Thank you Netgalley for my review copy of this book.

Loved the pictures in this book so much that we purchased the book in our college for our photography students - beautiful stunning pictures. Inspired me to go out and photograph our Cornwall shore a little bit more.

This book is a collection of beautiful photographs of the seashore. There is very little text. I would have liked to read a little about the locations of the photographs. Otherwise this is a wonderful coffee table book to enjoy

A beauty of a book filled with stunning photographs of the shoreline. I can picture this being a perfect coffee table book at a cabin or beach house. I lost myself in the images, and I loved every single page.

A huge thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for sending me a digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I truly appreciate it!

Thank you to Joseph R. Votano, Schiffer Publishing Ltd., and Netgalley for this advanced reader copy of “The Timeless Seashore” for a free review.

I have been in love with the ocean since the very first time I my eyes rested upon those teeming, endless waves rocking toward me and out into eternity, ever different shifting colors, every holding and giving, ever everything. Thus, it’s not doubt or question, I would have to pick up this book the moment that I saw it cross my dashboard of options.

The photos in here are breathtakingly gorgeous. The ocean is so achingly well captured in all seasons, times of days, types of weather. I do think the pages could have included the locations on them, rather than in an index on the back, but I don’t think the ending glossary took away from the easy enjoyment and powerful presence on every page to only see the image.

I have loved the ocean since I was a very young girl, and so I was drawn to this book. The photographs are stunning and I enjoyed looking at them. What would have made the book perfect for me would have been captions on the individual photos/pages, instead of continually having to look at the end to find out where the photos were taken. Otherwise, it's a beautiful coffee table book!

I was able to read a digital copy of this book for free from NetGalley, and am grateful to the publisher and the author for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book was a series of photographs of the seaside in the United States. It was beautiful, but I found it lacking in something more. I also disliked having to skip to the end of the book to know where each photo was taken.

As a true blue shore lover, this book was like a soothing balm for the soul. We moved inland after 30 years in South Jersey and this book brings back many beautiful memories. The photos are outstanding the variety is mind numbing. Who knew that beaches around the US could be so different. Perfect coffee table book that is sure to please anyone who likes photography or the beach. Includes sand, grass, boats and lighthouses with an eye toward beauty. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

The Timeless Seashore by Joseph Votano is filled with beautiful, engaging photographs that remind this reader how much and why I love the coasts. The power of the ocean, or it being still and quietly lapping; the variety of water and sky colors; the way it changes day to day (even hour to hour); the moodiness of it all - that is what Votano captures with his photographs.

There are 75 photographs, spread over 9 chapters, the majority from the Eastern Atlantic coastline. I know I would return to these photos time and again.

I only wish that Votano had included more photographs in this book - particularly, I wish he had thought to include pictures of some of the marine life in the ocean, how thrilling to see pods of dolphins and whales!! A picture or two of shell-filled beaches would also have been appreciated. I think these two additions who have made the book more complete.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Schiffer Publishing for allowing me the privilege of reading this book in exchange for an unbiased review.

A slim volume of photographs, grouped into categories but with no accompanying text. The photos are gorgeous, and this is a nice coffee table book, but I think a little more information would improve it. There is a list at the end giving locations for each photo. Apologies to the author but this seems like a vanity project - I have know some photographers do this, that is paying to print their collections - but if you are selling to the general public then perhaps a little more effort and information is required.

This book contains some of the most stunningly beautiful pictures of the coast that I have ever seen. There are no descriptions accompanying the pictures, nature is left to speak for itself. I have watched the sunset in Annisquam, MA but my photos are nowhere near as good as this one(Plate 71). I have also watched the sunrise over Cape Cod Bay, MA and these pictures are much better than my memories(Plates 67 & 68).
I can see this being a great coffee table book for anyone who enjoys the beauty of the seashore. I have several friends who have moved away from this part of the world and I believe I may have just found the perfect holiday gift. I have a digital ARC so there might be changes coming prior to publication. One I would suggest would be to have the locations under each picture. As it stands, you have to go to the Index to find that information.
Thank you Joseph R. Votano, Schiffer Publishing Ltd., and NetGalley for the complimentary copy to read and review. I had quite an enjoyable time reminiscing about many of the places I have been that were represented in The Timeless Seashore.

Gorgeous images throughout, and if you are just looking for a book about the coastal beauty than this would be great for your coffee table. The book is set up into categories, such as lighthouses, coastal grasses, etc. and are easy to follow in that respect. One thing I didn't like though, was the photos just have a plate number, so if you want to know where it is you have to go to the back reference section to find that location. Also, while I do not want a lot of words, since the photos are the story, a little description and discussion of why that location grabbed the photographer would have been a nice touch too. Would recommend, and the photos are stunning. Just, for my taste, would have preferred a bit more written details.

Goethe once said "We live in the midst of [Nature] and are strangers. She speaks to us unceasingly and betrays not her secret." This is one of those books where you can almost hear nature, in this case the waves upon the shore line. The beauty is so satisfying. The shore lines of the USA pictured in this book are astounding. I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a coffee table book that shows timeless beauty, that anyone can appreciate.

A book of little words (actually, there aren't any) with jaw-dropping photos of landscapes by the water. Beautifully captured shots of different shorelines in the US. There is a different mood within each photo, as well. The photography is beautiful and inspiring for an amateur photographer, like myself. Great coffee table book!

Absolutely stunning photos of the U.S. Atlantic coastline. Votano's work all have magnificent composition. He succeeds in letting his camera tell the story yet leaves something to the imagination.

The photos are loosely grouped by theme and there is a complete index provided in the back of the book naming both the location and photographer.

Whether you have been to the sea shore before, or not, there is plenty to discover here.

I wish I could give this book more then 5 stars. There are so many breathtaking photos in this book of seashores, coastlines, and everything else to do with the sea. I honestly cannot pick just one or even 5 of my favorites in the book, I loved every one of them.

Plate 49 is of the St. Augustine Lighthouse in St. Augustine Florida. I have been there and climbed the lighthouse many times. Plate 46 is the interior of Ponce De Leon Lighthouse in Ponce Inlet Florida. I have also climbed those steps several times. The views from these lighthouses are just amazing in person. Looking at these pictures made me want to go back to both.

There are 75 photos in this book and each are beautiful. Their is no words or descriptions in the book, just beauty. At the back of the book there is an index to tell you where each photo is from.

I received this book from the Author or Publisher via Netgalley.com to read and review.

Nice photographs but nothing spectacular. Some of the pictures look rather plastic like they have been digitally altered. Coffee table book yes but, not one I would buy.
