4.5 Stars!

Are you looking for a well-written novella that is full of sexual desire and an engaging plot? Then pick up a copy of Brazilian Fantasy by Cathryn Fox, and immerse yourself in this erotic yet poignant story. This is the fifth book from the Dossier series and it can be enjoyed as a standalone.

Piper Young is a hardworking daycare teacher with a ton of heart. She has a degree in business that she would like to put to good use, however, corporate has yet to promote her. In addition, her fiance recently dumped her. Piper desperately needs a change of scenery, and one of her five best friends comes to her rescue. It is Piper's turn for an unknown adventure, and that is how she ends up in Brazil, looking forward to fun and epic sex. Imagine her surprise when she finds out she is the temporary nanny to a billionaire's four-year-old daughter.

Lucas Santos is a widower that lives with tremendous guilt in regards to his late wife's death. He is an extremely successful software engineer that works from his home in order to be close to his young daughter, Maddie. Maddie has not spoken since her mother passed away and she takes a while to warm up to new people in her life.

Piper and Lucas find each other incredibly attractive, and fall in love during the three weeks that Piper is in Brazil. Piper's ability to quickly bond with Maddie only adds to Lucas's newfound feelings. They have a ton of epic sex, which fulfills the friendship pact Piper and her friends agreed to years ago.

Ms. Fox does an amazing job of combining a sexy story with a touching plot. Piper and Lucas are extremely likable characters, because they are genuine and nurturing. Their sexy times are hot, especially when a closet is the only private space available. Lastly, this novella has a wonderful ending that will leave you with a huge smile on your face.

Brazilian Fantasy by Cathryn Fox is book Five in the "Dossier" series. This is the story of Piper Young and Lucas Santos. I have read some of the other books in this series but feel this is easily a standalone book.
Piper and her friends have went into a pack where they draw another person name and give them an exciting vacation adventure. When Piper's 25 birthday comes around she is given her vacation information that she will be three weeks in Rio De Janeiro. When she arrives at the Manson there in Rio De Janeiro she meets Lucas and learns that Alyssa is his cousin and that she will be a Nanny to his daughter who just lost their nanny. Piper who is getting over a broken engagement thought this was her chance for fun and excitement not a Nanny job. But Piper can't seem to tell the handsome Lucas that or the broken little girl who lost her mother.
Along with being a really hot read this was a really great novella.

Piper Young has been sent to Brazil for the holiday of a lifetime by her friends. However, when she arrives she finds that she is expected to be the fill in nanny to a widower’s child who worms her way into her heart. She finds it difficult to resist the attraction that is building between them and starts to dread her return to New York. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Sent to Brazil as part of a sorority pact, Piper meets Lucas who could possibly be the man of her dreams. Problem is this is suppose to be a short fling. Add in Lucas' adorable daughter and Piper sees nothing but heartbreak in her future.

This is a quick steamy read that will make us all want our own Brazilian fantasy man! I definitely recommend this one.

This was the sweetest of the 5 books in the series so far, and I really enjoyed it. All the books in this series are smoking hot, and quite fun to read.

Piper Young made a pact with her friends. They each drew a name, and each of them will get an adventure to go on for their 25th birthday, completely planned out and paid for by the person who drew their name. Piper has been sent to Rio de Janeiro for weeks of fun in the sun. Part of the pact is, none of them is aloud to come home without having epic sex. Piper is a daycare teacher, and because of that, she's decided to never have kids of her own. They can be so horrible! She isn't sure what to expect in Brazil, but it's definitely not to be staying with her friend Alyssa's widower cousin and his mute little girl. She's to be the girl's temporary nanny while the actual nanny is on vacation. She's going to kill Alyssa. How is she supposed to have an epic trip under these circumstances??

Lucas Santos is a workaholic. He's poured himself into his job ever since the death of his wife, but to be honest, it was like that before as well. His daughter, Maddie, has been emotionally scarred by her mother's death, and hasn't spoken since it happened. He works now from a home office to be closer to Maddie when she needs him, and he has an old family friend who has become Maddie's nanny. With her on a well deserved vacation, he needed a fill-in, and his cousin Alyssa sent her friend Piper. Except it becomes apparent right away that Piper had no idea the situation she was walking into. Lucas also isn't expecting the attraction he feels for her.

Lucas and Piper have crazy chemistry from the beginning, but they are both fighting it for their own reasons. For a short novella, this is a bit more of a slow burn than the other stories in this series. Piper and Maddie get along so well and she cares so much for the girl, and she's worried about getting involved with Lucas when she's supposed to be leaving in a few weeks. Lucas is worried about his daughter's emotional state, and he wants Piper to be able to help with that, and doesn't want to get in the way. I loved the way they tiptoed around each other until they just couldn't any more.

This was a sweet, sexy short story, and I enjoyed it very much. I highly recommend this entire series to anyone looking for a quick and dirty fun read. There's only 1 book left to go, and the heroine is the instigator of their little friendship pact. I can't wait to see how her story comes out!

Hot, quick and sweet. Perfect for an evening read. Apparently this is part of a series, a group of friends decide to plan trips for each other. Each woman got her fantasy trip but Piper's got tweaked a bit. A beautiful story about a young widow and his daughter struggling with the loss of her mom. Lucas needs a temporary nanny and Piper needed a glamorous vacation, somehow it all works out. Not having read the other books I was not confused because each book is a standalone. I requested my copy through Netgalley.

the latest in the dossier novellas finds piper young thrilled to be sent to rio de janiero in brazilian fantasy. except that when she gets there her host, lucas santos doesn't appear to realize that epic sex was supposed to be on the agenda. instead, he believes she is there to take his nanny's place for three weeks.

piper is pissed, but when she meets young, traumatized maddie she finds that she can't say no. and the fact that lucas is supremely attractive doesn't hurt.

neither of them is looking for a long-term relationship. but when they discover how compatible they are in all aspects of their lives, neither lucas or piper wants to say goodbye after three weeks. this quick, sexy read is surprisingly emotional. there is some real weight and sweetness around maddie's trauma and how it resonates with piper.

**brazilian fantasy will publish on march 19, 2018. i received an advance reader copy courtesy of netgalley/entangled publishing (scorched) in exchange for my honest review.

Off the hook fantastic! This is my absolute favorite of the Dossier series, Cathryn really hits it out of the park with this one right from page one.
Piper arrives in Rio a dream come true for her for a much needed break from things at home. Job loss, dumped by her man, anything that could go wrong did. She so needed this break. Giving her time to sort out what she wants to do rather than working at the preschool she's been working at, while holding a college degree.
When she arrives in Rio, walking up to the beautiful home in front of her was like a dream, and the man who answered the door, even better. Meet Lucas, eye candy for the weary. A little confused when he spoke in plural, "we" "us" Piper wondered if this incredible man in front of her was married. While still standing in the entry she see a blur of pink out of the corner of her eye and when she turns she sees a small child. Her wheels are clicking and while tall, dark and incredible is talking she's realizing that she's there to babysit, all the while at the same time Dad is realizing the same thing.
A call to Alyssa, his cousin who is now living on a tropical island with two men as a result of her "epic" weekend, Alyssa half explains the whole Dossier plan and the epic weekend and knowing he needs someone. Lucas has shut down since the death of his wife several years ago. His daughter hasn't spoken a word since the loss of her mother. He's hired a nanny and said nanny is on vacation so the assumption is that Piper is going to babysit. When he clarifies the understanding with Piper, Piper does what she does best, relates to children, even though she's made clear that she doesn't want any. Piper has a past too. Which you read about in the story. Lucas blames himself for his wife's death. The first thing Piper does is toss the nanny's schedule out. 4 year olds don't need that. They have girl time and Maddie warms to Piper really quickly. Piper, knowing what she's doing, talks Lucas into going shopping, which he hates but goes along and they hit the mall. Right into the pet store. Piper knows that the human dog connection is a strong one and this little girl needs that.
Meanwhile things heat up with Lucas and Piper. And things just flow.
The plot was perfect, I have to admit the first couple pages I was peeved about Piper having to be a nanny but the story... took care of itself. The characters were over the top great. I loved Lucas and Piper together and of course Maddie. The steam factor was over the top. Cathryn's writing flames, forget the smoke! This book was a page turner, it wasn't at all predictable and I absolutely loved it.
Mark it as a TBR and buy the book! As I said, my favorite of the whole series. Epic? Absolutely.
It was beyond epic. Showers of stars!

Never has a book title been so on point on what the story will do to you - take heed, this is not for the faint of heart, and it will devastate you, as it does to the characters involved

This is the story of Tate. Born to a prostitute, orphaned young, and raised by prostitues, only to be kidnapped and sexually tortured for weeks. His time in captivity left him damaged, and by the time he came around to profess his love for his best friend, her love had returned to claim her. He then focuses on making her happy, which involves finding out what happened to her sister all those years ago. Little does he realize, her sister, Lucia, is his other half, and she has been in hell all this time

Lucia holds no hope, her life is limited, her time on earth, ticking away. She has long forgot her past, there is no one left from it. Her present makes her sick, but it is all she has, and she survives as well as she can. Her future doesn't exist, it is only the now. When Tate shows up, she starts to feel like maybe there is something more for her, but she should have known better

This is a stand alone in a series, and a dark, twisted, angry, and violent series it is. Characters from other books, Cole is here, and from the series, Liv, and Josh are around. Van plays an important part in the book, and you get to see his softer side, though it is still pretty rough. Cole is also front and center, and still heartbroken, and we get his edgier side. It's a good thing, and he wears it well. Camilla and Matias are here, how could they not be, but they truly are minor in it all

To say Tate and Lucia go through hell in this book is true. They are hurt, there are truly awful things that happen to them, and they fall apart. If you are of the faint of heart, or a sunshine and rainbow romance reader, this isn't your book. If you like the dark, the true dark and heartache, where really bad things happen, and yet, our characters make it through, you can handle this. Even Van gets bad and ugly things here, and his redemption continues, as he continues to try and be an okay guy.

There is a new bad here, and he is really good at being that bad. He isn't done yet, and he is still out there. Van's former slaves are all still banded together, and they know, having right and might on their side, isn't always enough. Not in this world, not where they need to be, or where they have to go. Good doesn't always win, and even when it does, the scars run deep. In this case, there are so many scars, but they show they survived, and that is all Tate and Lucia get to cling to in the end, their scars

This is a sexy and fun romance that fans of the genre will enjoy. I loved Piper and the way she embraced her fantasy vacation to Brazil that was set up for her by her friend. Then, once she arrives, she learns that she's the nanny.....lol.....and plotting her friend's demise. Imagine being on a fantasy vacation with a sexy bazillionaire to then find out he sees you as the staff....sigh.

This novel moves quickly and made me smile. While it is predictable, it is told in a fun way with a bit of spice. Romance fans will want to put this one on their TBR list.
