What a delightful addition to a very good series. I loved the first book and all the others to that follow in this series. This is book 8 and it is fine to jump in here but dont be shocked when you run to a retailers to grab up the entire series.
Thanks to the publisher and netgalley for the arc of this book. The opinions are my

Three and a half stars: Another fun installment that features great food, a sweet wedding and a murder.

Jules is busy with the latest renovations of her beloved bakery Torte. She is also trying to pull off planning a secret wedding for her mother and the Professor. Plus, Carlos is coming to town with his son. How will she manage to juggle it all? Just when everything seems to be going smoothly, a poisoned glass of wine turns up at the wedding, and it seems the wine may have been meant for Jules. Who would want to murder Jules and why?

What I Liked:
*Even though this is the eighth book in this series, it still delights. I love catching up with the cast, reading about the delicious food and trying to solve the murder. If you enjoy cozies, this is a series worth checking out.
*The story revolves around the secret wedding that Jules is planning for her mother. I loved reading about all the wedding preparations, so much fun!
*Carlos is back, and this time he introduces Jules to his son. I am thrilled with the direction the romance is taking, and I have my fingers crossed that things will settle out in a positive direction. No more love triangle!
*Lance also returns, and as usual he has a flair for the dramatic and he proves to be highly entertaining. I loved exploring Lance’s past and learning about his family and his upbringing.
*The murder itself was interesting. I wasn’t sure who the culprit was and what the motives were. I was guessing until the end.
*As usual, there are some tantalizing recipes at the end. It is totally worth reading this series to absorb the wonderful food descriptions and for the recipes!
And The Not So Much:
*I felt like the foreshadowing was a little heavy handed in this one. I don’t like when too much is given away too early.
*A lot of time is devoted to red herring suspects, which made it easy to ascertain that they weren’t the real culprits.
*Once the murder was revealed, there was a lot of supposition and I found it hard to believe how the dots were connected.

Tell Death Do Us Tart was another fun installment in a solid cozy series. I love the small town setting, the characters, the food and the recipes. If you want an entertaining cozy series, this is one to add to your list. I have enjoyed each and every book in the series, and I am eager for more.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own, and I was not compensated for this review.

Till Death Do Us Tart by Ellie Alexander is the eighth tale in A Bakeshop Mystery series. Jules Capshaw has a lot of on her plate. She is busy planning a surprise wedding for her mother and the Professor. Everyone in Ashland, Oregon is in on the surprise except the couple getting married. The nuptials will take place Uva, the vineyard that Jules now owns shares in along with her estranged husband, Carlos (and the horrible Richard Lord). Carlos will be arriving in Ashland along with his son, Romero in two days. It is a Midsummer Night’s Dream wedding and guests have been asked to wear Elizabethan themed attire. The renovations of Torte are still ongoing. The downstairs will be complete within the week and then they can begin work upstairs. As if that is not enough, Lance returns to town and he has a problem. He believes his brother, Leo is poisoning their father and that someone is following him. He would like to invite Leo and his entourage to the wedding (oh no) as part of his plan. Then Lance’s father passes away under suspicious circumstances and a wedding guest collapses from poisoned wine. That glass of wine, though, was meant for Jules. Are the two cases connected? Murder, mayhem and the makeover of Torte are on the menu in Till Death Do Us Tart.

Return to Ashland, Oregon in the latest A Bakeshop Mystery. While Till Death Do Us Tart is the eighth book in the series, it can be read alone. The author does provide the necessary background details for readers. Till Death Do Us Tart is nicely written and it has a fast pace. Ellie Alexander has a conversational writing style that makes her books easy to read and enjoy. There are many cozy moments with baking, friendship, the vineyard, touring the town and the wedding. Carlos is back in Jules life and the attraction between them in undeniable. Jules is falling back in love with Carlos, but she is not sure if he would be happy in Ashland. While I liked the mystery, I thought it was a cinch to solve. I would have liked a better wrap up of the mystery at the end. I wanted more facts and less assumption. My rating for Till Death Do Us Tart is 4 out of 5 stars (I liked it). Many delectable delights are mentioned in the book. They will have your mouth watering (there are recipes at the end of the book). We are left with a small cliffhanger at the end. Readers will have to wait for the next A Bakeshop Mystery to discover what happens next with Jules. Till Death Do Us Tart is a light-hearted, charming cozy mystery that will leave you smiling.

Till Death Do Us Part by Ellie Alexander is the 8th cozy in her Bakeshop Mystery Series. Jules Capshaw has returned to work as a pastry chef at her family's bakeshop, Torte, in the small town of Ashland, Oregon. She's planning a surprise Midsummer Night's Dream Wedding for her mother and Ashland's lead police detective. The wedding is disguised as a grand reopening party for Uva, the wineyard where Jules is part owner. Meanwhile her estranged husband and his preteen son are arriving from Spain, Torte is in the process of a major remodeling, and her close friend Lance is involved in a nasty family feud over control of his father's estate and business.

When a wedding guest dies after drinking a poisoned glass of wine meant for Jules and Lance's ailing father dies under suspicious circumstances, Jules starts looking for answers. Who was trying to kill her? Did someone kill Lance's father to get control of his business/estate? Could she and Carlos save their marriage? This fast paced cozy has murder, suspense, and romance . Ellie Alexander has another winner!

This was a very sweet book. Once again, I decided to jump into an already established series with no regret. Yes, it was a little obvious but no spoilers that I'm aware of were given. It's nice when you don't know if Jules has been estranged from her husband the entire series or not. It's written in such a way that this book easily stands alone if you're a casual reader and I'm sure if you've been reading the series from the beginning that it is the book you were hoping for. I also appreciated how this sleuth has a positive relationship (mostly) with the police department. Ms. Alexander did a wonderful job of keeping the reader open to different options as to who the culprit was but I'll admit, I did figure out who fairly early. I wasn't positive in my choice though. The surprise came at the end with the motivation. I have to admit that Lance may be one of my favorite literary characters in a current series. I found him absolutely delightful. Recipes for Pie Fries, Greek Chicken Sheet Pan Lunch, Chili Verde, Grilled Black Bread Sandwiches, Triple Berry Coffee Cake, Coconut Cold Brew included after the book's conclusion.

Thank you to St. Martin's Press, NetGalley, and Ellie Alexander for the opportunity to read this book and share my honest opinions with others.

Jules Capshaw's bakery is extremely busy with streams of tourists during the town of Ashland, Oregan's peak season. However, she can't pass up the chance to throw a surprise wedding with an Elizabethan "Midsummer's Eve" theme for her mom. This includes supplying a huge amount of unique, custom desserts for the reception. It's all worth if to Jules, but then things get complicated when her best friend Lance invites some extra guest to the celebration which leads to danger for Jules and another wedding guest.

This book is the eighth in the Bakeshop Mystery series. I've only read one other book in the series that was much earlier in the series. I had enjoyed that book but was struck by the fact Jules had an ideal, although not perfect, husband in Carlos, but continued to push him away. Now five books later, she is still doing the same thing and I'm still puzzled. There isn't another man involved this time, just her own doubts. Carlos is continually showering her with affection, so hopefully Jules sees this in future books before it's too late. Missing the most recent books also left me at a disadvantage when it came to the character of Richard Lord. I never understood the details of how and why Jules and Carlos became partners in the winery with such an arrogant and shady man as Richard.

The plot of the book itself is interesting with plenty of suspects. The author gives clues as to the solution of the crime, but unlike Jules and her best friend Lance, I wasn't able to identify the killer. I liked the suspense and the unexpected solution. Lance definitely adds some drama to the book and she and Jules make a great team who won't rest until they get to the bottom of all the suspicious things going on in their beloved town. Fans of the series or of author Cleo Coyle will enjoy the latest by Ellie Alexander. 3.5 stars

Author keeps up the pace with this installment. Very good series with a very likable lead female character. Not a fan of all the employees in the bakery, they aren't developed enough for my taste, but none of them are interesting and likable enough to want to know more about.

Romance, family and murder blend into another wonderful tale in the A Bake Shop Mysteries series. A magnificent surprise wedding and the return of Carlos are the highlights that bring joy to the Till Death Do Us Tart, the latest book in the series. The family that Jules and her mother have created at Torte expands by one when Carlos brings his teen-aged son to meet Jules. In the midst of the happiness of the wedding and reunion, a tragic event tears Lance to pieces, so naturally he turns to his already overloaded friend to investigate a possible murder. The amazing characters are the thing that keep bringing me back to this delightful series. The mystery, unlike the great characters, did not meet Ellie Alexander’s usual high standard. It was good, better than many, just not as good a puzzle as she usually brings us.
I excited to receive an ARC of Till Death do Us Tart via NetGalley and will spread the word to friends and follows. While the mystery wasn’t my favorite, the book was still awesome.

Till Death Do Us Tart is the eighth book in the Bakeshop Mystery. As always Ellie Alexander transports her readers to Ashland Oregon was her amazing description and details. Whenever I read a book in this series I want to plan a trip to Oregon.

Jules is planning a surprise Elizabethan wedding for her mother and the professor. All is going surprisingly well until a family mystery is brought to Jules for help and poisoned wine is served.

This book was so good. I was glad to see Carlos again and Jules reminded me why she is one of my favorite slueths. I couldn't put the book down. The mystery was fast paced and the characters and settings were a delight as always. You can read this book as a stand alone but why would you with a series this good

Till Death Do Us Tart by Ellie Allexander is the 8th in the Bakeshop Mysteries. This is the second book I have read and I am hooked.
Jules is trying to pull off a surprise wedding for her mother and the professor, the renovations are nearly finished.and her ex is coming to town. Though, she already has a full plate, her buddy, Lance, enlists her help on investigating his family. Is he being paranoid or is someone out to end his father's life. Jules is going to find out, especially when she discovers she may have also been a target.
This is a terrific cozy with a great cast of characters, mystery, and romance. The story line flows with plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing until the end.
I'm already looking forward to returning to Ashland, Oregon and Torte.
I was given an ARC from Netgalley and St Martin's Press for an honest review.

Till Death Do Us Tart by Ellie Alexander is the 8th book in the Bakeshop Mystery series, and another great addition. I love this series, and have read them all. When a new book comes out it's like visiting old friends. In this book several things are going on. Jules Capshaw is throwing a surprise mid summer wedding for her mom and the police chief. Jules husband Carlos has returned with his son, and Jules finds out shocking secrets about Lance. The plot and characters are well written, and this book will keep you guessing and wondering about all the suspects. I suggest you read the books in order, to get the full effect. I strongly recommend this book for all cozy mystery lovers.

I received this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This is the 8th in series and one of my favorites of the series. I adore this series and was thrilled to receive a ARC for review . My opinions are my own. This book can be read as a stand alone to those new to the series . I highly recommend the entire series! Each book in the series is delightful and fun to read with a excellent sleuth.

Jules and her Mother own a fabulous dessert bakery in Ashland Oregon. The descriptions of the food in each book are divine. The preparation of the desserts and presentation will take your breath away. The beautiful setting of Ashland and the Shakespearean Festival is the backdrop for this series. While reading each book you will want to immediately book your next vacation in Ashland. The author has a talent for vivid descriptions that entrance the reader into the location and is described with such perfection you can fall for Ashland through this series as I have.

In this next in series Julies and her Mother are preparing for her Mothers wedding while overseeing a large expansion of Torte, their bakery. Her Mother Helen is engaged to a detective. They had wanted a Midsummer Night's Dream wedding on solstice but finding the right venue proved difficult. Jules found the perfect venue and is planning the ultimate surprise for the happy couple as she has taken on all the baking and preparation while keeping the wedding a secret
She is also a skilled investigator and is helping her friend Lance with a family mystery. Lance believes his Brother may have killed his elderly Father and wants Jules to investigate for him. Jules is a able sleuth and has solved murders in the past. She has a talent for finding clues and suspects. During the preparations and sleuth her husband Carlos returns to Ashland with his son which adds much humor and romance for Jules. Carlos lives and works on a cruise ship as they are separated but he wants Jules back. Carlos still has a hold on her heart but she will not leave her family, friends and her bakery behind . They have a amicable reunion amidst the preparations.
After the wedding someone is served poisoned wine.! Jules and Lance are right in the middle of the action and are able to assist the police while doing their own investigation on the side . This next in series has such a fun theme with so many wonderful charcters. The action is fast paced and I loved the well crafted sleuth.. It is a delightful return to Torte and Ashland. I adore this series and always look forward to the next in series with great anticipation.
I appreciate the ARC and my opinions are my own.

Till Death Do Us Tart is Ellie Alexander's eighth in the Bakeshop Mystery series and is not the first I have read. A wedding is in the air. It’s a surprised Elizabethan themed wedding for her mother.

Seems the mysteries I’ve been reading lately have a wedding theme- Did the authors attend a conference and was this theme sparked there?
What makes this one different is that there is a remodel of Torte going on and someone has a grudge against Jules. So much so that they try to kill her.

What I liked about this story is:
It is well written, flows smoothly and has a delightful cast of characters.
Can be read as a standalone.
It made me laugh!
There are recipes in the back of this book

So, read this entertaining story and see if you can determine who wants Jules dead and why.

I received an Advanced Reader’s Copy from St Martin’s Press via Netgalley and these are my own opinions.

Till Death Do Us Tart is the eighth book in Ellie Alexander’s Bakeshop Mystery series and can definitely be read as a standalone. I enjoy this series the more I read it. This is a fun series and fans will not be disappointed with this book. Questions you need answered will compel you to keep turning the pages. I can really say that the mystery was neatly done. The tension, the buildup, the way the secrets were revealed and the setting really appealed to me. The characters feel real and believable, like people you'd know. I highly recommend this series. Thank you for the copy provided to me by the publisher, St. Martin's, through Netgalley. Till Death Do Us Tart is out June 26th and is published by St. Martin's Press.

This is a clever addition to a delightful series. Loved the ending, so I am eager to read the next one. A surprise wedding, the bakeshop remodel, and coffee and pastries will keep you entertained. Oh yes, there is a mystery or two to solve along the way, too.

Starting a new book from this series always feels like getting together with an old friend. No matter how long it has been since you've last talked, you can pick right up again in a comfortable and connected way. I would love to one day see if the real life Ashland, Oregon, is as cozy, warm, and inviting as Ellie Alexander paints it in her Bakeshop Mysteries!

Till Death Do Us Tart is the eighth book in this series and the whole town is secretly abuzz. Jules and the team at Torte are deep in clandestine plans to throw a Shakespeare inspired wedding for Jules' mom and The Professor. But there are a few other things on Jules' mind, too. First, her estranged husband, Carlos, is due back in town. Their relationship is one that Jules has yet to fully sort out--not to mention that this visit will be the first time she'll meet her husband's son. Second, her BFF Lance has been MIA for days. When he does return, he reveals some very surprising details about his life, his family, and his fear that someone is trying to kill his father. Finally, the Torte bakeshop is undergoing serious expansions and renovations--two words that would strike fear and anxiety into the hearts of any small business owner!

As always, Ellie Alexander weaves together the various threads of characters, plot, and twists into quite an enjoyable read. Her stories never disappoint--and the recipes always leave me wanting more!

Till Death Do Us Tart is the eighth book in Ellie Alexander's Bakeshop Mystery series. The book is a fast read and is enjoyable all the way through.

Baker Juliet Capshaw is back in the eighth entry in the Bakeshop Mystery series.

Background: Jules grew up involved in her parents' bakery and restaurant in Ashland, Oregon, but left to pursue a professor culinary career. She spent years away as the pastry chef for a cruise ship and fell in love and married the handsome Spanish chef Carlos. When she finds out he has a son that he never told her about, she leaves him and her job behind and returns home to Ashland.

This is a terrific setting peopled with interesting and believable characters. As this book begins, Jules' widowed mother is on the eve of her wedding to a local Ashland police detective. Jules has taken over the operation of the family bakery, Torte, and has a great work crew. She is a little overwhelmed between her mother's wedding and a major renovation and restaurant expansion. In addition, she still maintains contact with Carlos and he has invested in a local winery with both him and Jules as stockholders. And if that's not enough, Carlos and his son are in town for the wedding.

The festivities come off as planned except for an attempted murder by poison. Soon several plot threads emerge: Jules' friend Lance has re-connected with his estranged family and there is a wealth of money and motive there. Someone has hired an investigator but who is she working for and who is she shadowing, and why? And who was the poison intended for?

Juliet and Lance can't help but become involved, much to the consternation of her old high school flame Thomas and new police detective Kerry. And then the investigator is found murdered.

Jules has to try and handle ferreting out information, helping Lance, trying to sort out her feelings for Carlos, and the logistical challenges of a remodel. But she's a resilient and appealing character, and Ashland is a great foil for a series with its unique setting and the background of the famous Shakespeare Festival.

Thanks to Net Galley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

As always Ellie Alexander has left my heart fluttering and my mouth watering! This was the 8th book in The Bakeshop Mystery series featuring the amazing baker Jules Capshaw. She has a lot on her plate during this book! A wedding to plan, an expansion of her bakeshop Torte, her feelings for her estranged husband, and trying to be there for her friends. To top it off someone has a grudge towards Jules herself and tries to poison her!

This book had me laughing, it had me tearing up, and falling in love with the characters over and over again. Ellie has a way with her characters, she brings them alive. She is able to weave words of meaning, feeling, and scrumptiousness like The Bard himself!

I recommend this series to anyone who loves coffee, friends, family, and a good mystery! You will find yourself lost in the world of the characters trying to figure out the 'whodunit'. This book had me on my toes the whole time guessing and I loved every second of it!
