My first read for Fernando, the newest Cursed Ravens tale starts out with lies, deceit, and one sexy biker. After finding out that the man she believed to be her father is in fact not her biological father, Erin goes in search of the elusive biker from her mother's past. Met with the sexiest man she's ever seen and rules of a club she doesn't understand, Erin is thrown into a world so unlike her quiet small town. And it's about to get crazier...
As Erin and her father navigate their new relationship, she also begins to develop feelings for the club's ladies man & treasurer, Ace. He's been sticking to her side and fighting an attraction himself. As he pushes the limits of club rules Erin has to decide between futures: small town life or the life of an old lady within the Cursed Ravens. As if figuring out two new relationships isn't hard enough, someone in the club is set on taking Erin out for good. Danger, suspense, and some crazy bikers lead to a not so boring romance that is wild from the get go.
I immediately fell for our hero in this book. Ace is cocksure and has that half-smile that can make a girl sweat. But throughout the book he gets a bit stalker-y and controlling for my tastes. Not to mention that Erin ( a heroine who's name we weren't told right away and then suddenly another character knew it!) seems to flip flop on how she feels at the drop of a hat. Where the beginning of this story is quick, there's a sudden change in timeline and I believe weeks went by but hadn't been sure of it; threw me off a little bit. I think if this story had a bit more time to let the characters' relationships really solidify I'd feel it was a bit more believable. That being said, it's a fun read that I still want to know more about our fellow bikers in the club. If biker romances are your deal, that danger and desire mixed with badass-ery, then this series is a definite afternoon pick me up!
Disclaimer: While I love being a reviewer and have no intentions of taking a hiatus from it, there are times when RL seems to take its toll and begins to color my perspective (something I’m sure many people have gone through). Sometimes I find that a theme, genre or trope starts to blend together with all of the other stories similar to it that I have read. Unfortunately, this leads to me not really being in the right mood to read a particular story. That being said, I am a huge fan of Chantal Fernando’s Wind Dragons MC Series so my opinion of Ace of Hearts is not a reflection of Ms. Fernando’s talent but of this specific story. I do, however, have plans to put this one in my “TBR again at a later date” pile in hopes that I will feel differently then.
Ace of Hearts
3 Stars
I am all about MC Romance and it’s always fun to read stories that take place in different regions of the world. Having enjoyed Ms. Fernando’s Wind Dragons MC series, I was pretty excited to dive into a new series. I was definitely in the mood for some new prospective book boyfriends or husbands and I was sure at least one of the Cursed Ravens would fit the bill.
Erin has learned that the man she has spent the past 22 years calling Dad is not her biological father. The idea that she is missing something important in her life takes its toll and she sets out to find the man she actually shares DNA with. Who’d have thought he’d be the President of the Cursed Ravens MC?
Her biological father isn’t the only person Erin finds, though. There’s also Ace, who she can't quite resist. As the new “Princess” of the Cursed Ravens, she is off limits. But there is no denying the growing feelings between Ace and Erin. Will Erin be able to navigate this new life and what it means to be part of this unconventional family?
What I Loved: I really loved Ace. I found him to be a sort of breath of fresh air from the overly dominating, rough (aka jerk) Alpha bikers we sometimes see, while not being the watered down, saccharine sweet man who happens to own a Kutte and ride a Harley.
What I Liked: I enjoyed the writing and thought the story flowed quite well. I liked the buildup of sexual tension leading to Ace finally giving into being with Erin even though his Prez said she was off limits. I also enjoyed the relationships that Erin seemed to easily develop with her father and the brothers. I really loved Knuckles, Rogue and Gage, too (I'm anxious to read their stories next). I’m not giving up on the series or the author.
What I Didn’t Like: Well, once again I find myself not liking the female lead in the story. A lot of my issues most likely had to do with her age and her immaturity but also had to do with her attitude towards the man who raised her, Brock. Brock was there the day she was born and raised her as his own alongside her mother. Erin admits he was a good dad. But I felt like the way she spoke and acted especially in the beginning, made it seem as if she had a horrible life. I didn’t like that his place in her life got thrown to the wayside just because they didn’t share blood.
Secondly, I thought she was overly dramatic and it bothered me. There were too many times her reactions and interactions seemed over the top and had me rolling my eyes. One minute she was all tough and badass and then, the next moment, she was all innocent and vulnerable. She was almost a caricature of the stereotypical MC Romance heroine which unfortunately made her seem less unique and likable in my eyes.
Overall, I’m sorry to say that this was just an okay read to me. I wanted to love it, I might’ve had I enjoyed Erin more. However, it might just be another case of it’s not you, it’s me and others will love it.

Ace of Hearts is the first title in the Cursed Ravens MC. I’m a huge fan of Ms Fernando’s Wind Dragons MC Series, so I was incredibly eager to enter into this new MC world.
I adored the heroine Erin, she’s strong, independent, and dedicated, with goals that she is intent to fulfil. I loved her loyal, feisty and sassy nature.
Ace is a member of the Cursed Ravens MC. Erin is inexplicably drawn to him, despite the fact her father has ruled her off limits to the members of the MC.
This story has intrigue, suspense and lies, that is seamlessly blended with heat, heart and humor that will keep you completely enthralled.
Although this story isn’t as gritty as some MC titles, the characters are captivating and colorful and I look forward to more of this series. For anyone who is a fan of the WDMC series, you will notice a connection within the story line, that I look forward to seeing evolve.
OMG! This book was so good. It is one I couldn't stop reading and ended up staying up very late at night just so that I could finish it.
This book is one I will be reading again in the future and I can't wait to get my hands on the next book.
I highly recommend this book.
Ace of Hearts is the first installment of The Cursed Ravens MC
Chantal is know to deliver a great MC read and she didn't disappoint.
Erin Dawson has lived a lie her whole life. The person she's called Daddy since birth turns out not to be her biological father.
On the search for her biological father she ends up at the Cursed Ravens club house. Things really start to get really interesting. Erin becomes the Raven's princess, but that doesnt come without a price.
While trying to adjust to this new life shes been exposed to she is confronted with a few challenges that will either make her run back to her boring life before meeting her father and the Cursed Ravens or she will stand tall and fight.
I love all the characters in the Cursed Ravens. Ace oh my how I was drooling over him. They are a bunch of sexy Alphas who can be comical but fierce when it comes to protecting those they love.
Great read
MC romances aren't something I read a lot of, but after reading the blurb for this one, I had to check it out. The father and daughter finding each other and building a relationship trope gets me every time, on a personal level. Take away the MC part and I could be Erin. With that in mind, I was impressed with the way that part of the story was handled. The relationship between Erin and her father wasn't perfect by any means, but the feelings that grew between them as they fumbled and made mistakes felt quite real.
The MC side of the story is pretty mild in comparison to the few that I've read. We don't see the violence that is so common in the genre, and while business is mentioned, we don't get the details of that side of things. Granted, these guys are crude, alpha males, but we also see a great camaraderie between them as they joke and carry on with each other and with Erin. Of course, Erin has an immediate shared attraction with one of the club members, which is no-no for her father, but as this is essentially a romance, we know going in that nothing is going to keep this pair apart. Ace and Erin do have terrific chemistry and once they heat up, they're hot enough to peel the paint from the walls.
In addition to the touching father/daughter relationship and a scorching hot romance, there's also a bit of suspense as those closest to Erin try to figure out who is trying to take her out of the picture, and we also get some wit and humor along the way.
On the whole, Ace of Hearts is a solid start to the series and I look forward to whatever's next for this great group of characters.
3.5 ✦Ace in the hole, Ace up my sleeve, Ace… Ace… Ace✦ Stars!!
After twenty-one years, Erin finds out that a huge part of her life is a lie - her biological father isn’t the man who raised her. Determined to find out more about the man who gave her life, she visits his home, which happens to be the clubhouse of The Cursed Ravens. This sweet country girl was in over her head with these rough bikers, but luckily, these men took to her instantly. She and her father fell instantly in love and he wasn’t the only one laying claim to her heart. Ace was the hottest man she had ever seen and their connection was irresistible. Too bad they were off-limits * wink* Breaking the rules never felt so good!
I’ve never read anything by Chantal Fernando before, although her work resides on my TBR. I was so happy to see that she had a new series coming out and that I could get in from the beginning. I found this story to be really sweet, despite the drama and the bit of suspense that was thrown in. I would have liked to have gotten Ace’s perspective because there were many instances that I felt required his thoughts in order to give a clear idea of his motives, but I heavily appreciated Erin’s voice. She was spunky, easy going, and kind hearted, which showed in every part of this story. If this is what I can expect from this author’s writing, then I’ll definitely be reading more!
A big thank you to NetGalley and Gallery/Pocket Books for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. First time reading this author. I was surprised that I stayed up to finish this book. I haven't done that in a while. I don't always enjoy the Motorcycle Club books. I did enjoy this one. I was surprised at the plot! Loved the chemistry between Erin and Ace. Learning to ride a motorcycle is on my bucket list! A solid 4 read. I think most romance readers would enjoy.
OMG!
I read quite a lot of MC Romance books and when I learned that Chantal Fernando was going to publish the Cursed Ravens MC series I was both excited, hesitant and wary.
You see, I'm a huge fan of the Wind Dragons MC series and honestly worried that I wouldn't enjoy the Cursed Ravens MC series as much because of how much I had adored Chantal's previous series.
Let me tell you, these Cursed Ravens bikers will dig into your heart and soul and stay sitting around your mind smirking at you with a look in their eye that plainly says, 'aren't you happy you read the book now? I knew you'd love us.'
And ladies and gents, let me tell you, I do love the Cursed Ravens and word of warning: Gage is mine! I call dibs so hands off!
Seriously though, this book is fabulous.
The chemistry between Erin and Ace is felt from the moment that the two of them are in the same room together and their romance is both sweet, sexy and seriously hot.
There is more to this book than just the romance though: the characters are all fully developed, complex individuals that I can't wait to learn more about in future books and the relationships between the characters, the connections made between them all, make me want to read more and more.
I don't want to give any spoilers away or give readers any major insight into the book because I truly want anyone reading this to experience this book for yourself.
Take a chance, pick up a copy of Ace of Hearts and experience the world that belongs to the Cursed Ravens. I really think you'll enjoy it.
Fans of Chantal Fernando's Wind Dragons MC series will especially love this book in this brand new series but fans of Chelsea Camaron's Hellions Ride, Ryan Michele's Ravage MC, Lila Rose's Hawks MC Jamie Begley's Predators MC series may enjoy this book as well.
A harbinger of great books to come.
Highly recommended.
A great 4 star MC story. I don’t read to many of that genre but this was quite an antertaining one. Erin has lived a very sheltered life until she discover that her biological father is an MC member. In her search to get to know him, she fall s for Ace another member of the club. This is there story.
It was a story full of drama and quite fun to read. Erin is a feisty young lady and fun to read about.
OMG, this was amazing!!! Starting a new MC series, Ace and Erin are up first. When Erin walks into this house that is full of bikers, she has no clue what to expect. All she knows is that her sperm donor is here somewhere and she is intent on meeting him. The world that opens up for Erin is one she never thought she would ever be. While the meeting with her father didn't exactly go the way Erin had hoped, it wasn't horrible either. Now that the Princess is home, the word is out that she is off limits from the members, but there is one member that Erin is willing so see just how far he will bend that rule. But what happens when that rule gets broken? Will they both regret it in the light of day?
This story had me from the first page, and didn't let go until the last word! This was an amazing MC read, that had everything you could want in it. Drama, danger, steaming hot sexy times, and even a cameo from Clover (so had a cheesy smile for that). This is a 5 star read all the way and I am soo ready for the next in this series!
Ace of Hearts is the first novel in The Cursed Ravens MC series by Chantal Fernando. When I first heard Chantal Fernando was going to write a new MC series I was so freaking excited. I’m a huge fan of the Wind Dragons MC series, and I have a feeling after reading Ace of Hearts I’m going to love this series equally, if not more!
Let's talk a little bit about Ace of Hearts!
Ace of Hearts is told in Erin’s points of view. Erin Moretti was born with two loving parents in the typical small town country lifestyle. She’s had the same close friend since elementary and the typical teenage boyfriend drama. But still she always felt something was off. When she discovers a secret involving her original birth certificate and some other man’s name listed as her father. She decides to give it a go and meet the man whose blood runs through her veins. After a heart to heart with her mom, she learns her father is in a motorcycle club.
I loved Erin’s strength and stubbornness throughout this novel. I found it hilarious that she was a, balls to the wall fireball, and didn’t put up with anybody’s crap. However, when you have a character that shows so much strength as Erin, it's a hard thing to watch said character go through heartbreak. My heart twisted when she discovered the people she thought she could trust where only out to gain for themselves.
But as we all know, there are three sides to every story… her side, his side, and the truth.
Carson ‘Ace’ Kendrick is the treasurer of the Cursed Ravens MC. He’s also the official club manwhore and ultimately the man who captures Erin’s attention. Ace has never been in love, until Erin stomps through the clubs doors with a whole new level of determination he’s never before seen. He has no choice but to be all in. That is until his club president who also happens to be Erin’s estranged father puts his foot down and threatens any brother who decides to cross the invisible line he’s drawn.
I freaking loved the hell out of ACE! This man is swoony, sexy, and knows what he wants. He’s not above breaking a few rules in order to obtain what he wants even if it means going against his president. But Ace has secrets that Erin is unaware of. The only thing I disliked about Ace was the fact that he had so many damn chances to be real with Erin about what was going on…. However, he took too damn long and shit escalated fast! Ugh… men!
Chantal Fernando is an author who can guarantee sweet and sexy in her novels! This is an important fact for me, as a reader. I need the sweet to go along with the sexy in order to justify the character chemistry. With that being said, I felt the chemistry between Ace and Erin from the start. I loved the romantic and friendship bond that these two have. It's a bond that is simply unbreakable even through all the obstacles thrown their way, I knew these two would make it.
I also loved the bond between Erin and the other characters in this novel. Supporting characters are also an important factor for me, especially given the fact that this is a companion series. The supporting characters need to have a sensible roll and a strong vibe in order for me to continue on with the series. I am completely obsessed with these characters….already! I am needing more from the Cursed Ravens MC men in my life!
Overall, I can safely say Ace of Hearts by Chantal Fernando is a novel that I will be highly recommending all over the place! I loved the relationships, the friendships, and the strong connections between characters. I also loved the fact that there is a little suspense mixed in which will keep you guessing! If you are a lover of MC Romance, like I am, definitely pick up Ace of Hearts!
I cannot wait to read Knuckle Down and Going Rogue!
This series is going to be entertaining and hot as hell!
Bring it on!
I have said in the past that I am pretty over the MC genre - with the exception of just a couple of authors. And Ms Fernando is one that I will always pick up and read.
I have missed the Wind Dragons MC , and am excited for the new Cursed Ravens MC series.
Erin is the ballsy young woman who walks into the Cursed Ravens club house and turns everything upside down and inside out when she asks to meet her biological father.
Everything she has ever known about her family has been a lie, and now she is trying to create a new, additional family.
I adored those bikers, especially Ace, Gage and Knuckles. I love how they turn to putty in her hands as she worms her way into their club - and their hearts.
And Ace is all kinds of swoonworthy. You can't help but fall for him as the story progresses.
Lies, secrets, and a bit of mystery thrown in, Ace Of Hearts has a bit of everything.
Ooooh and there is an appearance by someone fromthe WDMC that made me smile large.
I really enjoyed Ace Of Hearts and read it in one night. I can't wait for more Cursed Ravens!
I have been a huge fan of Chantal Fernando since her Wind Dragons MC series and so was so excited to jump aboard this new series. I loved Erin and Ace and thought the whole cast of characters in the MC were fantastic!
When Erin realizes that her biological father is the President of the The Cursed Ravens MC, she could never have expected that her entire life would change when she met her father and his crew of MC Brothers. I thought Ace was fabulous. He was sexy, honest and blunt. While I did like Erin, I did feel like her constant jealousy was excessive and a little immature at times. I also felt that the ending was a little rushed and could have been fleshed out more. So many of the conflicts/issues were resolved so quickly that it felt emotionless at times.
All in all this was a fantastic start to the series and I look forward to more from the author in this series!
I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book for an honest review. Bravo! 4 Stars! ~Ratula
ARC received via Netgalley for an honest review

Good read. I read till it was done and knew from the first page I would. It was good, but had some weak points.
Erin is a strong character. She tends to be a tad over reactor at times. I like that she had her own mind and her own goals in life and didn’t just throw it away for Ace. She showed that you could have both if you just work it out. Ace was interesting. To me he wasn’t a typical MC member in some ways, but was in others. The MC workings seemed glossed over and it never really got into what the club was all about.
The twist in the plot seemed interesting, but it seemed glossed overvtoo, and the reasons behind it seemed flimsy to me. They also didn’t go after the person seriously then they allowed it happen again. That just seemed not developed well.
I enjoyed it overall. Lots of open characters like Clover, Eden, Rogue, and Knuckles.
Received an ARC from the publisher through NetGalley.
A great start to a new series. I love her Wind Dragon's MC series.
Erin and Ace.
Erin discovers that the man she grew up as her father is not actually her father. She finds his address and goes to meet him. Turns out he is the President of the Cursed Raven's MC. One of the fist people she meets is Ace,
This is such a good story. I really like meeting everyone and when there was a little surprise guest from the Wind Dragons, I actually giggled. I. Giggled.
Yep, a great start to a series. I eagerly await the next.
I received an ARC for an honest review.
Wow, this was my very first book by Chantal and I was quite literally blown away with the characters, the sass and humour! Erin has just recently discovered that the person she called Dad all her life, is not her biological father. In an attempt to find her father, her mother gives her an address and she rocks up to find him. Entering the MC world is foreign and unfamiliar to Erin, but she is nothing if not determined to find him! The meeting doesn’t go as planned but her father asks her to stay and she agrees so she can get to know him, especially if she can get to know the sexy, hot biker named Ace too:) Loved the characters, especially Knuckles and Rogue who instantly won me over with their first interactions with Erin. But an MC is not without drama or danger and when Erin is suddenly in danger, the guys pull out all the stops to figure out who has targeted our new MC Princess. Loved Erin too with her quick humour and sassy personality:) Can’t wait for Knuckles book next!
A thank you to Chantal and Netgalley for my advanced copy and I willingly give my honest opinion and review for my favourite MC couple! (So far).
Another winner! At the end of the wind dragon series I was ready to give up on this author, but this was a great start to anew series. It's definitely a NA mc lite read, but it was fun and sexy and entertaining. Can't wait for the next in this series.
This is the first book I’ve read from the author. While it started out good it went too fast for my liking. The writing was good. The characters were great and that’s what made me read the entire book.
I will be reading the other two books that are in this series. Can’t wait for Knuckles and Rogues books!
