Taming the Vampire:
Liz is a demon hunter. Jack is a vampire and they have to work together. Liz and Jack seemed not to really get along or like each other . Nut their chemistry was hot. But Liz and Jack need to form a ritual to become stronger . Liz and Jack have “playful” fights even though they “hate” each other. The ritual that must be performed so they could battle the threat. As they both love Boston and Boston is being threatened.
Bound By The Vampire:
Evan and Celia are opposites. Evan is rude, badass yet a hot vampire. Evan doesn't care for the faeries because of what the had done to Evan’s maker a while ago. Evan is a vampire. Celia is quiet, and reserved very unlike Evan and she is part fairy and a spell caster. Helping Celia is not easy for Evan. Also Celia is a good friend to Liz. Celia is being chased by Hawk who is a famous assassin and he is trying to kill her. The only person/vampire powerful enough to help Celia is Evan.
Claiming The Vampire:

Jessica is forbidden to deal with vampires, they are not to be trusted. Jessica and Hawk have a strong chemistry between them but she is engaged to Prince Kel through an arranged marriage. Jessica doesn’t know what to do especially about her feelings for Hawk or who to trust.
I really enjoyed all three books. There are two novellas- Taming The Vampire and bound By The Vampire. But Claiming The Vampire is a full length novel. I loved how the main characters were carried through to the next book. The last book included the previous four main characters and I liked that a lot. I did feel there was a little too much sex for me and didn’t need to be so detailed. This book included: light fae, dark fae, prince and a princess, vampires, demon hunter, a spell caster, hot chemistry, drama, evil doings, twists, suspense, danger, and alot more. I liked the plot and the pace of all three books. I also felt all three books were well written. I also chuckled at times while reading these books. I liked the characters a lot and the ins and outs and I recommend these books.
Wow! I didn't think these books would take that turn but I guess the cover should've clued me in. These books are hot! Like so hot I thought my e-reader would catch fire in my hands. I loved the vampire aspect but it did start to feel a little like vampire erotica after a while. I don't mind sex scenes, I like them in the books I read because it feels more natural and real, I mean, people have sex, duh. But I don't like when the sex over shadows the plot and I felt that sometimes, this is what happened. So while, yes, I did enjoy these stories and am so glad that NetGalley approved me, I think they could've been better if they'd focused a little more on plot and a little less on the sexy times.
Will go live on my blog: 6/16/2018
Book 1 - Taming the Vampire :Demon hunter Liz Marlowe and vampire Jack Morgan have hated each other from the moment they met. But when a powerful enemy threatens their beloved city of Boston, they form a reluctant alliance. It's supposed to be temporary - just one night, in fact. But as the tension between them builds to the breaking point, neither is prepared for what happens next.
Book 2 - Bound by the Vampire :Celia Albright, an eighth-blood Fae and a spellcaster, is having a very bad day. She's being targeted by an unknown assassin, and she goes to the only person in Boston who might be powerful enough to help her: vampire Evan Grant. Soon, Celia and Evan find themselves caught up in an adventure neither of them expected - and an attraction neither of them is ready for.
Book 3 - Claiming the Vampire :Fae princess Jessica Greenwood has never questioned that her duty to her people comes before her own wishes. To avert a war between dimensions, she agrees to an arranged marriage with a stranger - the Dark Fae prince. Then she meets the mysterious vampire Hawk, who challenges all her beliefs and tempts her with a longing she's never even imagined. When I started reading I couldn't put it down.Chloe is magnifysent writer.I cannot wait to read more of her books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this books
A solid set of stories by Ms. Hart. I enjoyed all three stories and would love to read more by this talented author. Excellent story building. Thanks!
This is the first 3 books in the series. The first two are novellas and the last is a novel which brings the characters together, each of these reads draw you into another world will Vampires and Fae. The stories are fast paced with plenty of suspense and drama and the chemistry is steamy. I really liked it.
Reasonably well written and fun, but nothing too exciting or unexpected.
I was a little disappointed by these three books - the Author is usually much better ...............
Each story had a good premise but did not follow through .......they could have been so interesting .
Firstly the main characters are supposed to dislike each other and with little story/fanfare they are made for each other - where was the believable story , how can having sex with someone you hate suddenly equate to being soulmates ???
The stories did improve a little in books 2 and 3 which is why I gave 3 stars - and hope that this is just a blip .
I prefer my books to be character driven with excellent world building and a romantic/sexual element to draw the reader in ........these did not draw me in unfortunately .
I was given an arc of this book by the Publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review
I received a copy of Blood and Absinthe Books 1-3 by Chloe Hart from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I was intrigued by the summary and really wanted to like these novels (books 1-3), but it was a chore at times to keep reading.
Each of the storylines could have been pulled together better and the characters (especially the main character from book 1, Liz - ugh, she was a one dimensional shrew) developed better. There were flashes of real goodness, but then the stories would get bogged down or off track a little and kill that momentum.
I would rate Blood and Absinthe Books 1-3 by Chloe Hart three stars.
