I love Colleen Hoover’s books because they’re all so real. She manages to nail every emotion, action, and moment so perfectly that her books hit you right in the feels every single time.

This book moves back and forth between the “Now” and “Then”. “Now” tells us the story of Quinn and Graham in present day and the struggles they’re experiencing in their marriage. “Then” brings us back into time to about 10 years prior and walks us through the couple’s relationship at the beginning.

All Your Perfects opens up dialogue around societal expectations, and how even the most mundane and traditional questions can hurt people. I was watching Don’t Trust the B**** in Apartment 23, and one of the characters was pretending to be in a wheelchair during thanksgiving. As they went around the table, everyone was saying they were thankful for their family, their friends, yams, and this girl suddenly snapped and asked why people weren’t thankful for their legs and their ability to walk. All Your Perfects raises a similar question. Why are the struggles we face only up for conversation behind closed doors? Why is it taboo to be open about the obstacles we face? What do we take for granted on a daily basis?

I don’t even know if Colleen Hoover thinks about the rest of the world when she writes her books, but this novels hits on everyday, human struggles, and how much work and effort is needed to sustain a relationship with another human being for the the rest of your life. It’s so easy to say you’ll make a commitment to another person, but executing that commitment in both the good and bad times is so hard because as much as we try to be, we are not always perfect.

I read this book three months ago, and just thinking about it again has me in tears, and I just can’t. When I get my physical copy in the next few days, I’m doing a reread, because it was just that good. If you’re picking up this book, get ready for some good laughs, a lot of tears, and a love story that will change the way you see and express love.

As we move from the past to the present, and back again, this book packs an emotional punch at every turn. Quinn and Graham meet under the most bizarre of circumstances and, from that, grows an unexpected relationship. But, as can sometimes happen, life is not content to remain stagnant and circumstances beyond their control wreak havoc with their plans for happily ever after.

This book, as Ms. Hoover's stories have done in the past, touched me deeply. And, even though I couldn't necessarily relate to the issues being faced by the characters, I could definitely sympathize. My heart understood their emotions and both celebrated their joys and broke with their sorrows. This is a compelling story. One that shows the even the best of marriages can be difficult, can challenge you no matter how much you love, and can push you to the breaking point.

This rollercoaster of a story had my heart leaping out of my chest and had me feeling anxious not knowing how it would all end. Once again Colleen Hoover manages to write a story that gripped me and held on tight from beginning to end...and, once again, she's left me with a huge book hangover.

There are certain books that come along that reinforce my love of reading, this is one such book. I wasn’t very far into All Your Perfects when I knew that it was going to be special. It has all of the unique qualities that I have come to expect from this author. She pulled me in, kept me completely invested, and gave me one of the best reading experiences that I’ve had this year.

This is a truly captivating story that had my heart soaring one minute and then plummeting into my stomach in the next. It is a raw, honest, real, and utterly heartbreaking portrayal of the devastating struggle that many married couples have to face. I was torn between wanting to devour the story as quickly as possible in order to find out what was going to become of these characters, and wanting to slowly savor every word to make it last longer.

Told almost entirely from Quinn’s perspective in chapters that alternate between “Then” and “Now,” readers are able to witness the various stages in Quinn and Graham’s relationship. This back and forth drew me into their story. I was able to see how they met, the sweet, romantic moments when they first connected, to the profound love that developed between them. On the other side, it was these early, lighter moments of new love that helped to provide me with a reprieve from the heartbreaking reality that they found themselves in the “Now.”

I was rooting for these characters from the very beginning. I felt a special connection to them throughout their entire journey. I cared for them. I laughed with them. I cried with them. Ultimately, I wanted the best for them. While their love seemed perfect and unwavering, they weren’t perfect. They faltered, took missteps, and had regrets. Their issues weren’t sugar-coated or miraculously resolved for the sake of a happy ending. Hoover took her time and told the story in the most authentic way possible.

All Your Perfects is a beautiful, hopeful, deeply moving love story that will not soon be forgotten. It will definitely be gracing my list of favorite books of the year…and of all time.

Confession... this is my first Colleen Hoover book. I can't give a good reason why I've not read her books before--I've been surrounded by them for years--but for whatever reason, this was the one.

I've sort of known that CH is more of a Young Adult, New Adult writer and I've sort of fallen out of favour with that genre. I'm happy to say that this is not a YA/NA type of book! It is way more grown up than I was expecting and I was pleasantly surprised!

This story is about a couple going through fertility issues. This is an important point. I don't think I would suggest this for couples going through similar issues because the way the couple deal with their infertility are the darkest moments of the book and I can imagine that it might be unsettling for those in similar circumstances. That said, I think CH handled it brilliantly. It was sad and frustrating and maddening and all those things. However, CH was able to keep the story from getting too dismal by interchanging the chapters between Now and Then, where Then was when the couple were just getting to know each other and things were so hopeful and sweet. It was this juxtaposition that also made the Now chapters more meaningful and dark as we understood exactly what was lost in the relationship due to the infertility.

I really liked this book and the way it was told. I was cheering for the couple in the Then chapters and sad for them in the Now chapters. After reading this, I can understand what all the buzz is about with Hoover's books and it makes me want to read more, but I'll still try to choose ones that follow more adult subject matter like this.

Well, folks, I feel absolutely gutted after reading this story, but it's carefully balanced with a significant amount of pleasure to have a 5 star read. I just loved Graham and Quinn 's story so much. Lots of romance and heartache too. Something that I know many friends of mine have or are struggling with- when life is not exactly what you were expecting. You will fall in love with Graham. I know that I did!

3.75 ⭐.

I enjoyed this story. I believe it is important to have characters that struggle through things that are very real to some people so everyone may understand a little bit what someone in a similar situation is potentially experiencing.

However, at times I felt Quinn to be self deprecating in several different situations. She was able to talk about her problems with her sister, but not her husband (I understand this is how some deal with this, I just felt the core "issue" in their relationship was their communication, or lack thereof).

I feel that several situations in this novel wrapped up a little too quickly and a little too neatly. And the epilogue didn't do too much to change my opinion of that.

Overall, I enjoyed this novel despite its short comings. There are several moments that made me smile, and laugh. The beauty in this novel is that it holds true to the very first meeting of Quinn and Graham throughout.

I do recommend this read!

All Your Perfects is not your typical women's fiction, contemporary, romance novel. This is a heartbreaking, unforgettable story with well-written characters, and an impactful message for men and women.

Told from Quinn's perspective, All Your Perfects, features themes about marriage, and communication. The synopsis is vague, so I'm going to keep my review ambiguous as well.

The chapters flip back and forth between the past (How Quinn and Graham met and fell in love) and present (7 years into their marriage). I read the "past" chapters with a smile on my face, happy that these two have found each other. Then, the next chapter would be in the present where their entire marriage is in jeopardy, and I felt my heart aching for them.

Quinn and Graham's characters are well-balanced, dynamic, relatable. I fell in love with Quinn and Graham.

“If you only shine light on your flaws, all your perfects will dim.”

As a married person I deeply appreciate how Hoover weaves a story showing how hard marriage is. There are many ways to derail a marriage, and it takes a lot of work to keep things on track.

I don't often cry while reading a book, yet this gripping narrative made me shed tears numerous times.

When I saw the cover I rolled my eyes thinking this would be a cheesy romance novel. I have a new-found respect for Hoover and can't wait to read more of her work.

Poignant, emotional, beautiful, All Your Perfects, is a superb summer read. Highly recommend! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I just finished this book and was going to wait before I wrote a review...but I just couldn’t. This is such a raw and beautiful portrayal of a marriage and some of the challenges and struggles couples may go through. It went back and forth between “then” and “now and I found myself laughing and smiling during one chapter then crying during the next. The writing style and story were so good I didn’t want it to end. Graham although he had his faults was such an incredible character, one that I will remember for a long time. I felt such a connection to Quinn and can relate to some of the struggles she faced - wanting something that is completely out of your control hurts so much. 💜 This book though left me with such a feeling of hope I absolutely loved it! .

Overall I rated this book 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟/5! This is the first book I’ve read by @colleenhoover and I cannot wait to read them ALL!

Thank you again to NetGalley, Simon & Schuster Canada, Atria Books & Colleen Hoover for the opportunity to read this advanced copy!

This was my first read by Colleen Hoover and it surely will not be the last. So many emotions while reading this book, happiness, anger, love, sadness, exasperation. This book brought me to tears so many times, and let me tell you , this has not happened in a while. Graham and Quinn were lovable characters. Book was very well written and could not put it down, I felt part of the book and their family.

Thank you netgalley, the publisher and Colleen Hoover for such a delightful book. Colleen Hoover I am one of your fans from now on.

So frustratingly good. What happens after the wedding? The gap between the HEA and epilogue? Is everything as it seems?

Quinn and Graham meet under unusual circumstances but the connection is undeniable. Graham is unassuming and affable. His most attractive quality is how confident he is in his love for Quinn. Surrounded by this love and complete care, Quinn heals from a bad relationship and is quickly swept away.

I enjoyed the switch between the then and now timelines as they set up each scenario and provide relevant details. Quinn and Graham’s seemingly fulfilling relationship is dissected in many ways. All facets are laid bare, no pain too raw, no emotion too deep to delve into. Hardly anything is glossed over or overblown.

This story balances the rainbows and thunderstorms in a marriage. The issues are not uncommon, neither are the reactions. But the words capture your attention.

This was my first Colleen Hoover book and it will certainly not be my last. I absolutely loved these characters and fell head over heels for her writing. This book was sad and hard to read at times, but I finished it fairly quickly and really, really enjoyed it. However, I think there needs to be a trigger warning for infertility issues because there is no way I would be able to read this book AT ALL if that was something I was struggling with in any form.
Also...is Graham definitely one of the best and most loving husbands ever or what?! Everyone makes mistakes but holy smokes the ending was amazing.

This book reminded me a bit of a more intense and more passionate (maybe?) version of TJR's After I Do, which I also loved. It was so great to read about a married couple compared to people who are just meeting for the first time (though I loved those parts of this book and I adore books like that in general).

I actually get butterflies in my stomach before I start a Colleen Hoover book because I know that it’s going to be more than just a story, it’s going to be an experience.

Two people, a life changing moment and a fortune cookie. A heartwarming and heartbreaking look at love and marriage as we follow Quinn and Graham from the time they meet to present in “Then” and “Now” chapters. I cried and cheered for these two as I hoped that their amazing love for one another would triumph over their imperfect marriage.

When two people have their worlds shatter, it doesn’t seem so bad because they have each other for support, but then life brings more pain, and just when I thought my heart couldn’t take anymore, it was ripped out and stomped on again and again...at least that’s how it felt, that’s how much compassion I had for these characters. I literally wanted to scream at the unfairness. Phew, wasn’t sure I was going to survive this book!

This book seriously toyed with all of my emotions! It struck every cord my heart has. I laughed, I cried, I got angry and repeat. I can definitely see why Colleen Hoover has such a large and passionate fanbase. I can see, just from this book, that her storytelling is faultless, her characters are loveable and her writing style is without imperfections.

All Your Perfects tells the story of Quinn and Graham. A couple whos first meeting is of unusual circumstances. Call it fate, call it circumstance, divine intervention, whatever you chose, it's apparent from that first meeting that they have an undeniable connection. The story of All Your Perfects is delivered between the past and present, then and now. Hoover gives us just enough each chapter that keeps us hanging on. Making the book nearly impossible to put down. Also, she gives us a character who is so damn swoon-worthy. If I could marry a fictional character I would marry Graham.

All Your Perfects made me an instant Colleen Hoover fan! I cannot wait to devour her past work and will eagerly await her future novels. All Your Perfects is the perfect combination of romance, drama, and emotion. A reading experience that will leave you adding Hoover to your auto-buy list!

This was definitely one of the most heart-wrenching books I’ve read this year. Colleen Hoover delivers yet again a completely unique reading experience. Hoover has such a talent for taking difficult subject matter and creating such a realistic and raw story line. I know that many readers like to have trigger warnings before going into her books, but I personally enjoy going into them blind. So I won’t be going into too much detail in this review.

The book centers on the marriage of main character, Quinn, and her husband, Graham. This in itself was unique to me in a romance novel. So many of the romance books I read are about how two people came together and how they fell in love. Now while how Quinn and Graham fell in love is shared within the story, and plays an important role, it’s not really the main focus.

I think Hoover’s books can be so emotionally draining because even if you’ve never experienced what the characters are going through, her words are able to put you in that frame of mind. That’s what I love most about her books.  So before you pick this one up, know that you are in for an emotional roller coaster but when you get to the end it is absolutely worth it.

**I received an eARC of this book from #NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.**

This was my second Colleen Hoover book and my first introduction to the way she can rip out your heart and delicately mend it at the same time. This book was a heart-wrenching story about a marriage. It was painfully realistic and it really got to me. It dealt with something really important that I haven’t seen presented too often in popular novels and I really loved how she was able to express the emotions that come along with specific hardships.

“If you only shine light on your flaws, all your perfects will dim.”

When I first saw the title of this book, I thought the grammatical error was a little odd, but after I finished reading, it was the warmest, fuzziest feeling of understanding. The theme of this novel and the execution of the message was truly beautiful.

The book was incredibly written, and the style of the “now” and “then” intervals made this seemingly simple story exceptionally compelling and original, after all, this book is just about a marriage. Colleen Hoover makes this book about a marriage, an incredible book. She touches on so many painful subjects and laces the emotions together with them with precision and grace. Some of Quinn and Graham’s thoughts and dialogues broke my heart into pieces. A line that stood out to me, that I wrote down, and will probably remember forever was “No matter how much you love someone – the capacity of that love is meaningless if it outweighs your capacity to forgive”.

This book was simple but exceptionally powerful. I’m beyond impressed with this book.

Thank you NetGalley and Simon and Schuster for giving me an advanced copy for review purposes. This is my first Colleen Hoover and I now understand why she is a popular author. She is a talented writer and created this beautiful with Quinn and Graham. The subject matter is something that is so present in couple’s lives but is rarely addressed. This book covers it tremendously well. Amazing book.

I believe this to be CoHo's best work to date. It really hit home.

This was heart wrenching, emotional and at times left me feeling raw. The beauty of this book is that it can bring you joy and then shatter you in the next chapter. I genuinely found myself sick to my stomach at on point in reading this. I felt dread and disappointment deep in the pit of my stomach and was apprehensive about what would happen next. If found the story to be very emotionally evoking and realistic. I was not brought to tears at any point throughout this book but many other emotions were drawn out of me. The emotions that were evoked were ones that I had not felt in a while and it made reading this book feel like a whole new experience. This is a tale someone can experience and loose themselves in.

The story follows Quinn and Graham and their troubled relationship. The book flips back and forth from the past to their current situation. Having the book switch from then to now I find keeps the reader engaged and anxious to read the next chapter to see where the story leads from chapter to chapter. I ended up read this novel in a single sitting and got on here to write my review almost immediately.
