She has to leave town as soon as possible but first she must attend her best friend AJ's funeral, sit in the Church where his Father and Brother give her the evil eye and try to not get too noticed by the rest of the town folk.

Chase Stockton was AJ's best buddy from College, he didn't want to be here either but he was going to fulfil his commitment that he pledged to AJ and now that he had found her, Mira Cabot was everything AJ had speculated she would be. He had to protect her, not just from the outside world but from Alan Thurston, AJ's father.

The only way Chase could think to keep her safe was to bring her home with him even though he wanted nothing to do with a woman, he didn't know how his brothers would even accept a woman in their home but Mira was unknowingly worming her way into his heart and soon his home.

This was a really good read, one I could certainly revisit again.

Thanks to NetGalley and Kobo Writing Life for the opportunity to read and review.

A COWBOY NEVER SAYS NO is a very well-written book with a depth to the characters created by Stephanie Rowe. Mira finds herself pregnant, alone and up against a very powerful man. In rides Chase (figuratively), who recognizes the implications of danger toward this pregnancy and offers her refuge. Chase and his brothers have had bad experiences with women and Mira is not welcomed by the brothers. Therein lies the plot. The author weaves a wonderful story about love, loyalty and family ties. Pick up this book and you won't be sorry.

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Rcently. I seemed to be reading many books in which one if not both of the main characters were subject to abuse as a child and are still struggling with the physical and mental scars as adults. Is this a new trend? I hope only in fiction, because if not, it is a sad commentary on the push away from conservative values.

Mira Cabot grew up in happy, loving home. The same could not be said about her best friend, AJ, who was severally abused by his wealthy father, Alan, and who found refuge in the Cabot home. Mira's father was the sheriff of their small southern town. As soon as he could, AJ left town to never return, but kept in touch with Mira. At college, he made another best friend, Chase Stockton, also the child of abuse. For ten years, Mira and Chase knew each other vicariously through AJ, but finally meet in person at AJs funeral.

While she was in college, Mira's parents were in an auto accident, that left her father dead and her mother an invalid. When she left school to take care of her mother, her fiancee broke their engagement and quickly married her college roommate. When her mother died, a few weeks earlier, AJ had come for the funeral and in a act of grief and comfort they had sex.

Now Mira finds herself pregnant with AJ's child, is terrified that Alan will find out and with his wealth take her child away from her. A very observant Chase figures it out and offers to protect Mira and AJ's child by marrying her- just a business arrangement to protect them from Alan. But Chase has his own "issues" - his brothers. Eight younger brothers, mothered by various abusive step mothers and girlfriends. The brothers had vowed to never let a woman in their lives, believing that all women are like their mothers, and they might end up like their father.

Despite their strong attraction to each other and their AJ bond, can Mira and Chase trust each other ? How will Chase's brothers react to Mira's presence? Can they fool Alan?

The author weaves angst, hot cowboys, horses, a picturesque description of the ranch and villains into a beautiful love story, where not only the main characters, but the supporting characters step up to protect others. And with all those brothers, we will have a nice long series to devour.

Extremely fun, sweetly sexy, emotionally engaging, passion filled romantic adventure that includes a surprise baby twist..

Chase Stockton and his brother have an unshakeable bond formed by surviving a their brutal childhood together. Mira Cabot is a sassy, strong and independent woman that never asks for help, until now. The question is will Chase's need to protect Mira be the one thing that shakes the bond between him and his brothers? Enjoyed this heart pounding and exciting journey.

I received this book from Net Galley for an honest review. I chose to review this book because I am a fan of Rowe’s Order of the Blade series. This series introduces us to Chase and Mira who have a mutual friend who has died. However, Mira is being harassed by the father of AJ, the dead friend. Chase has been infatuated with Mira since Aj spoke of her so much during school. Mira helped AJ through a dark part of his life while he also comforted her through her own torments. Mira is also pregnant with Aj’s child, that was the result from a night of mutual comfort and is in desperate need of a way to keep her child out of the abusive hands of Aj’s father. Chase offers her a sanctuary and is hoping Mira can help him escape him his own demons, on his farm.
I was not sure how the pregnancy was going to play into this series. However, the reasons behind Chase rescuing Mira became clear. This was not just a savior for Mira but a rescue for her unborn child. This was a personal mission for Chase. I fell in love with Chase more and more as I found out who he was and how he helped his own brothers during their tormented childhood. He is truly a good ‘ol cowboy and he can cook, can you say swoon!! Mira was a strong character even if she was a little bratty at times she was not overly annoying. The chemistry happens very fast but the story builds into a good solid climax that leads you right into the next book. With Rowe introducing us to all the leading men we can look forward to in future books.
Rowe makes you so excited for the rest of the series by introducing you to the rest of Chase’s family of gorgeous brothers. We have fellas from bad boys to a country music star all with their own issues. This is great start to a new series.

This cowboy romance tugs at the heart strings and makes me want to go out and find a real cowboy to love!

Mira and Chase are strong, captivating and are easily related to as they draw readers into their story and refuse to let go until they own every last bit of the reader’s heart. The romance is rocky with lots of heart felt emotional turmoil that adds depth and has readers empathizing with this captivating couple. The story also introduces the Stockton brothers who also grab reader’s attention and captivate their hearts due to their heart breaking past and ensures that the readers will want to know their stories as well.

Stephanie Rowe brings her heart capturing world to life with well written words that paints vivid imagery and her wonderful characters life like and I was completely captivated from the very beginning and found her cowboys to be sexy and loveable, so I will definitely be visiting with the Wyoming Rebels again.

Really good story of two people bonded by the good friend they both loss. Mira is tough and in a bind when Chase offers to help her out, by marrying her and moving her to his ranch. His buddy AJ would have expected him to help and that's what he does. What neither of them counted on was the feelings that would develop between them.

Such a heart wrenching read, Chase and his brothers and of course Aj suffered in ways no children should, poor Mira was so brave, in the face of so much she held strong. This was a great read, no gimmicks just good old fashioned romance.

What an unfortunate trail of circumstances Mira found herself in, after involving in a self-pitying weekend after her mother's funeral, with her best friend AJ, which led to her being pregnant and him dying without knowing. She was out of a job after sacrificing it to take care of her mom, to top it off she now had to hide the pregnancy from AJ’s father who was a violent ogre of a monster, he truly destroyed AJ and now he wants to do the same to Mira and possible her unborn child. Mira would never let him take her child to raise like he did his two sons with blows, he was an abusive and violent man and a poor example of a father. At AJ’s funeral she met Chase his best friend and a ray of light paved a path for her, and just maybe she stands a chance of winning this battle. But nothing good comes easy, they had to face their fears before they can embrace the victory.True love always shines through no matter what the storm throws at them, Mira and Chase had to wade through some personal muck, and a few violent encounters with the ogre, to get to that point, but the fight was worth it in the end. Tenderness and pure unadulterated love paved the way for this wonderful and heartfelt story.

This is my first book by Stephanie Rowe and I really enjoyed her writing. This was well written and the characters were mature. It's a good story, but I did have a hard time with the constant back and forth between the main characters. Both Mira and Chase have been let down by the opposite sex their whole lives except for one person. Their mutual best friend who recently died and brought them together.

Chase and his brothers have been treated horribly by every woman that came into their dad's life. The more the women that treated his father bad, the worse he then treated his sons. It was a vicious cycle that Chase swore he would never repeat for himself. Despite never wanting to get involved with a woman, he couldn't leave Mira at the mercy of his best friends dad knowing he was just as abusive as his own.

Mira has had to witness her best friend get constantly abused by his father growing up. Her family stepped in when they could to help him until one fateful car accident stole her fathers life and put her mother in critical care for the remainder of her days.

Because of Mira having to quit school to go home and take care of her mom, her fiance at the time dumped her. Years later with her mom passed away and her best friend following not long after, she no longer has faith in men. When Chase offers her protection against her best friends dad, she's not in a place to turn him down.

Because of these two fighting their own demons, they are constantly battling their attraction to each other and afraid to open themselves up to the possible hurt. I wish we could have gotten less of the pushing away and more of them exploring their new relationship. However, I was very happy with the ending.

This book will appeal to the readers who love that push/pull relationship. ARC provided by NetGalley

Halfway through the book, something snapped and I just lost all patience for it. It just seemed so repetitive that I found myself not looking forward to reading more about it. I just could not connect with the book. Like another reviewer, I would have liked to know more about the relationship between Chase and AJ and I thought it was unbelievable how Alan would have figured out that she was pregnant and followed her etc.

Could not figure out why either Chase or Mira make the choices they made. Way outside of anything I’ve seen or read and, therefore, couldn’t care less what happened in their story book lives. I found it very difficult to finish book and couldn’t wait to get to the end.

Chase...mmm, mmm, mmm. This seductive man is bone-melting. Stephanie Rowe wrote a man who is loyal to a fault, sacrificing, sweet, caring, determined, and sexy. If the rest of this series has characters written like this, I’m in. I will read all bajillion of the books since I assume all 9 brothers will get a book. And I will happily read them despite the flaws that an editor should have caught and the pet peeves that the author hopefully won’t include with further books.

Editing: things like Mira and her friend are 3 years apart, but have a graduation photo taken together in caps & gowns. This happens repeatedly.

Implausible: the intimidation tactics of the friend’s father. The level of abuse...every single wife and girlfriend? Beaten so badly he can’t walk right ever again but not one school person or hospital official called child services?

Pet peeves: lack of grieving. Mira lost the two people dearest to her within a 4 week span and there is zero grieving in the book. This happens all the time in stories and I hate it. I also don’t like the careless behaviors that someone hopefully wouldn’t do, like jumping feet first from a cliff while pregnant...pretty sure that rush of water up the vag is a no-no for a pregnant woman. And a complete stranger’s words brings a man out of a coma? Um, no.

However, I will look for more of these books because I really loved the writing in this book. If I get more like Chase, I’m happy. Word of caution: with abuse being a central theme, hopefully the author can write without the story becoming maudlin.

Put together a man who is a natural protector, and a strong woman in need of protection and you have a romance that'll touch your heart. Chase and Mira are well developed and three dimensional characters who literally reach out to touch your heart, for Chase because of what he endured in his past, and for Mira because of what she is facing in her future.

The author created the perfect story to bring them together, creating personalities that are believable and endearing. The dialog is perfectly balanced between the serious and humorous. It smoothly takes you through the story at a rapid pace from the beginning to the end. I've never read anything by this author prior to this book, but am glad I was introduced to her superb writing...I look forward to reading more of her stories.

This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.
