This novel, coming out June 5, has been on several anticipated lists. Unfortunately, this just didn't hit on all cylinders for me. Some well developed characters. I feel that some of those stories would work better as short fiction. The overarching structure didn't really tie things together for me and, as a whole, it was a miss for me.

I am not going to lie, this was a hard read. I found the story confusing and anything to do with Crusoe very weird and would have like to understand that part better. The characters were interesting and well defined. Caleb Johnson has a talent for describing the landscapes. Unfortunately, in my opinion, there were too many loose ends and the ending did not bring a conclusion to the story.

I seem to be in the minority of people who did not like this book so I will let you be the judge if you get a copy.
