Wow! I loved this book! Such good chemistry between this two characters from beginning to end. Rian and Pierce, at first glance appear to be an unlikely couple, however, they are perfect for each other.
They meet in a grocery store where Rian thinks Pierce is checking her out, but what he is really trying to do is determine if she is the woman who hit his car and drove away. He finally approaches her and guess what? It wasn’t her! It was her twin sister!!! LOL! Pierce is instantly attracted to her and later, we learn she is too.
This is my new favorite book from Helena Hunting. I have read ALL her previous books. This is the third one in this series, but it can be read as a standalone.

This is my first and last Helena Hunting book. The story is great, but the completely sexual writing ruins the story. I am disappointed, and obviously I don't agree with what some call sexy and funny.

Hunting scores big fan points for this fun read. Funny, poignant, sweet and spicy, you won't put this one down. Pierce and Rian have great chemistry, funny quirks and real world problems that create some interesting tension in the story. Set in the Hamptons, the book is a great summer read. Pick this book up today with no fear - you will have a great time!

I love this author.. she is freaking so hilarious and flipping writes believable characters. So this series is all standalone and there is absolutely nothing lost about it.
This story is about a woman who wrecked a Tesla , a woman who fell in love with a man, a life made in dreams and a life set in reality. This book is quirky, funny, relatable, sexy and overall enjoyable.
Pierce is the PERFECT male role he is dreamy and amazing
<b> I want to fucking consume you.” </b>
He is a patent writer and messes up one patent that sends his family in an uproar and his life in a spiral. He runs away to the Hamptons to escape the scandal that falls due to his mistake. <spoiler> the scandal never happens and I am super curious about it!! </spoiler> He is an honest, open man who thinks with his heart who makes me want him just as bad as well all know Rian does.
Rian… is sooo relatable. She is not perfect, she makes mistakes, she overreacts, she blames and she loves with everything she has. Rian is looking out for her family’s best interest and along the way she realizes she is allowed her own happiness as well.
Rian and Pierce are connected in real estate with buying, leasing and flipping houses. What happens between the two is flipping hilarious, sexy and ridiculous.

It appears there is more going on in the Hamptons than anyone has ever known.

Off to go swoon about Pierce =]

Wow, this is definitely one-clicking material! I’d just finished reading a darkish angst-ridden book and feeling rather jiggered when I dived into I Flipping Love you. I enjoyed the first book in the Shacking Up series, book two escaped me but this romantic comedy well...it certainly lifted my spirits! At first glance, I got the feeling it would lean towards the light-hearted with a little drama to spice things up. Actually, there is a lot more to Rian with an i and Pierce’s story than meets the eye. For me, it was all down to the excellent character development in a well-thought-out plot. I honestly had no idea what a couple of AmE real estate words meant, so in all my ignorance, I referred to the Webster’s Dictionary. But was it worth the effort? Definitely! Let’s talk about the cover! I can’t argue that it didn’t depict the male protagonist perfectly since I often find the image misleading, but it’s so him. And the title—it couldn’t have been better.

What sold me and I have to confess I’m not easy to please, were the protagonists’ contrasting personalities. Their paths cross in the most peculiar of circumstances that’ll get more than a smile out of you. Here, Hunting’s storytelling prowess flourishes. Looks and words are exchanged, sexual tension sizzles. And much to Pierce’s delight, Rian’s cage is easily rattled. Her confusion is as such that I felt like a bystander watching her discomfort unfold in such a visual scene, crying with laughter would be putting it mildly.

“I don’t understand why you want to go out with me. It’s not as though I’ve been particularly friendly, or even nice or encouraging.”

Rian has a few problems. She’s not proud of a complicated past and keeps it on the hush-hush. Also, dating experiences always seem to backfire and getting involved isn’t exactly on her agenda. Hence, I found her get-on-in-life-without-distractions attitude understandable. However, she wasn’t banking on Pierce’s positive attributes. This man is not only flippin’ gorgeous, he’s also a flippin’ tease, sensitive and can I have him...please! So, while we’re all trying to fathom him out exactly what he wants, he takes great pleasure in pushing her boundaries, wiggling under her skin and making her blow hot and cold. Question is, will he be able to win her over or better said, will she succumb to his charms!

“You do not get to call me pet names, a-hole.”
“Is that my pet name?”

Connecting with Rian wasn’t difficult, especially after what had happened to her and her twin sister was revealed. Her backstory is narrated in such a way that one gets the impression both of them had fallen from grace which is far from the truth. Nonetheless, I couldn’t help wondering if she worried unduly about the future because of this. A dab hand with numbers, trying to keep her head and her sister’s above water in what appears to be a cut-throat business isn’t easy when a project close to her heart could be in jeopardy. Yet this guy still has the knack of cropping up when least expected messing up even the best-laid plans.

“Maybe you have too much in common. Maybe you should be looking for someone who’s less...numbery.”
“Numbery isn’t even a word…”

This oh-so-deliciously-sweet story kept me stuck to the pages and not because it’s all flowers or instalove. Granted, the chemistry is scorching hot as Rian and Pierce’s new relationship progresses, and all the hurdles be damned, the pages started heating up like what the freakin’ heck! But behind all this, there is so much more to discover.

“Because there’s chemistry here, and I doubt you’ll be able to ignore it indefinitely.”
“Wow, it’s surprising you can fit through a door with the size of your ego.”

I adored Pierce’s live and let live attitude regardless of his professional career issues. His smiles, small details which made me swoon, literally convinced me that if anyone could persuade Rian to take a step back and enjoy life, it was him. He is a fixer. A man not to be taken lightly regardless of his wit. Ooh, and his dog, Trip! Simply adorable!

“I wonder what a threesome with twins would be like. Do you think it gets confusing?”
“You’re disgusting.”

The secondary character development is without a doubt, spot on. Rian’s twin sister, Marley, is quite the individual, adding a good dose of humour to even the most comical moments. Count on the giggles and ribbing between Pierce and his siblings, Lawson and Amalie, too. Despite the brothers being as different as chalk and cheese, most of the time they’re on the same wavelength in the running of their business, and I loved the way Lawson encouraged Piece to think seriously about his other job. Hmm, I’d be a pleasure to get to know Lawson better, hint hint! What I do know is Hunting kept me entertained from beginning to end with a solid no-nonsense story which I’d recommend at the drop of a hat to any of my book buddies. Bravo!

This is such a great rom com. I love the idea of mixing business with pleasure you never really know what to expect. The characters have such a great chemistry and sense of humor. You can’t help but laugh out loud when you read a book from this series. The plot of flipping house was such a great idea and I loved seeing how everyone worked together. I enjoyed that we were able to see how Rian and Pierce really worked for their relationship it wasn’t an insta love. The writing flowed at just the right pace and I really enjoyed this book as a whole. This is a feel-good romance that everyone should read.
I received a copy from NetGalley for an honest review.

I FLIPPING LOVE YOU is my first read by Helena Hunting, if you don't count her fanfic from way back. I freely admit that I am not the target audience for her stories; but I also have to admit that I rather enjoyed this lighthearted and pleasant tale. Rian is on her way up in the world, crawling the career ladder. After her family lost everything they had growing up, she’s now trying to get her finances in order so that she and her sister can finally flip their own beach front property. Meeting Pierce was not at all on her radar. At least until he’s all over it and competing for a slice of his own beach front property.

Their connection might be undeniable, but Rian as goals and baggage while Peirce is trying to make his own luck and isn’t on the market for more than a fling or a flip. Yet they find themselves getting dirty not only fixing up their fixer uppers but with some bedroom gymnastics too.

I FLIPPING LOVE YOU is a light and breezy story, guaranteed to please fans of Helena Hunting and NA romance.

This book was so much fun! It had the right mix of hotness along with character and plot development. It is always a pleasure when an author writes dialogue that is both witty as well as capturing why two characters are attracted to each other. Too often we’re told they talked and liked each other, but not shown what it is that they said because the author is not talented enough to write the sort of dialogue that we’re being told happened. Not in this book.

Rian meets the hot and wealthy Pierce in a grocery store. He’s immediately attracted to her and enjoys setting her off just to see her give him sass right back. He goes after her and she turns him down several times despite being attracted to him. But, as they get to know one another (and have hot sex together) she comes to realize that he’s more than the sexy, arrogant, rich guy in the Hamptons that she thinks he is. Well, he’s all that, but he is also just a really nice guy. Sure, he’s arrogant especially as he goes after, but it’s sexy on him.

Rian has her own family history that she’s hiding from him, but we know already that Pierce is basically a good guy so it will all come right in the end. And we’ll have fun flipping for Pierce and this book as the story goes on.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

Shaking Up book 3

A new sexy romantic comedy by Helena Hunting. I do enjoy Helena's dirty, sexy fun writing.
This is a standalone novel, Pierce and Rian meet in a grocery store, so many laughs with this story. Rain has a twin sister are really funny.
At first I was like Pierce is a dick, cos I wasn't feeling him in the beginning. Rain and Pierce have a wicked hot connection from the beginning it was something I really enjoyed. I found this one light hearted and entertaining I really liked this one. I think overall it for me is more like a 3.5 read. Rain and her Sister are trying to flip their house as is Pierce. There is a wee touch of angst, and I think you will enjoy the characters a lot that it wont bother you.

5 STARS!

Rian Sutter grew up with the finer things in life until her parents lost everything. Now Rian and her twin sister are getting their life, and finances, back on track through real estate. Not only do they buy and sell houses to the rich and famous, but they finally have the capital to flip their very own beachfront property.
Pierce Whitfield is a down-on-his-luck lawyer who needed a break from the city and agreed to help his brother work on a few homes in the Hamptons.
When they first meet, there are some serious sparks! Sparks that had me up reading until 2am because I could not put this baby down!

What I liked about it:
Rian and Pierce had amazing chemistry from the moment they first met and one of the things I loved most about this book is that the chemistry remains all throughout the read. Some books have great chemistry in the beginning only to waver at the middle/end but not this book!
Rian and Pierce were also great characters and not the stereotypes I feel like I've read a lot of lately. Rian was smart and not just because the author told us she was, she consistently showed us how she was throughout the book and along the same vein, Pierce wasn't just a lawyer who flipped houses, he seriously knew what he was talking about (which I've found has been a pet peeve of mine in renovating/contracting male leads before).
The bickering throughout the first part of this book was great, it didn't feel cliche and neither character seemed too much of an a**hole or too b**chy which is something I loathe in 'hate-to-love' tropes!
Cannot express how much I loved the chemistry throughout this book, it was so consistent and not at all forced and I really enjoyed that they actually really liked each other (when Piece tells her he finds her intelligence attractive throughout the book, he means it) and complimented one another.

What I didn't like about it:
My only wish (not that it detracted from the story or my rating) was that we had been able to see Pierce talk to his parents regarding his job/their business a bit more.

I'm pretty loyal to a set of authors and in general, it takes a lot for me to try someone new. I find this especially true with romance because so many in this genre are 50 shades knockoffs and they lack the focus on story I so badly want to read. I was so happily surprised with this book. I loved the dynamics between Pierce and Rian and most of all, I loved Pierce and Rian individually. I was able to connect with them, understand them, and even seeing the big issue coming, I wanted to see how they worked it out. It was an easy read and I had fun reading it. Definitely checking out more from this author.

Loved this sweet story of overcoming distrust and pain to find your way to true love. Interesting back story and romantic resolution. I enjoyed it.

This started off entertaining and promising, but towards the second half Rian started to become a frustrating character to like. She was repetitive in her thought process regarding her past and how it could affect her relationships. It got to the point where it looked like she was purposely being blind to how irrational she was being, especially when Marley tried pointing it out. I think it would have been nice if Marley was the one that got through to her, considering she has the same past.

I Flipping Love You was flipping amazing! As usual Helena Hunting never disappoints. I have never laughed so hard at the very beginning of a book before! The banter between Pierce and Rian was hilariously fun and flirty!
Rian is a sassy independent woman trying to make a name for herself as a realtor while Pierce is taking a little time from his family’s company to focus on a few of his hobbies. The two meet in numerous awkward circumstances that you just can’t help but to LOL! Highly recommend this hot funny read!

My Review of “I Flipping Love You” by Helena Hunting St. Martin’s Press May 29, 2018

“I Flipping Love You” by Helena Hunting is an enjoyable, amusing, predictable story and a light read. The Genres for this story are Fiction, Women’s Fiction and Suspense. The story takes place in the Hamptons, and in New York City. The timeline is mostly in the present and goes to the past when it pertains to the characters or events in the story.

Helena Hunting describes her characters as likable, with problems and challenges. Rina Sutter and her twin sister grew up extremely wealthy, and were used to an elegant and luxurious lifestyle, until a tragic family scandal caused the twins to lose almost everything they had. The twins have started a career in real estate and flipping houses. Rian is the Mathematical genius and deals with the finances.

Pierce Whitfield and his family grew up with very little, and their father was able to change their circumstances so now they are very wealthy. Pierce is an attorney working in New York City, but enjoys working with his brother fixing up houses and renting and selling them.

From the get-go, Pierce and Rian seem to get along like oil and water, but there is no missing the fiery exchange between them. Of course, the real estate dealing is complicated, and competitive.

I enjoyed this novel and would recommend it to readers that enjoy stories with romance. I received an ARC from NetGalley for my honest review.

This was a very fun book that I enjoyed a lot! Between Pierce's determination that he and Rian are meant to be, and Rian's insistance they aren't, there are some great laugh out loud moments to be had in this one. Sparks of all kinds go off between these two as they go after the same properties. This is the first book I have read by Helena Hunting and I look forward to reading more of her work.

Greatly enjoyed this one--my expectations weren't very high, I don't know why, but when I started reading it I LOVED it. Nicely drawn, clear, characters, even secondary ones, fun plot, largely non-contrived problems.

I flipping loved this book!
It had just the right amount of sass, humor, romance and drama.
I got a few weird looks from my husband and kids while reading, I laughed that much!

I love Pierce's cockiness and the humor between him and Rian. I enjoyed following them through this story.

I was in a mood for a real feel-good book, a book that would bake me laugh over and over. "I flipping love you" was a perfect read for that. 5 stars

Fraternal twins meet guy in grocery store, one falls for him and vice versa, and clichés are running so high that I decide that I am not the target group for this book.
While the male protagonist (rich, angular jawline, gold flecks in his green eyes, of course!) is noted to be in his early thirties, this novel very much reads like a YA book, down to alternating 1st POV between female and male protagonists written in present tense.

This book focuses on Amalie's older brother, Pierce, and Rian. I loved the very first interaction between them and it was all thanks to Rian's twin sister, Marley, and her subpar driving skills. Rian and Pierce have what I would call a frenemies with benefits relationships in the beginning which turned into so much more. However, our couple does not have a smooth transition due to secrets and family ambitions.

I won't lie, Rian did get on my nerves majority of the time, but Pierce knew how to handle her and could turn the situation into something they both enjoyed ;) So basically I loved the book mostly for Pierce and his never-ending determination to get a date with Rian. I absolutely loved when he unknowingly would speak his mind when Rian did something he considered super hot.

If there is one thing I learned from this book, it's that beaches have FLEAS and I want no part of that!

I would love to know if Marley and Lawson (Pierce's younger brother) would get their own individual books.
