This is the book I didn't know I was waiting for. I loved The Devil Wears Prada when it came out fifteen years ago. I was a twenty-something, reading about twenty-somethings. I absolutely adored the writing and the characters and really enjoyed the story. Since then, I've been looking for something, anything, that lived up to it. (Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns definitely did not...) Now here it is. Emily Charlton, former first assistant to Miranda Priestly, is back and just as fiery as ever. The bitch with a heart of gold. Along with Miriam, an old friend, and Karolina, a new friend, they're ready to conquer Greenwich, Connecticut together.

The story alternates chapters, presenting each of the three women's point of view. I was hooked immediately and couldn't put it down. All three women are interesting, likeable and relatable and have you rooting for each of them. I especially enjoyed these three strong women working together to get what they deserve in life. I absolutely would recommend that you throw this one in your beach bag this summer.

I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

Very pleasantly surprised by this! I loved The Devil Wears Prada but was very disappointed in the sequel. I had mixed feelings picking this one up but I am so glad I did. It’s lighthearted and funny. The characters are likeable and relatable. The chapter titles are super creative. This was the perfect way to kick off my summer reading!

Thanks to NetGalley, Simon and Schuster and the author for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I was lucky enough to read this title early through Net Galley. Loved this book as much as the first two! Emily was always one of my favorite characters of Ms. Weisberger so I was excited to see she was the main character in this one. Her sass and snark are amazing and she did not disappoint in this book either. The quality of writing and overall character development improved in this book as compared to #2 as well. I hope there is a 4th!

Thank you to netgalley and the author/publisher for a free copy of WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU LULULEMONS in exchange for an honest review.

I have already enjoyed Weisenberger's other books, so I was really looking forward to this one. The saga continues with Emily as she heads out to Connecticut to help out a friend of a friend. Drama ensues, alcohol flows, and friendships are made. I really enjoyed this easy to read, women's mid-life drama. It dealt with high class, fitting in, marriage challenges, and simply surviving their crazy lives.

I found myself laughing, crying and getting angry with Emily, Miriam, and especially Karolina who became one of my favorite characters. She was real, likable, and a fighter. I really recommend this book. I think you could read it as a stand alone even if you have not read the first two books in the series. It would be just as enjoyable for someone who knew nothing about Emily's past.

PIck this one up this summer for a light enjoyable read alongside a glass of lululemonade!

Full disclosure....it has been a very long time since I read The Devil Wears Prada, and I did not read the second book in this series. That being said however, I really loved this book. It felt like the perfect light hearted summer beach read that I have been craving as a break from the psychological thrillers I have been reading as of late.

I loved Emily's blunt way of speaking, and the friendship that grew between the characters as the book went on. I love watching Karolina evolve as a woman and begin to stand up for herself and not let Graham win. I also loved Emily's attitude toward any sympathy Karolina felt for him at any time. The lives and conversations of the housewives absolutely baffled me, but it made the book fun and interesting since it is so drastically different from the way I live my life. I did enjoy that all three of the women, while wealthy in their own way, was fairly down to earth at the end of the day (well Emily is questionable, but I think she has some realism in her as well!)

Overall this was a fun book that will bring smiles and laughter to anyone that reads it.

I received an advanced copy of this novel in exchange of an honest review.

Yesss! Five enthusiastic, nostalgic stars! What a fun throwback to the glorious days of The Devil Wears Prada! Lauren Weisberger was one of the first authors I properly obsessed over, and I was so thrilled to dive into another one of her sassy, juicy, laugh-out-loud romps!

When Life Gives You Lululemons, aside from having a wildly adorable title, is a fun story that follows our girl Emily Charlton, Miranda Priestly's former first assistant at Runway (played by my ultimate girl crush Emily Blunt in the movie), and two of her friends: Miriam, a high-powered New York attorney who's recently traded in her job for a suburban mommy life, and Karolina, a former Victoria's Secret model married to a US Senator with presidential aspirations. All three women find themselves, for one reason or another, reluctantly living in Greenwich, CT in a sea of Lululemon-clad, SoulCycling Pinterest moms. Emily feels her career as a celebrity image consultant falling apart, Miriam is missing her New York life and struggling to assimilate into the group of ladies who lunch, and Karolina finds herself with a DUI and a failing marriage. Such a fun story of girl power, friendship, and athleisure wear. Enjoy with a bottle of sparkling rose.

Thank you NetGalley and Simon & Schuster for the ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review!

If you loved "The Devil Wears Prada", you will love this. It's the perfect Summer reading! Lauren Weisberger wrote a follow up, starring Emily, Miranda's assistant. There's just enough intrigue and fashion to get you hooked up from beginning to the end. And yes, there's a little bit of Miranda wearing Prada as well. This time around the story takes place in the suburbs - where all women wear Lululemons and seriously consider doing their... vaginas (?) - , and some family scandals take place. Emily will try to help sort things out for her friends, and in the end her life will change as well. You will laugh, you will be mad at some people, and you will enjoy this perfect Summer book.

When I saw that Weisberger had written a follow up to The Devil Wears Prada starring Emily, Miranda's first assistant, I said "sign me up!" lol What a great read! Emily is falling apart. She's had a successful career being an image consultant but is hopeless with social media. She ends up in the suburbs with her friend Miriam who was a successful lawyer in NYC before giving it up to be a stay at home mom in CT. Enter Karolina, a former supermodel who is married to an up and coming senator who is arrested for drunken driving when she was not drunk. Hijinks ensue when these three women get together to renovate Karolina's image. Loved it!
Thanks to NetGalley and Simon and Schuster for this ARC in return for my honest review.

Lauren Weisberger is back with her Devil Wears Prada crew and it is like a visit with old friends . Great addition to the trio .

I loved the Devil Wears Prada. And I didn’t like many of the author’s other books. So I started reading this book with pretty low expectations. I am happy to report that this one is a winner! It was snarky and just plain fun. The characters are over the top but that just makes it hilarious. I just wish there were drawings because I wanted desperately to see what everyone looked like, mostly Karolina. I kept picturing Jessica Rabbit. Fun, fun, fun!

The Devil Wears Prada is the premiere defining "chick lit" - This third book in the series is no different. Emily is back and is....still a bitch. She's living in LA and is a career consultant or an image consultant or some other vague job that doesn't seem real.

Miriam, Emily's long time friend, has moved to Greenwich with her three children and husband and is slowly adjusting to life in suburbia. Miriam's friend, Karolina - a former model and current wife of a Senator - is arrested for drunk driving while carrying a carload of kids.

What happens is what most people would call a romp. It's predictable and focusing a large portion of the story on revenge and motherhood. Maybe it's a glamorous life that appeals to some people but for me - it seems miserable. Still...it's a book that isn't to be taken too seriously. It's fun. It's campy. It's full of labels and name dropping. It's a perfect light hearted summer read.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book .

Pour yourself a glass of wine (or a poolside frothy, fruity drink) and settle in with this women's lit - chick lit grown-up - tale by author Lauren Weisberger. I'll admit it. I'm a longtime fan of "The Devil Wear's Prada" from years before, this is a new setting for our heroine who now is a social media guru whose "fixer" methods are threatened by a young up and comer.

This story has it all from the high fashion world of New York, the Los Angeles glitz and glamour where stars walk the streets, and of course- - the Lululemon wearing crowd of the housewives of Bethesda and Greenwich. Marriage, motherhood, sex, and scandal are all part of this grand adventure into the lives of three friends, deftly written by Weisberger.

I thoroughly enjoyed the characters, suburban setting, and the twists and turns of this summer beach read. Remember the cover. You'll be seeing it at resorts across the nation all summer long.

When I first read The Devil Wears Prada by Laura Weisberger several years ago, I loved Andy Sachs...and kind of hated Emily Charlton. For those who have read The Devil Wears Prada, you probably understand. For those of you who haven't, just imagine the most condescending, hateful coworker you have ever had...and multiply the negativity of their attitude by a thousand...and you have Emily Charlton. By the end of the book, she had grown on me, but she still wasn't a character with whom I was very invested.

However, when I first heard about When Life Gives You Lululemons, I was intrigued by the idea of catching up with Emily in the years since her job at Runway and the events of The Devil Wears Prada. I have never read Revenge Wears Prada, the first follow-up to the original, but just as with the original, reading it is not necessary at all in order to enjoy When Life Gives You Lululemons.

When Life Gives You Lululemons focuses on the lives of three very different women. Emily Charlton, the notorious Emily from The Devil Wears Prada, is just as feisty as ever, but at 36-years-old, married, and a successful crisis handler and stylist for big-name celebrities, she has finally gotten out from under the influence of her former boss, Miranda Priestly. When a new, social-media savvy competitor starts stealing her clients and with her husband away on business, she finds herself licking her wounds at the Hamptons home of an old friend--high-powered lawyer-turned-housewife and stay-at-home-mom, Miriam. In the midst of everything, Miriam's friend, a former supermodel named Karolina, is arrested for drunk driving with her 12-year-old son and his friends in the vehicle. The three women come together in a quest to find answers about what happened that night and develop meaningful relationships with one another as a result.

As a girl who has spent her entire life in rural Kentucky, the life described in When Life Gives You Lululemons is very foreign to me. In fact, the nearest place where one can even buy Lululemon clothing is two hours away, and the nearest Starbucks is several towns over. I don't have any friends who go to spin class, I only know one person who drives a Range Rover, and I can almost guarantee that no one I know had an account that was revealed by AshleyMadison.com. Throughout When Life Gives You Lululemons, the superficiality of the lives of the characters is a prominent theme, and I definitely could not relate to the struggles of having a house that is TOO big or discovering an $1100 charge for a throw blanket on a credit card statement (I mean, that's more than most house payments where I live). However, Laura Weisberger highlights many issues that are common, regardless of where a person is from or how much money he or she has to spend.

Through the alternating chapters that focus on each of the three primary characters of Emily, Miriam, and Karolina, Weisberger enables readers to see that women today face the same pressures to be perfect wives, perfect mothers, and perfect human beings in general. Miriam's conflicting feelings about being a stay-at-home mom after having such a successful law career, Emily's struggle with getting older and the competitive nature of her job, and Karolina's journey through the grief of losing her marriage, her son, and her reputation are all things that are relatable to everyone, whether living in New York City or a town in Kentucky with only four stoplights. One of the things that Weisberger does best in When Life Gives You Lululemons is showing readers that we are all connected by the same pressures of marriage, motherhood, or careers. Through the bonds formed by Emily, Miriam, and Karolina, Weisberger also shows that although the specifics of our experiences are different, authentic friendships with people who are not afraid to be honest while also being supportive are what sustain us through difficult moments and support us through celebratory ones as well.

Don't let my assessment fool you, however. When Life Gives You Lululemons is not dripping with saccharine and motivational statements. This is a book full of spunk, sharp criticisms of superficiality, and unabashed truths about how life changes after having children. There are scenes where women who are generally well-put-together throw up on themselves (and their friends), bleed through their pajama pants, and eat their children's leftover macaroni and cheese. There are marriages that implode, explode, and thrive. There are children who throw tantrums, get in trouble, and ask for snuggles before bed. And there are a lot of laughs...primarily courtesy of Emily and her sass.

Don't expect this book to provide you with profound insights into life. Instead, expect it to provide you with an entertaining way to pass your time, a few new insights into the lives of the elite, and solid prose that helps fun characters come to life.

Lauren Weisberger is always a hit! Thank you Simon Schuster and NetGalley for providing me with an advanced copy of this book.

Featuring three very different women, they come together to form a book you don't want to leave behind when you head to the beach this summer. This book is fun, and should be enjoyed in the sun with a cocktail.

There are several obvious ties to the original The Devil Wears Prada, but I think this books stands firmly on its own. With female friendships and independence as the backbone, it's a fun story perfect for summer reading.

This is a good beach read - no more, no less. If you like this series, this will be a fun, fast read. It was funny but not hilarious. It was definitely about first world problems but you can't expect more from this series, really, can you? I do love Emily forever and ever as a character and glad to have a fast read with this one! ❤

When Life Gives You Lululemons comes out soon on June 5, 2018, and you can purchase HERE.

"You don't want kids?"

"Of course not. You do?"

Miles squinted and, incidentally, looked very cute doing so. "Yeah, I do."

"Mmm, maybe," Emily had said, but only so he didn't think she was a heartless bitch of devoid of all maternal instincts when they'd just met. And she wasn't!

This book is the perfect book for just relaxing in the beach or next to a pool. You can say that this book is the perfect summer book that just makes you smile on every chapter. When I first heard about this book I was excited to read it because I’m a big fan of the Devil Wears Prada movie. And this book met the expectations that I was expecting. Loved, loved, loved this book with all my heart.

This book includes an amazing set of characters that are so transparent, funny, and entertaining. I could not expect more from this book and I feel like many people especially women will like this book as much as I did.

Overall, reading, When Life Gives You Lululemons, feels like a breath of fresh air. I could not put it down at all. As mentioned above, it’s the perfect relaxing and summer book that would make any one’s summer vacation way better. I personally liked this book because I have never laugh so much in my entire life with a book.

Warning:
~ If you are not a fan of the fashion world or you don’t follow up with models and brands you would not have as much fun as I did with this book. But it would still be equally entertaining for readers.
~ You will laugh like never before with a book so don’t read it next to somebody else because you will be annoying them.
~ I will also try to follow up with The Devil Wear Prada movie or books because this book would be clearer and essentially more entertaining.

Outside of the fact that these characters are not living how most of the world's population lives, their relationships with each other seemed very realistic. Great read!

This was easily the BEST installment in the Devil Wears Prada series! It revolved around real issues while keeping a fun, humorous tone. The character development among the three main characters was flawless. The author made me become a personal fan of each character, rooting for their successes and against their enemies. Perfect, lighthearted novel! Absolutely recommend.
