Thank you to Quatro Publishing amd Netgalley for an ARC of this title in return for my honest opinion.

This short book was an easy read and although it was enjoyable it did not offer any new content or concepts that I hadn’t read in previous books on the subject.

I recommend this book if you are completely new to the subject and are looking for a quick read.

I found Read People to be interesting and well-presented. The book is based on Behavioral Psychology, giving cues on how to understand the behavior of others which then enables you to communicate with them in a more productive manner. It's value is proportional to how much background you already have in the subject matter.

I really liked the way the information was presented. The book is made up of 5 sections with 20 lessons overall. The sections/lessons can be read sequentially, or in any manner you choose. Each section presents the material in the following way:

> Build - gives an introduction to the important concepts of the lessons in the section
> Become - explains how to apply the lessons
> Toolkits - help you keep track of what you've learned so far
> Further Learning - lists additional resources if you would like to read further

This book can be helpful to anyone who likes to understand others and would be a helpful addition to one's business library.

This was a very interesting book, but I think it is a stretch to characterize people by the shape of their face, or their eye placement. I think the body language is more a window into intentions than a persons physical makeup.

This book is short as it is designed to give essential information on the topic. For further exploration, the author provided additional resources by the end of each chapters.

This book is informative; and while it is short, it was able to present fascinating findings to the readers who don’t have much background on the subject. This book is recommended to readers who are interested in the topic without wanting to do more research.

A very basic and somewhat simplistic guide to "reading people". Things that I believe most people are already aware of. Many other authors have covered the subject much better (for example, Joe Navarro's books). I'm just underwhelmed by this book.

As someone who is interested in the idea of "reading people" this book offered some explanation about why what we assume about someone we meet for the first time is usually right. This book may be simplistic as someone mentioned but it offers the main ideas in the "industry" of body language and (better) communication. For someone who never read any other book about this topic., this book may well be an introduction. The "Further Learning" at the end of each chapter seems to me like a great idea.

I have long been interested in reading people's reactions through observing body language and consider myself pretty adept at it, but this book took me to places I had never thought of. An excellent choice for anyone who is interested in communication. As a retired educator I wish I had had some of this information sooner. I can definitely see it being used in business, in sales, by sociologists and others who work in the service industries.

Although this had some good parts I didn't feel it was anything groundbreaking - and to be honest not sure if it helped me to read people as the book title kind of suggest you will be better at that.
Overall an okay book.

An extremely simplistic and facile presentation that offered little substance.

To say that I was underwhelmed is an overstatement.

This was an interesting read. I found the toolkit at the end of every chapter to be a helpful way to sum up each lesson, and simple enough to remember. I also found myself watching a TedTalk recommended in one of the further reading sections. I am looking to improve my communication skills and I plan on practicing some of the suggestions from this book.

I would have to give this book a two stars. I do not believe in giving an author anything under three stars when the book is just released. I understand how important it is for the author to build momentum among the share of the market that would enjoy it when it first comes out. For that reason, I will not be posting my review of this book anywhere.
