fact that you probably shouldn’t be....

Harper owns the perfect farmhouse.... where she runs the perfect tea shop.... she also has the perfect stable fiancé with those perfect Popeye biceps.... but as we all know even in romance books things aren’t always as they seem.... there were a few little twists in this book and I thought there was going to be a love triangle for a hot minute.... all I will say is people aren’t always who they seem to be and that was absolutely true in this book....

Harper was a fantastic character... a girl I would love to go out to lunch with (this is always my measuring stick when it comes to book characters would I want to go out to lunch with them or not, and I love to go out to lunch).... how can you not adore a girl who has a GOAT psychiatrist? Yes that is not a typo a GOAT.... a big shout out to Terrence! Also really loved her BFF Pip.... enjoyed the towns people and I also liked another character very much, but that is kind of a spoiler so I will leave it at that....

Absolutely recommend to fans of romance, fabulous characters, and an amazing setting....

*** thank you so much to the publisher and Net Galley for a copy of this book ***

I adored this wonderful heart-warming story that captured my soul and left me glued to my ereader and I didn't want the story to end.  Alas, I'm now bereft and missing my dose of feel-good from Harper and her friends at Silver Hill Farm.

I've always loved the idea of living on a farm and also having my own tearoom so this new novel by Tilly Tennant was a must read for me.  Harper Woods, the main character, has now been established at her little oasis of calm amongst the natural beautiful landscape in and around Silver Hill Farm with it's small animal petting zoo and tearoom for a year now.  After escaping an unpleasant relationship back in Weymouth Harper and her best friend Pip moved to Cerne Hay to start anew and now feel accepted in the village. This new venture has given Harper back her confidence and she is starting to enjoy life again.

Unearthing an embossed box in the grounds of the farm which looks to hold some antique jewellery Harper's life is about to get a lot more interesting and bringing her unwanted attention from the press and treasure hunters.  With the help of a historian working at the local museum a quest is started to find the original owners of the find.  Finding proof of the original owners is proving to be more difficult than first expected.  I loved this side of the story investigated the past of long lost treasure, it was fascinating and made a great diversion in the storyline.  Will the chance of fortune alter the course of Harper's future?

As so often in village life any relationship entanglements are scrutinised and gossiped about and indiscretions in the past often find a way of being misinterpreted.  Will these secrets from the past stay hidden?

A gorgeous story with a wonderful feel-good warmth emanating from the storyline.  After our recent late onslaught of winter weather The Summer of Secrets has been a vital boost to the soul, thank you Tilly Tennant for bringing some much needed sunshine.

YAY...the new Tilly Book is out, and trust me when I say it is JUST as amazing as the cover! Harper Woods runs a teashop on Silver Hill Farm alongside her best friend Pip. Together they are trying to build up her business with th help of Harper's boyfriend Shay. As much as I liked both Harper and Pip from the beginning, I never took to Shay and thought he was a bit of an idiot. However, when Shay discovers and old collection of jewellery buried on Harper's land a can of worms is well and truly opened.

Cesca is a local Museum Officer who is called in to help organise and sort out the jewellery as there are certain rules regarding such old 'treasure'. Cesca is very likeable and becomes an integral part of the story, she also finds the more time she spends at Silver Hill, the more she falls in love with it. There are a number of additional characters that make their appearance such as Will Frampton the reclusive owner of Silver Hill House as well as the local history buff Norwegian Kristofer. The story is lovely and you get a real sense of village life and as usual Tilly does a beautiful job of describing this quaint English Village.
Many lives are going to change in Silver Hill, it's just a case of who will end up with what and why. I am a huge fan of Tilly's books and this latest one is absolutely no exception. A fantastic read and one that I would highly recommend.

OOOOH- treasure! When Harper's fiancé Shay finds buried treasure, it isn't the wonderful thing you might expect but it is the catalyst for a really good story. Tennant has a way of creating characters who you can cheer and hiss- sometimes in the same book. Harper's had such a rough time in the last few years but now she's thinking things are going to be ok, especially since she's engaged to Shay. Ahem. She does havre an awesome friend in Pip. AND, what about Will? Is he a creep or a good guy? This being a Tenant novel, you know things are going to turn out ok. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. This is a cheery, positive, and entertaining read with good dialogue and a few chuckles along with the smiles.

A big thank you to Noelle at Bookouture for my review copy of the book and for asking me to participate on the blog tour.

I’ve read quite a few books by Tilly Tennant now and oh, they never fail to disappoint with the cosy feel you get from reading them!

The storyline had everything you want – romance, an element of mystery, buried treasure and some upsets that eagerly have you turning the pages and wondering which way the story is going to develop.

Throughout the book we hear the thoughts of Harper and Cesca whose lives are brought together when some buried treasure is discovered on the land of Harper’s farm and Cesca is the museum officer who is investigating who they actually belong to.

You immediately feel right at home as you are introduced to the other characters in the story, Will who has an interest in the treasure, Pip who is Cesca’s best friend, Shay the loveable rogue who is Harper’s fiancé and Kristofer. (I will leave you to discover Kristofer for yourself…….I wonder if he really exists. I hope so!). The descriptions of where Harper lives sound absolutely beautiful and immediately make you want to leave everything and go live there!

Tilly Tennant does a marvellous job of keeping you on your toes and just as you think things are going a certain way, she will surprise you with a twist that just keeps you guessing. There were a couple of times throughout where you maybe think you know where everything is leading, only to be led in another direction. I love it when this happens in a book – I like to be surprised! The storyline flows brilliantly and really showcases Tilly Tennant’s excellent writing.

I would definitely recommend this book along with her others as they are equally as good as this one.

I’m looking forward to her next already…..

Review shall be up on my blog 14/03 thecosiestcorner.blogspot.com

This novel was kind of like a chick lit mixed with a bit of mystery and I found myself really adoring the storyline as well as the characters. It's quite an enjoyable story and I would recommend, especially if you've enjoyed Tilly's other novels like myself.

The cover itself is absolutely stunning, but then I expected nothing less from a novel by the lovely Tilly Tennant! All of her covers are equally as beautiful and this one is no different. I love the beautiful ombre sky of pink to yellow, the colourful bunting flowing at the top of the over and the stunning pink flowers along the bottom.

This particular story follows main character Harper as her fiance digs up some potential treasure. Thus leading to the mystery as to how it came about. Francesca comes to Harper's farm and teashop to investigate and to look at the potential treasure. This is where the good stuff comes in. Francesca meets Silver Hill House owner Will and the pair hit it off, but not with what you would call romantic sparks to start with... We also learn that Harper's fiance Shay isn't all he's cracked up to be and other local village-goer Allie can vouch for that...

The book is just full of suspense, action, romance and humour and I loved every minute of it. It's slightly different from Tilly's other novels but I found it refreshing and lovely to read. I was glued to my Kindle for a few days that's for sure! Overall, it's a really brilliant read that will leave you hooked even after a few pages. Thank you to Netgalley and to the publisher for a chance to read this novel, which I have reviewed honestly.

This book is exactly what the cover promises, and that precisely what I was in the mood for. Fun, charming, with a great cast of characters and well developed setting, almost a character in itself. Yes, the plot is predictable, but I didn't mind. It was a lovely book, and I will keep this author in mind for the future:-)

How have I got this far in life without reading a Tilly Tennant book before? It’s actually quite a feat, considering how many she has written – and if they are all like, The Summer Of Secrets, my TBR pile is about to topple over under the weight.
If you’re looking for something to make you smile, with a guaranteed happy ending - but with plenty of twists and turns in the middle - then this book is for you.
It did take me a chapter to ease into it but once I was there I got caught up in the lives of eclectic mix of characters.
While the blurb mentions Harper, we also follow the tales of Pip, Cesca and, to some degree, Allie.
There was one point in the book where love was in very short supply and I wasn’t sure if anyone was going to get their happy ending but, I’m pleased to say, it all works out in the end – and the story was more colourful for the 'will they, won’t they' moments.
Shay reminded me of a panto villain – I definitely wanted to boo and hiss every time he came on to the page - but posh Will and Kristofer, a “living, breathing viking”, tipped the scales on to the side of good.
All in all this was a great read which bounced along at quite a pace and, best of all, brought a big grin to my face.
Now to pick which of her books to read next!

With thanks to Bookouture (via NetGalley) for the ARC in return for an honest review.

I am a great fan of Tilly Tennant's books, so I sat down to start this new story full of anticipation. I'm glad to say that I was not disappointed. I found myself lost in this tale of secrets and discoveries, intrigued right from the start.

The story revolves around an interesting find at Silver Hill Farm, a property owned by Harper Woods, where she has achieved her dream of running a tearoom and petting zoo with best friend Pip. Harper has recently become engaged to builder Shay, and it is while he is digging out some foundations at the farm that a box containing some potentially valuable antique jewellery is unearthed. Although bringing unwanted attention from the press, the discovery leads to Harper's meeting Lord William Frampton, owner of nearby Silver Hill House a once stately Manor House, who claims the jewellery, Cesca Logan, an expert from the local museum, and Norwegian Kristofer Bakke, a local history enthusiast. As the investigation into the possible origins of the jewellery progresses, Harper begins to examine her feelings for Shay, who has secrets of his own.

I really have enjoyed reading this story. It captured the imagination from the very start. Not only is there the puzzle of the find and the people who may have been involved in its being buried alongside the farm, there is the promise of romance growing with each page. Shay was not a likeable character at all, and I was willing Harper to see that she could do so much better. With that exception, all of the other main characters were extremely engaging. Definitely another triumph for Tilly Tennant and one that I would heartily recommend, especially if you like a bit of mystery with your romance.

Thank you to Netgalley, the author and the Publishers, Bookouture, for this review copy given in exchange for an honest review. Also thank you to Noelle from Bookouture for organising the Blog Tour!

Harper Woods lives on Silver Hill Farm. She runs the local tea rooms, is engaged to handsome Shay and life is pretty good! One day, whilst digging foundations for new holiday lets that she and Shay are planning for the farm, they find a collection of old jewellery. No knowing whose it is or if it is worth anything, they take the find to a museum so the museum can try and find out who the rightful owner is or if Harper is entitled to a finder’s fee. In the course of the museum’s investigations Will Frampton, Lord of Silver Hill House, claims the jewellery belongs to him. Striking up a friendly relationship with the grumpy Lord of the Manor, Harper is shocked when there is an obvious atmosphere between Will and her fiancé, Shay. She thinks that it’s because Shay wants to keep the money but it becomes apparent there are older and deeper arguments that have been left unsettled. Whilst Harper is trying to unravel the mystery of the jewellery she seems to have not noticed that Shay is getting closer to his ex-girlfriend.

I love Tilly Tennant’s books, and this one is no exception! The cover is all pink and summery and is the perfect cover for this cold snowy day! There are so many things in this book that make you feel good and it was an absolute pleasure to read! I loved Harper’s character. She is such a nice person! Struggling to run the tea rooms, the petting farm which she has set up, planning new holiday lets on the farm and having to put up with Shay’s ever increasing moods – she certainly has a lot on her plate. Finding the jewellery would have been a godsend to her as she could really use the money that she would get from them! You feel sorry for her on so many levels and really hope that she has a happy ending!

The story flowed well and had me hooked right through to the last page! I loved the setting and was transported to the village on so many occasions! I also never knew how many handsome men lived in small villages – perhaps I need to think about moving! The story also seemed to end with a view to a possible series! This would be fantastic going back to visit Harper and some of the other characters and would really round the story off well!

It was a delightful story full of love, laughter and tears. I know you know how the story will end, but it was a wonderful trip getting there! Highly recommended!!

Wow absolutely wow, Tilly has done it again, another truly wonderful story which you just fall into and lose yourself right from the very first page. Could not put it down.

I loved everything about it, from the storyline, the setting/location to the characters which were all brilliantly well written. So much so that you feel like the characters are going to come alive right before your very eyes.

I loved the friendship between Harper and Pip, being there for each other, offering support and a push when required. Just how a true friendship should be.

I adored the whole mystery element that was woven into the story. It made me turn the pages that much quicker so as to find out if the mystery got solved and the outcome of it.

There was also a surprising element in it, where you think one of the character's is going to end up with another character come the end of the story only to discover that said character ends up with someone else, totally unexpected.  So definitely a couple of unpredictable occurrences within the story.

I'm a huge fan of Tilly Tennant's books, so much so that I'm ready for another of her books already.

Another gem from Tilly Tennant. Read alongside a more challenging book (The Babysitter), this was my bedtime reading for a few nights.

It’s not hard to get caught up in the delights of village life with characters such as Harper and Pip who run the local farm tea shop, Cesca the museum officer and the two attractive men - Lord Will and the hunky Norwegian Kristofer!

A delight - even with the highs and lows of the story - 4🌟 from me.

When I've come down from my reading high I will write a proper review, but I just wanted to say how fantastic this book is. Another gem! I want to live there, near the farm and the big house and I want to be everyone's friend.
I just love love loved it. Thank you Tilly Tennant x
UPDATE:-
I just want to say how fantastic this book is. Another gem, a lovely feel-good story
This book gave me a real reading high. I want to live there, near the farm and the big house and I want to be everyone's friend.
The characters were really likeable (and some really dislikeable) and all had good depth. I was really interested in their lives and what was going on.
There was a lot of chemistry and attraction, not telling who though as I don’t want to spoil it.
There are some touching and emotional scenes which the author writes so beautifully.
If you’ve not read any books by this author, why the heck not?! Do it now, read this one. Or read one from the ‘From Italy with Love’ series, or the ‘Honeybourne’ series…you won’t regret it!
I just love love loved it. Thank you Tilly Tennant x
Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for the review copy, in which I give my honest opinion.

I have read several of Tilly Tennant’s books and feel this is the best so far.
Harper owns Silver Hill Farm where she runs a tea shop with her best friend Pip, she is also newly engaged to Shay. While working on the farm Shay uncovers a box of old jewellery and thinks that they should keep it but Harper is unsure. Meanwhile Will, who lives at Silver Hill House believes the jewellery belongs to his family so he also has a claim. Cesca an expert from the local museum is called in to decide who the jewellery belongs to.
An excellent story with plenty of great characters, featuring friendship and romance which was delight to read from start to finish.
