Adam Fairfax, the Duke of Sunderford, has earned his nickname "Sinful Sunny." Being a duke and enormously wealthy attracts every singer, actress, and widow in London. Adam is never one to turn down a lady's affections or two or three in his decadent "playroom." When Miss Isabel Finch shows up on his doorstep with seven-year-old twin girls and informs him that he is now their legal guardian, Adam is in shock. His lifestyle does lend it itself to him being a guardian of innocent little girls.
This book was very well-written and the twists and turns in the plot kept my interest throughout the story. It was also great to see a couple of the characters from previous books make an appearance in this one. I loved watching Adam's character change as he finally learned how to open his heart and it was especially lovely that it took seven-year-old girls to show him what love meant. The interactions between Adam and Isabel were fun to watch as they went from adversaries to so much more until a misunderstanding threatens to tear them apart. Fans of regency romances will definitely enjoy this book.

I received a free copy of the Duke that Ravished me. I read this as a standalone, and it was a quick and easy ready. I loved the storyline of Adam being a confirmed bachelor and hosting orgie parties etc. He never pretended to be anything else with the governess Isabel. The story developed nicely, and Adam's transition into non bachelorhood was well thought out and natural. The storyline with Isabel predictable pretty early, but also well thought out. Overall, this was a great book that I would recommend to friends and family.

Adam Fairfax, Duke of Sunderford has been living a life of women and liquor with wild parties. That is about to come to an end with the arrival of his two wards, Prudence and Patience with their governess, Isabel who has a dark past she works to keep hidden. The duke's lifestyle must change but is he ready to make the change? Can two seven year old wars and Isabel make him want to change? How they go about making a life together made this an interesting read.

Adam Fairfax, the Duke of Sunderford, is nicknamed "Sinful Sunny" for a reason. He relishes being a rake and a scoundrel. Adam is in the middle of one of his latest escapades when he is interrupted by the arrival of his two new wards. Adam wants nothing to do with the children or their governess, but circumstances force his hand. He must let them stay until he gets to the bottom of this. Surely no one in their right mind would put two children into his care, not if they knew of his drinking and carousing.
Isabel needs Adam to accept her and the girls. She does not want them having to move all over the countryside again. Isabel wants them to have a permanent home, and Adam's uncle assured her he would do his duty by the girls. Isabel certainly was not counting on the mutual attraction between them. She must put her guard up lest Adam discover what she's hiding.
THE DUKE WHO RAVISHED ME ensnared me from page one. Adam is arrogant and only cares about his own needs in the beginning. When his new guests arrive, he tries to get rid of them at every turn. It does not take long for Adam to come to the realization that he is being selfish and then he comes to actually care for his young wards. Adam and Isabel are a whole other thing... two hard-headed people who both feel very deeply. Watching them slowly fall for one another is wonderful. Historical fans will be clamoring to read author Diana Quincy's THE DUKE WHO RAVISHED ME.

Thanks Random House Publishing Group - Loveswept and netgalley for this ARC.
Quincy is one my favorite authors, so I devoured this novel. A libertine who wants to change but also can't help wanting to ravish his governess. The end will make your day.

This is an entertaining tale of a duke, Adam, aka “Sunny”, who lives a life of debauchery , including cheap women, frequent gambling, and plenty of booze. He is surprised to be told he is now the guardian of two precocious seven year old girls who show up on his doorstep late one night with their rather stern governess, Isabel Finch. Sunny is less than happy to accommodate the situation because he’s not thrilled about changing his lifestyle. After all, his “playroom” , where he throws frequent orgies, is not set up for children. He is even less impressed with “Finch”. But, he does learn that it’s amusing to bait her. As the two learn to put up with each other, they also begin to respect the other, and notice a compelling attraction that neither can ignore.
There is a conflict caused by a misunderstanding that affects each of them and the conclusion of the story brings a hea for all.
The story has some definite heat, along with endearing characters and witty repartee. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and would highly recommend it.

The Duke Who Ravished Me (Rebellious Brides, #4)
by Diana Quincy
A definite buy book.
While I found the ending to be a little rushed, the author does not disappoint in this addition to the series. Finally , the Duke gets his comeuppance. I sincerely enjoy a read that makes you laugh, as well as being one that is interesting in the characters and the plot and the romance. This is one that hits all of those buttons. I like this author and their way of writing and portraying each part of the story. A truly gifted story teller that makes me smile and leaves me wanting more. A book that is a great escape as well as being a keeper in the series. I received an ARC of this book, from the publisher, via NetGalley

The Duke Who Ravished Me is the fourth book in the Rebellious Brides series by Diana Quincy.
Adam Fairfax, the Duke of Sunderford was brought up with a mother and father who showed no affection to each other, let alone him. His father was very strict and brought Adam up with many rules, regulations and beatings. Since his father’s death, Adam has made the most of his freedom and that includes holding orgies in his home, and pretty much being a manwhore! He is less than pleased when one evening while entertaining two women in his ‘playroom’ he is called away from them only to find a prim woman with two little girls in his home. The two little girls he is informed are his wards, and the woman is their governess. He didn’t even know about the girl’s existence, and when he finds that he is the one responsible for them he is fuming.
Isabelle Finch is the girls’ governess and she can’t believe that anybody in their right mind would want Adam to be guardian over two innocent young girls. His reputation precedes him and Isabelle is as horrified at their circumstances as Adam is. But horrified as they both are, they need to make the most of the situation, and Isabelle is determined that the girls will always be treated well.
I have to admit that I really did not like Adam when I started reading this story, he made it so obvious that he didn’t want the girls around, and did everything he could to try to get somebody, anybody else to take them. All he wanted was to carry on his life of debauchery and not have his sex life messed up. I am happy to say that over the duration of the story, thanks in part to Isabelle, but mainly because of his wards, Adam sees that there is more to life than what he had been living. When he finds himself attracted to his plain jane of a governess he is just as shocked as she is. And she is equally as shocked to think that she could have any feelings towards a man like him! Could they have a future together, it doesn’t seem likely with him being a Duke and her just being a lowly governess?
I really enjoyed this story and how believable Adam’s transition was from a rake to a caring guardian. It didn’t happen overnight, and it was novel to have the governess not being a goddess that he would give up his orgies for at first glance. Their relationship and his relationship with his wards was slow growing and because of that, it was lovely to read. As for the little girls, they were darling, I just wanted to reach into the book and give them a cuddle. I was a little surprised to realise that they were 7 years old, I felt as if they were much younger during most of the story. Still, no matter their age, they were lovely little girls that Adam couldn’t help but adore (eventually). There was also a twist to the tale that I honestly didn’t see coming which I loved. All in all, this was a most enjoyable read!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers’ copy of this book

When I first started this novel, I assumed it would be another super trashy romance, but I was pleasantly surprised that it was much deeper than that. This novel has some 50 shades vibes, as it includes an adult playroom, but surpasses being a novel only about sex.
Adam Fairfax, the hero of this tale, is a great redeemable hero. This fully fleshed out character gradually, realistically makes a turn for the better, while still having a steamy romance. Additionally, I loved the children in this story and they’re more than a superficial role. They were essential to this interesting storyline. Lastly, I never expected that ending, which is a very rare occurrence with the number of romances I have read.
Overall this is was a pretty decent romance novel that I recommend!

I’ve found a new author! I really enjoyed this book; all of the characters were interesting, the romance was awesome and there was a bit of mystery thrown in as well. I will definitely be looking for more books from this author.

A fun historical romp! Sunny with his deviant predilections who appears to have no heart. Then there's Isabel who is very uptight and governess to Patience and Prudence. As the book progressed I noticed that the ice was beginning to melt from Adam's heart. Especially with the twins, who adored him very much. I began to realize the real identity of Isabel before it was revealed. But you need to read the book to find out. All in all an enjoyable read!! I voluntarily read this book via NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion.

Satisfying historical romance of two damaged people, Adam and Isabel. Both forceful, proud and witty, brought together under less than ideal situations. Then there are the vivacious twin imps, Patience and Prudie, delightful! Stimulating, fun writing and read!
Voluntarily read ARC for honest review

This is sweet, amusing, romantic and dramatic. Adam is selfish, immature and emotionally broken. Isabel is caring, kind, vulnerable and mysterious. It was hate, but also intense awareness, at first sight. Complete opposite personalities clash, morality against immortality and selfishness against love. Patience and Prudie add entertainment, love and excitement. The characters are fascinating, exciting. The storyline is captivating and engrossing, it was so hard to put down. The end of the story is brilliant, and Adam's reformation is heartwarming. This book belongs on the top of your TBR list.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Netgalley. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.

The Duke of Sunderford, Adam Fairfax, is better known to the “ton” as Sinful Sunny. In The Duke Who Ravished Me he has earned this reputation through a number of debauched entertainments which he holds in his home.
While in the middle of just such an entertainment his enjoyment is interrupted by the arrival of visitors. He is very disgruntled when he has to put aside the pleasures of the two young ladies he’s playing with in order to find out what is going on.
His Uncle Abel apparently has claimed a heart condition. He no longer feels able to continue as guardian and has sent the children from his home in Cornwall on a several days journey to London.
Twins Patience and Prudence are two charming little girls, but who in their right mind would send them to live as wards with a bachelor of Adams reputation? But Uncle Abel wants them to be settled before his health worsens.
Isabel Finch, the governess to the young girls, is clearly a gentlewoman. She has taken care of the children for several years while they were with Uncle Abel. She is determined to protect them from the Duke’s debauchery.
Everything Is Not As It Seems
Throwing a couple of innocent children into the lap of a libertine is one way of attempting to reform him. I think it is clear that this is the reason why Uncle Abel sent the children in the first place.
I found it interesting that the Duke felt that the governess to be entirely without charm when first they met. It soon becomes apparent that she not only has charms, but they are exactly the sort he likes.
There were some interesting twists and turns in this book that I thoroughly enjoyed. The characters were interesting and very well written. The girls were charming and entirely adorable.
This is the fourth in the Rebellious Brides series, which includes Spy Fall, A License To Wed, and From London With Love, though works very well as a standalone novel. I will be happy to read more from Diana Quincy.
Reviewed for LnkToMi iRead in response to a complimentary copy of the book provided by the publisher in hopes of an honest review.

Many regencies I've read call the H a rake but don't follow through. Not so with this book!
This is not a sweet romance. The H's behavior and speech in the beginning is lewd, graphic, and self-absorbed. The heroine is new at her job and is a worrywart. Drama ensues.
I was jarred from the time period with a few descriptions. The heroine is supposed to be a governess, yet she is referred to as a nanny and a nurse. The H uses slang for sex that seemed too modern for me.
It ends well but not a story I will keep on my Kindle.

Sinful Sunny has quite the reputation. Enter 2 small children he becomes guardian. Needing a governess, enter a past neighbor fallen on hard times. Mix it all together and you have a delightful romp with a HEA.!

A fun book about a sassy governess with a secret and a duke who wants to possess her. It only took one kiss and the games began.

Fantastic read. I enjoyed this book. I was provided a complimentary copy of this book so I could give an honest review.

This book starts off steamy and continues throughout the book. I'm a big fan of females that take control of their own future. Great read from beginning to end!

Determined to never be like his father Adam Fairfax, Duke of Sunderford, or Sinful Sunny, as society calls him for his sinful lifestyle of debauchery and his hosting orgies at his town house. His friends have married and Adam simply can't understand why his married friends would want to remain faithful to their wives. His life is about to change when his wards, the seven-year-old twin girls and their prim and proper governess, Isabel Finch landed on his doorstep. Little does he know the prime and proper governess is about to ignite is passions. Isabel dislike him immediately, but she knows she’s at his mercy as his employee if she wants to stay close to her wards and protect them. Oh she’s not afraid to speak out in protection of them, counsel and correct him on his lifestyle and how it can affect the young wards. After the two share a sizzling kiss Isabel is determined not to be just another conquest no matter how persuasive he can be. What a battle of wills between these two people and great fun to read as we watch Adam's transition was from a rake to a caring guardian. This is my honest opinions after I voluntarily read a copy of this book that was provided to me with no requirements for a review.
