A billionaire, a facial mask, rules, an exception to every rule, fears of commitment, and a bit of spice! A story of love, hope, and discovering what you really desire can't be put into a list, unless you're willing to make changes ;).
I loved Foster immediately and was hoping Natalie would want him just as much. This was such a great story and great couple! I haven't read the other books by this author yet, but they're definitely on my TBR list now!
A well written steamy romance that I absolutely loved reading from start to finish. The characters I enjoyed reading about and found they had great chemistry. I cant wait to read more form this author.
2 stars
I am going to feel like I am alone here, but I skimmed most of the book. I didn't really care for it.
The Firstborn Prince was a very enjoyable read. The character interaction made the story although I would like to have seen more between the brothers.
First time author for me and I am pleasantly surprised, I couldn't put it down I was hooked from the beginning and my interest never wavered
I received a complimentary copy from Netgalley and I am voluntarily leaving my own honest opinion
I absolutely love entangled publishers authors and I’m a big fan of Virginia Nelson books too. This is the third book in this series and I can say this is my favourite book so far by Virginia Nelson. Also I my favourite in this series too. The characters really make this book a 5 star book all day long, if I could give more I would have. I loved the romance and chemistry between them and how they interacted with each other and other characters in the story. This book had me hooked from the beginning and held my attention the whole way through till the very end. A must read book that I would definitely recommend to everyone. I would also recommend reading these books in order to get the most reading pleasure out of them.
Loved it.
Read it in one sitting.
Would definitely recommend to a friend
Foster Boyd wants to take control of the family business. While no stranger to scandal himself, he is anxious that his twin brother’s recent troubles not impact their family’s legacy. Seeking to distract his brother he sets out to hire a woman to help him in his quest.
Natalie Stolen is a disgraced image consultant. Desperate for clients she agrees to Foster’s ridiculous scheme. Working closely together they can’t resist the chemistry that burns between them.
This was a light hearted enjoyable read. If your looking for something to pass the time on a dull afternoon, this is a book for you.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Cute billionaire romance. I enjoyed the twin aspect. Great light read or vacation indulgence.
A spin doctor that has lost it all. He was the one who would raise her up all the while having his needs met. A win-win situation. Would could possibly go wrong? Natalie’s world fell out from underneath her and Foster was ready to protect his families empire. Being a constant target of the paparazzi wasn’t easy and it was time to change. Would Natalie be able to help him change for the better and give his life a deeper meaning?great story on how you can rise back to the top despite losing everything.
Don't read too many of this kind of contemporary romance but I do like this author's writing so I gave this one a shot. This centers around Foster and Natalie who twist their tale around you getting into what is going on with them. Foster thinks he has a plan but you know what they say about plans especially when people are involved. Desperate times calls for desperate measures and that means Natalie can not resist because it means her too. The fun part of this read is when things go their own way with you seeing it all.
As an image consultant having no clients means disaster and unless Natalie Stolen can find and help a client that will aid her in bringing in others, she'll no longer be able to do what she does best. So, when Foster Boyd comes to her with an offer she can't afford to refuse, she finds herself helping Foster to save his family legacy and be a suitable distraction for his brother. Yet, the more time she spends with Foster, the harder it is to resist their powerful chemistry. Will Foster and Natalie achieve their happy ever after, or will their past demons keep them apart?
Although I haven't read the first two books of this series, I found this book could easily be read as a stand-alone and I've got to say that it was such a riveting and enjoyable read that I loved from start to finish because of the rules that start off each chapter; the main characters that have such interesting back stories; and compelling dialogue that had me loving the obstacles these two face to be together including the scandal that Natalie finds herself at the centre of. Will Foster be able to make things better for Natalie when she needs him to?
As for the main characters, they were relatable, likeable and I loved these two together, as the heroine was determined to get her way when it came to how she was going to do the job Foster wants. Will she be able to distract Foster's brother, so the hero can find a way to save the family company? Moreover, the heroine is resilient; very good at her job, despite the mess she's made of it and led her to losing all her clients; persistent when it comes to going after what she wants, especially when it comes to her relationship with Foster; and I liked how determined she was to help clean up the Boyd brothers reputations and help get things back on track after the blunder they had with their latest product campaign.
While the hero, he's confident, smart, determined and it's palpable he's used to getting what he wants, especially in the moment he comes face-to-face with the heroine for the first time. Certainly, he does everything he can to wear her down until she agrees to his plan, even if it isn't in her best interest. I also enjoyed reading the rules the hero had in place to keep himself safe from ever getting hurt. Do his rules really work? Will the heroine be an exception to his rules? Will the hero get what he wants when it comes to the company?
Overall, Ms. Nelson has delivered a wonderful read in this book where the chemistry between this couple was powerful; the romance steamy; and the ending had me loving how the hero's brother isn't afraid to offer his advice to both the hero and heroine. Will either of them listen? Who will make things right between them? Furthermore, I liked how things worked out for this couple, especially when it came to which one of them made things right between them. Yet, it was the epilogue that wrapped things up nicely, as readers discover how good things are going for the heroine when it comes to her career and how good things are going between Foster and Natalie. I would recommend The Firstborn Prince by Virginia Nelson, if you enjoy the enemy to lovers trope or books by authors Naima Simone, Donna Michaels, Sharla Lovelace and Diana Gardin.
foster boyd (the firstborn prince) and his twin brother (the rogue prince) inherited a cosmetics empire and millions of dollars. they also inherited a life in the spotlight. now foster wants to manipulate the situation to ensure he has full control over the family business and he decides that help from image consultant natalie stolen is exactly what he needs.
except the moment he meets her it's like he forgets his plan. and i'd explain the plan but to be honest, i don't think anyone in the book ever fully got it either, because it's not very clear and never really followed through on. but that's not actually a knock on the story. the plan was stupid from the get-go and foster's brother is clearly aware of what is going on anyway, which makes the whole thing even dumber. i'm sorry i need to stop talking about this plan.
the plan isn't important. because from the moment foster meets natalie it's clear that all he wants is her. and even though she knows that she shouldn't want him. she does. and he has hang-ups and commitment issues aplenty and natalie is entirely aware of them, but then they also deal with it. and it's sweet.
and oh, if you pick this book up, and you read the homemade active charcoal mask scene without laughing so hard you are crying then there is something wrong with you. that whole scene makes the book. and even more when foster references it in an apology, it's how natalie knows he means it. and as a reader you know it too.
**the firstborn prince will publish on march 12, 2018. i received an advance reader copy courtesy of netgalley/entangled publishing (indulgence) in exchange for my honest review.
So I didn't really buy the whole one secret brought Natalie's world crashing down, however that was a smaller part of the book so I didn't let it take away from my enjoyment of The Firstborn Prince. I read it all in one sitting and I have no regrets. Foster and Natalie were absolutely perfect for each other. I loved their banter and thought their whole story line was very well done. The Firstborn Prince was also the perfect blend of sexy and sweet.
The Firstborn Prince is a quick, sexy, fun read and one I think everyone will enjoy. Very well written with some truly intriguing characters.
Foster Boyd needs to find something to distract his wayward brother before the bad publicity runs their business into the ground. Image consultant Natalie Stolen seems like the perfect person for the job. Too bad it seems that Foster is the only one being distracted by her.
I highly recommend this one.
Billionaire Foster Boyd is a control freak. He and his twin have sworn not to let love destroy them as it did their parents and almost the company. Rules are made to be broken. In this fun and sexy story we see the mighty one and done Foster Boyd fall. I liked image consultant Natalie Stolen she is strong, smart and resilient and just what Foster needs. Watching these two heal each other made my day and left me with a smile.
When a billionaire asks for your help in distracting his brother, it may not go as planned. Sparks fly when Foster has an instant connection with Natalie. The PR genius needs the business after a previous client hid a huge secret. It was a bit confusing at first because of the whole fake girlfriend thing but it became obvious there were true feelings amidst the press rantings. I enjoy Nelson's style however I enjoyed the Irish Prince more. My copy was received through Netgalley.
This was one hot romance! It was so well written. The author did an amazing job of drawing the readers in. I was a ball of emotions with this book!!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own
This is a fun and sexy read that I just loved! It opens with Natalie, an image consultant with an image problem of her own. Then Foster walks into her office and makes her an offer she can't refuse - essentially to act as bait to distract his brother.
Each chapter opens with one of the image "rules" she's set out for each of the brothers which focuses on some of their past antics. For Natalie, the most important rules are don't get involved with a client or become part of the image problem. As expected, all three of them violate their rules, but in a way filled with fun and humor.
This novel made me smile, laugh, and care about the characters. I enjoyed this book so much that I was sorry when it ended. If you haven't read one of the author's Prince books, you are really missing out. Each is a stand alone novel, however, each is like a chip - you can't read just one. The author is on my must read authors' list.
