Ace of Hearts by Chantal Fernando is a good fit for readers looking for a steamy romance novel with a focus on biker culture and the unconventional relationships that can form within it.

This is the first book in Chantal Fernando's The Cursed Ravens MC series.
Erin Dawson has just learned that her parents have been lying to her for all her 21 years. The man she calls Dad is actually her step-dad and he and her mom had her birth certificate faked to hide it from her.
Erin learns that her biological father is actually a member of the Cursed Raven's Motorcycle Club and she sets out immaterially to find him. When she arrives at the Club House everything makes an impression. From the Saturday night party to seeing and meeting Ace for the first time and finally meeting her dad."It’s not every day a man finds out he has a daughter, and the woman he had one with decided not to tell him. ..... His reaction to finding out about me is killing me,"

“The Cursed Ravens’ princess, the one we didn’t even know we fucking had, has returned.”

Erin and Ace fall hard for each other. Is it possible to sense someone’s energy and just feel as though you know something about that person?" For these two the slight age difference does not matter. "“You’re bold for someone so young,” he murmurs, tucking my hair back behind my ear. “Age doesn’t mean anything, Ace. Connection does.”"

Then things become clear for Erin, danger is closing in all around with someone trying to kill her. "“Someone in your clubhouse poisoned me. I hear you’re the VP, so it’s kind of on you too, right?” That sobers him, even though I only meant it as a joke. “Whoever did this will be dealt with accordingly.” He pauses, winces, and adds, “Unless your dad or Ace gets to them first. Then they will be dead." And her relationship with Ace is not what she thought it was. "I feel so embarrassed and ashamed that this has happened. I’ve never felt anything before like I did with Ace, and the whole thing was a joke to him. Maybe all he did see me as was a young, trusting, and naïve girl who he could use, probably because he could tell just how much I liked him. Maybe that’s why he didn’t want to sleep with me. Maybe he was just following orders. What word did Dad use? Oh yes, tactic. I know he liked me to some extent, I do. You can’t fake some of the feelings and emotions between us, but I shouldn’t have to question that. They speak of loyalty above all else, well, where was their loyalty to me? They call me the princess of the Cursed Ravens MC, but they treated me like a puppet."

If you like young adult romance with a side of a motorcycle club of hot, alpha males, you’ll like this romance. Erin and Ace make a cute couple. Erin is 21 years old and she’s both sweet and tough. She’s a college student and still pretty immature. Ace is seven years her senior. It’s lust at first sight but it does take a little time to build to the hot sex scenes. This is a familiar trope with the girl setting out to find her biological father, whom she didn’t know about until just recently. Of course he’s the president of the Cursed Ravens MC. Erin fits right in with the guys and Daddy turns out to be a big softie when it comes to his baby girl. He’ll do anything to keep her around. Erin prefers to go back to college and party with her friends. Ace follows and grovels sufficiently to get back into her good graces. There’s no cheating but there is healthy dose of drama, drama, drama. The MC perspective is really lite with very little focus on exactly what the club does. If you like a sweet romance, hot sex scenes, a bevy of hot alphas who become bff’s of Erin’s and a dose of drama, you’ll love this one.

Chantal Fernando has this great ability to write MC stories that are suspenseful and entertaining making you not want the story to end. I really liked the characters within the story and they made for a great story.

Chantal Fernando has created another addicting MC series that we can devoured in our kindle. It is a new MC series with new faces but it will bring up some familiar faces that will be unexpected yet enjoyable to read.
Ace of Hearts starts off with a bang by Erin showing up alone at the MC headquarters to meet her biological father that she never knew she had. Eric never knew that she had a biological father until she discovers that her so called father was not her father at all. And from there, she decided to discover who is her father . It may be risky move but Erin is ballsy woman when she needs to be which brings us back to her showing up at MC headquarters. And she definitely makes reputation for herself and Ace.

Ace is unexpected surprise about Erin but he cannot help himself when he draw to her. Ace is formidable force around the MC that no one messes with him. But he is also an lady man that he has no shortage for woman. Yet he is draw to Erin and he is going to keep her no matter what. And it will bring some challenges because there will be some secrets expose but push come to shove exposing truth will make everything better.
While Erin and Ace form their relationship, we get hear someone unexpected but definitely worth the news. I definitely will not spoil the new.
Ace of Hearts will draw in MC reader fans never before. Five stars!

Ace of Hearts was an adorable read! Erin is a refreshing character-she is sassy and funny. and I loved how she was interacting with all the guys in the MC. The story is told entirely from Erin's POV so you aren't really getting the details of the MC. The club isn't the focus of the story and that was a refreshing change in an 'MC romance'. Although, I also have to tell I am not a real fan of the MC style, this book totally sucked me in. I would totally recommend it.

What an amazing story! Erin demonstrated strength and determination to follow her dreams. Meeting her dad for the first time filled a hole in her heart she always knew something was missing from her life. Walking through the door of the MC clubhouse she had one goal in mind. Meeting her dad. However she found her heart and the one man who would love her for everything she was. Great story.

Growing up, Erin thought she had a pretty ideal life. Until, that is, she discovers she's actually adopter, and that the man she thinks of as her father is actually her step father.

Her real father, however, is a bit of a mystery and after a little digging around, she discovers he is the president of a motorcycle club. One of the tough, hard living, clubs parents warn you to stay away from kind of MC...although I am not sure there are any other kind? No way this can go well, and I admit I was immediately interested in how this was going to go. Erin, as most of us would, found herself faced with a completely foreign world and a father who lives a life she has nothing in common with.

Ace, after the surprise of Erin showing up wears off, is tasked with watching out for her, and keeping her safe. Of course, there is an attraction between them, and it is complicated by the fact that she is the daughter of the president of the club and Ace is a member.

There's an element of the forbidden beyond the MC aspect of this that made it fun, however there was a lot of time spent developing the other characters who will be featured in other stories, so this one left me wanting a little bit more of Ace and Erin. However, overall I did enjoy this title and I do recommend it.

Loved this MC Romance. The author has given us a wonderful storyline and characters that you can’t help but fall in love with. They are sassy, funny, strong-willed, determined and protective.

Erin has just learned the man she has always known as her Dad isn’t her biological father. Determined to learn about her real father she takes off for the Cursed Raven MC. She soon learns that her Dad is President is the MC, which in turn makes her the club’s Princess and off limits. A fact that Ace struggles with as he is instantly drawn to the sexy Erin and her to him from the moment their eyes meet.

As Erin begins to learn about her father and MC life, she soon finds herself in danger. While her dad, Ace and the club’s VPs try to keep her safe, secrets come out and trusts are broken. Will Erin go back to the life she’s always known and leave her Dad, Ace and the Cursed Ravens behind? Will she be safe even if she leaves? Erin is a strong willed girl and doesn’t take crap from anyone. Will that be her downfall or give her strength to endure?

This is a fantastic start to a new MC series and this reader is extremely excited about this book as well as book 2 “Knuckles”. I Highly Recommend Reading Ace of Hearts, you won’t regret it. 2 Thumbs Up!!!

I love MC books. It has to be one of my favorite tropes. I was really excited when this author started another MC series. This book was a good start to the new series.

Erin has just learned that she is not who she thought she was growing up. She is on a search for her biological father and it leads her to the Cursed Ravens MC and Ace. I loved Erin. She wasn’t willing to put up with people’s crap and let them try and manipulate her into doing what they wanted. She was strong, independent, loving and kind. I loved that she found a part of herself she always thought was missing and it was in the family of the MC.

Ace is an ambitious, hot, sweet, man. He stole my heart. The attraction and tension between him and Erin was off the charts. I loved that he was protective of Erin from the beginning.

There were a few questions that I had left unanswered and I am hoping maybe they will be answered in the following books. I really need to know why some thing happened and the motivation of some of the characters. I am looking forward to reading about some of the other Cursed Raven members and the feisty ladies that steal their hearts.

This series starter had more of a new adult (NA) feel to it than I was expecting. It was also far tamer than a lot of other MC romances that I've read over the years (and I've read QUITE a bit of that particular romance sub-genre). Erin was feisty but she was also a rather fun girl, turning out to be nothing like I had imagined in my head going into the book. I liked Ace, as well, but again, he--along with the rest of the MC--was like MC Light (and no, I'm not talking about a rapper of any sort). I would have hoped there was a bit more grit to the overall feel of the story, but in terms of the romance aspect, it was a good enough read, especially if you're into lighter reads. My fingers are crossed, however, that we get more oomph and excitement in the next two books. Ace of Hearts garners 3.5 stars. ♥

This is my first novel from this author but I can honestly say she is amazing. Her writing style and laughable characters make flying through the pages such a breeze.
Erin finds out her biological dad is part of the MC. Only she gets so much more than she bargined for.
Ace is mysterious at first, dark and kind of brooding. He makes her stop and take notice the very first meeting.
Erin grows so much from her time getting to know her dad's MC family. She starts to change and embrace everything that goes with it.
Yet parents always want to control you and not everyone is happy she was found.
I enjoyed getting to know this MC that really is one big family!

This book was amazing from start to finish, I loved how feisty Erin is and how determined Ace is! Erin goes through a lot in such a short space when seeking out her father who is the President of an M.C Club, the fact that she went in there not knowing the consequences shows the kind of girl she is and then you have Ace who literally has sex on tap but is blown away by the apperance of Erin.

It's a fab story with lots of character, action and sexiness to it, this is an M.C bok you really can't go wrong with reading.

I recieved an advanced copy and I'm a fan of Chantal Fernando and have loved all her books.

Erin is 21 years old and just found out that her life is a lie, well most of it anyway. The man she has known as her father, isn't her father at all. And she is on the doorstep of the place where her dad lives, and she is not sure she should be here. Not only is there a loud party going on, but it is a motorcycle club to boot. So, she walks right in like she belongs and demands to see Gage. When one of the bikers grabs her like she might be there to cause damage, she is taken to him. She can't believe what she sees, he is in a room with a naked woman asleep behind him. And he can't believe what she is telling him.

Ace notices the innocent girl when she first walks in and wonders why she is here. When he finds out she is the club president's daughter, this princess is off limits. He is drawn to her and she isn't making it easy to stay away from her. Ace is tasked with keeping Erin safe, and the more they spend together the closer they become. Until she overhears a conversation between Gage and Ace that has her running back home.

Will Erin learn the truth about the conversation and forgive Gage and Ace? Who at the club is trying to get rid of Erin and why? Can Erin and Ace make a future together? Will she forgive her parents for the lie they kept from her most of her life?

This is a really good story that had me glued to my Kindle and turning the pages to find out what happened next. I can't believe this is a first for me from this author, but it will not be the last. I can't wait for more from this series.

New series and author for me and while the book was mildly entertaining, it was very formulaic and slightly immaturely written. I found the main character extremely cliché and with many illusions of grandeur. Erin embarks on a journey to find her real father after discovering her untainted birth certificate. Her father turns out to be the president of the motorcycle club, The Cursed Ravens. Erin enters the clubhouse full of bravado and instantly is loved by all the members. Except the women of the club who hate her, which results in a fight and an attempt on Erin's life. The treasurer falls in love with Erin in the biggest case of insta-love ever. I found it all a bit overdone and same old, same old. But, I didn't have to DNF (did not finish) and read the entire story, including the predictable epilogue. So all in all, I was entertained but not overly interested.

I was excited to read the first book in The Cursed Ravens MC. I thought the premise sounded interesting and wanted to learn all about the MC along with Erin, but that didn't really work the way I was hoping.

Erin is a 21-year-old girl who just found out that the father she's known and grown up with, isn't her biological dad. As any inquisitive child would do, she goes to meet her biological father! Erin acts much younger than her 21 years. She's a bit bratty and has very high expectations. Within two hours of showing up at the club, she has all but fallen in love with Ace, and demands her dad's attention. I'm just not a fan.

The main focus of the story is Erin and Ace, I was hoping for more background info on the MC itself. The guys went on "runs," but there was no mention of what they were really doing. Honestly, I felt like the members, with the exception of Rogue, really didn't have any personality.

I had a hard time getting into this story, the lack of emotion, the lack of chemistry just didn't do it for me. If you're looking for a romance story that has a motorcycle involved, this would be perfect. If you're looking for a gritty MC romance, I wouldn't recommend this.

This isn’t your typical MC romance and not in a great way. This was an okay read but I really felt that the main character was extremely immature, especially at the beginning of the book.

Erin Dawson was raised by her mother and the man she thought was her father, until she finds a birth certificate proving otherwise. Now she’s on a mission to find her birth father – which leads her to the door of the Cursed Ravens MC. From the moment she walks through the doors she can’t take her eyes of the handsome Ace and Ace is ready to have at her until she reveals who she is – the president’s daughter – which makes her officially off limits.

Once Erin meets her father, her immaturity begins to flourish – to me, Erin became very entitled after she finds out her father is the MC president and I just really didn’t much care for her character. I really like the story itself, it had an interesting plotline and a good pace – I just couldn’t really stand Erin. I love the MC guys, they’re interesting and I’m looking forward to them getting their own stories. I also really loved Erin’s best friend – enough that I almost wish Ace had wound up with her instead, lol.

Loved this first book!!!

I loved this series. Chantal Fernando is a new author for me and I started with this first book of the series. I've read books with MC clubs before and I usually find them grittier and darker. I guess this could be considered MC-lite. I actually liked that it wasn't as dark and harsh as other biker books. It is a little bit refreshing in that regard, but it felt slightly like I was in biker Disneyland and it was just a little too perfect.

The story is told all through Erin's POV, but it isn't too hard to figure out what Ace is thinking, so I'm not at all upset it was only one POV. I did think that Erin was slightly a bit OTT bratty and mouthy especially since she was raised by her mom who is a straitlaced teacher and her stepdad who is also a teacher. I think the author wanted to point out that she had that rebellious nature from her real dad and she never really fit in with her conservative family and that she felt like she was different. But I think it was slightly hard for me to swallow that she would just walk into a biker home and really be that fearless. I did like Ace's character, though it is a little hard to really determine how he is since we are only moving through the story from Erin's eyes, but from the limited view we had I thought the author did a great job.

Between the slight lack of grittiness and realism of a biker story and Erin's slightly annoying character I took off one star for this, but it is the first book of the series and I plan on continuing to read the rest of the series. The price for the other books looks like it is about $5 so it's not too bad, though I'm hoping there will be a sale. At least it isn't $8 which is what each of the books in the Wind Dragons series is costing.

Ace of Hearts is book one in her new Cursed Raven’s MC (motorcycle club) series. I am a huge fan of her earlier Wind Dragons MC club series and had to add this to my reading list ASAP! While I didn’t find myself as addicted to these guys as the Wind Dragon Bikers (seriously, love! Book 1, Dragon’s Lair is one of my most enjoyed biker club novels ever).

The Cursed Ravens have a princess and she’s coming home – both facts unbeknownst to club president and surprise father, Gage. His world is rocked when Erin shows up on his club house foot steps. Immediately, she’s dubbed club princess and off-limits to all members because, father knows best- and he knows his men. Only one club officer can’t keep his heart out of her grasp. Ace is taken with Erin and their connection turned illicit romance will shake up more than club business!

Ace of Hearts is the first novel in Chantal Fernando’s new MC series, the Cursed Raven MC and is another deeply sexy, humourful and entertaining biker tale full of her trademark passion and familial feel.

Twenty-one year old Erin Morretti has lived the perfect life; she grew up in a beautiful house with a white picket fence, two perfect parents and the best little sister….until she learns it’s all a lie. After discovering her original birth certificate, Erin learns that the man she thought was her “dad” is actually her stepdad and her biological father a member of a motorcycle club in the city. Erin soon sets out to meet him, walking into the heart of the club with her head held high and her determination set. Getting to know her real father is an eye opening experience as is Cursed Raven’s member Ace, who is older than her and all kinds of off limits. Breaking rules is something Erin is good at and soon she finds herself falling for Ace but when Erin discovers both he and her father have secrets will the trust they share be damaged irrevocably?

On the whole I’m not really a fan of biker romances as I tend to be too hard-core for my tastes but do I ever love Chantal Fernando’s MC novels! They seem to be an exception to the rule for me as they continually manage to steal my heart time and time again. There’s something about the way she writes them that appeals to me and Ace of Hearts is no exception.

Introducing readers to fiery and stubborn main character Erin who is highly likable with a cheeky and rebellious side, Chantal Fernando once more presents to the promising world of bikers with Ace of Hearts. Personally I really liked Erin and I’m so excited about the prospect of getting to know some of the other Cursed Raven members. Knuckles, Rogue, possibly even Shack and Erin’s father Gage hold so much potential and I’m looking forward to seeing more of them as the series progressed.

Sexy, suave and passionately dark, Ace of Hearts kicks of what I’m sure will be another brilliant MC series from Chantal Fernando! I can’t wait to read more as I have no doubt I’m going to fall in love with each and every one of these boys!

Ace of Hearts is Chantal Fernando's first book of her new series, The Cursed Ravens. The series will bring her fans back to the MC world. It follows Erin Dawson, the unknown princess of the MC. I'm a fan of Ms. Fernando's books and this one is no different. I can't wait to see more from this series and excited to get more from the characters introduced in Ace of Hearts.

"WELCOME HOME, ERIN. SORRY WE WERE ASSHOLES. I have to admit the Cursed Raven's party signs are hilarious and my favorite part of the series.

Erin comes to find her father and what she finds is a whole new family. Ace is drawn to Erin immediately. And even though Ace is forbidden to date the prez's new found daughter. It doesn't stop the attraction between the two of them. Its not long before they give in and Ace and Erin's relationship goes into hyperdrive.

With Gage, Erin's father he knows the MC world but being a father is all new to him and he screws up a long the way. Even while someone is trying to get rid of Erin they are wading through this new bound.

It was cute but too quick paced and at what happens in the epilogue is quite a turn around especially since Erin's parents hadn't even met Ace a month previously.

Cute, but too quick paced

My first introduction to Chantal Fernando's writing was the Wind Dragons MC series, and I have continued to enjoy each book that she has published. This new biker series has been entertaining too, and I've loved getting to know new characters, as well as getting a small glimpse of a character from the first series!

Right from the opening chapter where Erin walks into the Cursed Ravens MC I knew she was going to be a character I was going to enjoy reading about. She was willing to go after what she wanted and would stand up for herself when needed. She formed long term friendships quickly and fell into the MC world easily.

Ace was the typical biker that I expected him to be. He was tough and intimidating, and he knew what he wanted as soon as he laid eyes on Erin. It was amusing seeing him struggle with his connection with Erin as she was supposed to be left alone, but he realised he couldn't fight his heart!

I really enjoyed being in this world. It was good to see that Erin continued to have a good relationship with her family and kept her previous friendships while still making new friends. I like that the Cursed Ravens MC aren't as bad as some out there, but I'm still not 100% sold on them being so good. Chantal Fernando always creates characters that I want to know more about. The world feels realistic and her writing is so fluent and easy to get lost in. I saw a glimpse of a character that was introduced in the Wind Dragons MC series, and I'm hoping we get to know more about her soon!
