Ahhh 5 Cinnamon Crunch Stars!
Rian and Pierce are one of my new favourite Helena Hunting couples. I loved the humour and banter, the back story and especially the hot chemistry! You will be hooked from start to finish, with Helena Huntings unique brand of humour perfectly mixed with a dash of drama, and one hell of a storyline.
I want more about Marley and Lawson next!
I Love Helena Hunting! I read Clipped Wings by her last year and got hooked. I flipping Love You has all of her usual trademarks: sweet romance, drama, sexy scenes...
I have to sadly confess though that I am very behind on her books. For example, I haven't read the other books in this series. Embarrassing I know... I am telling you this so you know that I Flipping Love You worked great as a stand alone, so if you like the blurb give it a go regardless if you have or not read the previous books. You can always go back and read the other ones later (I know I will).
Let's start by saying that this was a cute and sweet read. Some of Helena Hunting's books are intense, some have a heavy dosage of kink... This was one was light and sweet.
Pierce and Rian meet by accident. Literally. Rian's twin sister hits his car and does a 'hit and run' on him. When he first sees Rian he thinks she is the one who did it. There is chemistry between them right from the start and it was fun reading their banter.
Pierce was a sweetheart from beginning to end. I wanted to jump into the book and give the guy a hug. He was a very down to earth mature guy that knew exactly what he wants in life and is trying to make it happen.
The book loses a point because of Rian. Her character was a tad daft and annoying at times. Specially towards the end... but I suppose you will all have to read it and figure it out for yourselves. It is certainly worth it. As all her books are 💗
I flipping love this book! This is an entertaining read, funny, witty and sexy! The humor makes this a page turner. The banter between Rian and Pierce is soooo good-funny and sexy! This is definitely a must read!
This story begins with Rian being confronted in a grocery store by a gorgeous man who is accusing her of hitting his car in the parking lot and taking off. After much confusion, Rian realizes that it was actually her twin sister who hit this guys car.
Pierce can’t believe his luck. First he runs into the woman who hit his car in the same store only to realize there are two of her...and after only a few minutes he knows he is hooked.
Competing siblings for real estate flips lead to drama and misunderstandings and what was supposed to be a summer fling is quickly becoming much more. Will Rian and Pierce have a real shot at a happily ever after?
My review:
This story ended up being a little different than what I was expecting based on the blurb but I still really enjoyed it.
Rian and Pierce are very well written characters and their siblings are great side characters. The story has just the right amount of humor, passion and drama to make it a really good read.
My thoughts:
<b>POV</b> switches between Rian and Pierce
<b>Quick hook or slow starter?</b> 5 (I was hooked from the first chapter)
<b>Character development:</b> 4
<b>Level of Romance between characters:</b> 4
<b>Passion/Heat level:</b> 3.5 (This is the only part of the story that left me wanting more...could have been a little more heat with the chemistry build up for these two)
<b>Angst/Heartbreak:</b> 4 (both are keeping secrets that lead to drama)
<b>Cliffhanger?: </b> No, this one is wrapped up in the end with a great epilogue.
Overall, another great read from Helena and I really enjoyed it! Can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next!
Unfortunately, while I loved the other books in this series, Pierce and Rian were not my favorite as I found their dialogue to be a little awkward at times. I am a bug fan of this author however and look forward to the next one.
Loved this book lots of romance and mystery just what i always think of with Helena Hunting's books they always have me coming back.
A chance encounter romance story and also about flipping houses. Rian (that's pronounced RYAN) and Pierce both live in the Hamptons. One has a ton of money, the other is making a life for themselves. The timeline is mostly in the present and goes to the past when it pertains to the characters or events.
The characters are very likable with some issues or challenges from the past. There is comedy too, that would make you laugh.
I flipping love this book, thank you for accompanying me this weekend you made my weekend nice during a damp and rainy week. I would recommend it to readers that enjoy romance-comedy stories.
I can't wait for the release of this book in paperback, audiobook and any of her upcoming books
I Flipping Love You is a wonderful new story by the wonderful Helena Hunting. From Rian and Pierce's first meeting, we're treated to terrific banter between them, and a strong attraction. There is a bit of angst and mixed signals, along with fun and romance. This book is set in the world of Shacked Up and Hooked Up, and gives you look into characters you've come to know. Enjoy Rian and Pierce's wild ride.
I FLIPPING floved this book, and yes I might over use the word "Flipping" 😍😁😆😜.
It is flipping cutesy and flipping hilarious! Be aware of drinking fluids or eating ... You will choke or spit out your food or water as in my case lol. I was drinking some water and I got to a "pool scene" and I laughed and water came spraying out of my nose. And no I'm not going to elaborate on the scene . You must read for yourself. You will not be disappointed 😂😁💗📖
Don't worry if you haven't read Helena's first two in the "Shacking Up" series, I haven't read them either, you won't be lost. I will say that I have went and bought the other two because I'm now flipping interested in the other characters that made an appearance.
It's a flipping one clicker!

This was fun! I've never read anything by this author before and found her writing style to be easy to read and just fun. The banter back and forth flowed and I found myself literally laughing out loud at points- which gave me away at work so they knew I was reading vs working! :) Good thing I work at a bookstore!! I didn't realize this was part of a series, so will be going back to read the others. Can read on it's own, but I think it will add more to the story having read the other 2 books.
From the moment Rian and Pierce meet in a grocery store, the author had me laughing out loud. Even though they have undeniable chemistry, Rian is skeptical to give Pierce a chance, and I just loved his relentlessness in pursuing her. And with fate throwing them together at every opportunity, Kian didn’t stand a chance.
I flipping loved this book. It is cute, funny, sexy and an adorable read. This is my first book in this standalone series and I am going to correct that ASAP.
This is my first book by this author and I loved it! I am not going to repeat a summary of the story.....I'll just give you my honest review. I finished this book with a smile on my face and I actually stated out loud "that was a great book!" The pace of the story is great - It never felt slow and I was never tempted to skim the pages. I read a lot of books and some are well worth the time - others not so much. I loved the characters and it was a fun story well worth my time. I highly recommend it!
Wow, what an amazing hero! Pierce absolutely makes me swoon in this novel. I adored him. I throughly enjoyed the story and the characters. The first chapter had me hooked and I loved every single word from the interaction in between Pierce and Rian. The romance between the protagonists is sweet and sexy at the same time. The chemistry between them sets the sheets on fire and the dialogues and scenes made me laugh out loud. I especially loved the scene with the lime green speedos. I couldn’t put this book down and absolutely loved it. This was the first book that I have read from this author and I cannot wait to get my hands on Amalie and Lex’s book. If you are looking for a funny, sexy and swoon worthy romance, I would definitely recommend this amazing book.

I initially requested this book because it made me think of Fixer Upper and I am completely obsessed with Chip & Joanna! So then I stumble on this book that is about a girl who wants to start flipping houses with her twin sister and a rich guy who's brother is trying to get into flipping houses, as well. Plus, there's a steamy romance in it. Well, I was sold!
The ultimate question is always - did the book live up to the hype? With "I Flipping Love You", the answer is a complete YES! There was nothing about this book that I didn't like. I loved the romance the most in this. Rian (with an "i", not a "y") is so over bad boys so when she meets Pierce (whose expensive car her twin sister scratched). And the sparks between them start flying almost immediately. I loved the sexual tension in this book and the attitude of the characters toward each other. I really don't think there was anything I didn't like about this book!
Two people trying to reinvent themselves discover an attraction that threatens to derail both of their plans. That’s hardly a new trope in romance, but “I Flippin’ Love You” brings refreshing, funny and sweet characters spiced with secondary players who aren’t easily labeled.
I’m seeing more and more books set (improbably to me) in the world of real estate sales. But the more I think about it, it makes sense. There’s money, drama, people’s lives—past, present and future-- all there to mine. Helena Hunting breaks down the high stakes world of Hamptons real estate to reveal the people trying to survive it and while I have no idea whether her depiction is accurate, it sure is enjoyable.
Rian (note the spelling: she always does) and Pierce meet cute. She’s got a twin sister so there you go, mistaken identity. Her sister is kind of the yang to her yin. Or maybe the other way around. Pierce has a brother that is hard to like but who plays a key role. Helena Hunting fans: You may remember Pierce from Hunting’s “Hooking Up,” sister Amalie’s story. She too makes an appearance.
Each sibling duo is deeply engaged in buying and flipping or renting Hampton properties and become rivals. Friendly rivals, in the case of Rian and Pierce. Real friendly: In the kitchen, on the beach; you get the point. There was an awful lot of lovin’ and I was beginning to miss character development when Pierce breaks through with the kind of book boyfriend perfection that made the second half of the novel a page-turner for me. How Rian can redeem her past and help Pierce move on to the future he wants makes for a funny, touching story.
Highly recommended

A cute contemporary romance stuck somewhere between the funny and the feels.
<b>"This is the pinnacle of desperate attraction. This is the chemical reaction that ignores and burns until there's nothing left but ash."</b>
Rian is this chick who keeps her heart in an emotion Ft Knox..bc reasons. Along comes Pierce - this dude who seems like a cocky, playboy. But that could totally be Rian leaping to some big ridiculous assumptions. Ryan feels like maybe Pierce is safe for her heart bc she dismisses who he is. Of course they both unnecessarily keep secrets from one another that later come back to bite them in the ass.
<b>"'Why are you so hell-bent on villainizing me?'"</b>
There's banter. Pierce pushes all of Rian's buttons (which I find annoying, but seems necessary bc she's wrapped up tighter than a good burrito.) Rian resists. Pierce persists. There's a lot of real estate transactions.
<b>"'Because you look like you're good at breaking hearts and bed frames.'"</b>
Not a bad read, but I'm in the midst of a promising series and ready to get back there. I'm not sure that real estate romance flicks my Bic.

This book was the first one in the Shacking Up series for me
Helena doesn't disappoint. Rian is as sassy as ever and when she meets Pierce all she sees is an arrogant sexy man.. Sexy as all getup.. When Pierce keeps pursing her how long before Rian gives in and if she does can she keep her past from ruining another relationship?
The banter between Rian and Pierce is hilarious.. He is the sweet sexy talker and she just gives him sass...
I Flipping Love You is Helena Hunting at her very best! I laughed and I swooned. Hard! I devoured every single page and even though I got my expected HEA, I still wanted more. Fantastically written.
