I picked up Not Your Average Cup of Joe because of all the good reviews I read. The reviews are well-deserved. This book is interesting, bordering on inspiring and the writer’s style is engaging. The focus always remains on the positive and the author places the responsibility for one’s successes fully on one’s shoulders, thereby hitting home a crucial message. We can’t get stuck in our past or present negative circumstances. We must continue to positively strive with purposeful actions and intentions. The author provides a very practical framework to rise above being “average.” He avoids being preachy or impractical. For that reason, I give this book 5 stars.
