Gifted read by Netgalley for an honest review.
An ok read just not great. Both Tanner and Lauren are immature and lack communication skills! Second chance romance but because of leads it just didn't keep me interested. I am not a fan of acting immature while being an adult. Anyone who has ever been in love, true love, would never ever put a job before the one they love ! Sadly in this book, both did! I kept picturing both leads at different points pouting and stomping their feet!
I have a soft spot for cowboys and also for strong women. This book has both! Yay! So needless to say, I really enjoyed this one. Both Tanner and Lauren are ambitious and set on making their own future. Tanner, son of the Ford dynasty, had an easy life ahead of him as the heir of the family fortune. However, he wanted to make his own name in history by riding bulls and busting broncos, and being the number one. When he gets injured, his sole focus is to get back in shape en restart his career.
Lauren is a top physical therapist, who has sacrificed a lot to become one of the top therapists in the country. When she is asked to help Tanner get back in shape, she reluctantly agrees to help him. She still feels her walking away from Tanner twelve years ago as her biggest mistake.
Thrown together, the chemistry between them is still as strong as ever. But the reasons for their break up are still smouldering. Can they resist the attraction or will they be burnt like all those years ago?
Find out for yourself in All Night With the Cowboy. Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.
Great easy read. Very detailed and the feelings really came off the pages. Found it difficult to put down in places.
We head back to Texas and the Ford family in this River Ranch novel from Soraya Lane.
Tanner, a championship bullrider, has unfortunately been injured during competition and needs the services of a physical therapist.
Lauren Lewis has a solid reputation in the field of sports therapy and is just what Tanner needs BUT Lauren and Tanner were high school sweethearts and she ripped out his heart!
Decisions have to be made though and Tanner needs to get back in the bull ring! So reluctantly, Tanner agrees to employ Lauren to help him get back in shape.
Between misunderstandings and things left unsaid, Tanner and Lauren are pretty much the typical exes.
What they never got wrong however, was their physical relationship and they decide to re-visit it whilst they work on getting Tanner back to full fitness.
As a second chance romance Tanner and Lauren tick all the right boxes. Hurt feelings and misconceptions have to be sorted out before their HEA can be within reach.
The story that is weaved in order to get them there is, at times, sad as well as funny and even downright frustrating but be reassured Soraya Lane gets there with style.
With further introduction to the other Ford siblings, we are only left wondering who will be next in the River Ranch saga. I, for one, am looking forward to it!
Love second chance romances and this is another awesome one by Soroya! It is fun and sexy and the chemistry between Lauren and Tanner is off the charts even though so many years have gone by since they were together. This is one of my favorite romance tropes and Soroya does it so well in this very enjoyable story.
The premise of needing the old flame to rehab and continue with life was a good one, but the method this story used for that with the island vacation was a little ridiculous. Fun read though.
All night with the Cowboy was a fun flirty read that put a big ole grin on my face. Get ready to giddy up, this Cowboy is one you don't want to miss. Lauren and Tanner were high-school sweethearts which sadly ended in heartbreak. They could never move on from their first and utter heartbreak. And fate seemed to want these two back together for good.
One injury, will change everything!
A romance once lost and burned turns swiftly rekindled.
I am looking forward to reading more from Soraya Lane.
This book was a wonderfully enjoyable, won’t let you go story. This is one of those books that I just couldn’t put down until I finished it......literally. The story is angsty with past love, past hurts & present needs. The story of a second chance at first love, when PBR champion Tanner takes a life threatening fall from a bull & is in need of physical therapy to help him recover from his many injuries, his sister finds him the best professional athlete physical therapist around, Lauren.......the girl who broke his heart twelve yrs ago. The characters are strong willed & soft of heart with a major dose hot & sexy. The battle to keep their hearts safe is real because twelve yrs hasn’t stopped either of them from still loving each other. Throw in a private beach house, a private island picnic & a terrifying tropical storm & you’ve got the makings of a sexy love story. Definitely enjoyed this book & can’t wait to read the next book in this series. Definitely recommend.
When it comes to Tanner Ford, Lauren Lewis knows she let the best thing to happen to her slip through her fingers, but at the time she felt like it was the best thing to do. She was given a choice, and she made the one that was right for her at the time, but now she realizes it was a huge mistake, one that she has regretted for a long time. But lucky for her, Tanner is back in town, still single, and needs her help, the only problem is he only needs her expertise in sports related injuries...
Tanner Ford has had an amazing career thus far on the rodeo circuit, but his latest injury might just take him out permanently, unless he does something drastic to get his body and mind back on track. So he heads home to heal, and seeks out the best physical therapist he can find, and winds up finding a whole lot more than he bargained for... a gorgeous old flame to be precise! But he's not looking for love right now, and certainly not with the woman who broke his heart all those years ago!
All Night With The Cowboy is second chance romance at it's best, with it's emotionally driven plot, and delightful characters you can't go wrong with this one!! I have to say I loved this series visit even more than the first, this story line struck a cord with me, had me really feeling the words, and continually flipping the pages... simply said, it was unputdownable!! This beautifully written story is guaranteed make you smile and swoon, inspire a few blushes, and leave your heart happy! Highly recommend you take a chance on it, you won't be disappointed!!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from NetGalley, and voluntarily read and reviewed it.
“That damn bull broke my body, but you were the one who broke my heart.”
I really enjoyed this second chance romance. The story grabs you from the prologue with the full action of the bull ride that eventually brings these two former lovers together. The characters are fully developed, interesting, and I genuinely wanted them to reach their HEA. They are both successful at and committed their careers. While they are mostly strangers after twelve years apart, they still have smoking hot chemistry that comes off the pages. I liked that the characters had to work through their issues; he was hurt and she had guilt. I liked that they didn’t automatically fall into bed together, they had to work through their past. All Night with the Cowboy is a good cowboy/second chance romance. It is book 2 in the series but can be read as a standalone.
Thank you to St. Martin’s Press via Netgalley for the ARC
I had some trouble buying in to the premise of the book. Tanner is a champion bull rider who has been badly injured in his last ride. He’s also the son of one of the biggest landowners in Texas so he and his family have lots of money to throw around into his recovery. His sister thinks he needs his own personal therapist and the best one happens to be Lauren Lewis, the woman who was his girlfriend all through high school and then just broke up with him for no reason. He’s been bitter and angry about it for the past 12 years. Meanwhile, she’s gone to college and become the physical therapist to the Texas Rangers. She’s very professional and, as we’re told, has worked really hard on her reputation to never fool around with a patient. Well, we know what is going to happen with that rule, right?
It just so happens that she is going on a long-planned trip to Fiji. So the only way she can work with Tanner is if he come with her. Sure. That happens. Luckily, he’s a multi-millionaire so they can jet off in the family’s private plane and stay in a luxurious villa on an island there.
The rest is pretty predictable. The only question is why she left him in the first place and if he can forgive her. Of course he can. She’s beautiful. They’re in Fiji. And she’s helping him get physically in shape so he can go back to riding bulls again. What’s not to fall for?
I found her reason for breaking up with him and not telling him less convincing and forgivable, but she was a kid so maybe readers can cut her some slack. I didn’t like her that much as a character and she kept moping around about choices she’d made. He kept moping around because he’s injured and angry at her. They’d get past it for a bit and then mope some more. A big storm came in and they left and went back to Texas and moped some more. Then they decide to stop moping and the book is over. I was quite ready for the end by that point. I realized that I had only stuck with it because I owed a review for getting a free copy, not because I cared all that much.
I was given a free ARC of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
Another great read from Soraya Lane! Though a series book there is no sense of having read this story, it is completely different. I am impressed with the writing style and character development. I will be watching for more from Soraya Lane!
This is a story about forgiveness & a second chance at love. I have not read any other books by this author, but enjoyed this book. If you are looking for a fun romantic story that has an interesting plot, then check out this book!
I dnf this book at 35%
the reasons why i dnf this book
-the character's where unrelatable and they both where annoying
-i loved the premise if the story (mainly the rodeo parts) but the used to lovers to now enemies was not in my opion done right
I loved Lauren and Tanner's second chance story! I'm glad that they were able to forgive and put the past behind them. I loved that they were able to figure out how to live in the real world after being on vacation away in the tropics.
WOW!!! Amazing second chance story. Tanner and Lauren were amazing together and although it took more heartbreak, they finally managed to find their HEA.
Can Tanner and Lauren find love for a second time.....well when tanner takes a fall and needs a physical therapist in walks Lauren so maybe. Tanner wants to revive his rodeo career and needs Lauren to do that. Great book
Thanks to St Martin’sPress and NetGalley for a copy of this book. This was not the type of book I’d normally read, but I did enjoy it. I would imagine it is a must for lovers of this genre. Good strong characters and a romance which develops under difficult conditions. A good, light read
What a pleasure to discover a new to me author.
Tanner Ford, former bad boy and Lauren his former highschool sweetheart have a second chance.
They reconnect as adults for professional reasons but the chemistry is still there.
The story was a fun, easy read that kept me glued to my kindle. Who doesn't love a broken heart novel that has a chance to repair? I look forward to seeing what else this author has written.
4.5 Stars
A sizzling second chance romance with an injured bad boy bullrider and his childhood sweetheart-turned-physical therapist. Located partly on a tropical island and partly on the family ranch in Texas, the settings are gorgeously described. The story, the chemistry between the lovers, and the additional characters are developed better in this installment (book 2, but can be read as a stand-alone). This series gets better with each book. For contemporary romance fans.
