An entertaining and multi-layered story. It definitely has some issues, of course, but I overall enjoyed the plot. There are things I wished the books included but it's an overall enjoyable story.

Mary Brock Jones does a good job of providing a multi-layered story of love, betrayal and redemption set amidst a sci-fi background. While in the beginning I was afraid the romantic elements would devolve into a bosoms-and-blasters tale, thankfully the writer avoided this cliche. I am eager to see what happens in book 3 of this series.
