Against the Night is a wonderful addition to this series!!! I have liked Johnnie Riggs from the first time you get introduced to him in Against the Law, and he didn’t disappoint me in this one. I’m going try my best to get this review out without giving away tooo much of this story, because it is the surprises along the way that make it down right awesome!!

Johnnie goes to the Kitty Cat Club chasing a bail jumper, and the last thing he expects to find in there is a woman that he can’t forget. There is something different about Angel Fontaine, and he will find out what it is.

Amy Brewer is a kindergarten teacher from Michigan, but this summer she is posing as the stripper Angel Fontaine to find her sister who has been missing for the last two months. She is instantly attracted to Johnnie, but doesn’t want him for those reasons. She finds out he is a private investigator, and enlist his help to find Rachael. There is something about Amy that calls to Johnnie way more than she did as the stripper Angel. He has decided to help her, but he has also decided she will be in his bed and soon.

This investigation into finding Rachael is not an easy one, and it becomes hard to believe she is still alive. They have more than one major obstacle on their way to getting answers. Like in the other books just when you think things are going to be ok things go all to hell. This is an edge of your seat story. I will admit I couldn’t put it down until it was complete. These two are tough to get to HEA and you honestly thing their stubbornness will keep them from it. But LAWD are they smoking hot together!!!!!! They burn up not only the sheets, but the screen on your e-reader!! I hope y’all enjoy this book as much as I have! I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book in this series!!!
