This was a different story and I liked the little twist at the end. Adam didn't seem to have any redeeming features, but Isabel and the girls found him pretty easy to love. Too bad he doesn't know how to love anyone as he was raised by a very cold father and mother. When Isabel and the twins invade his world, Adam is sure there is some place else for them to go. He just knows he can't keep them in his home. He might have to curtail his "entertainments". But the girls worked some magic on him and he begins to rethink his lifestyle.

Quincy adds another hit to her Rebellious Brides series. “Sunny” Sunderford is bored. Drinking, sleeping with (multiple) women and generally raking about town, are only making him fat and lazy. Sunderford’s cousin, in an apparent attempt at reform, sends him two seven-year-olds and their surprisingly sexy governess. As Quincy says in her afterword, we are “guaranteed a happy ending”. With Quincy we are also guaranteed some racy scenes along the way.

The Duke Who Ravished Me (Rebellious Brides, #4) by Diana Quincy This was my first book by Diana Quincy and I was lucky to get to preview it on #NetGalley. Adam Fairfax Duke of Sunderford (Sunny) and Isabel Finch (Finch) the nanny. Prudence and Patience the two adorable orphaned twins. Sunny is a little worse than your typical rake...His uncle who is guardian of the twins sends them Sunny and makes him guardian...this disrupts his life style. From here on the story is funny, charming, some tears sad and happy.. Quite a few twists and turns along with a real surprise... I won't tell you anymore than there is a very HEA. I do plan to go back and read the first three Rebellious Brides.

Duke is a man who doesn’t care what others think of him. He wants what he wants and tends to get it when he sets his mind to it. I like the whole “hate” that Adam and Izzy(Finch) had at the start when she and the twins arrived to live with him. But as the story continues some kind of friendship starts to develop and that transform into more.
I loved the whole plot and twist in the story – it was really refreshing I didn’t see it coming. And the part where he finally comes to terms with his affection for Izzy for what it is and her reveling secrets that she was so worried it would separate her from the twins; I was head over heels in love with both MCby the end of the book.
I truly recommend this book; it was a refreshing 4,5* read.

I absolutely LOVED this story!! Having met Sunny in the previous book in the series, it was nice to see him settle down and find his HEA.
I loved Isabel and how she stood up to Adam so that he would take in her charges. The girls were a hoot and had me laughing out loud throughout the story! It was great to see Adam fall in love with the mischievous girls as well as their caretaker.
This was a great addition to the Rebellious Brides series. I'm hopeful that Quincy is continuing with this delightful series.

Wonderful! What a compelling story! In 2018, we women continue to find our voice in the MeToo movement. Here we’re reminded that in the early 1800s women had no rights to their children, let alone their bodies. In the Duke Who Ravished Me we get this nugget of history while the author brilliantly paints a scandalously salacious duke who discovered what it is like to love and be loved in return. It's witty, engaging and all-around good.
I highly recommend it!
I received an ARC of this book, from the publisher, via NetGalley, in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This is my first book by Diana Quincy.
What I liked:
The writing style
The characters
Prudence and Patience
Part of a series: Rebellious Brides
Standalone
HEA
I look forward to reading more from this author.

Adam Fairfax, fifth Duke of Sunderford, became the guardian of two precious girls. Their governess came with them, Miss Finch. She had some secrets herself and trusted no one with them. The duke known as Sinful Sunny, was just that and was proud of it. He had never had any attention from his parents and when he came of age he rebelled, in spectacular fashion. She was very attentive to the girls and she was gentle. She loved them very much.
The characters were great, questions the girls asked the adults, and just being their cute little selves. The plot has several twists to it and is well written. I loved the bantering between Sunny And Isabell. The sexual tension between them was very interesting. I highly recommend this book if you don't mind a dash of sex and an excellent story.
I received this ARC free and voluntarily reviewed it.

Publisher's Description:
An impulsive kiss between a libertine duke and a mysterious governess sparks a blaze of desire—and intrigue—in this breathtaking Regency romance from the award-winning author of Spy Fall.
Adam Fairfax, the Duke of Sunderford, happily enjoys a different woman (or two) every night—or he did, until his wards landed on his doorstep. Ever since Sunny took in the seven-year-old twin girls and their prim and proper governess, Isabel Finch, his love life has been a shambles. But, as time goes by, Sunny catches himself getting lost in Isabel’s haughty blue eyes, or following the curves beneath her unbecoming dress. An unexpected kiss ignites a passion that shocks him into realizing how thin the line between love and hate can be.
If Isabel’s hidden past were revealed, she could lose everything. Oddly enough, only when “Sinful Sunny” is near does she feel safe—or safe enough to speak up in defense of the girls. The duke’s decadent lifestyle is a disgrace, and clearly he considers Isabel a nuisance. Still, she can’t help admiring his sculpted cheekbones, strong-cut jaw, and tousled chestnut hair. When their lips meet, it’s almost as if he could kiss the secrets right out of her. Worse, she’s tempted to let him. . . .
My Thoughts:
This delightfully sexy book has everything. With a pair of wonderful and precocious twin girls who have become the wards of a most unlikely Duke who is well known for his debauchery. He lives for the goings on in his "playroom". Things that are certainly not for the eyes of his new seven year old female wards.
Isabelle Finch is the twin girl's governess and Sunny presumes her to be both dowdy and stuffy.
Finch has a few secrets hidden behind her disguise.
Will Isabelle's secrets and Sunny's previous debauched ways lead to disaster?
The twists and turns of this story leads the reader on a delightful romp with a new surprise with every turn of the page.
I have this book 4.75 of 5.0 stars for storyline and characterization and a sensual rating of 5.0 of 5.0 flames.
The intimacy in this book is very heated but an essential part of our hero's character.
I received a complimentary digital ARC copy of this book from the publisher to read and review. This in no way affected my opinion of this book which I read and reviewed voluntarily.

Wow!! Love this!! I really like Isabel, she is practical, straight-forward, strong and independent. Adam is the typical rakish & sinful duke, he does have a few good qualities though and Isabel shakes him up just enough for him to realize that there is more to being a duke then "partying". From the beginning, the antics of these characters made me laugh but Isabel's plight/secret past is quite serious, totally shocking and made me cry. I was so caught up in the transition of their lives that I had forgot about the fact that there was a secret that needed to be revealed so it blindsided me. This is definitely one of the best regency romances that I have ever read. Author did an excellent job writing this. Couldn't put it down until I finished and it will be in my favorites stash for those times when I need a guaranteed engrossing, heartwarming, engaging, satisfying romance reading material.
Received a copy from Loveswept (publisher) through Net Galley.

Let me begin this review the same way I have began many others. Although this is book number 4 in an established series, you do not have to have read the other novels in order to enjoy this one. I have not read them, and I had no trouble enjoying The Duke Who Ravished Me with the information contained within this book.
And wow what a book this was!! I was immediately drawn into this story, and these characters, so much so that I had trouble putting it down!
Adam and Isabel have a very interesting (and realistic) relationship. They despise each other - and for good reason. Isabel cares deeply for her twin charges, wanting only what is best for them, and Adam is a self-described rake who has been known to host orgies in his home. Obviously, he is the worst possible choice to two impressionable young girls, who he calls brats from the start.
I think the best part of this story was watching the relationship between Adam and the females in his life blossom. It was one of the "slow burn" kind of stories that I adore, and it was great fun watching him start to warm up to Prudence and Patience (his twin wards). Seeing him grow as a character, and as a man, was something I haven't seen to this degree in a very long time. It was was also refreshing to see that this change in him didn't come about overnight, and despite his best efforts, he still slipped up from time to time.
I will say that the author managed to throw a couple of twists into this story that I did not see coming at all, both of which made this story an unforgettable one! I strongly believe this story will appeal to those who enjoy well written historical novels, with a touch of erotica thrown in. I will definitely read more from this author!
DISCLAIMER: I received a complimentary copy of this novel in exchange for my honest review. This has not affected my review in any way. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are 100% my own.

This was a fabulous historical romance. Adam is the Duke of Sunderberg & he has a raunchy reputation. He throws parties that would make even some of the men of the ton blush. Isabel Finch is a governess in charge of 2 young girls that have come into Adam (AKA Sinful Sunny) much to his chagrin. Will Finch be able to get him to change his ways for the girls? Will the sparks that fly between Finch & Adam be fanned? I highly recommend reading this story to find out these & other twists that happen In this book.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It reminded me of a Julia Quinn or Lisa Kleypas rather than just another generic historical romance. I have never read a Diana Quincy, and really appreciated the novelty of her plot. Not just another governess love story! It definitely made me want to read the first two books in this series and I will certainly be requesting our regional library purchase the series and recommending it to our romance book groups!

This book and the its characters were a wonderful surprise. Quincy takes what could have easily been just another governess and employer story and adds a whole new dimension that I never saw coming. The way in which the presence of the governess, Ms. Finch, and the twins slowly has Adam changing his priorities and pursuits was believable, especially his not realizing that changes they have made in his life until they're away for a visit. Quincy's twist at the end of the book and the fact that it's rooted in the realities of the laws of England in the 1800s had me starting the book all over again to see what clues I had missed. Definitely a book I'll be recommending!

This book is pretty formulaic to start; Dissipated, haughty Duke, forced to be guardian of young girls, is constantly bickering with their governess. The plain governess is only interested in her charges safety and morality. Then the two find they are attracted to each other. We’ve read this story line before but in the hands of Diana Quincy it becomes something new and very interesting. There are passionate moments and rage filled misunderstandings that all lead to a surprising Happily Ever After.
Side Characters from previous books are involved in the plot but this is definitely readable as a standalone. I enjoyed this Regency romance and can definitely recommend it to Historical Romance readers.

I could not put this book down. It had me intrigued from the very beginning. The duke is really bad and not ashamed at all, but admit it, we all love a bad duke. The verbal sparring and sexy moments between Adam and Isabel are delightful. Adam cannot believe someone would want to settle down and his disdain for such a state is hilarious. Normally children in books really do not add to the story for me but in this book the twins are so adorable and really bring Adam around. LOVED IT!
Dr. Jarvis next, right?!?!?! She says hopefully…..

This was definitely a book that took the reader on a journey of character changes and heart-wrenching revelations. I finished it in a day, staying up into the wee hours of the night, mostly because after reading the first half, I wasn't about to set the book down for a few extra hours of sleep. Nope, I was going to keep reading until I got my happy ending. And I got it - Diana Quincy delivered.
Sinful Sunny, or the Duke of Sunderford to polite society, is quite content living his life one orgy and sexual act at a time. Having grown up with little love and an abundance of restrictions until his father's passing, he has used his freedom to revel in the delights that most would consider obscene. His whole world is turned upside down, however, when there is a knock on his door and two little girls along with their prudish governess are suddenly thrust upon him. Having lived virtually without any responsibility, he balks at having to change his ways for two brats and an uppity servant. It's not too long, though, until he begins to see that this new life might be the best thing that ever happened to him.
Sunny was a good hero...eventually. And I do mean *eventually.* It took him many, many pages and countless bad decisions to realize how rude he was to Isabel Finch, the governess he so frequently mocks. Even in the end - we're talking at 86%, folks - he was still questioning whether or not he could be faithful to Isabel. Suffice it to say, the learning was slow, but the end result was really quite lovely. Isabel was strong and kind, and I had no problem getting on her side from the very beginning. Sunny was immature due to his childhood and wealth, and so while I found his behavior to be ridiculous, I understood it to an extent. As another reviewer mentioned, this did get a bit "50 Shades" on me with the playroom he has in his house. It seemed a bit exaggerated, but as I am not an expert on that time period, perhaps this was more common than I think. Either way, it was little gross to have Sunny's escapades made so clear in the story, particularly when he had these escapades while his wards were in the house. Isabel was a very good influence on him, and the turning point was when she forced him to realize what he would miss if she and the children weren't around. That was perhaps the greatest part of the book, and I almost wished the author had dragged it out a bit longer.
I really liked this book and would definitely recommend it to others! A great book with lots of character, it captured my attention and made me yearn for more.

Sunny becomes guardian to his young twin girl cousins. He is a Duke. He is a hedonist. The girls come with their governess. She is very proper. She doesn’t approve of Sunny. They realize they have feelings for each other. Someone is trying to get guardianship of the twins. In the end she comes to his aid. They realize they are in love.

Adam, the Duke of Sunderford, also known as Sinful Sunny, enjoys his life of debauchery and has embraced it fully. When he is told that he is now ward to two twin 7 year old girls and a governess who is prudish and dull, he refuses to give up his vices. Isabel is living with a lot of secrets and has gone through a lot of heartache, so when the two girls end up in Adam’s care she doesn’t hide her displeasure or judgment of Adam’s chosen life style. Isabel and Adam butt heads from the very beginning and Adam thinks she is the least attractive and most dull woman he has ever met but he starts to see glimpses of a different side to her when she doesn’t think he is looking that starts to make Adam question who is the real Isabel. The twins also start to burrow under Adam’s skin and before he realizes it his old lifestyle no longer appeals. When Isabel and the girls rush back to Cornwall after his annual ball where things heated up, he comes to realize how much the girls and Isabel have come to mean to him. When they return, he promises Isabel to never again disrespect her, but when she finds out all of the changes he has made in his life to make the girls feel at home she can’t keep her distance any longer. But when Adam thinks that she betrayed him and means to steal the girls away from him he over reacts and fears that he might just have lost her for good. Lots of secrets have to be revealed for the two main characters to have their happily ever after and the way everything comes together in the end was great. It did have some slow parts and I would have liked a bit more added to the conclusion, but overall I enjoyed the story and the character interactions.

This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I enjoyed it. Isabel Finch has been governess to twin girls for most of their life. Their father is deceased, and their mother ran off. They have lived in Cornwall with the girls’ great-uncle Abel, who has sent them to live in London with their cousin Adam, Duke of Sunderford. Unfortunately, they arrive late in the evening and Adam is entertaining.
Adam was raised by a very strict father who beat and punished him often. Now that he is the Duke, he is doing whatever pleases him and that includes “entertaining” women in his home. The girls grow on him quickly as he tries to curtail his entertaining. He insists that Isabel attend his once a year ball and allows the girls to hide and watch. But the next day Isabel and the girls leave to visit Abel. Adam misses them terribly as he has become attached to them.
There are many secrets to be revealed, but not in this review. Prudence and Patience are adorable and steal many scenes. You must read the book! Thanks to the publisher for allowing me to read an ARC.
