ALL YOUR PERFECTS hooked me from the very first page and I’m not embarrassed to tell you that I did not do any of my household chores until I was finished reading! Needless to say, my husband was constantly yelling at me to stop reading! Obviously he has never read a Colleen Hoover novel because everyone knows once you start there is no way to stop. I devour her stories and everyone of them has crushed my heart and left me crying. ALL YOUR PERFECTS does not disappoint. Colleen Hoover, you owe me a box of tissues! There isn’t a single thing about this book that I didn’t love. It was wonderful, mesmerizing, hypnotizing, heartbreaking and breathtaking.

This is going to be a shorter review because my honest opinion is that it’s best to go into ALL YOUR PERFECTS knowing as little as possible about the actual story so I won’t tell you anything that’ll ruin the experience here. But I can say that I was hooked from the very first page and completely drawn into these characters’ lives. I loved that the story was serious but little parts made me laugh out loud which broke up the more emotionally charged scenes. I swooned, proclaimed my undying love for ALL YOUR PERFECTS and had to take many breaks to wipe the tears that were flowing freely down my face more than once. Quinn and Graham will break your heart over and over again just like they did to me.

Once I started reading ALL YOUR PERFECTS I discovered that there’s even more to this story than meets the eye. There’s an added layer to it that I absolutely loved but that I won’t mention because discovering it as you read is honestly the best. One of the things I love most about Colleen Hoover’s writing is how deeply she makes me care for her characters and how strongly she makes me feel for them. Deception and pain, love and loss, secrets and truths, hope and redemption—they all twist and tangle together creating another unforgettable novel from one of the freshest and most trusted voices in romance. Finally, you need to read ALL YOUR PERFECTS! It will surprise, shock, impress, grip and absorb you into its story. And those wonderful characters, how happy I am for having ‘met’ them! They will stick with me for a very long time. I just know the same thing will happen for you…

A perfectly imperfect love story seeped in issues of infidelity, romance, devastation, infertility, hope, and avoidance that have these soul mates questioning if they can be enough for each other.
Hoover’s masterful writing is present, as well as a multi dimensional plot that keeps you wanting more. Her characters are significant and relatable. Quinn is heartbreakingly down to earth and real, while Graham’s truths and soul make you fall in love with who he is.
Excellent survival story, Hoover fans will be cheering with this one

"I don’t know where you went or when you left, but I have no idea how to bring you back. I am so alone. We live together. We eat together. We sleep together. But I have never felt more alone in my entire life.”

Heart-wrenching but compelling story of a marriage in crisis. Colleen Hoover captures the intensity, obstacles and beauty of long-term relationships. Highly recommend!

"The quietness is what drew me to him the first day I met him. It made me feel at peace. Funny how that same quietness makes me uneasy now."

THIS BOOK! I am often reluctant to read a book that has a lot of hype surrounding it, or has tons of 5-star reviews. But this book lives up to every accolade and is one of Colleen Hoover's best books. It is poignant, funny, real and difficult. But Graham and Quinn drew me in and I fell in love with Graham. What a fantastic character! This couple meets in a very unexpected way and the beginning of the book took me my surprise.

I am a huge fan of alternating between past and present and the author does a masterful job of SHOWING us how deep this couple's love was. There was no telling. I felt every emotion, every heartbreak and every little triumph. The sometimes ugly side of marriage is on full display here, along with the beauty and joy of unconditional love.

"The most disturbing thing about it is how skilled we are at pretending nothing has changed. We don’t talk about it. We’re alike in a lot of ways, one of them being our ability to avoid the things that need the most attention."

I could not put this book down and devoured every page. Is the subject matter heartbreaking? Yes. But the story is so perfectly paced and the characters are so relatable that I simply could not wait to see where their story would end up. I love a good book about marriage and 'All Your Perfects' is one of my favorites. It takes a lot to make me cry but I teared up many times while reading this book!

"It’s strange how I can miss a person who is still here. It’s strange that I can miss making love to a person I still have sex with. "

Quinn's suffering affects not only her husband but everyone around her. There is plenty to love about this book and it is not just one long emotional story. Graham may be the most loving partner ever but will his love and devotion to his wife be enough to save his marriage?

"My husband’s heart is my saving grace, but his physical touch has become my enemy."

I was wowed by this book and thoroughly enjoyed every single page. One of Colleen Hoover's very best. Don't miss this one.

How do you explain perfect imperfection because that is exactly what All Your Perfects is. It's a heart and gut wrenching story that spins a beautiful and poetic love story.

"My husband's heart is my saving grace, but his physical touch has become my enemy."

I'm not going to recap what happens because it will spoil the experience with the story. If you've read Hoover before, you know she gives you an experience. ALL THE FEELS ALL THE TIME.

All Your Perfects is extremely relatable, raw and real. People experience these situations all the time so what I hope anyone in a similar experience gets out of this story is to stay strong, stay true to yourself and love unconditionally.

Quinn is relatable as a woman and while I have never personally experienced her heartbreak, I felt for her. I felt her pain. And Graham. Oh, Graham. His love for Quinn was devastating beautiful.

At this point I think I would just end up rambling because at the end of the day, all I want and need to say is that this is perfectly imperfect and a story that I will never forget. Once again, CoHo conjures up every emotion impossible and forces me to experience them. Well done. Top book of the year, by far!

There are myriad reasons why the connection between those involved in a marriage, or similar relationship, might become broken: financial hardship, the death of a child, addiction or, in the case of Graham and Quinn Wells, infertility. While Colleen Hoover has become famous for her thoughtful, emotionally-charged romance writing, I would hesitate to classify this as a romance; All Your Perfects is a powerful story that describes an especially challenging series of events and the resilient couple who must decide how to proceed.

I've never considered myself a fan of the romance genre; however, I was encouraged by a friend to try one of Hoover's books on audio, when I was having an especially tough time finding engaging material for long runs and my boring work commute. Her writing is worth all the hype, and I can certainly understand now why her fan base is as incredible as it is!

Without spoiling any of the good stuff, I'll just say that this story really resonated with me; my husband and I have certainly been through some challenges that, I would venture to guess, have not plagued most couples during their first ten years of marriage. Hoover handles this story both carefully and compassionately; I could hardly put it down. For those who may be, or may have been, struggling with infertility, please note that it is a prominent theme in this book; I can only imagine that the way in which the experience of Graham and Quinn unfolds might offer some support in its honesty and relatability.

I don’t really have the words to tell you how I feel about this book. Colleen Hoover is so good at drawing emotion out of me, especially with her adult books. Fair warning, this is an intense and heartbreaking book. Pick it up when you’re in the mood for that because it’s not an easy, fluffy, happy read. The pain is not one moment and done. It’s a drawn out, gut wrenching experience. While it took me by surprise, I was so happy to have gone on this journey with these characters.

ALL YOUR PERFECTS is about a struggling marriage. They’ve been struggling for years, actually. There’s one big issue that’s looming between them and they don’t know how to prevent it from taking over their love and ending their marriage. I don’t want to mention what that is. This book is definitely best experienced as you read it.

As with IT ENDS WITH US, I can’t say I have experience on what the heroine is going through personally. But I was able to easily understand her. I connected with her desires, her fears, her suffering. This is one of my favorite things about Colleen’s writing. It’s so honest and just human that you can’t help but feel as if you are in the characters shoes.

Don’t worry, there’s some light in between the darkness. This is told in a then and now fashion. The earlier parts are about how they fell in love and they were so adorable and uplifting that they balanced the current situation perfectly. They also gave just the right glimpse into the love that these two shared. How much they belong together. I can honestly say I fell so hard for Graham THEN and then so much more NOW.

Like I said, this isn’t a book to read. But it’s a beautiful story. There’s really no other word for it. Raw and real, Colleen Hoover took me on a roller coaster of emotions that I didn’t want to look away from. It was masterfully done and it may be one of my favorite books by her in a while. Definitely top 3. Can’t wait to see what she does next.

Simply put, Hoover did not disappoint with her newest read. If you are a fan of her work, don’t miss this one!

This book should come with a warning sign...

As all Colleen's books, All Your Perfects is emotional journey of two characters I instantly fell in love with. Quinn and Graham are a married couple going through a rough patch. The book shines light onto some very important topics that are current in modern society.

Colleen switched between chapters sharing their present story with chapters portraying their past. It was very enjoyable and it helped me understand both characters and connect with more deeply. And made me fall in love with them even more.

My favorite part of the story was following the development of each character individually as well as them as a couple. It's one of those book that shows the progress in the character's story. There were parts that kept me on my toes. Other parts made me put it down due to my mind exploding from the emotional load this book carries.

The book was quite inspirational and empowering for me. The story itself is very touching I'd say.

Since I don't want to share any spoilers, I'll end the review here. Just know that this is another 5-star hit by Colleen and she will bring her readers to their knees once again.

Colleen Hoover is one of my favorite authors. Not many can evoke the kind of emotion she does with each and every book. All Your Perfects may be her most emotional one yet, at least for me it was.

Quinn and Graham’s love story starts out in an unconventional way. From the moment they met, to when they married, to now, 7 years after that, it’s apparent that fate put them together. They are still just as much in love now as they were in the beginning, but things out of their control has changed things for them. Life has a way of doing that. Sometimes love isn’t enough, but sometimes, it is.

All Your Perfects went back and forth from past to present by each chapter. This was brilliant. Just as I thought the present was too much and I needed a break, I got to see a chapter of the past. Of Quinn and Graham blissfully in love. It made the book easier to read. And seeing their relationship build gave you insight into the couple they were. A couple that was destined to be together from the start.

My thoughts on this book are complicated. There are so many things about this book that were contradictions for me. I loved it and hated it at the same time. I could relate to the story and the main characters in ways I’ve never related to another book/character, yet there were many choices made and things done I couldn’t relate to at all. When it’s all said and done, this is the journey of Graham and Quinn. And I could never judge this couple on how they handled the hand the had been dealt. Unless you’ve walked a mile in their shoes, neither could you.

Though much of the book was hard for me to read, I thought Hoover ended this story perfectly. The last 10% had me sobbing, but those tears were mostly happy. I loved how the book ended. I loved how real, raw, and brilliant this book was. I loved that a light was shined on a topic that effects many of us, but most people don’t understand it or want to talk about it. I, for one, am glad that most people don’t get it and won’t be able to relate. But for those of us that can, I feel that Colleen did justice to this story and this topic and I’m happy that this book was written. As hard as it was to read at times, I’m glad I read it.

All Your Perfects is an unforgettable, unputdownable, and completely captivating read. It’s a book that will forever leave a mark on my heart. If you’re looking for a book to give you all the feels, one that shows the good, bad, and ugly side of marriage and life, but one that will leave you hopeful and believing in true love, pick this book up. It’s a journey you need to read to experience.

All Your Perfects was a beautifully written book.

Quinn and Graham's story made my heart ache. I can relate to Quinn. The way she was written was so realistic that it brought tears to my eyes. The kind of devastation that infertility brings is hard to capture in words, but I think Colleen Hoover did a pretty good job.

I did rate All Your Perfects as only four stars, though. The ending was a bit too tidy and a bit less than what I would have expected given what Quinn and Graham had been through.

What a roller coaster ride of emotions. Every chapter had me either swooning or crying my eyes out.
A must read for all. I would even recommend this book for all husbands not just our book ones to read.
I also think Ms Hoover may need to invest is a Kleenex company. Lord knows I go through a whole box of them Every time I read her new books. We can call them Hoover's Book tissues.

I hate to do it, but I’m going to have to call it a DNF. I really wanted to like this book, but at the 44% mark, I just couldn’t. And this has nothing to do with the book or even the writing. It's because I couldn't connect to the story or the characters.

This book is about a topic that doesn’t cater to me and I honestly can’t put myself in their shoes. I don’t want to seem like a bad person or come off heartless or insensitive. This book will hit home for quite a few people but it just wasn’t something that I could relate to or a story I could get into.

All Your Perfects introduces us to Quinn and Graham. They've been married for seven years and love each other wholeheartedly. This book explores what happens when even love can't save a marriage from fracturing. When two people begin drifting apart even though they care greatly for one another, and can't seem to save themselves from what's coming.
The book is divided in two parts, Then and Now. Then focuses on Graham and Quinn's relationship in the beginning; their first meeting under less than desirable circumstances. It looks at how their fast attraction and playful flirtatiousness quickly evolves into something more. They are wrapped around each other, completely in bliss.
The Now looks at how the marriage has deteriorated in the passing years over the couple's inability to conceive. It is an honest and at times brutal glimpse into what it feels like to watch happiness slip away, with Graham and Quinn trying to get to a better place.
Even though Colleen Hoover is great at exploring dark themes in her new adult books, this new offering feels more grown up, along the lines of It Ends With Us.
The characters are easy to relate to, even though their choices are not always easy. It's a fast paced read that's packed with gut-wrenching emotion that will have you reading late into the night. You will definitely shed a tear or two, maybe more.. You've been warned

Thank you Atria Books and Netgalley for providing me an arc of this book.

OMG THIS BOOK! I haven't read a lot of Hoover but what I have, I have thoroughly enjoyed. I'm usually not a big romance reader but there's something addicting, compulsive, satisfying and just easy about her writing style that keeps you turning each page through laughter, tears and empathy. UGH, STOP MAKING ME FEEL ALREADY!

I want Graham as a boyfriend, lover and husband. Please, someone create this guy in real life and then send him my way. This is told strictly through Quinn's POV from the past to the present and I just had SO MUCH EMPATHY for her. The struggles she goes through hit all too close to home for me. These kinds of things can make a relationship stronger or can break them apart. Communication is ALWAYS key. There is SO SO much I want to say about this whole book but then I'd be giving the whole thing away and well, that's no fun for you now is it?

Hoover brings these characters to life. I loved seeing how Quinn and Graham's relationship evolved over time. How (mostly) realistic everything was from beginning to end. And to also get a guy's point of view on a very sensitive topic. It's definitely something we don't see the side of a lot and neither side will fully understand the other.... geez, am I being vague enough?

One of my absolute favorite things are Quinn's dreams. I could read a book just about these dreams of hers! The humor, wit and love between these two is beautiful. Category 5s aside, relationship goals are here y'all. 😉

Just such a great book. It made me laugh out loud, cry quietly, sob uncontrollably (maybe a little exaggerating here, but I did hurt myself trying to keep tears in a couple of times) and quite frankly, Colleen - you owe me a box of Kleenex.

I absolutely love everything that Colleen Hoover writes. She brings out every single emotion with every book she writes. All Your Perfects is about a couple that have a deep love for one another but issues in their marriage cause them to question not their love for one another but whether they should remain a couple or not. Quinn and Graham’s story was quite an emotional rollercoaster right from the very beginning. They meet in a very unconventional way but that doesn’t stop them from having a very deep connection very early on in their relationship. They go through so many ups and downs throughout the book but I was very happy with the way everything turned out. This book shows that no marriage is perfect but with lots of work and deep love for each other anyone can make it work.

“If you only shine a light on your flaws, all your perfects will dim.”

“Our marriage has never been perfect. No marriage is perfect. There were times when she gave up on us. There were even more times when I gave up on us. The secret to our longevity is that we never gave up at the same time.”

This book is told in a dual format with chapters from the past and present which i enjoyed. It does contain some sensitive subject matter so please read with caution. This book is emotional and heartwarming. I loved the connection between Graham and Quinn. The secondary characters added lots of depth to the storyline. I can’t wait to see what CoHo is working on next!!

Colleen Hoover never ceases to amaze me with her ability to write subject matters that anyone and everyone can relate to. Whether it is because they are going through it themselves, know someone who is or simply because the characters she creates are so lifelike and real feeling that you can't help but relate and feel for them and want to be a part of their lives.

There is always something that speaks to me in her stories. She has a way of bleeding emotion onto the pages so that you can't help but touch and experience them. And even though some of those emotions tear you up and you feel like you might explode from all the feels by the end, you still want to thank her for putting you through the ringer because somehow, the experience changed you.

All Your Perfects truly touched me. I connected to the story in a way that I didn't even know I could considering I thought I would have nothing in common with it, and yet, once again, CoHo knocked me on my butt and made me feel and think and dream.

Truly a beautiful story about not just surviving but living, falling in love, staying in love, and making it work and most importantly trying to make the most out of those curve balls that life likes to throw us every now and then.

I'm not sure there's an author out there who puts me through the wringer consistently with each new book quite like Colleen Hoover does. I feel like her tagline should be "expect the unexpected... and tears" because she always manages to floor me with the twists in her books. She also makes me cry — to varying degrees depending on the book and my mood — every single time. These are all great things, and reasons she will forever be an auto-buy/auto-request author.

I'm not going to dive too deep into the story of All Your Perfects because, again, I feel Colleen's books are best just experienced. Truth be told, I don't even read her blurbs or any reviews for her books before I go in. I like jumping in totally blind — with tissues and a chilled bottle of wine on hand — and riding the roller coaster of emotions. That's exactly what I did with All Your Perfects over the weekend. I read it in, quite literally, one sitting. (Seriously, my Apple Watch stats prove it. It kept encouraging me to get up and move around and I kept ignoring it because I had to know how everything played out.)

All Your Perfects was quintessential CoHo. I'll admit I was a little nervous to read about a marriage falling apart, because I as an unmarried woman can have a tough time relating to books like that at times. This was not one of those times. The writing was so real and so raw that I could relate to Quinn and Graham's struggles despite having no basis for that in my experiences. I'll be the first to admit I had a love/hate relationship with both main characters at times. They're both flawed and they both do some awful stuff to each other. I mean, there's a reason their marriage is struggling. (Or, to be more precise, several.) But, I was still rooting for them. The idea of them splitting up broke my heart. The struggles that led them down this path also made my heart hurt.

If you've watched the musical/movie The Last Five Years, there were parts of All Your Perfects which reminded me a lot of it. Maybe not plot-wise, but the way the setting flipped back and forth between then and now certainly did. So did all the feels and emotions I had as a result. It was a beautiful book and I'll close with this — I had more happy tears than sad tears. But there were tears. And wine. All Your Perfects is one of my new favorite CoHo books.

FAVORITE QUOTES
"If you only shine light on your flaws, all your perfects will dim."

"I thought you were the one that got away."
"I still could be."
"Don't be."

Apologies are good for admitting regret, but they do very little in removing the truth from the actions that caused the regret.

No matter how much you love someone—the capacity of that love is meaningless if it outweighs your capacity to forgive.

I'm not even that great of a writer, so I'm not sure I'm even going to be able to convey what I need to say to you in words. I'm better with numbers, but I don't want to bore you with a bunch of math equations, like Me plus You equals infinity.

"I didn't want you to fall in love with me because of fate. I wanted you to fall in love with me simply because you couldn't help yourself."

I honestly, HONESTY didn’t think I would love this book for two reasons.

You see, I was doubting my love for Colleen’s writing. I wondered why she was even my all-time favorite author. For a moment I forgot about how freaking fantastic her books are and her amazing talent and I started questioning everything about my love towards her. “Do I just like her books because she is so dang popular and I want to go with the flow and like her because everyone else does? Do I really, truly, wholeheartedly LOVE her stories with every fiber of my being to call her my ALL-TIME favorite author? Should I even love her books this much? Because some people are really not into her stories and they are not afraid to say it and sometimes they kind of make me feel ashamed for liking her and I don’t know anything anymore.” Those were thoughts that ran through my head from the moment Colleen published Without Merit almost a year ago until just a few hours ago before I started All Your Perfects. But all of those stupid questions and doubts are all gone now that I finished reading this masterpiece of a book. Now I remember the reason I am proud to call her my all-time favorite author and that is simply because she has an extraordinary talent and her words make my heart feel complete. She’s always been great at writing heartwarming, heart wrenching and heartbreaking stories but she outdid herself with this one.

Which kind of brings me to the second reason I didn’t think I would love this book. I’m not a fan of stories about failing marriages. When I pick up a book I want to read all about how the couple meets and how they fall in love not how they fall out of love—which I thought would be this book in a nutshell. But with Quinn and Graham’s story you get both, you get the ugly, broken parts and the beautiful, happy parts. There are NOW chapters and THEN chapters. To be honest when I started reading I could picture myself telling you all about how I loved the THEN chapters more than I did the NOW chapters because it was hard for me to see things through Quinn’s eyes in the NOW since we are polar opposites but I actually loved them all equally. I loved reading about how they fell in love as well as how they fought for their marriage. I never thought I’d enjoy that but Quinn and Graham’s relationship is beautiful even when it is at its ugliest.

All Your Perfects is by far the most emotional book Colleen has ever written in my opinion. I am writing this words through the ugliest puffy and blurry eyes ever because I still cannot stop crying and I probably never will. Of all her stories and all her characters this is the story I can relate to the least and it is one of my favorites if not my favorite (can’t make up my mind, what’s new). It is SO beautifully written and thought out and full of love and emotion and tiny details so characteristic of Colleen’s books that will make you love and cherish every single word.

If I had a physical copy of this book you can bet your butt it would be full of post-its to mark my favorite parts. FULL, I’m telling you—but ya girl is broke so there’s that. There were so many times I had to stop and take deep breaths to stop my heart from jumping out of my body and flying over to Colleen’s house so it could give her a hug for the beautiful moments and punch her in the face for making it hurt. If that doesn’t sound like the most amazing experience to you then we cannot be friends and if we are already friends then excuse me, how are we even friends?!

Anyway, you get my point. This book is incredible, breathtaking, magnificent and more so you should stop whatever you’re doing and pick up this book now.

ADULT BOOK REVIEW: Out today from @atriabooks, ALL YOUR PERFECTS by @colleenhoover! I gave this book 4 stars. There are things I wasn’t a fan of in the story, but what drew me in was reading about two imperfect people working through their own kind of perfect. It wasn’t always pretty or perfect. No marriage is. The reality of the issues in this story; self worth tied to being a wife, a women & a mother, emotionally surprised me. Yep, I straight up cried in parts of this story. I’m not normally an adult book reader, but this book is one that made me feel a wide range of emotions right along side the characters. At the heart of this story is a realistic relationship made up of two people who love each other, lost their way & fight for what they have as the figure out how to work through all the things life throws at them.

Colleen Hoover is a must-read for me. She has such great stories to tell.

I was going to try to write my review without spoilers but it's really hard to keep them all to myself. So if you think this is a problem for you, please stop reading now.

In All Your Perfects, Colleen Hoover deals with the topic of infertility, a medical problem rarely touched in romance novels.

Our couple has been trying to get pregnant just short of a year after they get married. Their story is told in past and present scenes.

Beginning with the way they meet, the story captures the audience and it doesn't let you go until the last page is done.

Most of us (romance readers) love the idea of an HEA. We love the idea that true love can conquer all. In All Your Perfects, we learned that love alone sometimes is not enough.

Quinn and Graham deal with a problem that neither can fix. After meeting on the worst day of their lives, a few months later they meet again under different circumstances. This time, they won't let the other one go without a fight. Fast and furious, their love for each commences. During their courtship and their first year of marriage, everything is perfect. It's when they try for a pregnancy that their perfect life starts falling apart. After Graham is tested and told that his sperm is perfect, the pressure falls on Quinn's shoulders. As a couple, they try numerous ways for a baby. Every single one fails, leaving their bank account completely drained. It also takes Quinn on a road to depression without a way back. She's unable to express her feelings of devastation and loneliness. They stopped communicating and you start wishing for a miracle to save their marriage. But maybe love is not enough.

No matter how much you love someone-the capacity of that love is meaningless if it outweighs your capacity to forgive.

All Your Perfects is an emotional rollercoaster with plenty of guilt, depression, loneliness, love and hope to go around.

With CoHo's writing, I was able to feel what Quinn was experiencing. Her marriage and love for her husband and for herself had changed over the years. She felt she was not enough because she couldn't procreate. Unfortunately, we live in a society where procreation is a must. I can't begin to tell you how many times I've been asked how many kids I have and how come I don't have any. Not only do I think the question is rude when you don't know someone well but I think that we shouldn't see women as a uterus alone. We're more than that. We are professionals. We can choose not to have kids. We can choose to have ten. We can choose to marry or stay single. We can choose to love our jobs or travel instead. It's up to us. It is time we tell society to mind their own business.

Now, why didn't I give it five stars? Well, I had problems with two scenes were Graham came out as a douche. It was hard for me to forgive and forget.

Many thanks to Atria for providing me with an early copy of All Your Perfects in exchange for an honest review.

Cliffhanger: No
