I found the conflict contrived. The sex scenes were decent but this book should have been much shorter.

Written with an obvious passion from the author, written with deep thought and planning which ultimately lead to this amazing and thrilling masterpiece of its genre. True love always finds away especially with destined lovers who are soul mates and in a sense this novel reminds me of my own love memoirs. I give my high seal of approval on this novel. Predictable story, but good none the less. I thought it was well written.

A well written story with believable, well formed characters. The story was pretty predicable but still very enjoyable. Its a light read which is perfect for a holiday or just an afternoon sitting in the sunshine. I read it in one afternoon.

Both Alissa and Pixton are damaged from their previous relationship. The story of how they heal with each other along the way is written beautifully and emotionally touching at many points.
Recommended for readers who are looking for healing type of love, definitely would be a good read for people who got heart broken before.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

An online match that writes it's own love story. With so many twist and turns you'll be taken aback.

Thank you NetGalley for letting me read this book for an honest review!
I totally loved that book! The cover first caught my eye to be honest and I just knew I had to read it! I couldn't put it down! Well written, easy to read, you just don't want to put it down, it's good from start to finish!
2 people meet online then in real life, instant chemistry! But it's more than just lust! Hot, steamy, they were made for each other!
My first time reading Carey Decevito, now I want to read more!

While initially I was excited to read this book based on the description I had a very difficult time getting through it. Usually, I can read a book in a day or some depending on how busy my days are, but with this book, it has taken me two whole weeks because I kept putting it down to read something else that was more interesting. I wanted so badly to enjoy it but it just didn't happen. It was so drawn out and predictable. I did, however, find it very refreshing that the book is written in Paxton's POV. I really loved that little switch up to the norm. The sex scenes were decent, but as stated a little predictable as well. Overall I won't be running out to buy a material copy of Once Written, Twice Shy anytime soon.

I could not finish this book. The premise was too silly. The writing was not good enough to hide the fact that the plot was bad.

After his bitter marriage ends, Paxton seeks respite from his loss. Rediscovering his writing, he never expected to create a piece worthy of reading, nor for two unsuspecting paths to cross in the most unconventional of ways.

Thousands of miles separated them, yet he’d never felt closer to anyone. Finding out that happiness and love was attainable again was one thing. But having Alissa - that was something else all together!

When the two finally meet in person, sparks fly. Their chemistry is beyond explosive, and emotions reach a boiling point. Their brief love affair ignited the fuse, but Paxton is shocked when his young son fans their fire. His sweet four-year-old boy immediately falls for the loving, meek, demurred woman in Alissa, and she starts to change both their lives. Then, she becomes their salvation - in ways no one could see coming.

This was amazing! I love Paxton and Alissa's story line. Alissa seems like the girl next door, but she's obviously so much more. She's so caring and giving. The sweet sweet child, is a wonderful addition. I loved the ups and downs of this story. It was definitely a page turner/not going to put down book!! I love how the lives of both Paxton and his ex-wife are interweaved with both "steps". Makes for an original story-line!!
Carey Decevito was a new author to me, and definitely one I'll seek to look for now!!

I received this book in digital format for free in return for my honest review.

Paxton comes home to see his wife packing her bags and leaving him for another man. After dealing with the divorce he meets Alissa online in a forum for writers. They begin to develop feelings and decide to meet. A sexy, sweet romance with a second chance at love. A great read, will be checking out the other books in the series.

It is a sweet romance with a sick child involved. I liked all of the characters even the ex-wife.

Once Written, Twice Shy is a sweet, sexy story. Alissa and Paxton meet online on a forum for amateur authors. They come to depend upon each other and develop real feelings. When they finally meet in person, the flame sparks and it's instant chemistry between the two. But, Pax is still fighting his ex for a divorce (she doesn't want to sign the papers even though she's openly living with the man she cheated on Pax with) and Alissa doesn't live anywhere near Pax. So can the two make a real relationship work with these obstacles?

I liked Once Written. Alissa and Pax make a hot, sweet couple and I like that there's never any doubt about their feelings for each other. Even better is the huge sacrifice that Alissa makes for Pax's son, Jasper. It just reinforces what a great character she is. I like how she instantly fits into Pax and Jasper's lives and makes them better. And I like how sweet Pax is. He's not the alpha type so prevalent in romance lately, but he is sweet and an amazing father.

Be forewarned, there is A LOT of sex in Once Written. The amount actually surprised me. It didn't detract from the real relationship that developed, but it was a bit much. Still, because Alissa and Pax are such a great couple and this story is so well rounded and so sweet, I can't really let the fact that there's a bit too much sex take away anything from my rating. 4 stars is perfect for this sweet, sexy romance.

Paxton is recovering after his wife left him from another man. Joining an amateur writing site, he connects with Alissa, a fellow writer who lives miles away. When they finally meet, sparks fly. Unfortunately, Paxton’s ex is not willing to let go and will use their son to get what she wants.
This is told from the male pov, which is unusual, and I enjoyed it. The sex scenes were steamy and hot. Those are the good points. Overall, I didn’t really enjoy this book. I didn’t connect with the characters; the story is disjointed without a flow to it. I would have preferred to have seen the initial interactions between Paxton and Alissa. While the sex scenes are well written the entire relationship is just alluded to. The reader does not get to see why these two fell for each other.
