The Cursed Ravens MC series book #1

This is my first book by Chantal Fernando. I wasn't sure about trying a new to me author, but the cover of this book was what initially grabbed me, so I took a chance.
21 year old Erin has just found out that the father she grew up with isn't her biological father. To her further amazement, she discovers her birth father is the president of The Cursed Ravens MC. Upon her arrival at the clubhouse she is immediately taken with the club man whore, Ace.
Ace is kinda delicious sounding. And he has that bad boy alpha thing going for him. I can see why she wanted him. I liked Ace from the get go. He's tough and gritty, but he's also a good guy. He doesn't play games, and he makes it very clear that he's into Erin.
I'm going to be honest here, I didn't care for Erin much. I know she's only 21, but her maturity level seemed more appropriate for a bratty 17 year old. She constantly rubbed me the wrong way. I kept wondering why Ace liked her so much...aside from her boobs and ass. Erin was a real distraction for me, and not in a good way. Her whining was constant and irritating. But I liked the rest of the characters, so I pushed on.
The secondary characters in this book were a hoot! They were the reason I didn't DNF this book. The plot was great. The writing was good, but again, Erin drove me batty. I liked the other MC members enough that I'll definitely read the next book in the series. Though I struggled to connect with the immature heroine, this is a good start to a new series. I'm glad I gave this book a chance.
Ok, so I wasn’t too sure about this new series, not to mention a new author, but when the comparison was made to one of my favorites, Kristen Ashley, I figured I’d give it a try. Plus the story blurb and the cover were too hot to resist, so I figured what-the-hey. I also need to add that I am rarely a fan of first-person POV in a romance because it takes a truly gifted author to make me enjoy it as much as I would if it was written in third-person, so that gave me a bit of trepidation as well. All that said, I truly enjoyed Ace and Erin’s story and I look forward to reading more in this series and by this author as well. Erin has thrown caution to the wind and run away from home to meet her birth father, now that she knows she has been lied to her entire life, but she never knew the world she would find herself embroiled in when she found him. Erin has led a mostly sheltered life and finding herself suddenly the princess of a motorcycle club and instantly in lust with an overbearing and sexy biker is way out of her comfort zone. Ace has no idea what he is getting into when he takes it upon himself to lead Erin into her new life and he is falling for her quickly, but when Erin runs from him, he learns that the connection has become a part of him that he cannot live without. Erin was a bit of a wishy-washy one, even if she had moment or two of strength and I found myself unsure if I liked her or not right up until the end when she truly proved to me that she is going to grow into a woman that will be a bitch in the best sense of the word! Ace was a tricky one, but once I got to know him I loved him, even more than Erin did and I want to find me a man just like him for myself. Bad ass bikers, drama, danger, and amazing men leading life their own way is going to lead to an interesting series, so I am looking forward to the next story in the series, Knuckle Down, which I intend to read very, very soon. I think I may have another author quickly becoming a favorite.
I love that we are getting a new MC series from Chantal Fernando! Ace Of Hearts was a great start to a new series. I didn’t want to put this one down and I was hooked within a few minutes of reading. I love the premise that a biker’s daughter didn’t know that her real dad was in an MC and ends up being the President of the MC as well. Finding out who your real father was could have gone a bunch of different ways for Erin, but I loved the way this one played out.
Erin’s mom lied to her about who her biological father was, and when she finds out she sets out to meet him. What begins as a possible get to know her real dad turns into something more. She didn’t plan on Ace, a member of her dad’s MC, and she also didn’t plan on falling for the sexy biker either. Ace and Erin have a chemistry that is undeniable and watching these two get together is a sexy ride that is also filled with some heartache and secrets.
I am excited to see the direction that this series is going to take and I am excited for the second book already!
This is the first Chantal Fernando book that I have ever read and..... I'M A FAN!!!!
I really enjoyed that we didn't have to wait for the story to be drawn out. Right from the get go we meet Erin, and know immediately why she has shown up on the door step of The Ravens MC. Erin, is on a mission to meet the father that she never knew was her biological father. She never knew the man that raised her was not her "bio dad." Family secrets have created this meeting and now Erin, is stepping into a world she knows nothing about. Meeting an man that could easily turn her away and crush her. Little did she know that day, she would be meeting two men that could crush her.
Ace, is taken with Erin, as soon as he lays eyes on her. This urge to protect her form the eyes of his fellow Ravens is powerful. But, at what cost? She is the newly crowned Princess and is off limits and he is a solider in her father's MC. Rules and consequences be damned, when they collide nothing matters.
This is a GREAT BOOK! I loved it. I loved that is was not a slow burn book, but also not an insta love story. The story flow was fantastic and the timeline was believable. I often get caught up in the little details and it casts a small black cloud on the book for me. Nope, not this one.
There was the right amount of sexiness, mystery and angst. I would have loved for it to be a little longer, but that is the greedy reader in me, wanting more of Ace and Erin!
like a good MC read but this book fell short. I liked the storyline of a girl finding out her father is president of a MC but I didn't like Erin, the main character. She whined a lot and it was annoying..it didn't fit in with MC reads...she would have been kicked out if anyone else did that in the Club. The book was a good read but didn't have anything special with the plot.
I loved this I was so eager to dive into another MC book from Chantal Fernando. I loved her Wind Dragons MC book and also her Maybe This Time Series as well. I enjoy the fierce lead female characters that she writes about. This was different from her other MC Series with a different take but, with the same action you would expect and drama and angst. I can't wait to read more about these men and their ole ladies.
The New York Times bestselling author of the “swoonworthy and addicting” (Kim Karr, New York Times bestselling author) Wind Dragons Motorcycle Club series is back with more bad boy bikers in this first novel in the Cursed Ravens Motorcycle Club series.
Erin Dawson had the perfect life growing up in a perfect home with a perfect family. Her parents gave her and her sister everything a child could want. But after learning that the man she’s called “dad” her whole life isn’t actually her biological father, Erin is determined to find the man who is.
Armed with her original birth certificate, she finds her father, but begins questioning if her mom had been right all along to keep this information buried. It turns out he is the president of a motorcycle club, which could not be further from the life Erin leads. But, she’s determined to get to know the man who she gets her striking blue eyes from. Despite getting what she wants and finding her biological father, it’s the slightly older, much rougher but incredibly sexy biker Ace that catches Erin’s eye.
As the new “princess” of the Cursed Ravens, Erin is learning a whole new world, but her father has made it clear she is off limits. Will Ace follow his President’s orders or will he put his heart ahead of his duty?
Review:
If you are new to MC books this would be a good starter. First, it is the first in a new series, so you can get on board at the beginning. Secondly, it is lighter in feel than a lot of MC books. The story also has witty dialogue and has a light side to the whole book. A lot of MC books have a lot of blatant violence and sex. While there are sexy times and a little mild violence it is not hard core, it is much more about the characters. I loved that Erin goes all in trying to find her Dad and becoming familiar with the MC lifestyle. She tough and does not take crap from no one, love her. Ace is pretty great too, but Erin was my favorite. I loved reading about her and her interactions with the club members. There is a little mystery woven into the story too. The Author really did a great job writing a book that kept me interested and invested in the characters.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and look forward to the next book coming out.
4Stars
*I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book provided by the publisher.*
I really loved and enjoyed this one. Started off a little slow for me but then picked up. I loved the character of Ace and all the other members. cant wait to read there stories as well.
Ace of Hearts was an adorable read! Erin is a delightful character-she is vivacious and funny. I loved her interactions with all the guys in the MC. I also loved that the story is told entirely from Erin's POV so you aren't really getting the details of the MC. The club isn't the focus of the story and that was a refreshing change in an 'MC romance'.
Erin and Ace are certainly opposites in many ways. She was raised in the country by 2 loving parents. Ace's life is very rough-left home young, sleeps around a lot, willing to do anything for the MC. But, when Erin finds out her dad isn't her dad, she is determined to meet her real father and get to know him. Their interactions were very authentic. He doesn't know how to interact with a daughter and goes about it like he would his MC guys. Erin doesn't really understand the 'rules' of their world and isn't afraid to call them out or ask questions.
Erin and Ace have issues to overcome for sure: first, she is the prez's daughter and 'off limits'. Second, Ace is a manwhore whose past exploits are club girls who are still hanging around. Third, Ace is kind of hung up on their age difference (not that much of a difference though so I'm not sure what that was really about!). Finally, there is a miscommunication. You know this is my LEAST favorite trope, but it actually worked in this story and I didn't hate it!
If you like the gritty, alpha, no apologies type of heroes, you will love Ace. If you like the slightly sheltered, quirky, brave heroines you will adore Erin. Overall, I thought Ace of Hearts was delightful and endearing! I can't wait to read more in the series!
I’m a huge fan of MC romance series; I adored Chantal Fernando’s Wind Dragons Motorcycle Club series, so I was excited to dive into Ace of Hearts, the first book in Fernando’s new motorcycle series that focuses on the Cursed Ravens Motorcycle Club. There’s just something about being in the biker world, surrounded by badass alpha males who protect their own and go after what they want with grit and determination.
Erin Dawson’s world is nothing like the one she’s about to enter, but she’s hellbent on walking into the Cursed Ravens club and demanding a meeting with Gage who just so happens to be the Cursed Ravens’ president. But, as much as she thought she was ready to meet her father…as much as she’s always felt like the black sheep of her family, it’s clear that her world is about to be turned upside down in unimaginable ways, and when it comes down to it, she’ll have to decide if she’s ready to be the princess of the Cursed Ravens or go back to the sheltered world she never felt accepted in, letting go of any contact with her biological father or the biker who she was instantly attracted to as soon as their eyes connected.
As soon as Erin takes one step inside, she’s initiated into ‘club life,’ and her moniker of ‘Trouble’ seems to fit her to a T, and because Erin’s story is told from her own perspective, readers come along for the ride, experiencing every ‘first’ that Erin has, all the ups and downs that come with it, finding her way and understanding how things work inside a biker club as well as forcing her to either accept how it all works or move on from what might be a family of bikers that she’s always needed.
Erin’s a sassy, smart-mouthed heroine who can definitely handle herself in the environment she finds herself in, but there’s also a learning curve for her because she’s not used to the no holds barred attitude that dominates the Cursed Ravens’ bikers’ lives or the fact that not all of her questions will receive answers.
Ace is all about his club, his brothers, and the code they follow, but Erin is a game changer for him, and while she’s supposed to be off-limits due to her ‘princess’ status, what’s between them is undeniable, so they’re both willing to face whatever consequences might be handed down from Erin’s dad/Ace’s President.
I really enjoyed Ace’s Heart; the interactions between Erin and her dad as well as the growing bond between Erin and Ace. I did have a few issues with the conflict/main antagonists given the setting of the storyline and the potential threats that the club could face; it felt a bit too contrived, but even though I struggled with it, I get that there needed to be events/situations that would lead to Erin’s realization of where she truly belongs, and what occurred did get the job done.
I’m excited for Fernando’s new biker series, and I’m eager to be introduced to other members of the Cursed Ravens and see what trouble they can cause as well as see how these MC brothers react and handle the women who make these bikers’ lives both heavenly and hellish at the same time.

Summary (from Goodreads):
The New York Times bestselling author of the “swoonworthy and addicting” (Kim Karr, New York Times bestselling author) Wind Dragons Motorcycle Club series is back with more bad boy bikers in this first novel in the Cursed Ravens Motorcycle Club series.
Erin Dawson had the perfect life growing up in a perfect home with a perfect family. Her parents gave her and her sister everything a child could want. But after learning that the man she’s called “dad” her whole life isn’t actually her biological father, Erin is determined to find the man who is.

A sizzling tale of family and passion, Ace of Hearts features Fernando’s signature “snark and sass” (Booklist) and is perfect for fans of Kristin Ashley.
What I Liked:
This was an impulse read for me. I'd not heard of the book. I'd not heard of the author. But I stumbled upon this book on Edelweiss, and it sounded interesting, so I thought about giving it a chance. I've been in a massive reading slump for weeks, and the thought of just reading felt like too much. I am so behind in my review copies TBR, and I haven't had the zeal to read anything familiar. This book was totally unfamiliar and I've seen absolutely no early feedback for it (within my blogging circles), so I had no expectations for the book. I am so glad that I decided to give it a chance, because it was fresh and untouched and very good. I'd not heard of Chantal Fernando before, but I can see what critics are talking about, when they refer to her signature snark and sass, and great storytelling.
This is the first book in a new motorcycle club (MC) romance novel by Chantal Fernando. This author has written previous MC romances, but this series is new and separate. In this first novel, the heroine Erin has recently found out that her father isn't biological father - her biological father is a member of the Cursed Ravens motorcycle club. Erin decides to meet her father in person, and finds out that he is not only a member, but the president, and he had no idea she existed. Erin is welcomed with open arms, and she is labelled as the princess of the Cursed Ravens. She wants to develop a good relationship with her father... and maybe the sexy, brooding, intense man who didn't stop staring at her when she first came to the clubhouse. Erin has a lot to learn, and it isn't all fun and games. Is the new lifestyle worth it?
This book is written exclusively in Erin's POV, which was slightly disappointing at first (I love reading romance novels written in dual POV, with the hero and heroine's narratives). But I got over that quickly, because I simply loved reading from Erin's POV. She is sassy, tough, and bold. She says exactly what she means, and she doesn't play games. She goes after what she wants and doesn't let anyone sway her. There are times when she is vulnerable and unsure of herself, and I liked seeing this softer side of her. The tough, snarky side of her is so likable, too. She isn't rude and abrasive, but she does stand up for herself.
I adored Ace and so wish we could have gotten to read from his POV (though again, it was okay because I loved reading from Erin's). Ace comes across as the silent, brooding type. He is protective and alpha but not in an alphahole way. He is traditional is some ways, but very respectful and aware of Erin's boundaries. He doesn't push her, and he definitely doesn't want to go against her father's wishes (that no one touch her - she's off-limits). Ace is the blond-haired, grey-eyed sexy Viking that all the girls want, but he isn't an alphahole. He's a good guy with a lot of charm and broodiness.
I love the forbidden romance! Erin is supposed to be off-limits to all of the motorcycle club members, but she can't stop her attraction to Ace, and he can't stop his attraction to her. Their connection is undeniable, and they aren't the only ones that notice it. The tension builds as they risk more, and the chemistry gets steamier and steamier. Fernando does an excellent job of raising the tension and keeping the chemistry sizzling.
The chemistry is steamy and the romance is steamy but also very sweet. Ace and Erin are a cute couple who just click, and they get along very well. They are compatible in many ways, and it shows throughout the story. There is an age gap - Ace is twenty-eight, Erin is twenty-one - but they fit together regardless. Erin fights for her man and Ace fights for his girl, and this made me so happy.
I loved so many of the secondary characters! Gage (Erin's dad) is a complicated man, but you could see he was really trying to be a good dad to her. Knuckles is hilarious and adorable - a good friend to Erin, even if he is a big MC enforcer with two daughters. Rogue is probably my favorite (behind Ace), and I can't wait to read his book (book three, coming out in August). The MC members made this book even more worth reading - they're hilarious and also really good guys.
The conflict involves the forbidden romance, but also several attempts on Erin's life. Someone is trying to kill Erin, but how could it be a club member? There are several twists and turns to the ending. But the ending is a HEA for Ace and Erin. Things wrap up really well, which I wasn't quite expecting (Erin is doing one life path and Ace is doing another - but they end up compromising and it works out really nicely). I loved the ending. You all know how picky I am with happy endings!
What I Did Not Like:
Nothing specific! Perhaps more steamy scenes (and not just the alluded ones)? You can never go wrong with more written-out steamy scenes!
Would I Recommend It:
If you like MC romances, this is definitely one to try. I was laughing at Erin's snark constantly, I was swooning over Ace, I was sighing and fanning myself over Ace and Erin's chemistry, I was dying to see what comes next after the climax rolled around. There is a tiny bit of angst, but it's the best angst possible, and I loved it. I usually hate angst, so you'll have to trust me on this. No love triangle, very little drama, and a little angst. It was a great story!
Rating:
4.5 stars. I actually came across this book when I found book two on Edelweiss, and I read the first sentence and immediately decided not to read book two (Knuckle Down). The hero has two daughters so I was like NOPE, I don't read romance novels with children involved. But having read this book, which had the hero of book two featured, and the heroine of book two, I might actually read Knuckle Down. I loved Knuckles in this book, and I am curious to see what kind of match he and Celina will be. So perhaps I will read it!
I am a big fan of Chantal Fernando, her MC club books are addictive. So when i heard of this new series coming out i had to read it. A hot and addictive tale of finding out your true family and meeting a hot ass biker on the way. Ace is the sort of biker man i crave, alpha but sensitive if needed but protective and sexy and wanting to claim his woman - but when that woman is off limits all bets are off for Ace if h can keep his hands and mind to himself concerning Erin. I liked Erin i could most certainly feel her need to find out her true roots even if they where partly settled in an MC club. Romance ,some suspense and a swoon worthy alpha male in an MC club i want ot read more of the men there please Chantal :)
I received an ARC of this book for an honest review. I love a good MC book. And this did not disappoint. The heroine is a strong, feisty, mouthy woman, who makes me laugh at some of the stuff that comes out of her mouth. The hero is a strong confident man who gives her a run for her money. This was a great first installment to what I'm sure will be another great series.
Erin was way out of her comfort zone but was determined to finish what she came here to do. She was at the Cursed Raves MC clubhouse . Then she saw a guy and he was watching her like a wolf would watch his prey. Erin had never met any bikers before and a sleazeball tried to hit on her but then she asked for Gage by his full name- her father. Then she found out he was the President of the MC. Then Ace steps in and tells the sleazeball biker-Shank- to let go of her and one of the bikers says he will go tell Gage. Erin thinks of her sister Eden and how different they are as erin was the black sheep of her family and a little reckless. But now Erin understands why. Then Shank pulls her to take her to Gage and Ace is behind her. Gage didn’t know about Erin or that he had a daughter and wants to talk to her mother Louise when he finds out Louise kept knowledge that he had a daughter from him for twenty one years he threw Erin’s phone and started breaking things and Ace pulled her out of the room and made sure she was ok. Then when Gage has settled down he calls for Erin. He talks to her for a bit then shows her a room and tells her it’s her room. Then he tells Ace to take her to the hotel to get her bag. Then the next day he told Ace to take her shopping but all Erin got was her phone fixed and some food. Erin feels safe with Ace she has every since she met him. After Ace and Erin returns to the clubhouse Gage is there and had bought her a Harley just for her. Even though Gage is a stranger Erin feels connected to him. Erin has always done what she wanted to do. Unfortunately her heart usually leads instead of her head. Ace is just as attracted to Erin as she is to him but the bikers have been told hands off by Gage. Gage told Erin hge would teach her to ride her Harey erin didn’t have her drivers license because when she had been learning to drive she got in an accident that almost took her life. She hadn’t tried driving since. But she wanted to learn to drive her bike. She decided to spend some time with her dad as well as Ace as she really wanted him.
I loved this book. I read almost all of it in one session. I didn’t want to put this down and didn’t for long. This was an easy but a roller coaster of emotions romantic read. I loved the pace and the plot. I loved how Erin’s relationship with her dad , Ace, and the other members of the MC relationships grow. I loved how Gage and Erin interacted with each other as well as with Ace. It was just a excellent read as far as I am concerned. I happily didn’t find anything to criticize in this book. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend.
I was a little torn about this book since Chantal Fernando is one of my favorite authors. It started out good. No it started out great and the whole book is great but there were a few parts that seem a little slow to me which is why I gave it four stars. the rating I did. Erin is great! She has spent her whole life thinking her stepfather was her father and then when her mother tells her otherwise she goes in search of her real dad. Little did she know, he is the president of The Cursed Ravens MC and has no knowledge of her
Her father’s reaction to finding out he has a daughter that he never knew is perfect. While it is not all hearts and roses he is devastated to have lost so much time with his child. It shows in his reaction and is the perfect reaction for a man like him. he could have just as easily said she wasn’t his regardless of what her mother said. Ace catches Erin’s eye from the beginning and he is no stranger to the ladies. He has two of them the first time she sees him and she watches a different go into his room later that night. For him Erin’s intrigues him and I’m not sure if it is because his president put her off limits or not. He knows she’s trouble but maybe she’s the best kind of trouble. All in all this was a wonderful story and I can see this series becoming just as huge as the Wind Dragons MC series. Like I said there were a couple of parts early on that were slow. I am certain it was just a personal thing because I wanted them to get to the action.
Loved it. 100% could not put it down! If you love Chantal get it. No regrets. If you don’t know Chantal, get it anyways. You will have a new favorite author once you do. I have read a lot of her other books and have always been a huge fan. So of course I would love this...! If you enjoyed her Wind Dragons MC series then there is no doubt in my mind that this book is one you will enjoy as well! Chantal has a special way to connect with her readers. May it be the sexy dramatic protective male characters or the sweet charming badass women she creates. Either way you will be hooked until the very last page and even then you will be dying for the next book!
3.75 stars--ACE OF HEARTS is the first instalment in Chantal Fernando’s contemporary, adult THE CURSED RAVENS MC erotic, romance series focusing on the men and women of The Cursed Ravens MC. This is twenty-eight year old MC treasurer Carson ‘Ace’ Kendrick, and twenty-one year old nursing student Erin Dawson’s story line. The Cursed Ravens MC is a spin off from the author’s Wind Dragon MC series and advances the new series arc several years.
Told from first person point of view (Erin Dawson) ACE OF HEARTS follows Erin Dawson as she goes in search of her biological father. Always believing the man that raised her was her father, Erin Dawson soon discovers her original birth certificate naming someone else-Gage Liam Parker-the president of the Cursed Ravens MC. Determined to discover the truth, and meet the man who donated half of her DNA, Erin sets out to find the Cursed Ravens MC. Enter club treasurer Carson ‘Ace’ Kendrick, and the man with whom Erin will fall in love. What ensues is the ‘forbidden’ romance between Erin and Ace, and the potential fall-out as Erin is targeted by someone in the Cursed Ravens MC.
ACE OF HEARTS introduces the players and characters within the Cursed Ravens MC. From the over protective father-figure and president Gage Parker, to the smooth croonings of Rogue, Erin’s new bestie Knuckles, Gage's girlfriend Veronica, and bartender Dreads. From the outset Erin is welcomed as one of their own but someone is obviously not happy as she is targeted not once, but twice in an attempt to end her life. Erin’s new college roommate is Clover Black-the daughter of Sin and Faye (Wind Dragons MC).
Chantal Fernando pulls the reader into the world of the motorcycle club but most of the work and happenings of the MC takes place behind the scenes. The premise is flirty; the romance is provocative and passionate; the characters are colorful, charismatic and fun. ACE OF HEARTS is a bit of a vanilla story line as it pertains to the Cursed Ravens MC. I am hoping for a more ‘palpable and intense’ look at everything MC.

The hardest reviews to write are for books that are just okay. Like this one. For instance, I’ve started and stopped writing this three times…make that four. I knew I was taking a chance when I requested Ace of Hearts. Although Chantal Fernando’s Wind Dragons series had started out strong, by the end the series the books were hit and miss, well…mostly miss for me. I was hoping that a new series would be a fresh start but this one was just…okay.
I loved the idea of a woman who’s been raised in a very conservative lifestyle finding out that her father wasn’t her real Dad. Instead, her Dad is the President of a Motorcycle Club. This kind of fish out of water scenario should have been a slam dunk and it was interesting but I needed more emotions, more descriptions, and more depth. This felt flat to me.
Being mature is fucking hard work.
Part of my problem was that Erin was only twenty one and she acted it. Her immature reactions had me rolling my eyes more than once. She had a lot going on so on some level I understood, but she was all over the place. When I think of her aforementioned quote about being mature is hard work, I can’t help but observe that she needed to work even harder at it.
I liked Ace but everything we found out about him felt like just surface stuff. Other than falling into insta-love with Erin, there was no depth to him. He was alpha, hot, sweet and a bit gruff in a sexy way, but I don’t know what made him tick. I seriously wondered about his willingness to defy the order of Erin being off limits, but a twist at the end had me getting past that…somewhat. The whole scenario was kind of screwed up.
There was an abundance of interesting side characters that I do want to know more about. Erin’s father was a disaster, but I think in a well-meaning way, and some of the other brothers peaked my interest a little.
This would be a decent book to pick up if you are in desperate need of a biker fix and don’t mind a new adult feel to your reads. It does check off a lot of the biker book boxes like a hot sexy biker, a little action, and steamy hanky-panky, but for me at least, it wasn’t quite the stand out I wanted it to be.
Rating: 3 Decent Stars
Loved this MC Romance. The author has given us a wonderful storyline and characters that you can’t help but fall in love with. They are sassy, funny, strong-willed, determined and protective.
The more I read, the more it left me wondering what tone the author was going for. She does a lot of back and forth with the main characters regarding their personality traits. We’re told these bikers are tough and ruthless but we never see them act that way, they’re either talking like immature frat boys or being overly sweet and affectionate. Then there’s Erin, she’s ditzy, sarcastic, smart but naïve, trusting, suspicious, paranoid, aggressive, dominant, and fragile – all rolled into one confusing package. I just didn’t really connect with her. It was like she was a bit of everything but never really shaped up to be her own person.
This also had the typical MC drama. It wasn’t completely safe but it also wasn’t OTT with the unsafe aspects as most biker/MC books are, which I am grateful for.
Would I recommend? I would consider this one safe with exceptions. So if you're looking to venture into the biker/MC romance genre, this one would be a good one to drip your toe into to test out. It was pretty light, not too gritty and the characters aren't too dark.
