I really enjoyed this book. I'm not an avid Shayla Black fan, but it's not the first book by her that I've read. Two damaged people falling in love and then falling apart. It's a story that is easy to get wrong, but Shayla did a great job here. The tension, the conflict, the mysteries, all of them were fantastic. I was really happy with how it all turned out at the end, with Cutter realizing that he couldn't marry Brea to take care of her baby. I'm also interested in how all this stuff with One-Mile is going to pan out. I don't know if Brea and One-Mile are going to get their own book, but I'd read it.

This was an enjoyable read from an author whose books I always like to read. At first I wasn't very keen on Cutter because the whole "need to take care of the pseudo-sister" just seemed ridiculous. I enjoyed the interactions between the hero/heroine.

We find out that everything is not what it seems. Cutter has a secret and commitments that have followed him from his home town to LA that could jeopardize his relationship with Shealyn.

Shealyn has been hurt in the past and she is full of insecurities in trusting Cutter with her feelings for him. As they both try to work through their issues, a looming danger hangs over their heads. Can their relationship weather the storm, or will they lose each other for good. A must read to see if these two indeed succeed in finding their HEA

Shayla's writing has the ability to transport you into a world you never saw coming! The words, the descriptions, the characters - they all become 'real' in your mind and reality shifts for a little while, and it's amazing! THIS is reason I love to read, to get lost in another life, to live through a writer's world and words. What could be better!

I’ve heard of Shayla Black for ages but somehow I never read any of her books. When Devoted to Pleasure (Devoted Lovers #1) was offered for review I figured it was time and I’m glad I took it.
Cutter is such a good guy. Sexy as all get out, alpha to the max and yet downright likable. Shealyn is so far from what you’d expect of a television star. She’s sweet and likable but fame has added to her natural guardedness. She’s reluctant to share too much even with the man she’s hired to help her with a blackmailer.

Cutter is the consummate professional and knows better than to become entangled with a client but Shealyn is just too perfect. Everything about her draws him in, except that he knows she’s not telling him the whole story. She so far from what he expected. Their shared southern roots just make her that much more the woman of his dreams.

I loved Cutter and Shealyn and became invested in their story. I always like some suspense in my romance and this book was perfect for that. The dangerous situation the two find themselves in has the perfect amount of “running for their lives” and “falling for each other”. While I had my suspicions of “who dun it” I was still guessing to the end.

This was my first Black book but will not be my last!

I think I may be burned out on the whole bodyguard starlet trope. Yes, that's a thing and my Kindle library can prove it. I can't come up with what exactly didn't work for me about Devoted to Pleasure, but I think it really comes down to my own distaste for pure alpha males.

Enjoyable romance between bodyguard Cutter and the actress he's protecting, Shealyn. I always enjoy Shayla's books and this one is no exception. Great romantic suspense

I love this new series! This is everything that you could want in a book. It has suspense, swoon-worthy romance, awesome characters, and a happily ever after. I can’t wait fir the next book!

Shaelyn is really a hometown girl at hear, but her path to fame has been set. Cutter feels the need to protect and serve, to the point of pushing his own needs completely away. The heat that sparks with these two is intense, but can they learn to trust each other enough to make things work? Cutter has to make some tough choices about finally taking a stand for himself, and Shaelyn has her own demons to fight. Lots of heat and action keep this story moving.

Great read with a twist that you won’t see coming. Shealyn & Cutter are perfect for each other and has an instant connection. When Shealyn is in danger, Cutter will do anything to protect her. If you like an instant love with amazing characters and a twist you want see coming then this book you must read.

A steamy bodyguard romance perfect for fans of the genre. The addition of a bit of intrigue helps make this romance trope feel fresh. While the book does standalone, you will want to continue following this new series by Shayla Black.

Devoted to Pleasure was a quick and easy read for me. I loved the idea of this story and couldn't wait to dive into it. I thought the characters were intriguing and couldn't wait to see what would happen next with them. I loved the chemistry between Cutter and Shealyn. These to certainly steamed up the pages and left you begging for more.

I think this series is off to a terrific start. Devoted to Pleasure was well written and entertaining. It had just the right amount of drama, suspense and sexy good times. I thought this was a good read to spend my afternoon getting swept up in. Devoted to Pleasure is my first book by this author and definitely won't be my last.

Shayla Black has done it again. This was the perfect beginning of a new dimension with old characters from the Wicked Lovers series and the new ones to fall in love with like Cutter and Shealyn. Alpha bodyguard set to help the bombshell actress, Cutter is another hot man that Shayla has a knack of creating that the reader only wished was real man. The intrigue, passion and hot sex scenes are the norm but Shayla also adds beautifully written characters and a storyline that I could not put down. Once again Shayla Black does not disappoint!!

Only she’s keeping information from him and thinks he’ll only guard her at the drop off. Cutter takes his job seriously and stays by her side the whole time.
When they drop the money off, someone tries to kill them and now Cutter is trying to figure out who is blackmailing her and wants her dead. With jealousy from from Tower, the press constantly hounding them , and a killer on the loose, Cutter will do anything to keep her safe. But when the truth comes out about Cutter and his bride to be, Shealyn kicks him out and doesn’t give him a chance to explain. The danger comes knocking at her door. Can Cutter save her in time or will he lose the only woman he has ever loved?
The story was a little hard to get interested in at first but then it keeps you hooked until the very end. Two people afraid to let others in their heart. A blackmailer. Misunderstanding and of course all the drama of Hollywood. The sex is smoking hot and ending will shock you.
