We love westerns around here and Johnstone is one of our favorites. My husband has read every book he has written. I don’t think the books are as good as when William was alive and writing on his own but we are hanging in determined to read all his books This one was a good one great start to the series

At the end of a hard day, reward yourself with a Johnstone book. Whether set in the Old West, like this one or the early mountain settlements; you'll always lose yourself in these books. The good guys win in the end, but the story along the way takes you into the character's life and times. If you love westerns, you need to be reading the Johnstone books!

I loved it but of course I knew I would because of the 2 authors who wrote it, their books all was pulls me into the story , with that said I want to think netgalley for letting me and review it

Pitchfork Press is an awesome to the Flintlock series. I recommend it and am looking forward to more in the series. I give it four stars.
