When Jasmine returns to L.A. to take care of things after her mother dies, the last person she expects to see is Tyler Jenson. He was the love of her life until she was 17 and then moved away to live in Florida with her dad. Both Jas and Ty thought they’d be together forever, so it was a shock to everyone when she just suddenly up and moved. When Jas sees Ty outside of her mother’s workplace she tells herself that she’s over him and moves on after they say hello. She never expects Ty to show up at her mom’s apartment asking for sex but she’s more than willing to give it to him. They both say “no strings” and that it doesn’t mean anything, but one night turns into a week and a half and by that time they each know that there are more strings than they can handle.

Ty can tell himself that he’s over Jas all he wants but he knows that he’s lying to himself. He was devastated when Jas suddenly moved and broke all ties with him. He never stopped loving her and when he sees her again, all of those old feelings bubble to the surface. While he says the sex means nothing to him, inside he knows that it means so much. A tough biker he may be but with Jas he’s a kind, giving person – and one that had always put Jas first in his life. Pieces of a puzzle he could never understand ten years earlier start to come together and what Ty discovers changes his life forever.

I have to say that when I picked up this book I wasn’t expecting it to be as emotional as it was. At first, when Jas and Ty get together it was pretty standard reunion stuff. There was, however, an emotional thread that started weaving throughout the story the longer the two were together that caught my attention. It was subtle, but there, and written pretty well. As the book continued things got very emotional and frankly there was one point in the book where I almost cried. I almost never cry while reading! WTH? Lol

Now, I didn’t read either book one or two in this series so I had no insights into the secondary characters/couples that appeared in this story. That said, I really didn’t feel that I needed to read those books in order to get this one. I think it stood pretty well all on its own.

Overall a good book that I really enjoyed reading. This was definitely more relationship driven than MC driven. There was very little interaction with the MC, actually, so even if you’re not a fan of MC romances, but like a good contemporary romance, this would be a good one to pick up.

This was a stand alone second chance MC romance. It was a really good story with likable main characters. I liked it enough that I plan to go back and read the other two in the series. The only issue I had was the characters constant thought process back to 10 years ago. I wished that the fleshing out of the past had been handled in a different way. But overall, it was well worth reading...very good book.

**Received ARC from NetGalley for a fair and honest review**
Burned is the 3rd book in the Vikings Bastards MC series. This book can be read as a standalone, but I'm of the opinion you don't get as much out of it when you don't know the other characters. That's just my opinion though. I really enjoyed this book. It is my favorite hands down of the three books. I really enjoyed Ty and Jas, at the beginning I was a little hesitant about my opinion on Jas, but as the story went on I feel like I understood why the author wrote the story the way she did. I know that's vague, but I would be giving spoilers away if I said more. I did have one issue with the book, , in order not to give anything away I will unfortunately have to be vague again. Jas went through some stuff when she was 17, because of it she up and left her home with her mom in LA to go live with her dad in Florida. She never got over Ty so she never really dated or anything, then goes back to LA because her mom dies and things go back to how they were almost as if no time has passed and nothing happened. I understand she gets therapy, but the way it unfolds leaves questions in my mind about would someone that went through some stuff behave like that... Ok.... so that aside, I really enjoyed the story, and had a hard time putting it down. Was a fast enjoyable read. Great chemistry between the characters, lots of good emotional strife in the book. Enjoyed the character development. All in all I really enjoyed and can't wait for the next book in the series. Great book. Hope this helps! Happy Reading!!!

Fantastic MC Club read. This is the first book I have read by this author and I will definitely read more. Burned ends in a HEA with no cliffhangers.

Good read, a little bit short though I could have done with a bit more of their background and previous time together. The climax of the story when the truth comes out was disappointing for me I would have liked a bit more of a response from the H.

Wow ! What an amazing discovery this book was for me. Burned is the third book in the Viking Bastards series, and a pleasant surprise for me as it's the first book I've read from Christina Phillips. I was captivated by Ty and Jas and hung on every word of their journey.

This was a great second chance at love story. I absolutely adored the main characters. Ty and Jas started out as two young kids in love but then tragedy tore them apart and Jas left town and a very bitter Ty behind. He demands answers when Jas returns ten years later to bury her mother. But Jas has a few secrets that he never knew about. In a way this very well written romance painted a bittersweet story. I was surprised as the author slowly revealed her secrets and got to me emotionally reading about all Jas had been through. Ty was a super awesome hero in the end. I loved what he did for Jas and what she did for him, as well.

This book was very character driven to me. I loved how vibrant Ty and Jas were, and can't wait to read the previous two books that I missed in the series. To me this book was amazing. I hope Christina Phillips will continue the series with Hawke or Cade soon.

As far as second chances go, Ty was pretty lucky with this one. Jas wasn't really looking for one, but sometimes surprises are best.

This is the third book in the series and I loved it. I have to say that I was not even thinking of Ty as getting his own book, but boy I am glad he did. I honestly thought that out of this series that I loved Gage, and don't get me wrong I still do, however I was shocked by how I much I ended up liking Ty. Normally I dislike any person who uses sex with meaningless hook-ups to get over someone, and not that I condone that behavior but I actually felt for Ty and understood him (shocking right?) Anyhoo loved and his love interest Jas, and I am pretty sure you will to. Christine broke our hearts and then mended them, I truly can't wait til the next one.. Enjoy!
