4.5 Beautiful Mountain Man Stars!
I loved this hilarious and heartfelt enemies to lovers romance! Joellen Bixby is a meek wall flower, but also a natural caretaker. She works hard, takes care of the people around her and has been in love with her boss for years. Then famous footballer, Cameron McGregor, moves in across the hall. He is loud, rugged, very sexy, and he upends Joellen's tidy world. They have a rocky, antagonistic start, but Cam has a way of getting past all Joellen's defenses. He loves her wicked, sassy mouth, that she doesn't fall at his feet and her marvelous cooking. He talks her into cooking for him and he will help her attract her boss. As they spend time together, priorities change, making enemies become friends and their fiery attraction begs for even more! I loved their hilarious banter and how they learned to trust each other. Cam is so cocky, funny, and had me totally swooning! Joellen was awkward, and quirky, and I loved seeing her grow into a strong, self assured woman. There were several emotional moments that made this a wonderfully multifaceted story. The epilogue was so perfect along with the list of 10 reasons why rugby doesn't suck! I highly recommend this hilarious and heartfelt romance!
It’s been ages since a contemporary romance has completely swept me up and along page to page like MELT FOR YOU did. I wanted to exist in this book, particularly the first 50% of it. I literally laughed our loud for significant portions of my reading time, highlighting the banter like a ninja; I literally have too many amazing quotes to choose from.
His voice is warm with teasing laughter, and he’s lucky he’s not standing in front of me, because I’ve got a brand-new pair of scissors in my top drawer that would look lovely protruding from his eye socket.
“It’s too bad you got stuck in puberty, McGregor-you might have made a productive member of society one day.”
The heroine, Joellen is a shy but competent woman in her late 30s, she lets everyone in her office walk over her. The unrequited longing she has for the CEO in her company, Michael was exciting in the beginning and toe-curlingly not later on. Cam, her noisy neighbour-rugby star visitor became her trainer and transformer and everything between these two was laden with buckets of tension, the good kind. The dialogue was fantastic and it was the key reason for my enjoyment of the book as a whole.
The slow burn style of writing totally floats my boat and JTG knocked this one out of the park in terms of the wait and the reward. I felt like the book had two phases, the first half where it was quippy, sexy and fun dialogue and then the second half where things got real and Cam showed a whole different side to himself. Cam seemed initially superficial but was well read, deep and sculpted (sorry, but he was!). Did I also mention that’s he's Scottish?
“Eyes up top, darlin’.”
“Starin’ at my baby maker again, lass,” says the Mountain with a low chuckle. “It’s becomin’ a bad habit of yours, innit?”
So far, this series that’s started off super-strong is getting even better, so you know what you need to do...
I voluntarily read an early copy of this book.
Reviewed for Jo&IsaLoveBooks Blog.
While I ended up enjoying this book a lot, I did find it a bit rough to keep reading at times in the beginning and even towards the middle of the book.
I really liked Joellen and thought she was a nice person, however, I found her unbearably low self esteem really hard to take. She had self esteem that was so low it really fell into the self loathing range. I understood where the self loathing came from, and I really empathized with her, but dear baby Jesus that schtick got old. Also, the way she let people walk all over her was hard to witness.
I liked Cam, I think he was a messed up man mountain, but basically a nice guy. He felt a little bit cartoonish at times and more of a caricature of a rugby player than and actual rugby player at first, but I felt he was redeemed by the end of the book and he seemed much more fleshed out.
I pretty much hated almost all of the secondary characters (to be fair, I think that was the author's intent). Most of the people surrounding Joellen seriously sucked and should have been kicked out of her life.
By the end of the book I felt like the couple belonged together and found the conclusion of the book satisfying.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys contemporary romance, but I would warn them about Joellen's annoying level of self hate through most of the book.
I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Melt for You by J. T. Geissinger is Book Two in the Slow Burn series. This is the story of Joellen Bixby and Cameron McGregor. I have read the previous book but feel you can easily read this as a standalone book.
Jo feels she is in love with her boss, Michael Maddox for the last few years. But Jo feels she just blends in with the furniture and he will never notice her. But then things start to change. It appears he is going to be single and she gets a new neighbor, Cameron who said he will help her. Cameron moves forward to help Jo with her self esteem and to see herself as more than she is. Jo's boss does start to acknowledge her more and she feels things are moving forward. But Cameron starts to learn that he just found the women of his dreams and he helping her find someone else. Now he has to turn things around or he will loose her.
Really great read that is hard to put down. I also have to say as other reviewers have said it is a a must read of the acknowledgments.
This is the first book I read by this author. I am struck speechless. I was so entertained by this story that I’m having a hard time putting my thoughts down. Every emotion goes through you as you read the pages. Joellen and Cameron have a unique relationship. They banter back and forth and are affectionately mean sometimes. As the story unfolds, you will see just how bad Joellen has no self esteem. And Cameron will not allow her to bash herself. It was sometimes hard for me to read the conversations between Joellen and her mother. My heart ached for Joellen. But the character of Cameron is one of my top 5 of all time. His wit and honesty and affection was truly perfectly written. And he's a Scot. I also loved that Joellen was 36, and Cameron younger. Just a perfect romance and perfect ending! Ahhh....I’m still swooning.
Wow wow wow! Joellen and Cam are just wow! Loved the chemistry and the dialogue! I laughed! I cried! Phenomenal read!!!!
Oh, wow! This book was sooooo funny!
"Stop pretending you're a mouse, dragon lady, and go after what you want."
Joellen Bixy is the ugly duckling in a family of beautiful swans. She's been in love with a man, who doesn't know she exists, for ten years. She doesn't really have any friends except her cat, Mr Bingley, and the eccentric, older English lady who lives in her building. She's normally tongue-tied and mousey, until an obnoxious new guy moves in across the hallway disturbing her peace and quiet.
"I'm in a bad mood every I see you because I'm seeing you."
Cameron McGregor is a big, brawny Scottish rugby player. He's gorgeous with muscles for days. He parties hard, is outrageous, and has the biggest ego on the planet! For some reason, he brings out the dragon in Joellen and her razor-sharp tongue.
This novel was so funny! I was laughing out loud for much of it, as Cameron is annoyingly but adoringly bigheaded and egotistical. You know he's joking the whole time but Joelle just bites every time! Her comebacks are hilarious!
"You're not weird. You're unique. There's a difference."
When Cameron persuades her to let him help her get her man, the sparks really start to fly, and has Joellen confused and questioning her feelings. He's sexy, forward, and really riles her up, however, the more time she spends with him, she begins to see the pain he hides beneath his cocky bravado.
"His expression and voice are nonchalant, but his eyes. Oh, his eyes. How hotly they burn."
Gah! I just adored this book. The chemistry and sexual tension between Cameron and Joellen was tangible. The dialogue and banter between them was often snappy and hilarious, and sometimes really quite serious. I loved how Joellen's self-deprecating ways made Cameron angry; how she couldn't see herself as beautiful.
This was a funny, sexy novel but with a real message about self-perception and self-image. Thoroughly recommend!
There aren’t enough words for me to describe how much I love this book! The heroine is so relate-able. I am also that girl that struggles with my own image, so much so that I won’t even let people take my picture. I understand that you can be a strong person but can struggle with accepting what you look like and how your mind can trick you into only seeing your flaws. I loved the journey Joellen takes to realize she was a beautiful swan all along. The hero was absolutely perfect and I wouldn’t change a single thing about this book. I loved every single page. This is a top pick of 2018 and going on my all time favorites list. The audiobook was one of the best I’ve ever listened to - narration was really well done.
***4,5 "Lassie and The Mountain!!!" stars***
Well... I loved this book!!!! It was unexpectedly awesome!!!
God, i did laugh a lot in here and I swoon a lot for Cameron...
I think i had such a long time to get crushed so much on a male character and this one was Cameron McGregor... This man wasn't existing!!!! He was imperfectly perfect!!!!
But let me take the things from the beginning...
Joelle Bixby is a loner... She has low self-esteem, a good relationship with food, her cat and an eldery neighbor are her best friends and she is secretly on crush with her married boss for a decade...
She is perfectly fine with her life as it is, but the things are starting to change when is coming in the picture her new neighbor for the month...
He is listening awful music very loudly, he has a hugo ego and he is walking around without clothes...
Joelle is irritated with him instantly and she doesn't want anything to do with him...
But Cameron (The Mountain as she preffers to call him in her mind!) is a stubborn Scotish rugby player of a man and he has different plans...
At the same time, something is changing in the office... Michael Maddox, Joelle's boss, is getting divorce and he is showing interest in Joelle and that is something that is stressing her out...
Now, she is forced to accept Cam's offer to help her to become more seductive and to earn the man of her heart...
But this said man is really Michael or she is oblivious to what she really wants???
"This wasn't supposed to happen. Not with him."
I really liked Joelle...
She was very sarcastic and she was so damn funny, especially when she was bickering with Cam...
I think that Cam's presence rebelating her even though that she couldn't see it...
To be totally honest with you at many points, i wanted to shake her up and make her see what she was really in front of her...
She couldn't be so oblivious!!! It was so stressful!!!
And now, Cam!!! Oh God, this man!!!
Cameron McGregor was perfect in every way...
I liked how careless he seemed, even though he wasn't careless at all... He was living life on full speed and Joelle was changing him in good ways... He fell for her from the first moment, but she was denying to realize it...
I liked how he was becoming when Joelle was underestimating herself and his wisdom was very important...
Cam had his own problems and that was the reason why he changed states for a month, but away from home he found something that was worthying to keep...
“Your body isn’t a thing to be looked at and judged against some standard of perfection that doesn’t even really exist. It’s the vessel that takes you through life, allowin you to experience all the beautiful things life has to offer. Food. Sex. Sunsets. Music. Hugs. Laughter. A healthy body is a gift. Don’t take it for granted. Don’t treat it like some cheap one-night stand. Treat it like the love of your life. Treat it with respect and tenderness, but most of all, gratitude....
And a healthy dose of awe, too. Your body is made of remnants of stars and massive explosions in the galaxies... We're literally stardust. Every one of us is a little mirecle. You're a miracle, Joellen."
The chemistry between those two were electrifying...
Even when they were bickering...
Their relationship was builting slow and steadily, but that was the greatest thing of all!!!!
Well, i won't tell you more...
If you would like a really funny reading with beautiful characters, you should grab this book!!!
Don't you worry, even though that Cam is helping Joelle to win the man of her dreams, there isn't a love triangle...
At the same time, this book is showing you that everyone are perfect as they are...
Well, I enjoyed it so damn much and i hope the same for you too!!!
P.S. Usually I'm adding many quotes in my reviews, but this time I didn't because there were too many funny scenes that i would love to add, but i couldn't put the half book in here.

I am loving the Slow Burn series by J.T. Geissinger, and I feel hard for Cam and Joellen in Melt for You. They are absolutely perfect together and captivating to watch as they evolve from barb-trading, hair-ruffling frenemies to passionate, emotional lovers. Joellen goes through a self-perception transformation along the way as her relationship with Cam grows and deepens, and it’s beautiful and poignant to witness her finding the self-confidence and believing in her self-worth. Melt for You is fun, entertaining, inspirational and memorable.
I enjoyed Burn for You a lot so I was excited for this, the blurb sounded interesting. So while the cover is definitely appealing I didn't get it until later on. Joellen's POV to start, I'm not sure if it's intentional but her boss she's crushing on kind sounds like a British stereotype snotty wanker really and gave me bad vibes right away. Since he was the object of Joellen's affection I could not see the appeal.
.Joellen and Cam's banter was fun and witty. They were kinda hate to reluctant friends to lovers. Melt for you had a sort of ugly duckling trope going on with our heroine. Her misconceptions on perfection and beauty and her esteem. As much as Cam cheers her on and believes in her. So it got irritating after a while she has much potential despite others except her family saying she does.
I do like a good Scottish hero and a rugby player at that. I really liked Camden, yes he was the annoying neighbor but he was hilarious and had charm. He's more than what he shows for sure, smart too even if he tries to hide his self in his self confidence and cocky attitude. He had the swoon down. Joellen was frustrating at times and made it hard to like her with her beliefs and lack of confidence in everything. Waiting for her to smart up and open her eyes to her alluring neighbor and how he was better.
I did enjoy most of the story though overall, the tension and banter was the best part. Plus the quips in between, the fun moments from the lessons. Wrapped up a bit too fast for me after the wanting the plot to move along still it was satisfying and steamy. The author left a positive note on body image and esteem which was good.
4 Melting With Laughter Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Fabulous romance with a huge side of humor... nothing like a hot guy, with a killer accent, who can make you laugh....Cam was all that and more... but he was not the man that JoEllen has been crushing on for the past 10 years.... A ten-year crush, can you imagine?
JoEllen really needs to find some confidence, and it does not help that she has been in love with her boss for the past 10 years... so when she finds out he is getting divorced, she is elated, this is her chance... but how? Cam is her obnoxious new neighbor, but he is a player and offers to help Jo win her man.... problem..... Cam starts developing feelings for Jo.... also his lessons are helping Jo out quite a bit... she has much more confidence and has caught the eye of the man of her dreams Michael....
Loved this slow burning romance.... so many laugh out loud moments, and I could just hear that Scottish accent in my head.... always wonder what people think of the American accent? Has nothing to do with the book, just a random thought.... anyways I digress.... Jo was such a fun and fabulous girl I just could not understand why she doubted her self so much... it was lovely to see her blossom in the capable hands of Cameron... Cam was such a fantastic guy, he just excepted people for what they are, flaws and all.... and Michael, well he is the dream guy, right? And no worries this is not a love triangle situation, it’s just a fun slow burning romance filled with humor and love....
Absolutely recommend to fans of slow burning romance with the fore mentioned humor😍😂
*** thank you so much to the publisher and Net Galley for a copy of this lovely book ***
Joellen Bixby has worked for Maddox Publishing for the last 10 years and has been in love with the owner for the same amount of time. She has very low self-esteem and puts herself down constantly, internally and out loud. She is socially inept. I struggled with all her negative self-talk from the beginning. And I really despised her parents and sister. No way would I have put up with that.
Cam MacGregor, a Scottish rugby captain, defines the ultimate narcissistic manwhore with all the excesses - women, drinking, partying. He is cocky, arrogant and repeatedly brags about his prowess with women. His first introduction to Joellen is when she goes storming over to his door pounding on it because the music is so loud. He opens the door shirtless, in a kilt and with a table of half-dressed men and women playing strip poker. His extreme lifestyle has landed him in a bit of trouble. At the request of his manager, he switches apartments "across the pond" with his cousin to lay low until the heat dies down.
The juvenile, snarky banter between these two is at times funny and other times eye rolling ridiculous. The whole triangle thing grew old quickly. Especially when Joellen didn't have much interaction with her boss over the last 10 years. Then, all of a sudden, she's on his radar big time. Cam switches from sleazy party boy to single minded focus on Joellen. I just couldn't see the two of them together, even after he works so hard to boost her self-esteem. The story drags for most of the book then rushes to the end.
After having thoroughly enjoyed the first book in the series, this was a bit of a letdown for me. However, I do enjoy this author’s writing style and look forward to the next book.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC provided by NetGalley and the publisher.
4.5 hearts
<strong>Melt for You</strong> is the fourth book I have read by this author. She has become an auto-read, favorite author for me. Geissinger creates strong, relatable characters. They are realistic enough to have some quirks and even those briefly on page feel developed. The dialogue is smart and funny; she is a master with dialogue. She makes me feel, laugh and care. The heat level is high; these are hot and sexy.
Cameron is a bit like a dream. There aren't wealthy, hot athletes everywhere. At least, most average women don't have any access to them. But it's like the six degrees of separation thing; sometimes they are around. Cam seems like a bossy, self-absorbed alphahole, and he can be, but there is more to him. Once one gets to know him, he is amazing.
Joellen, the female character is so well developed and could be any woman you know. She is like so many of us - smart, capable, hard-working but doubtful about our own appearance and abilities. Like the 27 Dresses gal, she is in love with the CEO, Michael, or thinks she is. But she doesn't really know him; it's all superficial. Her supervisor, Portia, is an interesting and nicely developed character.
I read on the author website, the <a href="https://www.goodreads.com/series/216402-slow-burn" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><em><strong>Slow Burn series</strong></em></a> are loosely based on classic fairy tales, this second of three being The Ugly Duckling (my guess). I laughed and steamed and cried - I CARED. This is a highly recommended author and series. I'm so looking forward to the next book, <strong>Ache For You</strong>, which will release in October.
<blockquote>I've been in love with him for a decade. Inconveniently, he's married.</blockquote>
<blockquote>"Ugh. Keep talking -- maybe someday you'll say something intelligent."</blockquote>
I love a good slow burn, add in one of my favorite sports to watch, rugby, and the friends-to-lovers trope; you get a heartwarming, hilarious and sweet read! I am totally in love with the ever so charming, Scotsman, Cam.
Man, I have to say that I've never been so frustrated with a heroine before. But she was such a character that many can relate to. With a low take on herself and a crush on her very married boss, you'll be wondering what she'll experience on her journey to her HEA. Melt for You is inspired by the Ugly Duckling we all grew up to know when we were kids. More than anything Joellen definitely surprised me, I loved her witty sense of humor and she's a lot stronger than she thought herself to be. She is also extremely blind and can't see what is right in front of her. C-A-M-E-R-O-N
Cameron McGregor ... EVERYONE needs a Cam in their life, he's just ... everything! Super swoon-worthy and one of my favorite heroes up to date. He was completely smitten with Joellen from the very beginning and he was quick to notice that she wasn't exactly feeling the same. And his little plan to help her get in shape and boost her confidence to make the guy she loves to finally notice her when Cam is the one who has always seen her as beautiful since the beginning. Clearly, this was all a ruse to get Joellen to see him, but ... Clueless Joellen.
I still can't get over how oblivious Joellen was. Girl, Cam is absolutely perfect and is taking time out of his day to be with you. But girl still can't get the hint and it'll drive you absolutely bonkers! In the end, I did love seeing her growth, she definitely came a long way. And it's a beautiful sight, just like she already was.
Their story was such a fun one to read with so many hilarious and steamy moments. There's no denying Cam, that's for sure. Absolutely enjoyed this one.
**AN ARC WAS GRACIOUSLY PROVIDED FOR AN HONEST REVIEW. ALL OPINIONS ARE MY OWN**
This was a different romance compared to the contemporary books I usually read, and in a good way because it surprised me and made me laugh. "Melt for you" tells the story of Joellen, a 36 year old woman with low self-esteem because she thinks she's old and she isn't fit. Her thoughts on herself will be questioned after she meets the Scottish baller Cameron, who came to New York to change air. He is not her type, but that will change as well as Joellen realizes that he is more than she thinks he is.
This book was really funny from the first page until the end. Joellen is a witty woman but she's also sassy, and the banter with Cam was exceptional and makes them even more realistic as characters. Their journey was slow paced (maybe this is why the series is called 'slow burn') and there is a slow character development that is given at the right time. These characters were original to me, and you could relate to them in many ways.
Everyone has been or has met a "Joellen" in her life. She is insecure of herself, always thinking she is not fit because she is not skinny or she is not beautiful because of this, or several other worries that most of us surely thought about during their lives. And this is wrong. This is the message the author wants us to receive: that it doesn't matter if we're not fit or we're not something else, we are still valuable people and we deserve to be loved by other people, but above all, we should love ourselves first. We should forgive ourselves because nobody is perfect and it's imperfections that make us unique.
In this book, Joellen had the luck to meet Cameron, who is a good-natured man that doesn't try to judge others by their appearance or other stuff, since appearances can easily deceive. Joellen was deceived by Cam's appearances as well when they met, but then Cam turned out to be a different person than who she made him out to be. From a silly proposition to give her a hand to make her boss Michael fall head over heels with her, Cam helped Joellen believe in herself and her many qualities and accept herself but also him with his baggage. The past of a person doesn't define him/her. We must overlook the differences and ask ourselves if somebody is acting in a certain way because maybe that person is having an inner war with themselves we don't know about. With this I'm not saying we should be nice to everybody to avoid that somebody suffers at our expense, but that we should be balanced. We can't be too nice but we can't be angry at everybody as well.
I will surely read J.T. Geissinger in the future since I loved the sense of humor of her characters. :)
Melt For You is the second book in the Slow Burn series by J.T. Geissinger. I was sold on this book first because of Tattooed Scottish Rugby Captain, but this book was so much more. This book was hilarious and sexy; I couldn’t put it down read it in one day.
Joellen Bixby is wildflower who doesn’t believe she is as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside. When her new neighbor Cameron McGregor (Tattooed Scottish Rugby Captain) offers to give her some advice on how to catch the man she has been crushing on for ten years, in exchange for her cooking him dinners especially her shepherd’s pie. What could go wrong right? We, romance book-aholics know lots of drama and misunderstandings.
So much sexual tension between Joellen and Cameron that it heats up the page but the bantering between these two was the best. J.T. Geissinger know how to write a good slow burn book, she gives you a little taste to keep you turning the pages and when the characters finally come together she has you wanting a cold shower just to cool off from the hottest.
Highly recommend this series to anyone who loves a good romance!
3.75 stars--MELT FOR YOU is the second instalment in J. T. Geissinger’s contemporary, adult SLOW BURN erotic, romance series. This is twenty-nine year old, Scottish rugby captain Cameron McGregor, and thirty-six year old Joellen Bixby’s story line. MELT FOR YOU can be read as a stand alone as there are no apparent connections to the previous story line.
Told from first person perspective (Joellen) MELT FOR YOU follows the acrimonious relationship between New York neighbors Scottish rugby captain Cameron McGregor and Joellen Bixby. Cameron McGregor has come to America, if only temporarily, in order to avoid a scandal back home. Sexy, athletic and an arrogant womanizer Cameron is about to come face to face with a woman whose self-esteem has been shattered; whose maturity level is questionable; whose naïvete and caustic barbs draw our hero like a moth to a flame. Joellen Bixby has spent ten years of her life pining after her boss, a married man she hopes to attract at the upcoming company party. Her self-deprecating humor and attitude gets old pretty fast, so much so that Cameron struggles with her constant put-downs and disparaging personal remarks aimed at deflecting compliments and praise. What ensues is the growing relationship between Joellen and Cameron when Cameron offers to work with Joellen as she sets out to get noticed by the company CEO.
MELT FOR YOU is a story of opposites-attract. Joellen is a wallflower, an ‘ugly duckling’ who hides behind a poor self-image, and a lack of confidence including the inability to say no when it counts. A bit of a push-over whose aggressive attitude hides years of emotional struggles Joellen wants to find love but in doing so dismisses the man who battles his attraction to a woman who is oblivious to his ministrations and growing love.
The world building follows a ‘stream of consciousness’ as the reader is pulled into the mind of a woman caught between what she thinks she wants, and what is right in front of her. Our heroine’s naïvete is compounded by her single mindedness as it involves her attraction to, and desire for the company CEO, missing the growing love of a man who is willing to give her his all. Weeks will pass and our heroine will remain oblivious so much so that she is willing to risk everything for her shot at the top.
MELT FOR YOU is an engaging and entertaining story line but the heroine’s over the top, combative and whiny personality is frustrating such that I was unable to truly enjoy all of the potential humor, and the back and forth repartee between the leading couple. Joellen’s issues of low self-esteem had been branded into her psyche by those she considered more beautiful and worthy, and her character development was questionable as Joellen continued to struggle with body image all the while focusing on her end game of falling in love with the ‘perfect’ CEO. A ‘slow burn’ romance MELT FOR YOU was a bit of a struggle but the kilted Scottish rugby player is worth the price of admission alone.
I will note that the author adds a cautionary tale at the end of the story – a warning of sorts for anyone who battles with, or knows someone who struggles with heart breaking issues of low self esteem that oft times, do not transfer, to a happily ever after.

Oh my goodness I really loved this book. It had me laughing, crying and relating to Joellen so much. Joellen has low self esteem and has a huge crush on her boss. Cameron who is living next door to her suggests to help her get her bosses attention. The relationship that forms from this is one no one can break. The way they interact and how open Joellen is with Cam and how he just takes his time with her and shows her over and over how pretty she is and how she needs to love her self first is just so so good. They had me laughing from the first moment they met.
I received this as an arc from netgalley

Melt for You can be read as a standalone and is now available on Amazon KU, add the audible for 1.99!
I FLOVED this book.
Who hasn't had a crush on their boss at one point or another? Is he all that he seems to be or does infatuation blind us? Melt for You is being called a slow burn but the chemistry is palpable throughout and consistently builds making a reader eagerly fly through the pages. Not only is it a slow burn but a friends to lovers story as well, two birds one stone trope!
The entire premise is based on infatuation and the heroine not being a confident female but the story line wouldn't work if she was. That said I loved the delightfully flawed Joellen Bixby, she's endearing, smart, funny, and interesting. She is realistic and likable yet not annoyingly weak
Cameron McGregor, SWOOOOOOON! Admittedly I am very partial to Scott's but Cameron is alpha, hunky, hot, kind, and patient ....without being alpha if that makes sense. Cameron has already come full circle in life when he shows up as Joellen's neighbor so the story isn't about his change, just that he did and he's ready to move on.
Throw in the quirky fun side characters and this is the perfect recipe for a quick lighthearted swoony read. Bump it up , you won't regret it!!
