No matter how hard I tried to like this book, I just couldn’t get behind the characters. I found myself wanting to do anything but read this story. Maybe others will like it, it just wasn’t my cup of tea. DNF:30%
Researcher Angelica Hernandez finds a disturbing shift in the dormant Aguilera Volcano. She desperately requires additional resources and money to investigate the highly unusual phenomenon, and the only person willing to help is the arrogant businessman who interrupted her class. Dragon shifter Ti Anda discovers Ange’s tantalizing scent during an informal visit to the university. He offers to sponsor Ange’s research mission, and even volunteers to help with her fieldwork. Ti’s reasons are personal—his dragon has claimed the woman and the volcano as his own. When saboteurs threaten Ange and her project, Ti’s protective instincts reveal a truth that Ange is unwilling to believe. Ti will have to convince her that his unique ability to shapeshift doesn’t change anything between them—or risk losing the woman who belongs in his life.
This was a pretty good book. It was fast-paced with characters I liked. I can’t wait to read more from this author.
**I voluntarily read and reviewed this book
Dragon shifters and a smart woman! Love this premise and I love paranormal romance, steamy and perfect :) absolutely entertaining. I had never read a book by this author before but i will definitely be looking out for more titles.
Great for paranormal romance fans
A big thank you to NetGalley for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. First time reading this author. This is the second book in a series, and I have not read the first. That being said, this reads quite well as a stand alone book. A volcanologist and a dragon...hmmmm. It was an interesting book, full of surprises, and suspense. Location was in Santiago Child so a really different setting. I quite liked the book. I didn't quite understand the Hannah thing but I let it go. I rated this as a 3.5. I think most paranormal romance readers would enjoy.
Slow to start but it was enetertaining and overall it was an enjoyable read.i will keep a lookout for other books by this author
❤️❤️❤️❤️

After reading Dragon Reborn, I thought of Ti is the villain so was surprised when this book was about him - as the hero! Poor Ti looked down on humans and was surprised when he smelled that his mate was a human.
Along with the discovery of his mate, Ti was trying to figure out who was illegally mining on his volcano. There is lots of action and drama as the group tries to stop the bad guys, and try to find who is the mastermind behind the miners.
Ange was thrown into the world of shifters when Sophia had to rescue them from being killed. She seemed to deal with it but needed to take some time to think it throgh, and I loved that she not only accepted Ti but encouraged him to call his brothers and reconcile.
I sure hope that we get another book and Lancelot gets his turn at love!
This is book 2 in this series and can absolutely be read as a stand alone. I did not read the first one and understood everything that was going on in it. This one is about dragon shifter Ti Anda and volcano researcher Angelica Hernandez. Ti comes across Ange's scent after an impromptu visit to the local university. After following her scent to a classroom, he barges in to "listen" to what is being said about the research they are conducting. And offers to help fund it in order to spend more time with her. Ange doesn't like how arrogant he is but there is a pull between them she definitely isn't expecting. And once they are out in the field, neither was expecting to find exactly what they did find.
I really liked this story. I was slightly iffy since I hadn't read the first one but it sounded good, so I thought, why not? I am glad I did! It definitely kept my attention and I liked the characters together. Ti came across as a jerk at the beginning and I think with his relationship with Ange, he grew as a person by the end. Ange is a strong person, even after finding out about shifters the way she does. The fact that she moves beyond fear and understands the relationship she has the opportunity for is great. I even liked the side characters. After reading this I went to find the first book and now I can't wait for the next brother's book!
First book I've read by LC Alleyne and I am pleasantly surprised. It was a good solid story with paranormal elements. Love a good dragon romance and this one fits the bill. Nice writing overall.
3.5 Stars
Dragon Redeemed by L.C. Alleyne is book Two in the Lords of Lysuholl series. This is the story of Angelica Hernandez and Ti Anda. I have yet read the previous book so for me this was a standalone book.
Ti just happens to find Angelica his mate after a heated meeting and he walks away to clear his head. Ti 'smells' her and that leads him to finding her.
Angelica is wanting to research the Aguilera Volcano so when Ti steps in to help with the finial end along with going with them she is excited. But Ti seems to making in clear that he wants her too.
It was a enjoyable read!
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest opinion.
Ti is a businessman in Chile and oh yeah...a dragon shifter also. One day while at the local University he finds something drawing him to someone in particular, Ange...who is apparently his fated mate. He decides to fund a research project she is on for 2 reason...1) It's his Volcano that is being researched and 2) he wants to spend time with Ange.
As much as Ti annoyed her when they met, she finds herself very attracted to him. He takes her out to dinner "to discuss the Volcano research project" and she is trying to break the attraction between them so her project will not be compromised.
When they get to the site, they find that the situation is not as it seemed. Apparently someone is trying to mine and is basically making a hole in the side of the Volcano so they can mine easier. This of course is illegal, as the Volcano is in a National Park and is protected.
Will Ti and Ange fight the attraction? Will they find out who is trying to mine? What will happen when she discovers the real Ti? How serious is the danger to them?
I really enjoyed this book! As a matter of fact, I went back and changed it from 4 to 5 stars.
I thought the writing was very well done, it really did give me a "visual" of the story.
Ti of course is extremely well off financially, after all he has lived a VERY long life. He is very generous and donates to good causes. He is liked and respected by many. Ange is no slouch either, as she is working on her Doctorate. These 2 are pretty steamy together and the more they are together, the more the mating calls to them.
Ange has several things going on at once. She has been in serious danger more than once and then she finds out her man is a very old dragon! It's a lot to handle but what's meant to be will happen...even if the road is a little longer and twisty!
Great story!
I received a copy of Dragon Redeemed by L.C. Alleyne from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Normally I am a little leery about jumping into a series without reading the first book lest I miss characters or nuances that the first book set up. Happily, even being the second book, Dragon Redeemed was easily picked up and understood as I got up to speed. The author didn't retread the first novel, but did introduce the characters and plot in a way that gave the reader knowledge of the novel's world, without bogging things down.
Very entertaining read; fast paced with the plot threads and decently solid on the science as well.. I would read a future novel (or the first in this series) by L.C. Alleyne without hesitation.
Well the book was so addictive that I couldn’t put down. Good twist in the book and so sexy 🙀. That at some parts in the book made my heart 💔. The happy ending well was something else I would tell friends about it. I’m glad she wasn’t scared of ti when he took dragon form😏
Ti is a dragon shifter who meets his mate in a university graduate student, Ange. He is estranged from his family and has made his own fortune. He donates generously to the university for an exploration to study volcanic activity and goes with them in order to spend more time with Ange. Ange is determined to be independent and self reliant. There is danger and intrigue in their adventure. Ange helps to mend fences with his family which leaves open opportunities for future books. They are a good match and seem to work through their differences with relative ease.
Interesting!
Fast paced and action packed with lots of emotion and drama!
I voluntarily read an advanced copy.
Those who enjoyed Dragon Reborn might have mixed feelings about Ti, the dragon shifter who features here but actually his story had a lot going on. The action takes place in Chile where the very successful Ti runs his business but as the story begins he has grave concerns for the land that his dragon has claimed. When he smells what could possibly be his mate he is shocked to discover that Ange is not only human but an archaeologist about to investigate the volcano he has claimed ! Determined to get closer to Ange Ti offers to support her investigations but there's unexpected complications when they arrive and someone definitely doesn't want Ti or Ange there .
This was very different to other shifter books I've read and it's technical details about volcanology and the study of dormant and active volcanoes really added to my enjoyment. Ange is written as a passionate researcher and I quite liked this strong, active woman. Add in Ti who tries so very hard to woo Ange without bombarding her and just whisking her away and it made for a very interesting read. So often we get alpha males who are arrogant and determined to dominate the woman they love but here Ti is portrayed as flawed, vulnerable and I actually liked him more because of it. The second half of this book went in directions I wasn't expecting but there is a happy ending and as a romance reader that's exactly what I want.
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair
Unfortunately, Ms Alleyne's writing is just not for me. No matter how hard I tried, I simply could not get into it and engage with the characters and the plot of the story. Admittedly, I think this one is better written than Dragon Reborn and the writing is a lot smoother than before, but it still didn't resonate with me. Believe me, I tried. I gave the book up to 25% tried to keep going but finally had to admit defeat.
