This book is packed with over 30 project tips and tricks for the creative/or would be reader. The use of a color coded guide with the ranking system of Green for Easy, Yellow for Intermediate and Red for Advanced is great. The detailed instructions are very easy to follow. The high listed helpful info boxes within the instructions with links to websites can assist the reader, or just show suggestions to think about.
There are photos of every project at the start of each project, but my only suggestion would to have more photos embedded within the instructions for the visual learners.
Good craft book for kids 12 and up, with some projects needing some adult supervision. Also good for adults with little to no experience. Crafts have simple directions and most items are easy to find and/or low cost.
I received an ebook copy from NetGalley in exchange for a fair review.
I liked this book. The crafts were pretty simple and not intimidating to beginners looking to branch out. I work at a library and am always on the lookout for craft ideas that we can adapt for our programs. There are several neat ideas in this book that would work for groups, but most likely best for the home crafters.
Pictures were nice and the instructions were clear. Nice!
I host a monthly crafting class at the library. Sometimes I run out of ideas. This book gave me wonderful ideas with very easy to follow instructions. I really liked how most of the crafts were up cycled. I really loved seeing old t-shirts, socks, tin cans be turned into beautiful things. I will be using some of these crafts for my class and others just at home. Great books!
If you are looking for a basic craft book that feeds your need to use recycled/reclaimed items, then look no further "The Craft-a-Day Book" is for you. Simple, easy to read instructions are paired with clear pictures and illustrations. While this book is not for the advanced crafter with superhuman knitting and sewing skills, a beginner-to-intermediate hobbyist will learn new skills and tips for turning trash into treasures. Great addition to Earth Day displays and fuel for maker spaces on a budget.
The Craft-a-Day Book by Kari Cornell and Jennifer S. Larson is a book of cute crafts that tweens and teens would enjoy. Great color photos and easy to follow instructions!
The title was a bit miss leading. There wasn't a craft for everyday of the year like I was expecting. There were also pages that had really light writing on them that was hard to read. The crafts that are included in the book are cool. I think that teens will be able to do them no problem.
